Priorities! If she was going to try and put up a fight against a pokemon like that, should it escape, she was definitely going to need to get a bit stronger! She didn't even have her fire attack, for goodness sake! She really had been slacking off... Or maybe Team Imperium had done something?
... Now that she thought about it, that seemed very likely. They hadn't exactly been coming after Kail, certainly not full force. Maybe he'd made some sort of deal... or maybe they had just caught on and managed to get to her before he was able to grab her and go. Cyndaquil didn't like to admit it, but she knew that Lelanna was closer to Kail than she was, and she didn't recall seeing her 'atrophy' nearly as much. Her attitude certainly didn't...
In fact, she'd probably find the dangerous pokemon over there interesting!

Rolling her eyes a bit at thoughts of her teammate, Cyndaquil circled back, falling into a sprint again to race across the grass, carefully avoiding some of the other pokemon who were playing. She perked up as she spotted something, though, zooming over,a nd then slowing. This looked like a training area! How perfect! She let herself walk as she gazed at the different available equipment, then looked back over her shoulder at the crazed pokemon she'd noticed before. Hmmmm.... HMMMMMMM....
Yes, she would definitely need to get a lot stronger. But if he escaped any time soon, taht would be problematic. She had no idea how strong the pokemon here were! A few of them seemed capable, but... stiiiiilll.... She looked back at the equpiment. Maybe train a bit more, and then see if she could go distract him? That sounded like a good idea.

Ezio began to dig into the earth at the base of the stake, making decent progress, but the stake was pegged pretty deep into the ground, and it's circumference was wide, which meant he would be digging more in order to actually manage unearthing the thing, and digging was a long enduring process, one that he didn't have the time or patience for. Ezio growled and tugged on his chain some more, then attempted to pounce on the log again, seeing if he had made any headway in allowing it to budge. Hurling his body at the log once again, Ezio found that he really hadn't made any progress at all. He shouldn't have expected to after barely digging two inches at the base of the log, but the Absol had never really been a patient pokemon.

Wishing she had her fire attack, Cyndaquil settled for using one of the dummies to practice her Tackle attack. She backed up, then ran forward, ramming her head into it, and repeating. She also did a few little weights, her paws only able to lift them if she was able to scoot her way under the grip of a barbell and push up. She... managed to get herself stuck a few times. Luckily she could get herself out, and it was certainly doing a good job at testing her skills and working her some.
She panted a bit as she took a small break, looking over at the pokemon once more, and then grabbing a punching bag-- which was... very heavy-- and starting the very difficult task of trying to drag it across the field.

Cyndaquil actually managed to make a bit of progress fairly quickly, though part of that was because of a friendly Graveler offering her some help along the way. She didn't want her to carry it the entire way, but she did appreciate the assistance, and had her set it down a little ways from the absol, so she could resume pulling it-- more training!
She stopped, though, when she saw the pokemon digging, her little heart jumping up in her chest. She gave the punching bag another tug, but, upon realizing she couldn't pull it fast enough, she let go of it, and ran over. The absol had started trying to shove the stake over. Picking up speed, she raced over, leaping into the air, and then curling up. "Hey!" She aimed to hit him in the center with her tackle attack, and immediately bounce back, out of range, landing on all fours, ready for battle-- even though she hoped to hold off on that. "What do you think you're doing!?"

Ezio was already frustrated at the fact that he'd made little to no progress on the wooden log holding him down, or his muzzle, but then suddenly he felt something small tackle his side. The Absol's head snapped to the Cyndaquil who dared to attack him and gave a low growl as she asked what he thought he was doing. "What does it look like rat?!" Ezio snapped, lunging at her with a rabid snarl, tugging at his chain and attempting to swipe at the Cyndaquil, but she was just outside of his reach unfortunately. It was humiliating! Angrily, the Absol paced back and forth at the furthest radius his confinement would allow, seeing if he couldn't get any closer. "You dare try to attack me again and it will be the last thing you do. I will cut you down where you stand!" He growled, his horn glowing as he whipped his head about, the winds seeming to follow the motion, picking up speed. It was clear he was in no mood to be trifled with, much less by a smaller, weaker pokemon such as this Cyndaquil.

The fire pokemon tilted her head, but she was already shifting her weight, ready to fly out of range as soon as he launched his attack. "If they tied you up, it was probably for good reason, you lug head!" she shouted back, "So just settle down!" She wasn't going to attack him, but she wasn't going to flee, either. She wasn't afraid! There were too many pokemon here for her to go down all the way with no one noticing, and she was certainly no coward. "If you don't, your bound to get attention from more pokemon than just me, and a lot of them are even stronger!" Which was... partially bluff, partially a decent guess.

