Introduction
Aten is a well composed man. It takes a lot to upset or anger him, and he is perpetually patient. He rarely ever reaches the point of 'the straw that broke the camels back', but on the rare occasion where it does happen, it usually has to do with his family (or Smolder's complete lack of responsibility) and their mistreatment. He has little patience for those who would impose on or upset the balance he has obtained. His family life is hectic, but Aten is basically super dad. He cooks, he cleans, he takes care of the taxes, picks the kids up from school, helps with their homework -- Aten does it all and never complains or asks why, all while his partners attend university and chase after their own careers.
Body.
★ Hair. Burnished brown with goldenrod streaks.
★ Eyes. Crystal blue.
★ Height. 6'3"
★ Build. Well-toned and fit.
★ Orientation. Pansexual
Schooling.
★ Year. Academy Graduate
★ Studied. N/A
Positive Traits.
★ Nurturing. Aten really gives his all when it comes to children. He is a provider and will do all he can to make sure the needs of his loved ones and children are met and well tended to. The supportive type, Aten rarely leaves anyone wanting for anything.
★ Family Oriented. His family comes before everything else. Everything.
★ Responsible. To say Aten is 'responsible' is a little bit of an under statement.
★ Even-tempered. Aten is a very logical thinker. He rarely ever gets in to arguments or conflicts because he can rationalize just about anything. Even if he doesn't agree, that doesn't mean he has to get upset about a difference of opinion.
Negative Traits.
★ Single Minded. Once Aten focuses on something, that's it. There is little anyone can do to change his focus. A prime example is how Aten puts all his time and effort in to his kids, and rarely ever anything else.
★ Judgmental. Aten will very much judge a person based on their actions, and once those judgement are made, it's hard to go back from them.
★ Internalizing. If Aten has a problem he doesn't talk about it. He would rather let it fester than let anyone know that he's upset or hurting. Cassie is usually the only one who picks up on his subtle hints and moods, and also the only one able to get him to talk about his issues. Provided nobody else is around to overhear their conversation.
Enjoys.
Aten has a deep love for tea. He knows quite a bit about the different kind of teas out there, and considers himself a bit of a tea hoarder. His shelf is always well stocked with every kind of tea you can think of: he tends to prefer greens and oolongs, but occasionally partakes in a herbal dessert tea.
Outside of family matters, Aten has few friends. He has taken up wine tasting, but usually this is done on his own. His children and his family have very much become his life, and Aten is bent towards providing for them and servicing them.
One day he does hope to go back to school and become a caretaker for the Academy.
History.
Like many others, Aten was a cache baby. He grew up an orphan, and when he was old enough was placed at the Academy to learn the proper coping skills to get through life.

Room
Aten's personal bedroom looks just like his room back at the Academy, though a bit smaller. His room still has a touch of his old, forced feminine side. In truth, he just really has a thing for that canopy. Filled with pillows and good tea, this equally orange bedroom makes the Imp blend right in. If it weren't for his tiger stripes and the occasional quiet slurps, it'd be pretty hard to spot the man in his quarters.

Relationships
Aten is fairly easy to get along with, however, if you leave Aten with a negative impression of you, you'll likely never recover from it. He won't chastise you or call you out, nor will he avoid you, and will remain civil but will not go out of his way to do anything for you. He has too much to worry about with his ever growing family to worry about the things that do not matter, and the affairs of those who do not take their actions and responsibilities seriously fall in to that category of things he doesn't have time for. That being said, Aten is a steadfast and true friend who is loyal far beyond what he at time should be. He is the type of person to be there when you need them, and to always lend an ear and a shoulder if needed.

 Smolder. One of Aten's partners. While Smolder doesn't love Aten, and despite how much the Imp can get frustrated with Smolder's lack of responsibility and drive, Aten loves him very deeply and craves a deeper connection with him.
Cassie. One of Aten's partners. Cassie is the only one who is romantic with Aten. The two get along quite well, and the two are rather touchy-feely with one another. While they may not have the same sex life as Smolder and Cassie do, Cassie tends to show Aten more affection on a regular basis.
Rhys. Smolder's son, and by proximity, Aten raised Rhys just as if he were his own. The kids is a little ... out there, and unfortunately takes after his father. Rhys has given Aten many heart attacks over the years.
Raa. One of Aten's first blood children. Raa is quite a daddy's boy, but he plays well with all the others kids. It makes him really happy to know that his kids didn't turn out as crazy as Rhys.
Anubis. Aten's quieter child. Aten, of course, loves him dearly. Smolder is often forgetting Anubis even exists and loses him all the time, which brings out Aten's protective side over Anubis.
Malikah. Malikah and Cassie seem fairly close. Aten is rather proud of Malikah's pink tiger stripes.
 Osiris. Aten's best friend. The two are super dads together and get along quite swimmingly. Osiris offers rather stimulating conversation that Aten finds himself craving.
 Lyra. Aten met Lyra once at a festival when they were little, alongside Cael. She now teachers his kids at the academy.
Cael. Cael and Aten never really talked, though he met him with Lyra at a festival when they were freshlings. He only remembers them because he knows Lyra and Cael are an item.
Burvia. Aten and Burvia hung out a little when they were freshlings. They were both eccentric and manic, so the two got along fairly well. But then Burvia grew up before Aten was even close, having been a few years younger than her, and off Burvia went and lived her life. The two still talk while waiting for the kids at the academy sometime, but not often.
Galan. Aten first spoke to Galan when Rhys requested he be taken to Galan's dorm to have his picture painted. After visiting, Aten found Rhys' new Big Brother to be a rather respectable young man, and while he does not know him well, he approves of the boy.

★ Full House. Aten, Smolder, Cassie, Rhys & Galan. The whole family goes to visit Rhys' Big Sibling, Galan, and get their portraits painted.

Aten's Goals.

★ See his kids go off to college. A simple wish, one hopefully to be fulfilled. He just wants to see his kids grow up, be happy, and pursue their dreams.
★ Go back to school. Once the kids have moved out, Aten wants to go back to school and take the classes required to become a caretaker.
★ Get hired at the Academy as a caretaker. Nothing makes Aten happier than being there for those who otherwise have no one. He is all about building connections, and being a caretaker for children who otherwise have no family is something he sees as the ultimate position to aspire to.
