The early morning text from someone he didn't actually know woke the very new Sun Hunter from a deep sleep and the fact that it was just some goddamned smiling thing only made him want to never meet the sender. Andy went back to sleep until the next text came through with it's goobledegook spattered around sensible English. The hell does 'nakama-tachi' even mean? Atsui? Cool drinks, must be 'hot'. The hell even? It's to early for this...Not being a morning person, it took Andy some time to get moving, with plenty of commentary from Rex. Mostly along the lines of 'Baaaaall???? Play! Rex play!!' on near endless repeat. Apparently his bonded was a morning person...er, weapon...dog...thing. Once as ready as he'd get, the blond made his way to the gathering place, cool drinks equipped (thank you Jordy) and looked around for one of the two or three faces he might find familiar. Spotting Peyton, he zeroed in on her and noted with some measure of surprise that there some not-very-fashionable scars visible. As a matter of fact, he'd barely heard the conversation going on around him...but hell, he'd catch up later or finagle it from Peyton or Jordan. Probably. "Hey...can I ask..." He said in low tones, "The <********> does 'nakama-tachi' even mean?" And where the ******** was his brother?

The question was answered with an elbow slung around Andy's shoulders. "Present and accounted for," Jordan said cheerfully.

"You cousin." Otto's usual greeting was delivered along with a flick of her hand that was probably meant to be a wave, but was really too lazy to count. Utterly casual, she doubted he'd mind. She also didn't actually expect him to head her way when there were others around he was more familiar with. They were friends, and they were family, but She knew there were others he was more comfortable with, and she didn't mind. Besides, it would seem the dainty Sun was going to have her hands full with fresh-faced trainees. Andy had found her in the crowd, which probably meant Jordan wasn't on the scene quite yet. "Hey, good morning." He looked tired, but that wasn't surprising. He was new enough still that he probably didn't have much of a schedule yet. Early mornings were sort of a constant on the island. He'd get used to them eventually. Or wouldn't, chaining himself to a coffee cup like half the island did to get through their days. "It's," she started, then paused when Jordan slid up and slung an arm around his brother's shoulder. "It's like family or friends." If he didn't know Nakama, he probably didn't know any of the other sun lingo. "Kokoro is heart. Sempai is like a mentor. Kouhai is a student. Uh...Am I missing any, Jordan?"

"Mm. Morning." Too. ********. Early. But the arm slung around his shoulders seemed to melt away some of his grump. Andy brightened, always, for his big (little) brother. "I see." But he didn't, really. Why the hell did the Sun Hunters use such weird, seemingly useless lingo? If they had military application he'd have understood better (thank you books, comics and games) but... kokoro? Ugh, this...wayyy too early for me to worry about this. "Do you guys really use that? Is there a purpose or...is this just a 'thing' that I'll have to get used to?"

