Setsuko remained behind Janus. Something about him seemed strange, it may just be her artistic eye noting that his movements contradicted his stance but there was something else. Setsuko didn't like this one bit, she was in a large public place and a stranger was talking to her. Any minute now she was likely to have a panic attack and the thought of one only made her more tense.
Gonicarlo looked around as if amazed by the size and the name. " I remember a camper mentioning something about a mall." gonicarlo said as he snapped his finger and turned giving the girls a closed eyed smile. " I am sorry, My name is Gonicarlo Stoneside, But you can call me stone for short" Gonicarlos tone was soft and inviting. Two beautiful girls had to attract demons he knew it and he was starving he wanted to feast on a demon. Gonicarlo thought to himself, he would try to be their friend.
"Well, cool! I take it you aren't from around here, though. I'm Janus, this is Setsuko, and we pretty much run this town." She giggled a little and nudged Setsuko again and rolled her shoulders. With a half turn of the head it was a pretty clears sign to sit up straight and not look like a frightened mouse.
"So, what brings a guy like you all the way out to the city, Mr. Camper?" The guy was seeming to warm up, so Janus responded to that positively. That awkward shyness just never sat well with her. ...But it was too fast. He looked like a cornered animal a second ago. This could get interesting--more that is.
Setsuko was really getting a bad vibe from this guy now. "Janus, I think we should go..." The tone this guy used was just like how Lilith had spoken to her, all sugar on the outside but cunning beneath. It was clear to her that he had some sort of motive. But then again did he? Maybe she was just being paranoid, could her agoraphobia be to blame?
Gonicarlo nodded " it is a pleasure to meet both of you. my father would have been upset if he knew i had talked without introducing myself first." Gonicarlo said with a half smile. as he looked at the girl who asked what brought him here. and he looked sad " Well.. you see... my father passed and he was all the family i had, So i didn't fit in in my village much anymore. I came to the big city to try and start fresh, but in four days you two are the first people to talk to me." Gonicarlo stared at the floor under his feet now almost embarrassed he had such a pathetic reason for being in the city

"Yeah, sure, likewise." What was this now? Janus didn't expect such a show, but this guy was really bent on selling this whole sob story. As much as it was a pain to say so, what with the age and all, Janus had seen the blueprints to the block in four thousand years. Even if the boy wasn't faking it, she still had a tight grip on her skepticism.
*sigh* Noobs. They just have no confidence! I guess this'll be a lesson for everyone today.
Ironically as Janus thought this a text came in from mom saying she was teaching at Kuoh today. Something else about her being a slut for skipping class, but that was the gist of it. She shook her head and put the device away as she gave a smile to Setsuko. "Nonsense! We'll just have to show Mr. Stoneside here how we do it in the city." She turned back to the young demon. "... If that's alright." Did you see it? The switch. Vintage Janus right there. After all, she was accustomed to... ( emotion_dealwithit ) Change.
"Mmmm..." Setsuko whined, she really wasn't happy with the situation and wanted to get back to Kuoh. But she couldn't go by herself it would be too scary alone.

It it said that the tail holds a personality of it's own, vicious and vindictive, it requires constant dotting and spoiling to keep it at bay. Legend tells Vritra made people squirm and screech their lifes out of their lungs to ease it's tail and lead it to a tranquil slumber.
The next day, the traumatized redhead would visit the mall to get some groceries for her home. On her way she drifted by the various apparels. Window shopping being one of her guilty pleasures.
Gonicarlo looked between the girls. " you two don't have to show me around, miss setsuko doesn't appear to want to. I just need some help first. Where is a place to get something to eat? I didn't see any fishing ponds around and I'm kinda hungry." Gonicarlo was being nice but he was nervous almost shy and his eyes revealed this.
Even though he had come to the girls he didn't wanna upset them. Gonicarlo had decided even though he wanted to feed on a demon these two human girls couldn't be used as bait. If they got hurt.... his eyes seemed almost sad at the thought of what would happen.

