Letting his mother take photos as she pleased, Caesar's couldn't help but kiss Yvette back for a few moments. He didn't think he could feel any happier, that this day would always be the best of his life. He had two beautiful children with the one woman in the world that could ever hold his heart. It was only when his brothers and father came bustling in the room that he tore his gaze away from his wife. Still, he would remain beside her as his family admired the new babies.
When Lucy returned with the Elvish Prince Elendil, Caesar hadn't expected such a kind gift. He realized just how important this moment must be, to solidify a kind of alliance with another people. Of course, his wife had known the elf for many years, but to give these gifts to their children was very kind. "Thank you." he told Elendil in English, his expression showing just how happy he was.
Sucking in a breath of air to keep from screaming, Eileen had to take a few seconds of silence to keep herself composed. Queens did not lose their tempers. At least not in front of those that acted as irritation. Seth had always acted as a king, she would not disgrace him by failing as his queen. Still, she could just feel her fury rising, and if one were paying attention, there was no mistaking the glare emitting from her face. How dare this nobody witch be allowed to have her claws sunken so deep into the seat of the throne. It was sickening. Yvette was illegitimate, not even a full siren. Of course, even Eileen could not fault her for who were parents were, but it was just so annoying that Seth had agreed to let her be his heiress when he had two legitimate children, one of whom was a boy. Yet, she knew it was not her place to argue the choice. When war had come to their nation, Eileen had sided with her husband and king; if only Tabitha had not needed to rub her face in it all.
Seth, who was as oblivious as ever to the tension between his wife and ex continued to keep a hand on Nathan's shoulder, who looked just as curious about the answer to Tabitha's question. "He will be the second of his name." Seth explained, a smile on his face as he held his son's hand to walk down the hallway. "I can't wait for the welcoming dinner." he added excitedly, chattering on as the group went to return to the Yvette. "I'm sure my sisters and nieces will come to visit."
Lucy watched as Elendil spoke to her sister and the children, a warm smile on her face as she recognized what he had said in elvish. It was such a kind gesture that she planned to thank him heartily for it later. Finding Caesar's mother, she took a turn at handling the camera, allowing the older woman to be apart of more pictures rather than stuck behind them.

Yvette smiled as she was surrounded by Valdez side of her family. Elendil was the only one who could seem to part the see of family. As he pinned the brooches to her child she gave a thank you in his tongue. She noted that her parents had finally came back and Elendil retreated back to Lucy. "Nathan come here." Yvette called out to her brother. She wanted the little boy to meet his niece and nephew. Tabby smiled and stayed in the back with Seth and his wife. "Number two huh? Well I'm sure he'll make as as good of a king like his great-grandpa and grandpa." The woman responded with a grin and one last stab at Eileen."

Lucy couldn't help but give Elendil a small smile when he returned to her side, her voice soft as she thanked him for his gift to her family. As she continued to chat with the elvish prince, Nathan got past the crowd of people to reach the side of Yvette's bed. "Hola Yvette." he told her, clearly unsure of what would be an appropriate thing to say. It was a few moments before he spoke again, but his demeanor was much warmer now. "Hola Isabel, Hola Christian." He smiled at the two babies, still snuggled in their parent's arms, until a flash went off in the corner of his eye, causing him to look back at Lucy. She laughed, which made him laugh, easing away any leftover awkwardness.
Seth noted that Nathan seemed comfortable, so he returned his attention to Tabitha as she spoke. "Wait. You just admitted I'm a good king." he commented, sticking his tongue out at her teasingly. He'd become king decades ago, but Tabby had never once said that he was good at his job. In fact, she had pretty much said the opposite whenever the subject came up. He partook in his own laughter for a moment, before adding, "I believe you're right though. Yvette will care for their education, I'm sure." {ooc: n/a}

