Lucasta was by no means the most technologically inclined feline. Other than the offerings of a Senshi's phone, she had no reason to be. The gaps in her memory were quite extensive, but what she did know of that mysterious before was that she'd had little need for fancy phones with voice command. Those were things of the modern age she'd not spent much time studying.
But she was clever and resourceful, and a fast study. If this would help her keep track of her allies—and, with any luck, find Ganymede—then it was worth it to come here, even if that meant listening to useless chatter about food and associating herself with felines of lesser intelligence.
No, Lucasta was not nice, but there was something to be said for her determination and dedication.
With her previous question regarding their numbers now sufficiently answered, Lucasta drifted back toward the assembled line of parts. She looked over them critically before taking a few for herself that looked as if they might feasibly be the beginnings of something useful. They were not pretty, but she wasn't here to be winning any beauty pageants. Following Ash's guidance, Lucasta began to put her pieces together, looking only slightly put out as she made slower progress.

Of all the unexplained mysteries in Destiny City, the Mauvians gathered suddenly had a new one. What was that strange clicking noise just behind one of the panels on the wall? Like a hundred clock hands all ticking at the same time, or a hundred marbles being dropped. The ticking was rapid and grew louder--and then suddenly, it was silent. Then, there was the faintest groan of metal. And then, the wall exploded. The first wave of debris consisted of dust and screws and metal plates; cat-like reflexes might have been a blessing if you were aware enough of your surroundings to know to jump back. Smoke billowed from the now gaping hole in the wall, and wiring fizzled and sparked amidst the dark plume. Briefly, the lights dimmed and faded, but they kicked back on after only a fuel grueling seconds of darkness. The only sound was another soft groan of metal--and the clicking. There was too much smoke to see behind the hole in the wall; there seemed to be only darkness. ...But darkness of any sort was dangerous.

Snowball had been sitting in front of the wall that had blown out, he'd made his own little explosion and thus not actually moved in time. His ears were down and he looked panicked. The first words that came to his mind were I didn't do it! when he glanced behind him and a foreboding sense washed over him.
Oh god. . . What just happened!? The Command Center, Ash was going to kill him if he wasn't killed by something else first. He moved as fast as he could away from the hole in the wall when he'd actually gained the sense enough to. "Uh....... well.... That's inconvenient and kinda creepy if you ask me..."
He looked around to the rest of the Guardians to see if any of the others felt some sort of extra darkness about this smoke and what lay behind it. . . It felt dark but it wasn't like snowball was afraid of the dark, though pitch black . . . maybe?

Sheena was late, couldnt be helped, she gotten caught up in an awakening, but now she arrived bouncing in ready to announce said arrival only for a wall to explode loudly leaving a larger whole.
She ran over to the other's that she could see and look wide eyed at the wall, "I'm guessing that wasn't apart of tonight's plans," she said looking back in forth between those gathered.
She looked to the whole eyes shining, "we should check it out. It's still clicking and making noise." She looked all to curious and rearing to go, but she was a very brave kitty if nothing else.

The responses of the other cats as they began to assemble things was… less than encouraging.
Ash stared around at them as they fumbled and sluggishly attached this to that and set up the connections, finding herself increasingly dumbfounded by the trouble they seemed to be having keeping up with her.
We are the most technologically advanced race in the universe, and we’re having trouble with PHONES? How far have we fallen? All these bright minds in one place, it shouldn’t be this hard… Fast growing exasperated with all of it, Ash slapped a paw to the floor, her tail giving an irritated flick back and forth.
“Lack of communication is one of our biggest failings as a faction! Even inviting all of you here for phones illustrates that. We have no way to reach out to each other, so no way of sharing information that is important for everyone to know. How can we be effective helpers to our senshi if no one knows what is going on with anyone else? Did you all know about the kidnapping of senshi and knights over New Years? Did you know when we found them and fought to get them back? And what do you do when you’re in trouble and need help? How do you call for help? These phones aren’t just ‘new age gadgets’…” She borrowed the phrase one of the cats offered, trying to keep the insulted feeling she got from that out of her voice. “They’re a necessity. To keep us all safe, to make us more effective. Not just toys that have no purpose!”
Knowing she was getting overly flustered over all of this, Ash impatiently took her assembled phone apart and started over, working as slowly as she could manage without going insane. She needed to calm down… it wasn’t their faults they couldn’t keep up with her. She had to accept that they were all different, all thinking beings.
Further upset over dealing with her own kind was saved by a strange change… a sound that caught Ash’s ears and paused her in her work. She glanced up with a frown when the wall suddenly exploded and she jumped skyward in a yowl of surprise. Claws scrabbling in the debri, the silver cat streaked for the computers and dodged behind them into safety. Crouched down as small as she could get, despite the puff of her fur that turned her twice her actual size.
“Whats going on?” She called as she peeked around the corner, her eyes wide in her face. “Is everyone okay? What happened?”

