Jerami Post 2Jerami gave a happy sound as he was pulled onto his mother's lap, allowing him to snuggle up to her, before he lifted his gaze, and listened as she spoke. It seemed that Momma wasn't going to Sauti then? That was good! He didn't want her going there, he would rather they all stayed together... at least once they got back that was since they weren't exactly together at the moment. Soon though, at least after the festival was over, then they would be able to do things as a family again, something that Jerami looked forward to. Turning to look at Jhana he found himself a little uncertain about that. He wasn't sure if he would want to go with Ma and Shima, not when he didn't know exactly where they had gone. He was happier staying right here with his Mommy instead of going off somewhere he didn't know, "Hmmm... I don't know if everyone is upset. I think that some people seem happy. Probably the festival, right Mommy?" At least that was what he was guessing since festivals were supposed to be fun. This one just seemed to be lest so because of whatever was going on in or around Sauti.

TAU POST 2
Tau nodded his head in approval at his and Liira's shared exasperation. "It's like everyone is just itching to fight around here. Should've stayed in Tale." He grumbled.
He offered his hands out to Tyyn and lifted her onto his shoulders to perch. "They're saying that they're all doo doo heads and dummies and don't know what they want." Tau stuck his tongue out at his daughter.
LIIRA POST 2
Liira let Tau take Tyyn off of her hands before lightly punching him in the arm. "Don't encourage her like that." It was like Tau was trying to go against everything Liira did to bring up Tyyn right. 'Doo doo heads' was not an appropriate phrase for a 3 year old, though it was probably accurate.
"Tyyn, they're talking about fighting. The Alkidike want to fight again, but they want to fight a far away place. They're talking about whether to help the far away place." It was about as good an explanation she could give a 3 year old girl, though it was missing all of the nuances of history as well as the gravity of the choice.
TYYN POST 2
Tyyn giggled and screeched as she was lifted high up onto her daddy's shoulders. She was so high up now! She was taller than anyone else. Though not the people on the stage still.
Tyyn listened to what both her parents had to say, scrunching her face in thought. Most of it was over her head, and she didn't get it. "It sounds like they're doo doo heads." She crossed her arms over her chest. If it didn't make sense then that made them dummies, right?

Cyn Post # 1
Cyn stood off the to the side of the crowd, far enough away to give room to his bandaged arm. Yet he was close enough to hear what was being said by the general populace. He could be closer, but he'd rather not have to baby his arm if someone bumped into it. The arm was still sore from the bout with the Wito pup and it had made archery hard to do. For the first week it was impossible for Cyn to practice, but gods did he try. As the leaders spoke, Cyn turned his attention to them and he listened to what people had to say. A festival wasn't his speed, so instead he came to hear what the leaders had to say. Cyn was sheltered to some extent, but rumors had reached his ears and though politics wasn't his forte, Cyn had a family to protect, and a place to call home so if need be he'd defend it against would be attackers. "We should give Sauti aid, but it would be best to also bolster our defenses in case we stir their ire. All precautionary mind you, as I believe sending people to speak to the Elders is also the correct course of action. If we can prevent another war it is best to do so. But these extremist might not listen to their elders, and in that case we should be prepared." Cyn only spoke his mind, if it was a smart tactical decision or not didn't concern him. Protect ones homelands came first, but who are we to deny succor to another, and of course preventing a war was always best.

SATHE POST 2
Sathe stopped her search for a familiar person to listen to the chatter going on around her. It seemed split, but Sathe had hopes that more would come to their senses and realize that it was times like these that they needed to stand together and fight.
What was to stop the Alkidike from taking over Jauhar and Tale next? The gods knew that they talked of Jauhar as theirs from the beginning and years of bad blood between the races wasn't about to change that anytime soon. Letting them through to Sauti would only strengthen their resolve.
She picked up her search and spotted not just someone she knew, but an entire group of familiar and wanted faces near the edge of the crowd. Aminah and two of her children. She didn't see her mate anywhere, or the third... Shima. But she hurried her steps and closed the distance. "Aminah! You're here. I thought you might have stayed home for this..." She trailed off. Aminah was always trying to help, but with young children, she had thought she would have kept some distance. She was relieved to see her though.

