She just had to chip away at it. A devastating attack would only be repelled. Luckily, Kari's slender weapon was pretty good at landing light blows. Kari gasped when she managed to land a critical blow. Luckily, it was still within a reasonable amount so that the Harpy's special ability didn't activate. Even better, a small gold and black object came tumbling out from the blow. She would still have to be more careful. Giving a metered swing, Kari managed to slam the Harpy in the head, sending it sprawling into the ground where it fell silent. "I... did it?", Kari gasped in disbelief. "I actually did it!", she cried in joy, hugging her quarterstaff tightly to her chest in happiness. It had faithfully answered her call time and again, allowing her to defeat the enemy and help an ally. Kari had initially been surprised when another red knight tried to take a swing at the dead shadow, but Kari decided it was fine. Maybe they just had some pent-up aggression over the beast? Putting it out of her mind and jogging over to the white knight, Kari noticed to small, glinting pieces on the ground. Picking them up and putting them into her pouch, she crossed the rest of the distance and held out a hand with concern etched across her face. "Are you alright? I'm sorry about your friend over there", she asked, looking over to where the red knight had fallen. "My name is Kari, by the way."