********* honestly had not been scrambling to fuss with the new devices. There seemed to be plenty there, so she could come back with snacks and then set to work at that time.
She had all but turned around, about to scrounge about for the tasty treats, when a faint sound caught her ear, followed by a literal explosion. Debris flew about, causing the manx to jump a bit to avoid a couple shards of the metal plating.
Where as many were asking the typical questions to follow an emergency, the rounded guardian couldn't help but ask "....so..... no snacks then?"
Her ears were flattened back a bit, but with a brief lick of her paw that got run over her head, it seemed to calm her enough that her ears were up and alert as if nothing had happened.
Sheena seemed to inquire an investigation, and the manx mentioned "...Well... let's be smart about it... maybe find something to toss in there to see if anything dangerous happens. The noise is still there, so it might mean it is still... volatile..."

When it came to doing technological stuff, Liryn was probably about average - at least he certainly considered himself that way. He wasn't anywhere near on Ash's scale since Ash was (as far as he was concerned) the undisputed expert when it came to all things technological, but he wasn't a complete slouch.
Of course there were those who might have said that he would have been better if not for his tendency towards fiddling and trying things out, although to Liryn's way of thinking there was nothing wrong with a bit of fiddling - after all he did it all the time on Arian's alarm clocks and nothing had blown up. Okay so it was clocks plural since often the clock of the moment tended to end up having 'issues' after he was done with it, but Liryn had faith that the next bit of tinkering would work as he intended it - it was just a matter of fiddling in the parts right. Right?
Listening as first Snowball and then Ash went into more detail on the message that had been sent out en masse over the senshi phone network, Liryn had helped himself to some parts and started to try to put things together in the way that Ash had demonstrated - or at least he had initially started out doing so.
Then he had gotten curious about what would happen if he tried putting a couple of the bits together differently and was frowning at them because it really didn't look quite right when his ears caught the faintest wisp of sound.
He hadn't had the chance to really process it though, in part because he'd been distracted by Ash's outburst and in part - a much larger part - because the wall hađ suddenly exploded whilst Ash was in mid tirade.
Although cat reflexes might have helped him, the suddenness of it all meant that Liryn had not been able to completely escape and whilst he did managed to avoid the metal plates, he did so at the cost of being pinged by a couple of screws and being hit with some of the dust.
He shook himself, purplish eyes gazing towards where he'd last seen Lucasta as she'd been in his vicinity beavering away. "Are you okay? " Then louder, "Is everyone okay?"
He could hear other voices enquiring to the same effect and then another voice talking about checking it out. ********* was suggesting maybe tossing something in there and so he picked up a small plate that had fallen close to where he was. "We could try tossing this in" he offered, adding "And I'm quite happy to help check out the hole further. " After all dark, creepy hole with weird clicking sounds - how hard could it be?

So maybe Nico had been spending a lot of his time torn between gazing adoringly at ********* for inspiration and trying exceedingly hard to piece his broken heart back together enough so he could come back at the irritable cat (Lucas, was it?) with a piece so moving even she wouldn't remain unfazed. Perhaps he'd been paying less attention to the phone assembly process than he should have. Perhaps, somehow, he'd found a loose piece of wire and started idly chewing on the end as he thought about something involving doves, bubbles, and chocolate.
Then the clicking started - and in all the fuss that came with the explosion to follow, Nico yowled in a completely non-poetic way and maybe sort of hid behind one of the other cats (Snowball), shrinking down towards the ground in a way that made him seem more the kit he was. Of course when he didn't die, he stepped out in an embarrassed sort of way with a flick of his tail, feeling more than a little silly. Then he realized his hat had gotten knocked off in the blast, and that was a whole other thing to go retrieve it and try and dust as much of the debris off as he could before quickly placing it back on his head. (Hat fur and all that. Couldn't let Lady ********* see!)
But that hole - "oh my" - he was definitely intrigued to go and check that out, his whiskers and tail perked in curiosity. Everyone else was talking about checking it out. So with little further ado, he called out, "I volunteer as tribute! Watch I shall delve deep into yonder hole, and so contribute. Watch out world, here comes a cat mole!" The rhythm was terrible, but interesting, he mused to himself as he trotted right along into the hole without a second thought.

With Snowball's assistance, Carmen actually started to do quite well on the assembly. She couldn't help but feel a blossoming sense of pride as the bits and pieces fit together to look more like Ash's partly-completed prototype. She was just about to give Snowball a very genuine thanks when the wall exploded. "A bombing?!" she cried out, frantically looking from side to side as though that could allow her to identify a potential guilty party. Some cats wanted to check on the status of others, some were volunteering to check it out, and there was Nico taking point and just walking right in. "Nico, wait! We should make sure there's nothing hazardous in there! I agree with her," she said, gesturing with her head to *********>. "We should try throwing something in there first and see if it comes back out... or doesn't."