"All right nakama-tachi! First order of business!" Allan did a sort of exaggerated fist pump, though really, this was the Sun lead, so everything was exaggerated, including damage. "Sun Hunter tomodachi have been given a very important job. We are responsible for training all other nakama to train and spar with runic weapons. While we rely strongly on our weapon aibou, sometimes they need to rest too and we should respect that!"
Well, it was more like, they were forcefully resting in emergency situations, but whatever Allan wanted, really.
"Because of this, I want each and every Sun Hunter to pick up their choice of a runic weapon and practice sparring! Only by training and believing in yourself can your kokoro grow!" He posed again, because the sunlight was shifting, and he wanted to make sure the lens flare was at a perfect angle against the grass fields.
The other Sun Hunter with the green hair was doing a sort of look that suggested he was both beautiful and also really wanted to say something. He was sort of giving Allan the pointedly notice me sempai look.
"Oh right!" the Sun lead remembered, and not because someone was trying really hard to be noticed, "we have a Runic weapons trainer!"
Said Sun Hunter didn't need any greater cue as he tore off his shirt to reveal his perfectly sculpted abs for all to enjoy. It was to be noted, that he was also wearing eyeliner, and it was beginning to melt in the sun. "Greetings, mortal peons of this world." Oh god, it was another one. "You may call me Giglamesh, gaze upon my beauty and wonder."
This long moment of silence.
"I, Giglamesh, have blessed upon you runic weapons, which you may use in simple, menial battles. They come with a safety switch, because I have been told mortals may sometimes hurt themselves. If your actions sparring pleases me, I will upgrade your runic weapon personally, the greatest gift I may bestow upon you." More posing. Was that Simon over there rolling his eyes?
Allan sort of just smiled, and then kept on smiling for a long time, in that sort of way that suggested perhaps he had let that drag a little too long. "So anyway," he suddenly changed topic, "one last big meeting thing before we get to the nakama projects. If you already have a specialization or you have a current project that you are working on, please raise your hand, and tell us what it is. If you are a full Sun Hunter and you wish to be a sempai even if you don't have a specialization, keep your hands raised too, and introduce yourself!" OOC SUN HUNTER AND RUNIC SPARRING:- Because this is a Sun Hunter meeting, Simon has already sent a long list of texts of japanese translation for the more bizarre Allan words. - If you have not posted yet no worries, you can still post from here! Just read this post above. It is assumed your Hunter made it a little late, but read the post above (the introduction post is just setup anyway). - If your Hunter is a FULL HUNTER or a Hunter with a GM approved specialization/ project, please mention it ICly! We will begin an updated IC buddy system to help pair newbie Hunters out with more veteran ones! - Sun Hunters may now engage in sparring with Runic Weapons with other Hunters! If they do so, they are using practice dummy runic weapons of their choice of daggers, net, gun, or torch. They are extremely safe, so no worries, and Fear shield as still in effect, just not deployed offensive @ using actual weapons. - If you complete two spars with anyone, you may automatically upgrade one of your standard Runic weapons to advanced/b] without having to do 10 rp points of content! Once again information on Runic weapons are here. In order to unlock the advanced you still need to do the Runic Weapons practical! This sparring mechanic is applicable only to Sun Hunters!

"Uh, ganbatte is an encouragement," Jordan put in. "You'll pick up on it. It's just Allan. Almost all of the division leaders are eccentric in one way or another. We've got the cheerful eccentric, at least." He stared at the new runic trainer, and suppressed the urge to eyebrow skeptically. Another one. When Allan called for specialists and full hunters to introduce themselves, he removed the casually slung arm from Andy's shoulder, and his posture changed subtly as he stood straight; when it was his turn, he said, "Jordan Miller. No formal specialization, but I assist with the new trainee orientation presentations and am happy to help with training."

Chance wordlessly held one of Nora's brownies out to Otto as he arrived and leaned over to Peyton.
"Does he always talk like this?" he whispered, gesturing at Allan and the green headed man.

Peyton had time to flash Andy another smile before Allan's arrival pretty much demanded everyone's attention. She listened pointedly, though as Chance murmured to her she'd lean towards him to hear better before nodding. "Oh yes, all the time." You got used to it. If possible, their new runic trainer was even more eccentric than their lead. It had the girl raising her brows in an impressed sort of way, and if his abs managed to catch her attention for a moment. Well. She was only human. And they were very nice abs. When prompted, Peyton's hand shot right up to indicate that she had a specialization. Or well, she'd been tasked with things to complete in order to gain said specialization. "Allan-Taichou! Last meeting I talked to you about going into a combat training specialization. Specifically close-combat and unarmed. You told me to continue my work training solo and with others and to finish all the training courses." She smiled brightly. "I've completed them, and have been working consistently to improve myself, and have made myself available for anyone that is in need of training." Her hand lowered. "I would also like to be a Sempai, though I think I may already be one. Cami has been my kouhai for nearly a year now." At this she'd turn to give the girl in question another little wave.

