Mirai smiled and slipped her ID back in her coat pocket. When asked to follow the Lieutenant, she began walking behind her while glancing around at the camp. Part of her was a little worried about the ranks Sable had given them. God forbid someone of a way higher rank would recognize one of them, especially Texas. Not only that but the fact that Despair was under the cover of one of Saint Clara's bodyguards seemed a bit too high risked too. She wasn't sure if any other bodyguards of Saint Clara's made it. Her thoughts shifted to Mary. What if she was here too? Despite the huge amount of thoughts racing through her head, Mirai kept a neutral expression on her face as they walked.

Watching the kids leave after his warning, Despair stood back up and was handed back his ID. Placing them back into his pocket. He then nodded as the woman saluted and introduced herself to them. She was a Lieutenant and judging by her appearance, she was still fairly young, well compared to Despair, everyone was young. The girl seemed to have fallen for their act and was going to lead them to her Captain. Hearing this, Despair became intrigued. Should the Captain be someone of higher standards, there was a possibility that he or she would know that they weren't who they say they were and if that was the case, chances are they will either be killed on the spot or taken prisoner and then tortured. While this may have worried the others, Despair saw this as a chance to see what the Machinist had to offer. With their Saint missing and HQ in shambles, it would be easy for him, under the guise of Kevin Schwartz, to come in and take command, with his power and all. Despair would become the new leader and have his own little army. Admittedly, this was something that had crossed his mind. "Well then, lets meet this Captain." Despair muttered before following behind the girl.
Trainee Nurse Melanie Du Coteau . Demon Weapon. The webs we weave?
As Sable mentioned the existence of a graveyard, Melanie felt goosebumps travel across her spine. The mere thought of... "N-no! I can't!" People had lost their beloved ones, families were torn apart because of the incident and were now held on the graveyard. She couldn't just be a selfish person and... "I said no!" Melanie bit her lip, showing uneasiness as Sable confirmed her question, there was a brief silence between the two for most of the part. As Sable broke the silence and spoke about her second statement, the girl smiled nervously. "I know... but that could backfire on me. I mean my friends would call me by my name. If I'm not careful enough I may accidentally name them by their own." She confessed, hearing the high ratios of acceptance towards her person. She didn't need to be a genius to understand what Sable was saying, these people needed help and she would gladly provide it. Which made her feel worse every time she thought about .... "That's enough!" Upon reaching the destined point, Sable would halt the jeep and proceed to explain how things would roll from now on. Melanie smiled, not before reaching out for the boy's hand and held it between hers. "Thank you...Sable. And good luck to you..." With that Melanie smiled briefly for an instance, before letting go of Sable's hand and be on her way.
As she did, she tried her best to track the group. Her soul perception wasn't the best. So the best she could do is track their trail.

"i dont bite...i may purify you...and it will hurt way more then biting" she muttered to herself so that no one could hear her.

As Melanie got out of the jeep and headed towards the camp Sable took off quickly, heading back into the forest until the jeep could no longer be heard.
Lt. Laurell led the group through the refugee camps, winding through the tents as Melanie was slowly able to catch up. The group would have to side-step both people and trash as they continued. Some of the people were going about different tasks: setting up tents, distributing supplies, fixing vehicles, cleaning weapons among other things. However, it seemed that most people were standing or sitting around doing nothing. Everyone either had on military uniforms or what clearly used to be high-scale, designer clothing. Though everyone's clothing was ragged and many of their outfits were torn. Lt. Laurell side-stepped most of them, saluting a few of the military personnel as she went by. She looked back at the group as they passed a particularly large group of people doing nothing. "Spoiled," she muttered and shook her head. "These people. They're mostly from the Upper Cities. Many of them never had to do a day of manual labor in their lives. Still think they're above it somehow, like they should be handed everything. It's the military keeping this place together, not the-" she cut herself off suddenly as if she were about to say something she shouldn't have. "Sorry," she told them, slightly embarrassed. "I shouldn't talk politics." She turned back again, weaving through a few more tents until she came to what passed for a dirt road where another figure was standing, giving orders to the driver of a large military truck that had pulled over.
Lt. Laurell jogged up to her, leaning forward and whispering something in her ear. The girl would be familiar to both Lily and Mirai and her eyes widened as the Lieutenant finished whispering to her. She turned to face the group and looked them over, clearly assessing them and waiting for them to say something. By this time Melanie would have caught up to the group if she had continued to track them.