"They tie me up because they fear me, as you should." Ezio growled, glaring the Cyndaquil down. She warned him to settle down, lest he grab the attention of other pokemon, but Ezio merely cackled, a harsh and cruel laughter. "Let them come then!" He grinned devilishly from behind his muzzle, whipping his head once more to send a Razor Wind towards the small fire type. If he couldn't get his claws on her, then he would let the sharp winds do it for him. He'd called her bluff, doubting others would come to her aid. To be honest, he hadn't really been paying much attention to the other pokemon that were in the daycare, if he'd noticed that there was a Xerneas among their ranks, he might have reconsidered her warning. Might have, but right now he didn't care. He'd lain immensely strong pokemon to the slaughter of his claws, it was any pokemon's funeral if they dare come near.
However, Ezio was delusional. Yes, in his glory days, he was a force to be reckoned with. He'd taken out entire teams all on his own, but ever since Natalia had escaped Team Void and left him behind, he'd gotten a lot weaker. He was passed around between trainers that couldn't handle him until he was eventually released, becoming a wild terror in the Johto Region. Well, at least until Pokemon Rangers had detained him and strapped him here. They had to figure out what to do with him after all and he couldn't be allowed to continue running amok. Ezio growled and continued running this way and that, tugging at his chain wildly. He was hungry, thirsty, exhausted, the only thing keeping him going was his unending fury.

Cyndaquil tilted her head to the side, but took a comfortable seat when he retorted to her comments. Clearly, not afraid at all. She looked at him, but hopped up as he sent another attack, wiggling and waiting for the last moment, before diving out of the way, tucking into herself and rolling. Springing to her feet once more, she barked out a laugh of her own. "This is good practice! Keep them coming!" she jeered back at him, then pranced on over to her punching bag, tugging at it again to start dragging it closer once more. She gave a glance back at him, still a little ways away, watching him as he tugged and yanked at his binding.
"I know pokemon who have taken down puffballs like you in one hit," she stated, not mockingly this time, but simply as a matter of fact, "You don't scare me, and if you did escape, you would probably barely manage to land a hit on me before you were brought down. You're already exhausted." She turned back to continue tugging on her punching bag, speaking through the bit of fabric in her mouth she was holding onto. "Ish eshee do shee dat. Gi' ub." She gave the bag another sharp tug, then took a break, turning back to look at him, fully expecting yet another attack.

Ezio scowled at the Cyndaquil as she danced around his winds mockingly, jeering at him to keep them coming since it was "good practice" for her. "Shut your mouth or I'll shut it for you pipsqueak!!!" Ezio roared, pupils turning to slits as he pulled relentlessly at his chain. He reared up on his hind legs and swiped at the air, trying to reach her as she walked towards some sort of punching bag.
"I know pokemon who have taken down puffballs like you in one hit," She stated rather matter of factly, which only ticked Ezio off even more. "I have never lost a battle welpling. I am the predator, I deliver the blows. I have taken down entire teams handily. Pokemon have died by my claws, and you will be next!!!" He howled in anger. The Cyndaquil should count herself lucky that he was restrained, in his opinion, not be mocking him so openly. "If you believe yourself safe without my bindings, then set me free instead of testing my temper just outside of my range like a coward!" He glowered at her as she dragger her punching back over, continuing to bark and growl up a storm, yanking against his chain. This time when he yanked though, the log did actually jerk a little bit. Ezio didn't notice however, he was too focused on the Cyndaquil.

Cyndaquil rolled her eyes. "I've never lost a battle either. Doesn't mean I'm King Kanghaskan of the Jungle," she replied, giving her punching bag another tug. She pulled it over, just out of reach, then circled around, popping up on the other side of it to look over it at him. "And just because I'm smart enough not to get near you doesn't mean I'm a coward. A coward is someone who runs from a battle because they might lose. A moron is someone who fights a battle they will lose. A smart pokemon is one who avoids a fight they won't win. Unlike you."
She perked up a bit, then crawled onto the punching bag, sitting on her hind feet. "And if you think bragging about that stuff is gonna do anything, try again. My trainer has blown things apart, and that includes the living. I'm not really fazed by your hollow claims to victory...." She trailed off a bit, tilting her head, then suddenly jumped off, bounding away, and then running back, hopping onto the bag and then propelling herself up to gain more altitude, leaping over Ezio-- and landing on the spike to try and jam it back into the ground, before leaping off and quickly trying to bound out of his reach again.

