He was busy laughing when Kani tackled him in return for his sudden playfulness. So they were both submerged for a second before he was able to react. Once he did however, Gael scooped the shaman up off her feet just as she proclaimed that she won. "Ah, and what type of gentleman would I be if I did not agree? You do indeed win, Kani." Moving in the direction of the shore he carried her with him. "And what does the beautiful lady want as a prize?" He expected her to say she wished for more shells, in which case he was ready to search all day if she wanted.

"For you to continue visiting me," she stated simply, wrapping her arms gently around his neck. She enjoyed Gael's company more than she'd expressed really, and she wanted to make sure he did know she wanted him to keep coming around. Smiling as he carried her along, she couldn't help but brush her fingers through his wet hair. She liked seeing it out of its tie. It looked nice and she could run her fingers through it freely.

What Kani said made him look down at her with a brow raised. "Is that all?" Gael chuckled then and nodded his head before he spoke again. "You wish is granted, beautiful." Once they were mostly out of the water he shifted so that Kani could stand on her own if she wished. "I'll be needing my hair tie back though." The young matori teased her with a wink. "Can't have me looking unkempt."

"Aw, but unkempt is such a nice look on you," she teased, ruffling his hair and brushing her fingers through it once again. "If you insist though I shall return it to you. Just give me a moment," she continued to say as she bent down to unwrap the tie from her skirt. Her skirt still clung against her legs because of the water, but at least it hadn't floated away while in the water. "Though if you're trying to look more put together you may want to put a shirt back on. Just saying."

Gael laughed as she made his hair even more of a mess and eventually ended up shaking his head at her. "I'll remember that." Knowing what Kani liked was surprisingly nice. As she mentioned him wearing a shirt, however, he grinned mischievously at her before he went to collect his discarded clothing. "Do you have enough shells or should I go out and start looking for more?" Gael wondered as he focused on slipping into his shirt.

She had enough shells for what she needed, but she really wasn't ready to go back just yet. With everything coming up she wouldn't have as many chances to hang out with him. It saddened her a bit, but it was inevitable with her shaman training. Soon she was sure he'd have his own training to get to as well, and then they'd have even less time. The joys of growing up. "I'm....not too sure. What do you think? Did you want to go back, or should we hunt for more?"

He noted the hesitation in her voice and looked down at the shells she had. Gael saw that there was enough there but he didn't want to make Kani sad by stating such. So instead he looked at the ocean before he gave a suggestion. "Well, the water felt nice enough but I think we can walk along the shore and find more shells." His orange eyes turned back toward her and he offered a kind smile. "If you wouldn't mind a walk with me that is.." Gael held his hand out for Kani to take and waited to see her decision.

"Well of course I'll walk with you, silly," Kani smiled, taking his outstretched hand in hers. She wondered what he planned on doing with those hands of his. If he was going to craft things or become a fighter of some sort. He seemed more of the fighting type, but she really hadn't asked him too much about it. She'd been talking about all of her dreams and training and hadn't even thought of his. What a selfish thing to do. "So..." she trailed off, swinging their arms as they continued on. "Have any exciting plans for the future?"

A brow arched as he heard Kani pose a question. So far she'd not shown a deep interest in his life choices, which hadn't bothered him, so it was a bit odd when asked about what he wanted to do. Gael chuckled before he glanced at her. "Well, right now I am arguing with my father about going into the family business." His free hand brushed through his hair as he pushed it back. "He wants me to become a metal smith and I'd like to become a fortress." His shoulders came up slightly. "That's usually why I avoid going home all the time."

"A fortress, huh?" she smiled, releasing his hand for a moment to reach up and lightly pinch his arm. "You'll have to work those arms of yours out a lot no matter which path you decide. I look forward to it." They'd have to spend more time apart with the both of them training, but in the end it would all work out. She couldn't get possessive over his time when he needed to do things with his life just as much as she did. She would just support him in any way she could and make sure he knew that. That's the best she could do at the moment. "If you need support talking to your father I could always go with you," she offered, unsure if that would even help or not.

When she pinched his arm he snorted and gave a smile. "I know. I'll have to bulk up quite a bit." And it was something he already planned on doing. There was no way he'd be much of a defense if he couldn't lift a shield. As Kani offered to go with him to confront his father he shook his head. "As much as I would love that, I think it's something I need to do on my own." He wanted to prove to his father that he was man enough to speak up without someone there to back him up. It was more a matter of pride than anything. "You might be able to help me workout though." His shoulders came up in a small shrug.

"Work out, huh? I could maybe do that," she nodded, sticking her fists up in an attempt to look threatening. "How is that? I can fight you or we can get physical or something. Or maybe I can help in some other way. Send magic after you and all that." She was willing to help in whatever way she could, but with not being a fighter it was a bit more difficult for her to work out with him. "Obviously you just need to use me to lift. That'll get you into shape if you have to carry me around," she joked.

Gael gave a blink as Kani put her dukes up and even smirked at her. "Cute." She could look tough if she wanted; kinda. But it was what she said last that made him laugh. It wasn't a bad idea! "Now you're on to something!" Without warning he picked her up and lifted her slightly into the air. He mocked the motion of lifting weights as he lowered her but then lifted her back up. "I might be able to build some muscle this way."

"Oh I am far too heavy for that! You're likely to hurt yourself more than anything," Kani giggled, sticking her tongue out at him as she braced his shoulders in an attempt to stay steady. "Really all joking aside, I thoroughly believe you will be a wonderful fortress. You have my full support, if it's worth really anything that is."

At the mention of her being too heavy he gave her a stern look. "You are not that heavy, Kani." Still, he lowered her back down to her feet. Now that he knew she was willing to help him it gave him an excuse to spend more time with her. "Well thank you and know that you have my support as well." It went without saying, but he wanted to say it anyways. ((Should we end it soon? ))