Mirai glanced at Laurell as she spoke of some of the upper class people. She smiled as she apologized "It is quite alright. I had a few friends in the Upper Cities that acted the same way," she said. She stopped walking as she saw a rather familiar face. A few choice swear words went through her head before glancing over at Despair once both women were out of ear shot "Don't let your little role get to your head. I have my own mission to go on and if you ruin it, you will regret it," she warned him quietly, almost like she could read his thoughts. Her gaze shifted to Melanie as she seemed to catch up with them. She smiled faintly at her before it seemed the woman was staring at them. She approached before bowing slightly "Um... Hello. I apologize for taking so long to arrive here. Just say the word and my partner and I will do whatever we can to help," she told the woman, smiling politely at her as she finished speaking.
Trainee Nurse Melanie Du Coteau . Demon Weapon. The webs we weave?
Once she caught up with the group. Melanie gave a slight reverence towards the group, but kept a silent profile for the time being, after all she just got there in what appeared to be an important moment. By the looks of it they were on the middle of some sort of important discussion and thus she didn't wished to interfere. Stepping to the side she could see Lily wearing a rather... intriguing choker while she noticed most of the men around ogled her. This was unconfrtable to Melanie but she could tell it would be even worse for Lily, but for the time being she had to endure it. The other person, was Despair, which she didn't seem to know at all. And thus treated him as an Actual machinist. You would had to blame his Acting skills for that. As such Melanie actually thought this was a Mission of 4 people rather than 5. Hearing Mirai or rather Mary, which Melanie ignored her current secret name. She would wait for them to "introduce" themselves so she may keep tabs on each individual's new name. On the time being, She observed Mirai speaking with what appeared to be a high ranked officer.

[ Threat: Extremely Dangerous]|[ Despair ]|[ Title: Demon of Light and Hope]|
As they made their way through the people and trash, Despair kept an watchful eye on Laurell as she seemed to have had some sort of deep anger towards those from the Upper Cities. Judging by how she reacted it was clear that she was not born in the Upper Cities, perhaps she was of a lower class, one that the upper class looked down on and humiliated. If that was the case, then her sudden outburst was something to be expected. After apologizing for her actions, Laurell and the group would continue on, until they reached their destination. As they did, Mirai would deliver a warning or more like a threat, to Despair. He had almost forgotten that she could read his thoughts or at least be able to tell what he was planning. "Come now, what problem is it to you, if I decide to have fun?" he whispered to her before focusing back on Laurell, who had been talking to some woman. The Captain was yet another female, but this one carried herself with a bit more composure and such. Obviously she was one of the ones in control at the moment. As Mirai bowed and offered her services to the woman, Despair would do the opposite. "So, you're one of the few left alive and in charge of this Camp?" he asked, before giving a brief salute. "My name is Kevin Schwartz and while I am here to aid you in rebuilding, I will not follow your orders or any others. I serve and obey only her majesty, the Saint. Discovering her whereabouts and recovering her is my one and only mission." As Kevin, Despair would immense himself into the role of a loyal bodyguard. He would think only of Saint Clara and be commanded by no other. Around the same time as this, Melanie, the last member of the group, would appear.
Lily Treinna Lily with Blood Blade Nine tailed Form _____________________________________________________________ Lily just sighed as she heard him mention having fun "theres never any time t have fun during a mission unless the mission is helping someone with entertainment" she muttered "hes going to end up blowing his cover by acting all smug and such" she added under her breathe. lily just remained focused on listening to everyone talk around them.