So...that's what all the gibberish he'd been texted had been for. Truth be told, Andy had taken one look at the weirdly constructed words and said "nope!" and closed it. Division leaders are eccentric...yeah, I'd say so. He was busy watching Allan and the new runic trainer skeptically..it was like some bad sci-fi movie, what with the costuming and chest-baring and weirdly superior speech. Anything he might have wanted to say died in his throat when Jordan got all Serious Hunter on him and spoke up. Okay, so Jordy was pretty cool like that..who wouldn't want to learn from his most awesome big brother? And then there was Peyton, who spoke up brightly and with full use of those weird phrases. Andy relaxed and rolled his shoulders a bit to ease the tension from not being a morning person - weird people or not, he was in pretty good hands.

"You guys new around here?"
That sounded like it was directed at him. Kyle looked around himself for a bit, smiling when he located Chance whom he assumed was directing the question to him and another girl who was seated not too far from him on the grass and playing her DS. "I suppose you could say that since I woke up a week before this..." He gestured towards the training field that was sporting a huge crater right in the middle of it. "... happened." He was still clueless as to what exactly happened other than the fact that he had slept right through it in spite of the alarms that had been blaring and all.
"I'm Kyle."
This... He simply gaped when Allan and the guy who introduced himself as Gilgamesh both took turns to address everyone present. Was that what he was supposed to become eventually too?
... Holy s**t.

It was true, they were very nice abs.
Chance's admiration of them was deterred by Peyton answering his question, however, and he gave a small snort of amused laughter.
"This is the first time I've even seen the Sun Division leads," he murmured back, eyebrows raising. His gaze swept over the men in front of them, Chance leaning back on his hands in the grass. "Something tells me I'm in for a wild ride."
He glanced over at Kyle and smiled. "Quite a time to wake up," said Chance with a laugh, his eyes following to where the other's were, to the giant crater in the center. "Right in the middle of a bunch of s**t, but, well, nothing like a good wake up call, right?"
A grin was on his lips as he added, "My name's Chance, by the way."

If it was possible, the Sun Division and it's candy coated kawaii desu ne flair had Otto feeling like a crabby old man. His brows laid flat across his eyes in a determined test of temperament and patience. The lead and his new buddy were giving him a headache. Otto did not want to be a senpai. He did not want to train newbies. He wanted to be left alone. He sighed, knowing he had to at least let Allan know how his specialization was going. "Hey.." He grumbled, his shoulders slumped, trying to look even smaller than he already was. Maybe no one would hear him if he was lucky. "I've been specializing in Survival Training. I've made a training course in the Canadian Wilderness so far.. It mainly focuses on finding food if you run out of MREs, how to avoid falling obstacles and navigating slippery terrain." He heaved another sigh, as if this whole endeavour were a one thousand pound globe on his back. "If at all possible, I'd like to opt out of bein' anybody's uh... senpai.." He grimaced. "It ain't.. my strongest um... ability. Rather, I ain't got that kinda patience."

Kimberly had put her game system away when the sun hunter leaders started speaking... and posing.. and... what the heck was wrong with them? She had to fight the urge to run up to the green haired guy and smack him in the back of the head... no wait that applied to Allen as well... both of them. She of course held back that urge and took a deep breath, turning her attention on anyone around. "Hey... Kimberly... just woke up.. like... days ago.. got attacked by zombies... infected. Yeah.. fun stuff. Can I kill something now?" Um.. okay not the best intro. She sighed and turned up her music a notch, starting I don't like Mondays by The Boomtown Rats. Theme...check.. Bored and angry look.. check. Sparring partner... Nope. "So.. who is going to teach me to kick a** and um.. I guess take names if I have time." A wicked little smile curled her lips as she thought about fighting. She just needed to know how to do it. kuuropii Cause he spoke close to her.. baby_gwing She needs to learn how to be a good group person.. hates groups though Zoobey Bad attitude... she hates posing for some reason. *shakes head* Denial likely

Ana watched it all with the stillness of a statue, and when it was all over, she did not introduce herself as others had. Instead, her introduction was her commentary concerning the spectacle she'd just witnessed.
"Is this some sort of test?" Test of patience, perhaps.

Cameron just helped himself to Nora's brownies, the one chance pass over to him.
There wasn't many sun hunters hanging out. Did the leader expect them all to pile on the nearest one?
