"I suppose there's that..." though looking around he didn't know just how good this place would look on applications. He didn't realize it was a well known frat. It looked like living chaos here. He went along with, sticking close to the Leafeon as they walked a little surprised by the recognition Aatami got. Mostly because looking at them all, he figured they were all too drunk to notice him in their midst. Apparently he'd been mistaken. There were a few hoots from some of the partiers about Aatami taking Chism upstairs but he ignored it, much like he ignored the sounds that assaulted his ears once they were up on the second floor. He merely raised a brow at Aatami's back in a 'you're kidding me right?' sort of way. He hovered slightly behind Aatami as they made it up the pull down stairs, brows furrowing some. "You live in the attic?" he looked around the place with a frown. "How warm is it in winter? Cool in summer? Where's a bathroom for you?" he was concerned, even more so seeing how unfinished it was. There was a sigh though and he did move to sit beside the other, being mindful of his tail as he sat, it wouldn't do to catch the frat house on fire after all! He turned to look to him as he got settled and there in a rush "You should come live with me. I have a spare room." spare room and he hadn't wanted to find a roommate. Until now.

"It's not so bad up here. My room is a lot bigger than anyone else's." The way he said it was like how someone might mention a consolation prize to a loser. "I can put plastic over the drafty spots in the winter, and grab a few more blankets. In the summer I just open the windows and get a fan." What sparse windows there were happened to be on the small side, and although they opened, they weren't likely to catch much of a draft. Still, Aatami had made it work thus far, so it couldn't be that bad, right? "The bathroom and showers are on the first floor, same place it is for everyone." So what if he had to walk a little further to get to it? Aatami had legs; why not use them? At least it was quieter up here, even if you could still hear the party, albeit a muffled noise.
"Chism, you don't want me as a roommate. I'm working a lot so I leave things l biggrin ying around, and I try to be tidy, but everything ends up falling to the wayside." Just looking at his 'room' spoke volumes. Trying to keep up with the dust in the attic was hard enough let alone tending to the dirt and water that came from his plants, his books, research papers, textbooks, clothes...He didn't want to bring that kind of mess into his friend's life.
"Besides, I would be in and out all the time. I work at the library, I have my classes, the hospital internship and...well, I would have to still find time to come here to help out so I..." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
Trying to finishing a doctoral degree in half the time was going to be the death of him. Even if he had passed the college entrance exam at an early age. "Besides, I can walk to the campus from here. Some of us don't have chauffeurs." He teased, elbowing his friend with a half grin.

Chism listened to Aatami with pursed lips. Who was his friend trying to convince here? Chism, or himself? He pursed his lips a little as he listened, looking around the room. "Who are you trying to convince here? You or me?" he looked around again slowly. He didn't like that his friend was made to live all the way up here. "So? I work a lot too. Different commercials, and such. So I'm not so worried about things being left about. I actually have the ability to get a housekeeper if it comes down to it. I haven't yet, because I've barely been home enough to make the place a mess. So I wouldn't worry about it. We could always do that. Hire someone I mean to come in and clean." "Why would you need to come here to help out, if you don't live here? I thought you said they let you live here for helping out? So why bother coming here if you don't need to?" his head tipped as he looked around. "Pfft. Like it would be difficult to get you dropped here at the school? Would give my driver something better to do than sit around looking through gossip magazine or playing hand held games waiting for me to need to go somewhere. I can assure you he wouldn't mind someone else to drive around. Driving, means getting paid." Chism looked around again slowly. "This really isn't a place fit for a future doctor. You're liable to get sick with how drafty it appears, The amount of dust that is filtering in can get into your lungs and make you sick. Too hot, or cold and the same issue." he shook his head and rounded to the other. "Please, Aatami? Let me do this?"

Aatami tried to keep his spirits up, but those questions cut. He knew he should be staying someplace better, someplace healthier, but what right did he have to complain? It wasn't as if he had a family to go back to, and the room was mostly free. It wouldn't hurt him to put in a little extra work cleaning up; most days he just worked it in around homework and work, anyway. He'd grown so used to it all that Aatami had just become resigned.
"It would just seem a little...bad, to leave. Especially since they wouldn't have anyone else to do it." He shuffled from foot to foot, temporarily forgetting the sprain in his ankle. The swollen limb protested, causing the leafeon to pull his leg up with a hiss. When he looked back to Chism, he took note of the tone in his friend's voice and knew he wasn't getting out of this. And honestly, did he want to stay? There was no denying how bad this place was, and if he could make it through the winter without another cold then Aatami might actually do better on his finals...
"Okay, I'll move in with you...on one condition. You let me help pay on something. I don't know what your rent is like or your utilities, but I'd feel bad if I stayed without helping out." Chism may have been painting it all like a grand vacation, but Aatami knew more so than most that bills were a reality. His friend may have more wealth than he did, but that didn't mean it was without limits.