Some men just want to see the world burn...
And I just want to show them.
Lt. Laurell nodded as the others introduced themselves. She turned back to the Captain, grinning. "Two SF T1s and an EG! Are we lucky or what? And the EG is a royal guard!" As soon as the last two words left the Lieutenant's mouth, her superior straightened up suddenly, her eyes widening slightly but only for a moment. "Royal Guard?" She asked. She quickly grabbed Lt. Laurell by the arm and pulled her around so that neither of them were facing the group. The Captain then leaned in and whispered something quietly to The Lieutenant. Lt. Laurell seemed to stiffen as soon as the Captain spoke. They paused for a moment and then both turned around. They both stared at Despair for a moment with unreadable expressions before The Captain walked forward. She gave a salute to the entire group as if nothing had happened. "Captain Belle Cross," she said as she lowered her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you all. We could sure use some help around here." Captain Cross still had a light accent as she did in the future, but something was very different: instead of a French accent, she had a southern one. It wasn't a deep accent but it was definitely there.
Like the Lieutenant, Captain Cross had a sword and pistol on either side of her belt. The pistol looked the same, probably standard issue. But the sword looked different from her subordinate's. Her uniform was ragged as well and had tears and bloodstains throughout it but she still wore it proudly right down to the band around her arm with The Machinist symbol. "Truth is you did come at the right time; we're low on strong soldiers and getting lower by the day. This camp won't be able to sustain or defend itself soon and most of these people will be ripe for the slaughter. We've been making forays into the ruins of the Mobile Headquarters for supplies but each foray seems to have a pretty high price. The ruins are filled with scavengers, looters, barbarians, psychos, augment-rejects and such. The kind of trash that used to be regulated to the Machine Dumps. Unfortunately that place was furthest from the reactor when it exploded and so took the least damage. As a result those savages have pretty much overrun it all, killing or....capturing anyone they come across. It ain't too pretty a sight and our teams always come under fierce attack when we make a run. We're low on people with the skills and the balls to go get what we need as it is but now we've got an even bigger issue with the place that needs to be dealt with. I won't go into details at the moment; there'll be a briefing, but it's bound to get ugly and we'll need all-hands-on-deck." She folded her arms as she spoke and then looked towards Despair. "I understand you have your priorities Guardsman Schwartz. Fortunately they align with ours at the moment. You want to look for clues as to Saint Clara or other still-missing officials then where we're going tomorrow is the best place to start." Lt. Laurell looked at The Captain. "Captain we should....introduce them to the Gene Children..." the hesitancy in the Lieutenant's voice was glaringly obvious. The Captain nodded. "Sure thing Lieutenant, but I think we'll run them by the other Officers first. We need to make sure to factor 'em into our battle plan for tomorrow."
Lieutenant Laruell nodded quickly. "Yes, good idea," she agreed. Captain Cross surveyed the group again before her eyes returned to Mirai and Texas. "Four of you, huh? And you two are anti-witch and anti-Weapon. Those could definitely come in handy.""Actually, it looks like we've got a new one too!" Lt. Laurell piped up as she saw Melanie. She stepped forward, a grin on her face. "ID please?" She asked, holding out her hand. "Watch the Kitsune," Captain Cross told Mirai, Texas and Despair. "Don't let it start digging holes or anything. We're disorganized enough as it is." Captain Cross lifted off her cap for a moment, shaking out her hair before putting it back on. Despite the rough outfit, The Captain was still strikingly beautiful and she still looked as if she could easily be a princess if she were in a different setting with a different outfit. "Like I said, we'll be introducing you to the other officers. Our full Command Staff is at the HQ tent so I'll be taking you all there. Then I'll take you to the Gene Children."
I wish you could see The bridge that leads from you to me But every time you try to cross You always manage to get lost
Without a second glance you left me stranded I climbed I slipped I fell but at least I tried If you turn your back, I'll burn that bridge

Mirai nodded at Belle "It's a pleasure to meet you too, I am Mary Weinbaum from the Anti-Witch division. My partner, Roland, and I will do our best to help you," she said. At the mention of some of the thugs that were taking control of the rest of the headquarters, Mirai's expression shifted into a more serious one though there was a hint of worry too "I see... You may have to keep a close eye out on them. If they get the right materials from those ruins, they can become a serious threat," she warned. "Especially the augment rejects." When she was told to keep an eye on Lily, Mirai glanced nervously at her then at Belle "U-Uh... alright... I don't really know her or the guard though... I will try..." she said with a nervous tone. Seeming like the shy/sweet type seemed like the good way to go at the moment. When Belle talked about introducing them and the Gene Children, Mirai nodded with a small smile. Who were the Gene Children?

Trainee Nurse Melanie Du Coteau . Demon Weapon. The webs we weave?
While there was a slow moment of tension once Despair or more likely Schwartz introduced himself, the Captain and the Lieutenant would eventually ease the conversation while speaking to the rest of the group with great expectations. As they did, Melanie felt relieved, for a moment she thought about the idea of guns blazing and swords slashing all over the place but for what it seemed, the machinist weren't as barbarically and non sensical as they were described in the previous reports. While it was still uncomfortable to see how deep the discrimination against Lily or more likely any non machinist was... even those of "lower class" the place still held a little charm.
Listening the conversation, she was soon put into a tight spot when Lieutenant Laurel suddenly acknowledged her presence. Melanie's eyes widened before looking at everyone in the group, until it finally came to the fact she was the new one they were speaking.
Observing Laurell walking by and extend her hand, she would then hear the Lieutenant ask for her ID.
"Oh, of course..."
Melanie answered as her hand was gently guided over her leather bag, unbuttoning the main fold to pick upon the middle pocket and unzip it to look into the various papers she held inside. Most of them were recipes and notes regarding how to elaborate some potions and solutions. After looking into it for a bit, she finally reached out for the Passport she got from Sable, picking over the dark blue cover before she would held it out to land it gently upon Laurell's palm.
"Here you go, and if I'm not too bold myself, may I know who am I speaking to? I usually don't leave the medical wings unless of course I'm out on the field. So I rarely meet other people besides the one's I'm working with."
She explained, a soft chuckle would escape from her lips while they formed a grin.
"It would be nice to refer to my superiors by their names."