Ren Leon's Future Vulpix
While the other pokemon ran about, doing their own things, a dark navy colored vulpix with a spiked collar sat in his own little piece of this daycare, watching with golden eyes. The show vulpix didn't have much of an interest in interacting at the moment, nor did he feel like doing any sort of training.
It had been a few months since he ran away from his previous trainer to look for that man. Going to shows with his trainer had become tiring and boring, and every time he had slipped up on something or cost his trainer some points, he had paid the price for it. Eventually, he had managed to get away one night when he was tied up outside like a dog. His trainer had abandoned him, so now he was looking for that one man that he knew could comfort him. That guy that groomed him a few times before; Leonhardt, was it? Yes, that had to be the name. He knew he was also a lifeguard in the summer, too, from small chat he had overheard. The Vulpix sighed, resting his head on his front paws. Despite searching over nearly half of Johto, he couldn't find Leon. It had been like he had disappeared out of nowhere, and he didn't overhear anything about his whereabouts other than that he had started his own pokemon journey.
Ren huffed a bit, rolling to his side briefly. While he was looking for the grooming lifeguard, he had found himself taking up residence in this daycare, knowing better than to continue roaming the wilderness on his own. After all, he was of an unusual color, and would likely end up getting captured quite easily if someone decided to throw a ball at him. Ren rolled back onto his belly, shaking his head. He was sure he'd find Leon some day, and he won't end up being captured by just any trainer. The collar on his neck... It was one that Leon had given to him the first time he had been groomed. It certainly helped deter trainers from thinking he was a wild pokemon, up for grabs. But still... there were people that might be tempted to try to catch him anyways... The vulpix stretched, getting to his feet. It was about time he stopped thinking about such things and go for a walk around the daycare.

Ezio narrowed his eyes at the Cyndaquil as she suggested she'd never lost a battle either, tempted to suggest that it was probably because she hadn't had too many battles in her lifetime, but decided against it for now, not really wanting to waste any more time with talking to her. "Tell me something then... If you are not a coward because you aren't running, not a moron because you aren't fighting a battle you will lose, and you are confident that you could win a fight against me, yet you won't fight me, what does that make you exactly? You're avoiding a fight you claim you could win, that seems more akin to running from a battle than anything else." Ezio sneered.
The Cyndaquil appeared to be showing off her skills, perhaps to intimidate him, Ezio thought. In actuality, she was attempting to peg his log back into the ground, but Ezio didn't pick that up from the action since he hadn't noticed the stake coming loose earlier. "If you are finished with your acrobatics and lectures, I'd prefer that you go bother someone else." He huffed, turning his attention back to the stake and digging a larger hole at its base. He was unsuccessful in taunting her into releasing him, so it would be more productive if he focused on getting himself free first instead of wasting time on the fire rat.

Cyndaquil tilted her head to the side. "I never said I could defeat you!" she pointed out rather simply, "I only said you would lose if you lashed out. There are more pokemon out here, to fight you, to defend me, to defend themselves. You'd lose-- but I never said I'd be the one to defeat you~" It was a bit hard to tell because of her muzzle, but it was almost obvious from her voice alone that she was smiling at that last little chime.
In fact, she'd very much even admitted she wouldn't likely be the one to bring him down. "So I guess that makes me even more intelligent compared to you, seeing as I can actually follow the conversation~"
She watched him as he started digging, but her gaze suddenly sharpened, and she darted forward, aiming to tackle him again, and hopefully dodge out of the way once more, if she could. "Stop that!" she shouted, as she did, "I may not be strong enough to fight you, but I'm not letting you escape!"

As Ren trotted about the day care, he came upon something that seemed rather amusing. He didn't know the details, but there was an absol tied up in a corner, and a small cyndaquil that seemed to be taunting it. Even as the Absol started to dig at the post it was tied to, the fire mouse seemed dead set on making the disaster pokemon stop. Ren hadn't any idea why the absol was tied up. Maybe it was for everyone's safety? Or was it a punishment? The Vulpix pondered for a bit, sitting down out of reach nearby.
"Would it not be easier to hack your way out with your tail?" Ren spoke up to the absol, voice clear and unwavering. The fox wasn't sure what the cyndaquil was about, trying to tackle the absol and declaring she wouldn't let him escape. "It isn't pleasant to be tied to a post. I don't think you'd understand, Cyndaquil." he commented to the fire mouse, golden gaze flicking between the two pokemon. Even if this absol 'deserved' to be tied up and remain as such, the vulpix was apparently differing in opinion. However, he wasn't going to step in to stop the fire starter from attacking, nor was he going to just jump in to the Absol's area of reach. He had merely been a show vulpix; he knew he had little skill when it came to battling, so he wasn't going to take any chances if he didn't have to.