YEJIDE POST 2
Yejide licked the juice off of her fingers and threw the pit of the fruit into the forest. She wasn't altogether sure that she would choose to speak up at all, but she could see that the crowd was wavering between their options. Though she had to scoff at the options in question. Help Sauti or talk to the Alkidike? What made them think that the Alkidike would even listen? Or that the ones wanting to invade were even following orders from their elders? From what she knew about the warrior women she wouldn't be surprised to find out that they were wild and unruly and not under anyone's control.
She leaned back against a bench near the edge of the crowd and watched them talk it out. Maybe if it came to it, she could slink off and hide out while the Alkidike came and attacked everyone from here to Zena and back again.

MIRIN POST 2
Mirin pushed through to the front of the crowd and leaned her chin on the stage, watching the leaders of the races faces as they listened to everyone discussing. C'mon now. You couldn't tell her that they didn't know what to do.
She saw Enki's face almost twitch when someone started mentioning talking to the elders. She knew he wanted to fight and help. And from the looks of his face, he didn't think talking to the elders would work at all.
Which had her thinking; why would it? If the Alkidike were out of control... wouldn't they be out of control to everyone... even their own elders? Like... if someone from Chibale had spread the rumor of them moving out... then not all of them wanted it... but it was looking like they couldn't be stopped. It gave her brain something to munch on while she waited on something from the leaders.

Xariy Post 2
"Fighting is just so messy. Especially if it's fighting a war," Xariy sighed, watching others from her perch in the tree. "Why encourage more bloodshed when we could potentially talk it out? I for one am in no hurry to start another war. If I wanted that I'd go antagonize a Matori." She also knew the Alkidike were great warriors. She wasn't exactly sure if trying to fight them outright was the best of plans. She still just really thought blockading them was not the smartest idea when they didn't know for sure what was happening. If they couldn't talk it out then they could fight, but for now she was behind talking it out first.

Mano Post 2The Matori man found himself scanning the area around where he was standing, his golden eyes alight as he studied each of the people as he watched by. They were rather amazing these tribes, it just made him want to get that much closer to them! Ah, they were amazing weren't they? He was so smart to come up north like this he though to himself. A happy sound escaped from his lips when he spotted a rather beautiful Shifter woman there before him, one that had him lighting up that much more, "Ah! Hello there beautiful!" He chirped happily, taking a few steps toward her. Oh yes, this was more like it, she was definitely the sort that he wanted to spend his time with! Just as he was thinking this, eager to close the space between himself and her, he went crashing into someone else. Once he was able to right himself he turned to see who it was that he had bumped into and he blinked a couple times, "Oh! Wow, I'm sorry my handsome friend, I didn't mean to bump into you like that." Oh! A Wind Tribesman? They really were one of his favorites he thought to himself, doing his best not to bounce in place even though he was quite excited over a beautiful woman and a handsome man to chat with. What a great day!

Alassiel - Post #2At first Alassiel was sure whoever was speaking up was not referencing her, it was only when the man in question neared her did she turn and cast a glance to either side of herself did she point a finger to herself. “Are you speaking to me?” She hadn’t personally met any Matori before, this would be the first but she found him quite striking in looks. He very much looked the part of someone from the sea with the fishing net across his shoulders. She wanted to go to Matori, which was where she’d been heading before coming back home.
“Hello,” she said to him, curiously before glancing to the Wind Earthling he’d bumped into. “Are you okay?”

Phaedra Post 2
Not wanting others to think she was trigger happy she stayed silent waiting to see where Enki would go with everything that was said. Phae still believed that they should block the path of the extremists. It was then that her mind wandered away from her and she found herself thinking about a certain Matori. Would his Alkidike be part of the ones that wanted to take over Sauti? Her green eyes went to the ground as she tried to think about that would make him feel. Phaedra imagined it would break his heart. It was then that she wondered if the Alkidike that had taken earthlings as their mates would stand against their sisters. There was just to much to consider in a decision like this.

Nkole Post 1The Oban was getting the sense he wasn't entirely appreciated being here with the rest of the inhabitants of Jahaur and of Tale. Though he overlooked the strange looks he got he made sure to stick to Teiluj's side. Any closer and people would think that they were joined at the hip. Listening as she spoke quietly about not wanting to fight he looked around the crowd, as the leaders spoke they mentioned war. Something prickled in the back of his head like some memory that was trying to claw its way to the service. Shaking his head slowly he went to reach for her hand, clasping it tightly as he didn't like the idea of losing her in any sort of fight. "I am sure they won't let it come to that.." Nkole spoke though he didn't sound entirely convinced of his own words.