"Oh, no, it's nothing," said Janus giving off rays of reassurance. "We can't have you roaming around a big place like this all lost, now can we?" She turned to get up and start heading for the food court when she heard Setsuko whining more about the idea.
"Omg, look what he sent me!" She quickly showed the new Succubus her phone with words she'd typed. "Don't worry, he's in over his head. wink" It said, stating she was the more experienced demon here.
"Hey, look!" After the text Janus caught sight of Melanie, looking a little lost as well in the apparent delinquents' paradise. "Melanie!" She waved to grab the slightly older Succubs' attention. "Come on, we're going shopping!" She looked back and gave Gonicarlo a smile as if to say "this one's on the level too, frightened one." Immediately she hooked arms with Setsuko and skipped over to the redhead, whispering in her ear.
"That boy over there thinks you're cute, but he's shy. From the country or whatever. We're hooking you two up, no questions." Janus had left before Lilith zapped Melanie's memory last night, and since hadn't been told of it. A rare miss for the OG Orino trio, really. Looking back to the new boy Janus would wave "come on!" and wait for him to join up again before heading to the food court.
The idea was simple. For whatever reason Melanie was terrible at suppressing her demon aura compared to Janus and Setsuko; or maybe it was that she was bad at it compared to Janus and Setsuko had virtually nothing to suppress. Either way, Gon would have noticed the other two were devils by now. Since he didn't, and since Melanie seemed to be bubbling demon energy with her three pawns, it would only seem logical that the redhead would look like a big, juicy strawberry to the un-happy camper.
Now, how it is that Janus could see through this is actually quite simple. When a stray goes over to the cannibalistic side he starts to very quickly develop an aura, fowl, fetid, and just plain... Recognizable. Janus sensed it as soon as the youth got close enough to her. Demons like that are the bane of nightly patrolers like Xenovia and the once great Kiba Yuuto. She'd be doing them a favor, really, if she took him out. No, we aren't talking about the lunch at Tito's Pizza, but food had a little to do with it if you think about it. The idea was to bait the poor stray with Melanie and then, well, go to work.
Being dragged along yet again Setsuko was at least glad to see Melanie. The two were pretty much in the same boat when it came to being devils. She decided she would have to apologize for the kanji thing so walked up to Melanie rubbing her arm nervously. "Melanie, I'm sorry about what happened yesterday. I couldn't control myself and I didn't know what I was doing. I never meant for things to get so out of hand." Her words were very true and she blushed a little after saying them. Of course this could easily be taken out of context if you didn't remember what had happened.
Gonicarlo followed the girls slowly, he had a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach the more girls showed up, the more he would start to hunger and he hoped he was wrong, but he knew better this girls he had planned to use as bait, could they be the meal he was after. If so was it just one girl or maybe two? he hoped he didn't have to combat so many at once.
Gonicarlo put on a fake smile once more as he listened to Janus, This was going to well for his liking. Gonicarlo was being more careful now his ability to sense devil was usually pretty good. He was just glade his body naturally gave off a human aura, but just in case his gear had already started to wrap his body under his clothes.

Melanie kept looking through the store, wondering why most of the stuff weren't that expensive at the apparel, but they magically did once she got them to the counter. "What a scam..." She sighed, about to give up on the idea and head for the food. Then again she heard her name being called, and turned to meet with Janus, Setsuko and some other boy. "Hiiiii!! ~<3" She replied cheerfully. Waving with energy and a bright smile. Even the way she ran into them was more feminine than the tomboyish or seductive way she used to do. "What are you two doing here?" She asked, puzzled but happy to have them here. Later on she noticed the boy who was with them. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ignore you..." She added with a kind smile, taking his hand with hers and shaking it lightly. "Melanie... and you are?" She waited for the answer when she was suddenly boarded by Setsuko. With no actual memories but the fake ones about what happened yesterdad, Melanie's skin began turning red while her face was relatively the same. "No... no no no no nono onon ono don't tell me that I really..." Melanie froze holding the boy's hand. Before it started shivering, she was nervous. Letting go of his hand she faced Setsuko, waving both arms at her. "No no please, it was my fault I shouldn't had pushed you to do it... I don't know what happened to me. But I-I'll keep my promise..." This was so embarrassing.

"Oh, wow, it looks like you two had fun last night!~" Janus teased giving Melanie's cheek a good poking. She really didn't want this to turn out weird, not in front of the other guy though, so she quickly changed the subject.
"You guys, we're killing Gonicarlo! Let's go~!" She said yanking hopelessly on the redhead's arm. She could have dragged her, but she wanted to appear more human. That, and it was funny.
Eventually they'd find themselves with plates of greasy mall food in front of them. This was the kinda stuff that caused zits to appear days later on the faces of those who ate it and instantly on the skin it touched other than the lips.
... Mmm, lips. It would be hard for anyone to deny Melanie was growing into her succubody well. So was Setsuko too, in the way a rose is most beautiful just before blossoming. And Janus--well, come on. She was Janus. In theory if anyone knew what being a woman was all about it was that, having been born outside the restrictions of sex and gender to look at them objectively; and as it was for Lilith and Lamia, a job, to Janus sex appeal was a science. One she'd mastered ages ago.
"So, what're you doing outta school, A-student?" She asked Melanie playfully.
Setsuko blushed at the comment. But followed after Janus and Melanie. As they were eating Setsuko had stuck to a small portion of fries. She still had the bento she had prepared for lunch and didn't want to ruin her appetite.