Yvette smiled as Lucy took the picture. She was much better of interacting with their brother than the crown princess was. The woman scoped her brother up and put him next to her. "This is your niece Isabel." The woman commented as she gently moved the boys arms and allowed him to hold her. The little girl was fast asleep. She figured that she needed to mend the relationship between her and her brother. He didn't deserve to be put aside just because he was in theory her enemy. It was then an idea popped in her head. " Hey I want to get a picture with dad, Nathan, and Christian together." She told her husband and sister. The woman lifted the girl out of her brother's hands. "You did a good job." She told him with a grin. Freeing him from one child to the next. Yvette, though still weak, gave the girl to her Grandma Valdez to be loved to death while her husband took care of Christian. She would have to take a picture with her mother and daughter next. ~~~~~~~~ Elendil smiled at his lover. "It was nothing, but a token of friendship. If the prince and princess should visit with your I'm sure our future in diplomacy will be bright." He told the girl with a smile. ~~~~~~~~~~ Tabby looked at the king. He was like an excited kid that had heard some really good news. "You're good at politics, not much else. You have a terrible taste in women." She responded, pulling him back down to earth as their daughter got closer to them. Yvette smile. It was painful to walk, but she did. "Dad may have poor choice in women, but you also let your dreams slip by not having more children like you wanted to." The woman came to her father's defense. Tabby frowned. "I have some eggs locked away and I'm sure that I could have one more." She announced to her daughter. "I just don't have anyone who I like and is willing to be the donor. With the exception of Haiki, but that's a different story."

Nathan was surprised when Yvette picked him up, but he didn't complain. In fact, he smiled, accepting the opportunity to hold his baby niece in his arms, with help from his half sister of course. When Yvette spoke again, he looked up, nodding in agreement to the idea. A picture of the men in the family made him feel more grown up. When Yvette moved to stand after handing Isabel off to her grandmother, Nathan jumped up as well. "Let me help you!" he insisted, offering his arm to the princess even though he was much shorter. As they approached his father, he heard just the tail end of the conversation, to which Yvette responded.
"Yeah!-" Seth began, accepting Yvette's defense before realizing the insult that came with it. Luckily for everyone involved, Eileen was speaking with Caesar, and he was almost certain she hadn't heard. If she had, he knew she'd say something later about it. "Haiki's genes are pretty amazing...but I think you should call up Camerion Sol." said Seth, his expression immediately portraying just how much of a fanboy he still was for the red headed band member.
Lucy was taking advantage of her family's distraction to stand just a little bit closer to Elendil. Really, no siren would find the distance intimidating, but after spending so much time with the elf she couldn't help but pick up a few of his habits. "I hope that I can offer a proper gift for your sister when her child is born."

"Thank you Nathan." She told her younger brother as he helped her move around. Then her dad said something forbidden. Her mother snapped. "Why would I do that. He's an over-possessive p***k." The pink haired woman snapped before walking out. She was fuming. Yvette got a little closer. Her mother had already caused a scene and she didn't need to add to it. "Dad, they broke up years ago. I think the fight was over you too. From what I gather, Cam started to questions mom's feelings for you and dumped her pretty hard. I even had scream loud and cry for her to come out." The girl told her father. ~~~~~~~~~~~ "My sister would be honored. She's due soon and the baby may come a little early, you can spend the nights in my palace and make visits to your sister during the day." The prince offered her a week or two in his kingdom. Elendil's head turned only as Tabby yelled in frustration. His ears were sharp and he could here the following message from Yvette. "It seems the years have not been kind to her." He told his lover.