[ Threat: Extremely Dangerous]|[ Despair ]|[ Title: Demon of Light and Hope]|
Despair would notice as the two women would seem to discuss something before turning and staring at him. Even though this could have meant that his cover had already been blown, Despair didn't seem too concerned. It was like he wanted to be discovered, that way he could just fight and kill them, thus ending this so-called "mission" rather quickly. As Captain Cross, turned around once more and saluted, Despair would do the same. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Captain Cross." he stated before lowering his hand. Captain Cross then went on to explain to them their current situation and how Despair and the others could be of great help to them, though Despair appeared to have been paying attention, his mind was off somewhere else. More than likely, he was thinking of useless things: sex, fighting, scheming, sleeping and more sex. Those were the most common things that came across his mind, however he would soon be brought back to reality as Captain Cross looked directly at him and spoke about searching for clues on Saint Clara and other officials. "I see, well then, I guess our missions do align." he added. The Captain and Lieutenant then went on about something called gene children as well as introducing them to the other officials. "The kitsune?" Despair asked as Cross warned them to keep an eye on her. Despair would then go over and place his hand on Lily's collar, dragging the kitsune towards him, "Don't worry, I have thoroughly trained this creature. She should know better than to do anything without a superiors permission, or rather, my permission." With his hand still around the collar, Despair would fling Lily back and into Mirai, "As a non-machinist and non human, she is lucky to have her life now. If she happens to act up, I will kill her on the spot." Despair or rather Kevin Schwartz, would show his fierce loyalty to the Machinist as well as his dislike of anything non-human with this brief display. "Anyway, lets get moving." he added before glancing back at Captain Cross.
[[just in case you guys didn't know, "faux" is a French-come-English word that means "fake" and is pronounced "fox".]]
Some men just want to see the world burn...
And I just want to show them.
Lt. Laurell accepted Melanie's passport, flipping it open to check the contents. "A field medic!? Wow this is great!" She said, holding the passport up for Captain Cross to see. The Captain nodded, also seeming pleased. The Lieutenant handed Melanie back her passport, her eyes widening slightly for a moment when she heard Melanie tell her that she forgot to introduce herself. "Oh, sorry!" She gave Melanie a quick salute. "Lieutenant Laurell," she said with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you ma'am!" Captain Cross gave Mirai a confused look when she mentioned she didn't know the Kitsune. "Well of course you don't. Why would you?" She asked. She looked over at Despair when he spoke up and gave him a nod. "Try not to kill it. It's a U2 so it obviously has some combat trainin. We're going to need that later." Just as Captain Cross finished speaking two more figures walked up.
The man in the black and green uniform had a rather menacing sword on one hip with the same standard issue pistol on the other, but he didn't give off a violent aura. He walked casually up to Captain Cross and gave her a nod. From the lack of salute and formality from either one of them towards each other, it was obvious they were the same rank. The kitsune gave off a more dangerous aura though she didn't seem particularly hostile. She gave a more stiff, formal salute, the heels of her stark white boots clicking together as she did so. Captain Cross returned the salute and the kitsune relaxed. Except...something was strange about her, but only Lily would be able to notice. She smelled like a kitsune and her soul looked exactly like ones and to anyone else who wasn't a kitsune she would seem like a perfectly normal one but Lily would be able to tell that something just wasn't right about her.
Captain Cross turned back to the group. "This here is Captain Aaron Schifo," she began, nodding to the man. The Captain gave the group a brief salute. "And this one here is-""Special Forces April May and if you laugh I'll kill you," the kitsune interrupted, saying the sentence as if the entire thing was her name. Strangely, she too had a southern accent although hers was thicker than Captain Cross's. "She's one of our Fauxes. One of our most recent graduates to undergo what we like to call the "Faux-ification" process. It's relatively new. Or was. We can't do it anymore until we rebuild the expensive, sophisticated equipment we used before." The Faux looked back at the group as well. "We've been using them to infiltrate other non-human societies except kitsune ones. See, to everyone else they are easily passable as normal kitsunes but for some reason, other kitsunes are able to spot them as fakes once they get within ten feet or so. We think it has something to do with how they move their tails and ears in comparison with the rest of their subtle body movements; something only a kitsune who's grown up in a kitsune culture would pick up on." April May turned to look at Lily with a neutral expression on her face - though that just seemed to be her default expression anyway - "Ain't that right hun?" She asked.
"These here are Mary Weinbaum and Roland Fields, Special Forces. This one is Melanie Du Coteau, a medic, the Kitsune is called Lily and this one is Kevin Schwartz, Royal Guard." At the mention of "Royal Guard", April May gave Despair a long side-ways glance and Captain Schifo looked at him for a moment with an unreadable expression, scratching the bottom of his chin. Neither of them made a comment on it however. Lt. Laurell walked back up to Captain Cross and nodded. "Anyway, we really should get to the command tent. The other Officers are already there," she said, echoing Despair's earlier statement.
