"It's hard not to be angry with everything that happened. I stay calm and that's all I can do. I do understand others being very angry though, and I never want to see another Oban ever again. I would rather Matori just completely separate from Oba so we don't have to deal with them," Kani stated, gladly taking the shell from him and brushing her finger over it. It calmed her down as she focused on it and allowed her to think clearly once more instead of getting angry. Anger didn't serve any purpose for her. She was better off just staying calm and distancing herself from everything so she could better take care of her family and her people if required to. Though she really would rather just keep away from most other than her father and brother.

"It's a great gift. Thank you, Gael," she chuckled, holding it up to her neck. "How does it look? Does it match better? Or should it go somewhere on my top?" Kani continued, settling it on the bust of her top. She could figure out a way to sew it on, or maybe she would fashion it into a necklace or bracelet. A bracelet would be pretty with the shell.

"That's not a bad idea. How about here?" Kani muttered, positioning the shell onto her hip where one of the sash parts of her skirt settled. "Or do you think that it would cause my skirt to fall some?" That would be a very inconvenient thing. She'd hate for that to happen, especially in front of him. It would be an awkward situation for all involved and she wouldn't ever be able to look at the person again if it did happen.

"Oh that would be amazing! Though you'd have to search for quite a few shells!" Kani exclaimed, her voice raising slightly in excitement. It was really the first time she had been excited about anything in who knew how long. For the most part her days were monotonous and she got no thrill out of anything. But the thought of that brought a rise out of her, if even just a small bit.

"Fine jewels? I'd never be able to afford such things. My fine jewels will just have to be seashells. I don't mind though. Seashells are pretty," she replied, continuing her own search for shells. Her brother would be quite disappointed if she didn't bring him something back. She'd really hate to make Arthanon sad in any way.

"There is no need to do that! I am just fine with no jewels," she spoke quickly, hoping the boy wasn't serious. "You keep saying third date. So you expect to see me again, hm?" Kani continued, wandering closer to him to see his expression. Why would he want to see more of her? She wasn't exactly sure what he saw in her that would warrant another visit, but she was sort of glad he had already decided he would come to see her again. It meant he at least thought a little highly of her.

"Well I don't know about every day, but if you come and see me again or visit more I'm sure you'll be there to let me know," she smiled, accepting the shells. They were getting quite a haul, and before too long she'd most definitely have enough for the belt. With Gael's help shell hunting had been quite easy. Usually it took her a lot longer to get enough shells for anything, but she was still amazed at how good he was at it.
