Nicky tried not to laugh. Tried. She failed horrifically. Baliel was a hoot! A very sweet and kind hoot, but still. She was smiling, laughing, looking right at him.
"Only a maple because you're so sticky sweet?" The smile was on her face, teasing him for being a Maple tree surrounded by bushes. Only then to blink. Oh, right. Most pae didn't know who her grandmother was. Or really, great grandmother. "Um... Venus' parties. The huge yearly thing in honor of her greatness." Nicky blushed, looking away. This was the first time she'd told anyone she was a great granddaughter of THE Venus.

"Sweet? Looks like I'm pretty sappy after all." He laughed with her, enjoying the feeling. He loved to laugh! It's why he tried so hard to make himself and others do so.
At the name he tilted his head slightly in thought. "Venus...Venus...that sounds so familiar...Oh! Yes! I didn't go to last years, but I hear a lot of crazy things happen at her parties. Certainly sounds like entertainment to me...Wait." His eyes snapped back over to the blue female, but she was looking away from him now. "Isn't she some sort of God or something? Are you a God then?!" He pranked the relative to a Goddess.
He was going to pay for that somehow, wasn't he.

Dominique grinned, agreeing with his sappyness. Only for a blush to overtake her face, and her lips to fall to less of a truly happy smile.
"She's a goddess." Nicky smiled, completely embarrassed. "My mom is a... I don't really know, but I'm not. Whatever my mom is, I know I'm not." And she was okay with that. From the way she heard Dad talk about Mom, she couldn't imagine her mother as anything but the most beautiful pae in the world. If she had that for a mom, there was no way Nicky could be as unattractive as she thought she was. "But it's okay. I have a really big family~" This time she was really smiling. Not only did she have a huge family, she adored all of them. Hadn't met a one that wasn't kind to her, even if she was nearly blind and a burden.

God, Goddess, he wasn't exactly keen on semantics. He was hanging out with a grand kid of a goddess. Seemed like a bad idea.
Ah well, he was full of bad ideas. The plus side to it was it made life pretty interesting. "Maybe I'll go this year. Seems only right that I meet your family after taking you home with me." At this he laughed, as the actuality was far more innocent than the statement implied.
Speaking of his home though...there it was. Of course his new friend wouldn't be able to see it at this distance, but he could. A simple thing, not the best crafted as he was no carpenter. If he didn't have to cut, he didn't, so the walls and roof were made up from whole logs. Which left gaps as trunks aren't completely straight. But he sealed them up -mostly- with leaves, mud, rocks, ect, really anything that he found laying around. Somehow it worked, as he was quite cozy during the winter and had natural lighting through the day! Even if there were a handful of leaks during the rain. Which they were currently in.
They were already soaking wet, a few leaky parts wasn't a huge concern.
"I've always wondered what a big family was like. Do you pull pranks on one another?"

Nicky nodded, thinking about it. Her mom said they were always fun. She pondered the thought. "Maybe I'll go with you~"She grinned, thinking about all the pranks they could pull together. There had to be quite a few of them, especially with the level of extravagance that her mom had always described the parties as having.
"A big family? It's really just the four of us. Mom's got a big family, but I think she grew up with just her and her mom..." She chewed her lip a little, using her free hand to wipe some of the rain out of her nearly useless eyes. "I try to pull pranks on my brother and dad. Mom is.. Mom is scary though." She grinned, thinking about how scary either of her parents could be. Mom was certainly the one to look out for, but Dad wasn't a slouch either.

But how funny would that be? They could pull pranks and he probably wouldn't get into that much trouble if he was with Nicky. Yes actually. That could work. He grinned lopsidedly at the female. "Well with company like you how could I not go?"
His eyes flicked to her face as she nibbled her lip. Cute. "Ah, I assumed well...I mean I don't really know...I was expecting...I guess having a bunch of gods running around here wouldn't make much sense." Baliel stumbled out with a grimace. For some reason he pictured a big house with everyone in it. Or huge family reunions. That's what he imagined normal families would do. Then again, her family wasn't exactly normal either.
"Your mom is scary...I'll try to mind my manners around her, but my body does tend to wander." Wander into trouble that is.Dementia Requiem Asumi Since they already went to the party we should wrap this up soon to get them to a proper timeframe XD

Nicky smiled, "It's a date then~" She'd have held out her hand to shake and seal the deal, but she honestly couldn't tell where he was. Even with his being the only other voice in the room.
"Awww, I don't think you'll get into that much trouble! Dad's got a great sense of humor, and she can't po- wait a second." Nicky's smile turned mischievous. "How can you mind your manners? What do manners look like?" She teased, also wondering at the same time. What did manners look like?
And the night went on. Many corny jokes, effortless pranks, and even some prank planning. Overall, much innocence.
