Calder hunched his shoulders, frowning as he pulled out a big clump of grass. "I know what you are equipped ....don't want it...doing stuff with me." He grumbled, frowning as he watched the grass he pulled fall out of his hands before going for another clump of grass.
It worried him that in both forms, Zar was just if not more "equipped" as a stallion. Zar's form now was similar at times to that of a kelpie and could match his form in many ways. It was strange that he would have been a bit curious if they were going stallion to stallion, but nervous and apprehensive in the other.
He stopped pulling grass to kneel over and cover his face. "Can we not talk about this now?" He muttered behind his hands, his face feeling warm against his palms the more red in the face he felt.

Zar frowned a bit at Calder's comment, taking it rather personally that the other boil wanted nothing to do with him due to the shape he was in. He took it as a statement, a lack of trust where he would tolerate the Incubus near him only when he was in control, resenting giving him any power at all over him short of what he dictated.
Once again he seemed to shut down on the playfulness, setting his jaw. "We can stop talking about it." he said, clipped and formal.

Calder lowered his hands, using them to instead wrap around his body and rub his arms. "Thanks." He continued sitting, looking down at him, lost in thought.
Only after a moment did he dare to look over his shoulder. "S-Sorry about....I don't mean to make you feel bad when I'm a stallion." He turned back around to look back at the ground.
"You don't like me as a stallion and a stallion makes me feel comfortable. And you like me as a mare, but that doesn't make me feel comfortable when you...like me that way either." He smiled painfully at that. "Guess we just can't ever have it easy."
He frowned again, feeling even more hurt at the idea. "I really wanted to play tag some more. I never get to play around like this, when I'm in my other form. I miss it a lot, and you made it fun. It gets boring running alone."

"I don't mean to make you feel back when you are a mare either." Zar said, still clipped, doing his best to avoid saying anything which might further hurt Calder's feelings.
"I tend to be playful when there is a certain degree of incentive." he added. "There are some things simply bring latent instincts to the fore more than others."

Zar seemed generally concerned for him, and he felt even more embarrassed and silly that he was acting this way, but he couldn't help his own worries about the unknown that he couldn't escape because they were his own body.
"You said you get angry with all your instincts and urges. Does me being a mare make it worse?"
He paused again before standing up and turning around, but he still couldn't look at Zar. "If.......if I was a mare again, ....you wouldn't....do anything, would you?"

"I mostly get angry when you are a stallion. There are deep rooted instincts which impress upon me the wish that you had horns that I might battle you for territory. Males, as I have explained are an incidental prey at times, not always my prime focus. When you are in that mare form I assure you it is not anger that distracts me." he sniffed almost huffily, looking away.
"And of course I will not do anything, what do you take me for?" He realised the irony of saying it when he was so prone to losing control of himself and trying to eat creeple on occasion. But in this he had no doubt about his self control. "I would only ever lay a claw on you with absolute permission."

Zar had given his assurance and he felt a small amount of relief in that Zar was giving him his word. It will be safe. It will be okay. Nothing will happen.
He gave a deep breath before white mist rose over him and fell back down, leaving the same white mare from before. He wasn’t exactly sure why Zar preferred her like this. It was made to lure humans, but Zar was, despite a demon, standing here more akin to a monster than a high society incubi. Like this, he had instincts, and told her why he liked her like this. She supposed she couldn’t have those feelings for her as a mare, or if so, they were crushed by the urge to fight her. “I get those feelings too as a stallion. I want to fight for my claim. It’s..a bit exciting.” She admitted, but could see how that was bad. “I guess that doesn’t help us though. I never want you to feel bad when I’m around. I’ll….try to stick to this form around you when I want to stretch my legs.”
For now, she’d be accommodating….unless she didn’t feel safe anymore.
Tail flicking, she slowly approached, wary but trying to test Zar’s word. If she wanted him in her herd, then she needed to feel safe around him and vice versa.
“You’re actually the first person to notice anything about me when I’m like this. Then again, I don’t even get to meet anyone with a natural form that kinda matches mine.” Head lowered, she moved up to stand in front of him, heart racing.

True to his word, Zar made no move towards Calder, instead he sat, tail looped around him loosely as he took in the other form. "You do not need to stick to any form for my benefit you know. I can deal with you as a stallion, I find you attractive in any form. There is simply something... a little more relaxed in you like that. Or well.. there was. Until I said anything." he frowned.
"And I can't imagine why anyone else should miss how well you look like that, it is impossible to mistake." Once again there was a desire to nuzzle against the kelpie, but he didn't dare, lest his emotions upset the boil further.

She tried to relax, but even her eyes roamed and noticed how interested Zar was physically, and she decided to just keep her eyes up instead. Usually she would move in times where she felt afraid, a prey instinct to be up on your feet and able to run at the first sign of danger, but she decided to move around him and then back around before she settled down and laid on her stomach. No animals were here in the Mudd estate to attack them and Zar was nearby. Now she had to decide and see if she could feel safe protected by him or feel the need to be back on her hooves around him.
“I guess it’s cause no one lived near I lived and the only creatures about were the fauns and kelpies of my herd, and even they didn’t live near my parents and me. Neither of em liked me either. I should have figured out as a colt that I could never please them enough to ever feel included or wanted.” If he had the foresight, he wouldn’t have spent all those years trying to get them to like him even for a fraction of a bit. “Compared to other kelpies, they wouldn’t see as anything but not good.” Not good because of his father. Not good because his mother stayed selective instead of going to the pumpkin patch with others.
“I never got to meet too many monsters in their natural forms either. Not as big as me anyways. I saw Jericho once but we didn’t really talk and he’s much bigger than me.” She looked to Zar. “What about you?”

Zar gave Calder a thoughtful look as he lay down, the deep pull of predator in his nature telling him it was the time to pounce. He did not however, Calder was taking a pointed risk in putting himself in a situation he could not easily flee and taking advantage of it would simply mean he would not be privy to it ever again.
"My parents were impossible to please and they were the only individuals I was ever around. I learned to discard their opinion because they do not understand me or what I am capable of. I should think those individuals who thought little of you were in the same situation."
He smirked. "And no, me either, I have not encountered a great number of natural forms, for a very long time I thought it was impossible for a demon to be anything but pinned form shaped. It was a great shock to me when I found I could be something else, that underneath it I WAS something else."

Calder smiled as best a horse could, flat eats finally rising up as she tried to relax. "I'm glad you realized that, but I'm sad that your parents can't appreciate you. I guess I can never get demons for being that way. Sure, some of my herd worry about a stronger one taking over your rank, but we never want to weaken the herd by taking someone else out by hurting them. We watch out for each other... Or at least we should. Guess I'm was too bad for that." She gave a little whinny at that.
"But I'm glad too. I got to meet you and I start feeling I'm more of a herd here than anywhere else. Makes me feel less awkward to be around demons tok when I get to have you like this. I also like seeing you happier... I think. Sometimes I can't tell if your happy or not. I hope at least better? At least you don't seem so upset over urged and insticts. They aren't all bad."
"Like - do you have any urged you have now you've always wanted to do?"
