Little hornets, a pack of sharks, a disturbed grizzly bear. The only thing that kept his composure was the thought of treasure, as he had no qualms about going off in front of his crew. He wasn't precisely known for being sane.
Perhaps if it continued, he'd tie a cannonball to Kale and throw him off...
That thought warmed his heart. At her touch, his steel blue eyes flicked to the side. His sword still raised overhead to end a bushes life. It was a lucky day for said plant though, as he slowly lowered it. "Blimey! It is! Avast maties, we've found the entrance!" Good catch on the shetani's part. But he was entirely too peeved to give her any compliments. The male instead turned to the right to walk over to the large boulder."Uh....uh sir? That be a rock. Where's the temple?"That barnicle brained...least he was a decent shot with a pistol or he'd have no use for him. "I told ye son of a biscuit, it's an UNDERGROUND temple! We got to move the boulder."

And there was no reaction to her hand on his shoulder. Yeah, there was some serious damage control to be done Well, if Darias wanted to be miffed off, then that would be up to him; she'd deal with this once he'd cooled down.
Damn that was a large boulder. "So... I'm assuming we're digging it out..." Digging she could do. Moving a boulder 6 times her size with brute strength, she could not.

"In a ways. We do this, with science!" He exclaimed while looking towards the crew. "Jimmy! Ye got that plank? We'll be digging a hole under the rock, and stick that it." 'Leverage' or what that was called. Most pae thought pirates as pea-brained monkey's with swords. But sailing required knowledge of astronomy, math, and...other smart topics. Just because they didn't know the fancy words for them, didn't mean they didn't know how to use it.

"Hm, I'll admit underestimation.... Leverage is a very logical answer." She walked over to the crew mate who was carrying the shovels and took one from him, giving him a grin. Resting the shovel on her shoulder, she made her way to where they were to dig out the hole and got to work.

Meanwhile as the crew got their shovels, he leaned against a tree to let them work. He sheathed his sword and picked up his map, doing a quick look over.It was Jacks turn again. He was quick to arrange the men -and Andromeda- where to dig, and gave the call when it was deep enough to jam the plank in. He called the strongest men forward, himself included, and they all pushed down with powerful, sweaty grunts. The rock slowly budged, and the rest of the crew ran in to help push the rock to the side. Revealing a dark, rectangular opening lined with gray stone. Stairs led down into the black abyss. "We got it sir!"

Andromeda nearly fell into the hole when the boulder moved, as it rolled faster with the built up momentum. Her wings flared out and flapped backwards to catch her balance and keep her from falling down the stairs and into the dark unknown.
She could smell the stale, musty air coming out from the opening, and she took a few more steps back, waiting for orders on going in. She looked to Darias, wondering if he was going to pair her with Black Jack instead of himself now.

He had used the time to ease his anger, deciding to place it aside until after the pillaging. When Black Jack called for him, he pushed off and walked over, his steps much better now after the time on land. "Ready the lamps! Same filing as before. Keep yer eyes peeled, as the tribesman warned of traps." Same filing as before. So him and Andromeda in front. He grabbed a lamp from one of the crew members before looking at the shetani. "Ready lass?"Same filing? He looked over at the bright eyed Kale. Seriously?

Same filing, so she was going to be going in with Darias. "Aye Cap'n." She responded with a smile, stepping up to meet him at the entrance and walk in with him. She wasn't going to deny that she was nervous, but this was all to exciting as well. She walked into the dark, and immediately placed a hand on Darias to not lose him in the inky black. Her eyes were taking a while to adjust to the dark, causing her to be blinded by the lack of light.
"Sorry, cap'n, my eyes are still adjusting..."

As they stepped down into the pitch black, he hooked his...hook onto the lantern and used his hand to start it. But before it sputtered to life, he felt her hand on his arm.
Hmm...Perhaps he should keep the light off a bit longer...
Pae started walking down behind them, their own lanterns causing a flickering light and ruining it. Ah well. He flicked the switch, which caused a spark and ignited the wick inside. "No worries. Ye can use my arm, as there be no handrails." Seemed like good ol' pervy Darias was back.

As the different lanterns flicked themselves to life, her eyes began to adjust more easily. A small smile spread over her face as she gave Darias' arm a gentle squeeze at his statement. "Now now, that's a great way to start more rumors on the ship. And remember what happened last time?" She gave his arm one more squeeze before letting go, her fingers trailing a little before leaving.
The group walked a bit more down the hall, and skeletal remains occasionally came into view as victims of older traps sprung. It was a morbid reminder to Andromeda about how easily one could get killed.

He didn't right care about rumors. He just wanted her in his bed...oh such a tease! He squinted in the faint light, making his way down until the stairs ended into a long hall. Empty gaping holes dappled the sides in the flickering light, no doubt leading to other rooms. This first part was ripped clean of its riches, long since found. But there was never really much in the very opening anyway, which was the easiest accessible place. Though traps already. Skellingtons slumped over with arrows, some next to spikes, one was a few feet from his severed leg that was clamped in the floor. No doubt cut it off in attempt to survive, only to bleed out. "Easy men. Don't touch anytin that's differnt. It'll be a one way trip to Davy Jones. Follow the steps of the pae in front, but keep several paces back to avoid gettin snared in the same trap." With that, he started to move forward. Gently stepping over left over pae remains, oddly shaped stones, and even a tripwire.

Andromeda grimaced as she saw the horrible death around. She didn't have to be warned twice to not touch anything, and she kept her wings tucked tightly against her back and her tail wrapped around her waist and out of the way. While she kept one eye on the floor below her, she was also looking at the walls in search of any blatant traps. It was mildly disappointing that there wasn't anything here other than corpses, as she was hoping for her first glimpse at real treasure, but this was still relatively exciting.
A hint of movement caught her eye, and she turned to see a serpent sliding itself through the rib cage of some poor soul. If there were living things in here, did that mean there were fresher corpses? Animals had to eat something...

So they carefully picked his way through until they reached the first gaping doorway on the right. He motioned forward, readied himself and took a step forward.
Then there was a click, and his foot slightly sunk. Curses.

The click seemed to echo around, and her head snapped immediately to Darias' face. The look on him told her all she needed to know, that it was him who had set off the trap. She didn't even think, just reacted, and her wings exploded outwards as she launched herself at him, with enough strength to knock them both forwards about a yard. Her arms wrapped tightly around him, and her wings curled fully around him as she used her body to shield him from any projectiles.
She squeezed her eyes tight, waiting for pain to pierce through her from the trap.

It happened so fast. Without knowing what direction the trap would spring from, his first thought was to curl into a defensive ball. But it seemed like the instant the trap clicked into place, a powerful force slammed against him. He whirled forward, hearing soft blasts as arrows were shot across the room. His crews calls for him bounced off the walls. They slammed into the ground. Click. Another trap sprung. His mind focused in that instant to recognize the body wrapped tightly around him. "Andro, no!" He yelled, legitimate worry laced in his outcry. Then the ground fell away beneath them. Twenty to thirty feet they fell, into something surprisingly soft. And warm.