Seth was honestly surprised by the anger in Tabitha's voice. Sure, he knew that the two had split up, but he had never been told why. The siren had just assumed that Cam's long tours and Tabby's busy schedule had caused them to drift apart. Since he'd never heard of any venom between the two all those years ago, he hadn't imagined the breakup to be a messy one. "How could he-" The king sounded so confused, the shock of the suggestion that Camrion Sol, of all people, could have dumped her seemed crazy. "-but they were so cute." he insisted sadly, giving in to the fact that Yvette would probably never speak with the redhead again. Sighing, his expression grew slightly more serious as he told his daughter, "We need to set your mom up with someone." Despite the complicated past between himself and Tabby, Seth knew that she deserved a happy life. If what Yvette said was true, then it was his fault that Tabitha was single.
Caesar, who'd noticed Tabby's exit, left his spot in the middle of his family to join Yvette. He gave a grin to Nathan, thanking him for being so strong before wrapping one of his arms around his wife, pulling her close to his side so that she could lean on him inconspicuously. He still had Christian in his other arm, but Seth quickly took his turn holding the child. "Nathan, stand beside your father for the photo." he suggested, trying to lighten the mood by getting the shot Yvette wanted. Seth knelt beside his son, letting Nathan 'help' support the baby as they both smiled into the camera pointed on them by Caesar's mom.
Lucianna looked to Elendil, her expression bright as she heard his offer. "I would be happy to visit. After all, it's my turn to play diplomat." Eventually, she would need to return to Janhall, but while the town continued to remain a dull and boring place, she was eager to see new sights. Tabby's shout caught her attention, making her spin around to see what the commotion was. Her brow raised as she watched the older woman storm out of the room, returning her gaze to Elendil as he spoke again. Lucy gave a small shrug, unsure of what to say when her opinion of Tabitha was so nonchalant. "I can't really blame her. My father did some serious damage when he was younger...Still, I don't know what to think. Yvette is my sister but...Tabitha is not my mother. She's against my family yet bonded to us. It's very strange.

"Dad don't. That would make things worst." The woman responded. "Leave her alone or I'll defame in public." Yvette avoided doing it directly in the past. She would instead do it under the guise of 'stupid traditions'. She was serious, but she allowed the picture to be taken before she said anymore. "No more meddling in mom's relationship." She told him like he was a child. ~~~~~~~~~~~ "I will visit when I can." He promised her. He had his own princely duties to attend to. As their attention and topic turned to the model, Elendil thought of something that Lily had shown him. The man stepped behind Lucy and covered her eyes. "I think you should look at her more positively. Yvette is part of her and part of her is Yvette." He told her. He didn't like negativity in the air, hanging like a poisonous cloud. "What color is my hair? You can't see right? Will you say blond or do you think I took a potion that changed my hair?" He asked her, but never letting his hands down. "How then would you know Miss Tabitha's heart if you don't ask to see it?" He questioned her. It was only then that he dropped his hands and smiled at her. "You may find that there is more in common with the two of you then you thought." He told her with a smile. "Why not start now. You can go and comfort her. I'm sure she wouldn't push you away fiercely. Remember she'll try to push you away, but you're the only one who can go away."

It took a moment of consideration, but eventually Seth agreed to do as his daughter said. "Fine, Vetty." He stood up from the kneeling position, his arms still cradling Christian as he added, "I won't meddle..."
Lucy smiled at Elendil, wondering just how it would be like to see him in his own home. She could probably learn so much about his culture during such a long visit...His next words brought her attention back around to Tabitha, causing her expression to shift to something less interested, at least until Elendil placed his hands over her eyes. She leaned against him slightly, using the pretense that she didn't want to lose her balance just in case anybody looked over at the pair. Still, she did her best to listen to him speak, not allowing herself to get distracted while he was being so serious. "You're always so philosophical." she commented once he had released her. What could I have in common with her? Everything about us is different...Education, friends, jobs, parents-...my parents...Her and my father?...Like me and Elendil? Was this what the prince at her side was referring to...The only way they knew their relationship would end? Finally, Lucy gave a small nod of agreement to the idea. "I'll...try to talk to her. But I can't promise she'll talk to me." she pointed out before turning to leave the room.
Once in the hallway, Lucianna managed to spot Tabitha easily enough. But once she approached the woman, the siren realized she didn't have a thought as to what to say. Resisting the urge to just run back into the room, she said the first thing that popped into her head. "I've always wanted to have pink hair."