Takoda Post 1Licking his lips he looked to Jacinthus before shifting his weight, he had come with Keilana to the meeting and it always felt a bit awkward when the four of them got together. Though he offered Chalcedony a small smile he soon found himself looking to the leaders and then the crowd around them. "I don't think its...all of them Jacinthus..I have met and worked with quite a few alkidikes..." He managed softly, trying to recall if he really explained where he had vanished for a chunk of time the last time he had to get help from the alkidikes. Keilana Post 1Coming up with Takoda she deliberately knocked into her brother, having noted her brothers attitude towards Chalcedony she gave the archer a cold look before shifting her hammer from the left shoulder to the right and coming to a stop. Perhaps she was being a bit...over eager in the anticipation for battle. "I will do what needs to be done to keep those I hold dear safe." She snorted looking around trying to spot her two sons wishing they had come with her. "Where are the boys?" She inquired looking to Chal as if expecting the father of her children to keep tabs on their kids.

Chandra Post 1Awen was still not quite at one hundred percent, though perhaps she was milking her injuries a bit as she rod atop of Chandra's head while he went in search of his brother. Though he didn't go with his mom or father to this meeting, her was an adult after all he felt that he owed it to his mother at least to make sure Aysun didn't do anything stupid. Spotting his brother he sighed seeing that he hadn't been able to leave all of his pets behind. Sure Chandra had Awen with him, but he couldn't hardly convince the sprite to stay home. He doubted it was the same in his brothers case. "Do you really think it was a good idea to bring your pets here?" He inquired as he went to stand beside his brother noting the position of their parents and family. Idly he wondered were Korra was...perhaps he should of offered to bring her...

Jacinthus Post 2Jacinthus turned to look at his mate, giving a bit of a sighing sound, before he lifted a hand up to rest it on his shoulder, giving a nod, "I know it's not all of them, just as it might not have been all the Obans, but it doesn't mean that this isn't a complete pain. We shouldn't even have to deal with a situation like this, one would think that after the war with the Obans that maybe, just maybe, we could get a bit of peace." He said, complaining a bit. He would never understand why people wanted to go running off to war but if they started something then he'd do what he'd always done, that being helping to fix things, "You know what would be nice? If they would take care of their own instead of making it the problem of everyone else in the world." That part a bit muttered. "I'd much rather this end in a peaceful manner, I really don't feel like fighting a whole new war." It really was tiring to have to fight people. He much preferred using his skills for better things, like hunting and feeding his family and others in the village. He didn't want to use his bow against Alkidike or Earthlings, but it seemed that he was going to be forced to do so yet again, "For the time being we should think first of Yera's safety, it may make me seem selfish and cold but it's our village that is on the border and the one that they will pass by if they go in force toward Sauti. We will be the first to see them from here and will be able to decide what to do based on their numbers." Chalcedony Post 2Chalcedony gave a nod before he gave Takoda a glance, taking in the smile, before he gave him a slight smile in return. Always awkward he thought to himself, brushing the feeling aside best that he could though. He had more to worry about they all that. From there he turned back to where Keilana was, listening to what she was saying, before he nodded. Fighting for those they cared about was what he felt the most comfortable about, the idea of fighting with the Alkidike though, it was strange. He'd grown up with them looming over them like a threat, knew that they were dangerous and something that could one day attack. After so long without a real incident though maybe he'd become complacent? The attacks of late proved that they were dangerous. "Hm?" He glanced around for a moment, then said, "Aysun is riding around on that scaly Oban beast of his. I hope he's actually trying to enjoy the festival, as difficult as it is. As for Chandra..." He glanced around a moment, "I'd say somewhere with his nose in a book? We should see about trying to herd them together so that they are either back here with us or at the very least together looking after each other? What do you think, Keilana?"

Aysun Post 2Turning to look over, and down, toward Chandra he gave a bit of a toothy grin, "I think it's a good idea! Well, mostly because they'd of come here anyway. The last thing I need is for them to be running around rampant trying to find me. Best that the more... problematic ones stay with me so I can keep them under control, right?" He said, giving his ever grumpy brother a smile before holding him a hand out toward him, "Come on, come up here and sit on Maw we me? That way you won't get lost." Taking hold of Maw's horn he leaned over so that he could poke his brother in the cheek, "And no saying 'no' because this way I can keep you safe in case anything happens." He'd be able to carry him to safety like the damsel that he'd always teased Chandra about being. He wanted to protect him, even now, even though he knew that his brother had some of that magical stuff to fight with if anything happened. It didn't mean that he didn't want to look after him no matter how grown up and mature Chandra tried to be. It might be a silly thing to desire at their age but it was just what he wanted, to keep Chandra safe from all the dangers, even if said dangers had beat him up a bit.