Arthur listened with the polite curtosey one might show a club president or host. He hadn't meant to be a bother but the other cat seemed greatly upset about their conduct as a whole which could be expected if you were running a meeting and no one seemed all that interested in what you brought. While Arthur wasn't sure about he could do anything to make a phone (it hurt his back doing the flip necessary to give a senshi one), that didn't mean he couldn't attempt.
Gathering up a pile of mechanic odds and ends, he looked up and looked over his glasses but found that they were already steps ahead. "Excuse me. Is there any way an instruction manual could be given. Pardon my pacing, but my eyes aren't the best and I can follow to your pacing."
The clicking was not noticed by Arthur, who only had one good ear to begin with but would never admit and with the conversations of all the other cats, it was hard to hear anything. For all he knew, the strange clicking was normal for this place. He'd slept near central heating units and broken machinery before to not find it all that odd. The explosion however cause him to notice and he kept up to find a high place, which usually was safe, and ducked his body close to a computer keyboard.
When the dust cleared enough for him to see others, he looked at the whole. A dark hole wasn't strabfe either but this one made noise. Not good noise. He was all for just throwing a part of a phone in when a kitten shouted over the crowd and jumped in!
"Sport!!" He cried at the small, unsupervised kitten who vanished into the dark.
Tail bristled, he leapt down and went after in hopes he could grab the kitten in time and bring it to it's mother.

The dust had begun to settle, but there was still the sharp, calculated clicking hidden in the darkness. For a second, it sounded like the noise had begun to slow, like it began to move away from the hole in the wall--and then, the noise. A terrible, howling, metallic shriek that echoed off each wall. In a burst of movement, a hideous creature burst from the darkness. A long, snaking body and more legs than the eye could count, moving in rapid succession, emerged; it was like a centipede that seemed like he really enjoyed his vegetables. He was easily as large as a bus, and as round as a trashcan--and he seemed angry. Or just hungry. Those Mauvians seemed bite sized, either way. Quote: YOUMA CENTIPEDE

Nico didn't pay any heed to the voices behind him calling after him, carrying his head high as he marched proudly in. What could be so bad? Perhaps it was a treasure - or a book! A book of poetry! And he supposed magical secrets or what not were probably there. Hopefully in rhyming meter. Magic was so fun that way --
Abruptly something giant and foul rushed past him, and Nico barely had a chance to react before one of the many, many legs tossed him to the side like an old rag. It didn't exactly hurt that he went limp, as was his breed's disposition - maybe he still got dirty and lost his hat again, but he didn't fair as badly as he could have.
Except, you know. There was still a giant and disgusting monster barreling towards everyone, including the lady muse ********* who could probably use a valiant hero to fight in her honor. (The stuff of epics!!) This was truly a foul beast! "IN THE NAME OF LOVE, " he bellowed as he flung himself at the centipede's side, trying to maim a leg.
Except all he really did was bounce off uselessly. Again.

Nico had entered the hole foolishly, causing the manx to jerk forward a bit as she watched. However, before she could attempt to shout into the hole to get his attention, something rushed out, causing the poor kit to topple out as well.
"...well... that doesn't look good!"
Quick to take action, the manx seemed to bounce back and rather suddenly sprouted up in height, her shape shifting from something feline to something a little more like a human.
Popping her hat off her head and rolling it over her shoulder in a showy manner, she pulled a white mask out from the interior of her usual head adornment. There was no hesitation as she put it over her eyes and called out "********* Power, Activate!"
With a flash of light, her outfit shifted from the festive circus ringleader to the uniform of a Senshi.
If there weren't a giant insect-monster invading the space and causing explosions in the walls, then maybe she would have been a bit more showy about her introduction. Instead, she merely pointed at the beast and shouted "I, Sailor H, will see you defeated!"
Holding a hand to her side, some energy seemed to gather up, forming 3 colorful balls that practically glowed.
"Ringleader Juggle!" she called out as she tossed a yellow ball of energy at the monster.Quote: Ringleader Juggle - Literally just generic energy in a seemingly more tangible form. Similar to the forehead beams in function. Colors make no difference, just an aesthetic thing.

Snowball had stepped to stop Nico but soon he found himself too small, why hadn't he grabbed the kitten to start with? He was the closest?
His ears pinned down as he listened and then when the dust cleared a very interesting insect appeared. "Assshhhh!?" He called almost nervously, "Why didn't you tell me you had a pet!?" He reallyyyy hoped that it was a pet of someone's . . . otherwise . . . .
"And if he's not your pet how the hell did it get into the command center!?" Obviously this was bad. He dashed after it to try and smack the creature with his claws.1 Damage by Snowball. (Obviously he fails.)

Small plate in mouth Liryn had been in the process of suiting actions to words and taking it over to the newly formed hole to drop it in when the poetry spouting cat from earlier (Nico) had decided to jump in the hole with a speech about volunteering as some sort of tribute.
He'd been followed relatively soon after by a white cat with a bristled tail (Arthur).
Liryn dropped the plate. It seemed kind of pointless to continue taking it over now - not with two of them having jumped into the hole.
Besides the clicking sound, whatever it was, seemed to be slowing, dying down...
At least it had for all off a moment. Then with a noisy howling something burst out from the hole.
Something big and snaky with lots and lots of legs.
Liryn had already been headed in the direction of the hole and now he didn't stop to think, instead he flung himself at the thing emerging from the darkness with claws out, his target one of the many legs.