angelmage99 Yvette was glad her dad was not going to bother with her mom for once. She knew her mom and she always preferred to not talk about her trouble with anyone that would be involved. The woman finally kidnapped her son back. "Hey Nathan, you'll help Christian to grow up to be a good king right?" She asked her little brother. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Elendil watched his lover leave and took the time to move against the wall and remained unseen save for those eyes who moved around to notice him. He otherwise stayed quiet as he waited for her to come back. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Tabby had gone some distance away. She was far enough that no one would hear her crying unless they went down the right halls. She had thrown a locket across the hallway. It was pretty and simple, but inside was a picture of a younger witch with her siren boyfriend on the other side was a smiling baby girl. Tabby hadn't noticed the princess until she spoke up. "Did your father ask you to come with his stupid idea of finding me a boyfriend. Tell him to take off his shoe and eat it. I've been done with his BS the moment he left me alone and pregnant."

Nathan looked to Yvette with curiosity as she spoke. He nodded, but it was clear that he had a question he really wanted to know the answer to. It wasn't until Seth noticed the look in the boy's eye and asked what he was wondering that he finally asked, "What if Isabel wants to be Queen? She can do that, right? She can be like you and maybe Christian will be like me." The tone in Nathan's voice when he pointed out the possible similarity between himself and his nephew was simple, as if he wasn't really concerned with how it would all play out; it was just that he wanted affirmation that Yvette would not be the only female to ever take the throne.
Eileen, had finished her talk with Caesar's father and returned to her family just in time to hear her son's question. She took the arm of her husband, an interested expression on her face as she waited for an answer from the princess. It was clear what the answer would be, but for some reason, Eileen knew that she would not be happy to hear it.Tabitha was been right all along, with her jabs and comments...Her blood would not sit on the Siren Throne.
Lucy took a few more steps toward Tabitha, a small laugh coming from her mouth as she admitted, "Actually, he was shot down before he could come up with a suitor." As she got closer, her expression grew more serious, her tone sobering as she noticed that Tabby's eyes were slightly puffy, like she had been crying. Despite what she had said, the witch had clearly never been 'done with his bs'; it seemed like she'd been carrying it for years. "Yvette has taught me so much. I can never repay her for being the sister she is. Everything I know about life, I learned from her. Except for love. I don't think she taught me about love. I think my idea of love differs from her's...I think...that maybe....maybe, you and I think of love in the same way." She took a paused, her hands at her sides as she realized something terrible. Lucianna hadn't wanted to admit it. Not to Elendil, not to Yvette, and especially not to herself. But here she stood, talking to a woman she hardly knew, forced to finally face the fact that she was in love with Elendil.

Yvette smiled. She didn't know if the people would allow a second queen, but if they did then they would have to be ready. "Well if Isabelle wants to then she can. You'll just have to make sure both of them are ready then." She answered her brother with a smile. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tabby was surprised. Lucy and her were alike more than she and her own mother. The woman raised her head and looked at the wall. "I went to school with his sister." She commented. Both Yvette and Tabby could tell when someone was a fool in love. "Her father was my mentor and he would go on and on about elves. They don't normally take wives of other groups and it's taboo for someone in the royal line to do so," She commented then smile. "but they at least are willing to parade their mistresses around. They don't hid them and their children are recognized as theirs."The woman reached out and grabbed the locket before putting it in Lucy's hands . "Your father never did that for me. Did you know that Yvette was two before he even saw her face. I didn't want to let him in and lose my daughter as well. I was more okay with her cousin then I was him. They never seemed to want to steal her from me, but love her." The woman let out a snort. "Yvette is the only family I have. I was kicked out of my home for good when they found out I was pregnant and called both of us monsters. Now I have Isabel and Christian, and in a way her husband as well. I fear though that I will die way before my little girl. I don't have enhanced abilities to slow my aging. That's okay a theory." "Seth had all the power over me. My heart still beats for him and he has been the reason for all my failed relations. The reason Cam broke up with me is because I kissed your father. It was after you were born as well. It was just an innocent kiss and my heart was in the hopes to just end it all. Cam was so jealous and told me my heart wasn't on him and dumped me. At least I can say I won with Yvette. She'll be the one on the throne like she should. She is the eldest and she was born of true love."The woman turned her head and looked at the girl before tucking one of Lucy's loose hair behind her head. "No offense of course. I never hated you, but at the same time Nathan and you are Yvette's rivals as your mother is mine. I just wished your father would open his own eyes and noticed that he's being hurt by this whole thing too. Oh well at least I die knowing Yvette is happy."

