Odette took a double-take, glancing behind her to make sure the greenblood was talking to her. She looked sheepishly back at him, trying to recall what he had even said. It was so loud in the rink, it was hard to even hear him the first time. "Fun? Oh, yes, it's lots of fun! It's all very new and exciting!" Odette face started to feel hot. Was she starting to overheat already? How embarrassing.
"A natural?" She repeated, "Oh, I wouldn't say that... I don't think I'm much better than anyone else here." She nervously tucked back a strand of hair, pondering the idea. She wasn't a natural at anything. Even with ballet she had taken sweeps to perfect her craft, and she was still finding ways to improve. "But thank you, though!" She added, not wanting to offend him, "It's very kind of you to say!"
She took some longer strides this time skating around the rink. She didn't dare try anything fancy like a spin or anything like that, but she could tell she was getting used to the skates a little bit more. She managed to skate around the rink for two rounds before being tapped out this time.

It was a new evening, and a new chance to done the roller-skates she'd grown rather fond of even with her ridiculous stunt she'd pulled the night before. Skipping merrily to the roller ring, she quickly toe'd off her shoes. Hastily scrambling to get the mobile kicks on, she shuffled over the the location without a moment to waste.
Voscil was determined she wasn't a completely spazzoid, she wanted to impress the folks at the booth after all! Keeping herself in check (for now) the kid moved along, instead of trying to run with them on she slid her feet along like she'd watched some of the others do for a total of 5 rounds before she got excited. On the sixth lap, the kid got antsy and applied some pep into her step as she tried to hurry it up wanting to go faster that she had and really push herself. However, it proved to be a mistake as she belly flopped onto the group with a little bounce. "OOF!" She grunted as she slid across the ground for a few inches propelled by her momentum, her yellow humming energy fading as quickly as it started up. Woopse.
After she picked herself up, she did her little shuffle walk over to a female troll she had picked out for one of the two owners based on their cool cat demeanor. Bouncing up and down a little bit she gave a wave to the gorgeous curvy greenblood beaming at her. "Hi there! My names Voscil Torgny, do you guys have like some kinda sign up thing for this roller skating stuff? I'd lovvvvveee to join if you have room Miss!" She giggled like the wild child she was, doing a little bit of showing off as she quickly circled her even with the skates and wild arm flailing just for emphasis on the matter at hand.

Ah, yes. She was shy - lacking confidence perhaps, in areas outside of her focus. The redblood had scores of casual tics - tucking her hair back, flushing, little movements. Aandes slinked out of the rink, following Odette. "I mean that your form is precise, even for a beginner. Practice is the only way to come out on top; no one on Alternia is born naturally talented, you know?" He gave her a wink. That is to say, no blood color is born better. Aandes let the implication float in the air. If she was a royalist sympathizer, she probably wouldn't notice. If not, well... Solidarity wouldn't hurt. No harm in tossing out some playful compliments mixed with subtle social commentary. Aandes did a full spin to make sure that the other skaters weren't on fire or causing pile ups, and turned back to her.
"You're very welcome though. I can tell you're well practiced in other areas. Are you a dancer?" He began to edge towards the booth. She was looking rather hot, and being the warm clear day that it was he was prepared to be the gentleman and offer her a drink from the stand. His features were friendly and relaxed, his hands rested casually in his pockets, and even the position of his skates were engaged but not overbearing.

NEW DAY
RawringKiwi First place to Maihue, obviously. :B
”Are you some kinda psychic!?” Rasali marveled as she slowed near Maihue to hand her a ticket. ”My team could use someone with luck like yours!” Rasali winked as she skated off.
Rasali would have been more intimidated by the highblood if she hadn't already seen them hanging around the rink before. Still, she did her best to approach from a noticeable distance so as to avoid startling the seadweller as she passed out tickets.
”You seem pretty good at this skating thing! Coupled with the edgy style, you should look into roller derby!” Rasali complimented offhandedly and with a small amount of jealousy. She wished she could pull off the slick one-piece look.
leon_a_darkangel And third place to Voscil!
Aaaaand the last ticket was going to... Oh, there she was! Rasali looked down in surprise as Voscil appeared beside her, face down. She waited for Voscil to right herself, pleased to see her both unharmed and approaching her of her own volition.
Based on what she'd seen earlier, Rasali wasn't the least bit surprised by Voscil's forwardness.
”Hi, Voscil! I'm Rasali Panaka. I have a ticket for you!” She couldn't help but chuckle and raise her eyebrows at the idea of Voscil participating in roller derby, however.
”We've got a sign-up sheet right over there on the counter with the glow sticks! Though I gotta wonder--you know what goes down in roller derby, right? It's like fifty-percent race, fifty-percent shoving everyone out of your way. Think you can muscle your way past a group of older trolls on wheels?”
Rasali really hoped Voscil would say yes. This kid had the makings of a spectacular, if not legally dubious jammer. Still, Rasali felt obligated not to send a child into close combat without a little bit of warning.

Reemus toddled by in time to find that there was another game to try out. One that was focused on speeding around and not so much...corners at high velocity. Cool! He was certainly down for that. Either way, like every night he came to this booth, it was nice to have shoes on his feet for a time. But he was soooo excited to roll around a bit! As usual, the little yellowblood had some balance issues, but as soon as he got his strokes going, he was good.
Once in a while he'd bash through someone or other, and would call a "Sorryyyyy," as he left them behind. Considering his size, it was surprising that he wasn't bouncing off and landing on his bum. Being itty bitty helped, though. It was easier to duck and dodge with some amount of grace sometimes than being large and cumbersome. He zig-zagged some before turning another corner.
He even got to careen around and around for four whole rounds before he finally botched it! Reemus left the rink rubbing his forehead, but with a proud smile on his face for lasting so long. How exhilirating!
