Uncertain how to feel, Oshawott took the five tickets Scyther won at the Wheel of Fortune. Their little fist full of tickets was turning into a handful, but still, he was pretty sure it wasn't enough for anything worthwhile. And if JD was really as nice as Scyther seemed to be suggesting, then he wanted to get something worthwhile. Even if he'd probably use it on the bug pokemon beside him, or something... Just, the thought of being cast aside again like he had with Kail.... it really burned him up. Probably more than losing the games.

Finally! Oshawott grinned as he pulled back from the game, having nearly scored a high score. That was seven tickets right there! Not bad. He turned to show Scyther-- but found the pokemon to be apparently sleeping. Standing up.
.... Wat.
Oshawott walked over, and shoved the pokemon's knees, which was about as high as he could reach. Scyther stepped back and opened his eyes, as though awake the whole time. "Good job," he calmly congratulated. Oshawott stared dubiously back at him. Had he even seen the tickets... or the game? Had the sleeping thing been an act? What a weird pokemon...

While Oshawott and Scyther played their games, JD was relaxing near the grass the bug pokemon dwelled in, listening to the sounds around him, eyes closed-- not that that mattered-- with Zoey snoozing on his chest. Jesse had clawed over to lay halfway across him, which, after some resistance, he decided was okay. He was able to get comfortable, at least, and enjoy the smell of the ocean, the faint sounds of the festival, the wildlife nearby, the wind brushing its fingers through the grass, and the water from Water Path flowing just a little ways off. He could even occasionally pick up sounds from the other islands, carried through the wind, whenever the air current flowed the right direction. It was rather peaceful, and though he knew he would need to focus more on training eventually... he rather liked being able to just lay back. For a 'hard working cowboy'... he certainly did enjoy being lazy.

&~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~& Standing around and watching other people play games at the festival reminded Gio of similar festivals that were held at the foot of the lighthouse every year in Olivine. They had tons of battles and battled to see who would be the care taker for the Pokemon inside the following year. It was always rigged so that Gym Leader would win. The games werent as nice as these ones but it was at that those festivals Gio first met Jasmine. For the longest time he had no idea the battles were rigged and he was certian that she was the greatest trainer in the world. It was only after she had accepted him as a pupil he found out the truth. He wasnt upset about it at all, he was more suprised that the community had that much respect for the Gym Leader to sit there and throw battles so she could keep taking care of her Electric friend.
He smiled as he saw a little boy tugging along someone that seemed to be his older sister. It reminded him of back when he was in Team Snagem and he would drag around his teammates even though they would want to rest after getting back from a mission.
The scene was changing and the sun was starting to set. Gio decided that he would lodge up for the night and head to a different island in the morning. Walking to the Pokemon Canter Gio had an idea. All the reminiscing he had been doing made him think of something he hadnt done in a long time. Gio stepped up behind his Lucario and beought his head up between his Pokemons legs lifting the Steel Type up off the ground so that he was sitting on his shoulders."Its been a long time since I did this huh big guy? You were a Riolu last time if I remeber correctly. Its hard to believe that was almost 4 years ago. You know what though? It was today 7 years ago I saved you from that Trainer in the alleyway."
The Lucario was caught off guard, however he was to tired to try and resist. Then after he realized what his trainer was doing his eyes brightened up a little as he tried to fight back the water works. He set his head and arms on Gios head and began to nap as Gio continued to walk to the Pokemon Venter for the night.

Oshawott, still glancing over his shoulder at the odd Scyther behind him, headed over to the Ring Toss, but let the bug pokemon try since it was one of the few games he could really do. Surprisingly, he was able to get two rings again, and actually came fairly close to landing the third. Had the previous time been a fluke? ... A fake? He seemed pretty good at this game, but then again, Oshawott knew from experience that regardless of how good you are one time, the next time you try you could fail completely. Maybe it was just... luck, then.

With Scyhter getting five tickets from the Wheel of Fortune, their luck was looking pretty mediocre again. Oshawott wasn't sure he even wanted to try for fishing... But he supposed it couldn't hurt. First, though, he wanted to try a few games in the Arcade, see if he could loosen up a bit, and maybe increase hise chances.

'Increase his chances' yeah right! Oshawott deadpanned at the low score flashing on the screen, sighing and hopping down, taking his ticket and heading for the exit. This really was getting tiring. "Perhaps you should try one of the easier fishing games," Scyther remarked, following him out, "It might increase your chances." Oshawott scrunched up his face in distaste, but, honestly... Scyther was right. He'd already been considering it, considering how unlikely winning the Magikarp was. Sure, the prize was great if they won, but the odds? Probably one in one hundred, and Oshawott didn't feel like trying it that many more times.

Scyther stayed behind him, head bowed and watching the water pokemon. It almost seemed as though he were going to say something, but instead he remained quiet, and looked up. Where had JD gone....

&~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~& The Lucario woke up slightly earlier than his trainer like usual. They actually recieved a pretty nice roon even with the festival going on which had suprised the both of them.
Lucario left the Pokemon center and decided that he would try and play the game his Trainer had the day before. He found the Golden Magikarp stand and and requested one of the paper nets. He focused his best on the Golden Object sitting in the pool and attempte to mimic exactly as his trainer had the day before. He launched the net towards the water and scooped it up. However secends before he would have had itthe net broke. It was saddening but at least he won a ticket. He walked around for abit nore and observed the other games that were there to play. None of them really caught his eye as much as that one had. So he made his way back to the Pokemon Center.
Giovanni wondered for a minute were his Pokemon was. He figured though were ever he had run off to he would be back shortly. He decided to go ahead and leave the Pokemon Center, when he ran into his fighting type Pokemon. "Hey buddy, you ready to start the day?" he asked his partner as he walked out the door. His Lucario gabe a simple happy nod as he turned heel and followed more close now than he did before.

The water pokemon managed to pop five balloons at the darts game, gathering the four tickets with obscure expression on his face. "Hey," he piped up, looking up at the scyther as they moved on, "Do you know what kind of prizes he might be interested in?"

Swishing the net around a bit, Oshawott gave a hafl hearted attempt at the fishing game, but the net broke. He sighed, collecting the one ticket and shuffling on. He supposed he shouldn't be surprised JD liked bug pokemon most... half his team was at least half that type, after all. Taking the five tickets Scyther won, Oshawott looked around. He wasn't really sure he could hold onto very many more tickets. His paws were only so big! He wondered if they shoudl try and buy something for JD, or find their trainer, and looked questioningly up at Scyther, who was also scanning the crowds. It was pretty easy to tell they would have to find a way to deposit their tickets sooner or later... hopefully they would be able to locate their trainer without too much difficulty relatively quickly.
