"Oh thank god." Eva opinion of the young man, which originally was already pretty damn high, skyrocketed upon learning that he shared this particular interest. Now that she had no need to inhibit herself, Eva eagerly began to babble.
"Both of those movies are really great! But you know what you should definitely watch? Lilo and Stitch. And Spirited Away! As for horror movies..."
This conversation had opened a whole 'nother can of worms, if the excited look on her face was of any indication as she listed off movie after movie. God bless Chance, the poor, poor guy who was stuck here with chatty mcchattyton.

Chance was listening intently to all of Eva's suggestions, making notes of which ones sounded the most interesting. None of the titles were, of course, familiar, but since he'd seen pretty much nothing at all, this was hardly a negative point.
"Okay, but here's the real question," said Chance, pointing a finger at Eva, a Serious Expression on his face. "Does anyone die in either Lilo and Stitch, or Spirited Away, because I was totally gypped the last time I watched a Disney movie, he told me they were family movies."

Eva stiffened, suddenly all ears at the serious look on Chance's face. Then she cracked a smile, a hint of amusement twinkling in her eyes as she struggled not to giggle. "Lilo and Stitch and Spirited Away are safe, I promise," she said solemnly, pressing a hand to her heart, "...though they both still made me cry."
Her expression got super srs then. "Though if this 'he' suggests that you watch Bambi and you don't like cute animals dying, don't do it. Trust me, Chance, I'm saving your heart."

He was still a little concerned about a movie that had apparently made Eva cry, but at least there was no death; and Chance would not let Otto try and trick him into believing there was.
"What's Bambi?" he asked suspiciously.

"Uhhhhhh..." Eva laughed nervously, chewing on her bottom lip, "Well if you watched the Lion King, it's kiiiiind of like that. I mean...they both have cute baby animals and the cute baby animal's parent, but Bambi has more..."
Struggling to find the words, she made a vague gesture with her hands.
"...shooting?"

He stared at her.
"Well, crossing that one off of my list," said Chance decisively, making a mental note to never let Otto persuade him to watch this Bambi movie. "I watched Tangled and had been convinced that the pretty thief dude was gonna die the whole time, which thankfully turned out to be a load of s**t."

Eva stared up at him with wide eyes.
"Wait, so someone told you that Flynn was going to die? Oh man, that must have been terrible!" Eva knew that when she watched a movie with a death she had accidentally spoiled for herself, she spent the majority of the film on the edge of her seat and waiting anxiously for ~*~*the moment*~*~, so to think that Chance had expected that of Tangled...
"Don't worry. Generally speaking, I think moooost animated movies are pretty death free." She cocked her head to the side, brows creasing as she began to grumble to herself, "Except...oh, and...and there's also..."
She took it back--a surprising amount of characters died in supposed family friendly films.

"The trust was there and then it was shattered," said Chance dramatically, but he couldn't hide the grin. "But yes, I totally thought Flynn was going to die the whole time, only to find out that I'd been suckered, the little s**t. Which was good."
He gave Eva a suspicious look.
"So, I should just like, not watch Disney movies?" Chance asked dryly.

Eva pressed her hands over her mouth, but she was unable to suppress either the giggles that leaked through her fingers or the mirth in her eyes. "Poor you," she nodded sympathetically, patting his shoulder, "But you know what this means, don't you? Next time you get to fool them! They did it to you, so you technically get a free pass."
She shrugged. "Just be cautious, I guess! ...But Lilo and Stitch, deeefinitely watch that. If you watch it and don't like it, I'll give you ten whole bucks." TEN BUCKS. Really though, who couldn't love Stitch?

"I'm not technically certain that it's capable trying to fool them, since I've only seen about three movies in my life," said Chance with a laugh. "But thanks for the advice, I'll have to keep it in mind. Maybe I can find another way to get back at him..."
He gave Eva thumbs up. "Okay. Lilo and Stitch. Gotcha. Thanks for the recommendation."

"I suggest jello down the back of their shirt or a fish down the front of their pants," she suggested solemnly, managing to keep a straight face for all of a few seconds before breaking out into giggles. It took her a moment to compose herself, but when she did, she was all smiles again.
"That being said, it's getting pretty late--er, later, isn't it? Maybe it's time to call it a night." She wasn't sure how much time had passed, but she was starting to feel the familiar and welcome heaviness of sleep staring to overtake her limbs. As much as she would have liked to sleep out here, she had a feeling that she'd regret it the next morning (especially if it happened to rain).

He snorted with laughter. "Excellent idea," said Chance grandly, turning to flash a grin at Eva. He stretched out his legs in front of him and then twisted his torso to work out some of the stiffness that had accrued since sitting in the same spot for a while.
"I think so," he said, and then stretched out his hand towards Eva, clearly for a high-five, not a handshake.
"It's been a delight talking to you, though."

"If you ever need some packs of jello, feel free to drop by my room," she winked, stretching her arms high up above her, "I bought a ton the last time I went shopping. Room 270!"
Grinning broadly, she slapped her hand against Chance's outstretched one. "Yeah, likewise! Didn't think I'd get company out here at this hour, but I'm glad that I did." Gathering up her now empty mug of coffee, Eva got to her feet and reached down to lightly ruffle the young man's hair.
"Hope to see you around! Have a nice night, and make sure to keep me up to date about your movie adventures." Eva waved with both hands--including the one that was clutching the mug--and offered him one last smile before turning and heading back to the dorms.