Nathan smiled back at Yvette, his expression lighter as he insisted, "I can teach them tons of stuff." He even beckoned for her to lean down, so that he could whisper in her ear, "I know where all the secret rooms are for hide and seek." It was clear that his priorities still revolved around having fun rather than academia.
Lucianna listened as Tabby spoke, her expression betraying only the slightest hint of surprise as the woman guessed exactly who she was referring to. She hadn't known that Tabitha had gone to school the same time as Elendil's sister. However she did know many stories about the infamous Len, so it wasn't really surprising that he would pass on as much knowledge about his daughter's people as he could.
When the locket was placed into her hands, Lucy looked down, eyeing the picture inside. His father, much younger but looking only slightly different, the pink haired witch who held a baby Yvette. Lucy couldn't help but smile, wondering how things could have changed so drastically. Of course, she knew the answer; it was the same answer Elendil would give her some day...and hopefully, she would be ready when the time came.
It had not actually occurred to her that Tabitha would die many years before any of the royal family. In the back of her mind she knew that this woman was only human, but it still seemed like she would grow old right alongside with the rest of the adults in her life. The idea made her eyes water, but she continued to listen to the woman's explanations of the past. This man, Cam, was someone Lucy had never met, but she knew vague information about him. It was so strange to hear that her father and Tabby had shared a kiss when both were in a relationship at the time; she wondered idly if Seth had told her mother. She supposed it didn't matter now, not after so many years. Yet something that hadn't changed her father's life had clearly ripped another hole in Tabby's. The whole thing was obviously unfair.
"We will never rival Yvette. She will be Queen." It was a promise, one that she knew would be kept true. Nathan may be the only real threat to Yvette's claim, but he would never try to take it. Not their sweet little brother; and Lucy knew that she would never have a claim anyway, not that she had ever wanted to rule the people.
It was curious how Tabby had mentioned Seth being hurt by it all. Lucy knew that she agreed, realizing that he had probably given up true love when he was only fifteen. Not that Lucy felt her parents didn't love each other, but it was a different kind of love. A love based more on understanding and sense rather than a crazy feeling of reckless abandon. "Don't let yourself think you're too old to live." insisted Lucy, a small smile on her face as she added, "You do so much for everybody around you. You've reached fame as a model. You'll always be Yvette's greatest adviser and only mother."

Yvette smiled. and leaned over to hear what her brother had to say. When he talked about hiding spots the woman giggled. "That's a good idea." She told Nathan. "Can you show me when I feel a little better?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tabby had known that Lucy didn't want the throne. Yvette had told her, but she still wasn't too sure about Nathan. He was still young and there was always a chance that he would change his mind. The witch calmly turned to the siren. She didn't know what she knew. "I haven't told Yvette this yet, but I have cancer." She told the girl. "It's not a small lump and it could be stage 3 or 4. I'll be having a surgery next week to find out. I'll tell her after things calm down a bit." The model told the person who was the closest she had to a second child. "There is a chance I will never see my daughter as queen or the twins turn five."

Nathan grinned, nodding in excitement as he answered back quietly, "Of course!" He would have to be patient until his sister was well, but it was something the prince would really be looking forward to.
Lucianna had expected Tabby to say anything but what came out of her mouth. It was a shock, and the siren couldn't keep the surprise off of her face. "You will." she said quietly, not sure at all but feigning confidence. Tabitha had to live longer; it was already unfair that she would die much longer before Seth would, but it was another thing entirely for her human life to be cut even shorter. "My father can find a song, I'm sure. Or the surgery will get it all...maybe you should let our doctors do it, too, or-" she cut off, already out of options. But one would have to work; Tabby deserved to see her grandchildren grow up.
