Yaholo paused and tilted his head to the side. Rilind was worried about what Mother Aisha would think of him? Normally Yaholo would have found the notion humorous if it were someone else talking, but this was Rilind, and Yaholo supposed he could understand why he would be daunted by Mother Aisha. She was a tree, but a goddess, and even Yaholo didn't understand everything that there was to know about her. Most information on Aisha was kept away from hybrids like Yaholo in hopes to deter trips across, or at least that's what he'd inferred in his younger years, so, his grasp on Aisha was profoundly smaller than that of anyone closer to her, such as Eshe or the other Mystics that tended to her. For all he knew, he could be scraping the very top of a jam jar of information and never truly know it.

Still, he knew enough about her to pass on to others, and hoped he could use his limited knowledge to calm Rilind's nerves.

"Well, getting an answer to that question would be difficult. Aisha doesn't speak." He explained, his lips pursing a little. "But, hey, you're more than worthy! Don't put yourself down like that. Aisha doesn't discriminate like that, I'm living proof of that."

Rilind's next question sent a bright red blush across his cheeks. Oh, had he not explained pleading for a child when he talked about Samoset and Kennet? It must've been discussed somewhere in there, right? Or had he forgotten a very crucial sentence like he always did? He sucked in another breath and let it out.

"Pleading for children, but we don't need to do that if we visit Aisha." He said, shaking his head. "We can sit and chat up to her, which is what Tahigwa and I do a lot. It's comforting to talk to her even if the only response you can get from her is the wind or a few petals falling around you. Pleading can be way in our future, or..." He paused, his lips pursing again. "Uh... Never, if you didn't want to have children. Whatever we decide to do is up to you and I, but I would like you to come meet her."

He took in yet another breath, feeling as though his own nerves were starting to act up, and ran his fingers through Rilind's hair. He didn't really know what else to say other than reassuring words, and that was alright with him. He understood that Rilind was nervous about some things and that was okay, it would never not be okay with him. He gave Rilind a soft smile and nodded.

"I know, and I understand." He said. "I'm the one who brought it up, so please don't feel bad, but it's nothing to be upset about to begin with. I know what it's like to feel as though things will go wrong, but I'm not going to desert you if anything like that should happen. You're perfectly safe here, and you don't need to worry, but I understand that you still do. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and I will never penalize you for it. I love you."

Rilind glanced up at Yaholo as he spoke, about the Aisha, who sounded rather magical and special in a way that was just beyond Rilind. She couldn't speak it seemed, but at the same time didn't discriminate. It was a nice thought, one that made him kind of wish that others were like that. Of course he supposed that he was sort of the worst when it came to such things, constantly thinking that people would think the worst of him. He dragged in a deep breath, held it, then let it out slowly once more. It was hard to get his frazzled nerves under control but listening to Yaholo's voice tended to help any time he had these sort of attacks.

Though at the mention of pleading, as well as what sort of pleading, his eyes went wide and his cheeks turned a rather dark color. Wait, what? Oh right, that whole baby making power the tree had, one of those things that he didn't quite understand, how it might work, how the tree could make children, how she went about deciding. He could only hope she found him so worthy of a thing... wait... no, that wasn't what he meant. He wanted to be worthy of Yaholo, not Yaholo's babies. Surely he didn't want to have those... well not have, raise. His mind started to run circles again but this time it was something that resulted more in his cheeks turning the same color as his hair instead of him panicking. A good sign that he was starting to calm down at least.

"I... umm... I don't know... I mean... children..." He breathed, looking down at his hands as though he didn't quite think he could imagine his hands holding or caring for a child. Weren't they small and delicate? Weren't they meant for people who knew how to deal with them? He looked up at Yaholo in a very uncertain manner, "I don't know if I would be a very good parent... not like you are..." What if he couldn't handle it? What if he messed up? What if he was an awful parent like his father?

Shifting closer to Yaholo he slid his arms around his neck, wrapping into his lap, and hugged him tightly. He fell quiet again as he continued to talk, reassuring Rilind as he often seemed to have to do. He hated the weakness he had inside of himself but at least Yaholo seemed to be able to help him with said weakness. All the worry and panic he felt, all the fear over nothing being quite worthy of Yaholo, of his family, of a meeting with Aisha, with any of it seemed to fade away at the last three words that Yaholo said. Rilind seemed to relax against him, eyes sinking closed, and he gave a nod, "I... know, it's odd to hear, still, but it's also nice to hear at the same time." He murmured, looking up at Yaholo for a moment, then away as he murmured, "I do too... love you, I mean... so ummm... how would we do it, visit her I mean?"

Yaholo watched Rilind's cheeks turn as bright as his hair and had to stifle a laugh. Poor Ril, he'd startled him and embarrassed him, it's was just so much for him to take in, wasn't it? The brute shook his head and continued to run his hand through Ril's hair, his body relaxing as Rilind seemed to be calming down.

"Ril, honey, don't fuss over that." He soothed, shaking his head. "Like I said, children could be way in our future, if we both wanted to have some. We don't need to rush into anything, ever."

He paused, his eyes filling with concern. Well, he was certain that Rilind could be a good parent, but he knew that his words could only do so much in terms of convincing. Rilind needed time to warm up to the idea of being a father, and that could take some time and consideration. There was no use, or need, in rushing him. Baby steps was all that Yaholo could ask for right now.

"Being a good parent can be trying, I know. But, kids really only need your love, support, and attention, aside from the basics like shelter, food, and protection." He continued. "Honestly, though, if you're not ready, then we won't plea. We'll just have a chat with Aisha and that'll be it."

He simmered himself against a tree to better support his back and hugged Rilind just as tightly, his eyes falling upon the top of the knight's head as he fell quiet. Admittedly, he was a little worried about scaring him, but hoped that even if these things did frighten Rilind, it would open the door to conversations like this in the future. He wanted to be able to chat to Rilind about all sorts of things, even the things that might spook him, and the more he could nudge the doors open, the better those openings became. He smiled in relief when Rilind spoke again, and sighed.

"We would need to cross the waters to the west of here, through Andile, to reach Isle Amara." He explained. "Then, from the northern tip of Isle Amara, we'd need to cross over to Isle Ekene, which is where Aisha is located. Then, all we need to do is make it through that island without being seen and get past the guards. It's not that hard, honestly, you just need to make a big enough noise to distract them and sneak by. I've done it a few times."

They didn't need to rush into anything, words that were quite soothing to the nerves of Rilind as he didn't think that children were the best thing for him. He didn't know if he'd be able to do it, he had a terrible upbringing, something that would leave him with a skewed view of how one should be raised. He wondered if, before they went about such a thing that he should try closely watching Yaholo and his sons? That or watch Yaholo's own parents? It was something that caused him to make a thoughtful sound in his throat, still uncertain if he'd be good at such a thing even with better parents to emulate.

Turning to look at the bigger man he listened as he explained what he felt were things that kids needed. Love, support and attention, along with shelter, food, and protection... it was suprising sad how much of that he'd been deprived of he thought to himself though he didn't say the words out loud. Instead he merely nodded, feeling that was enough. He opened his mouth, struggled with words, paused, then said, "I... don't know, it's really something I have to think about, something I've never considered." The idea of children really never came to mind for him, he'd never been with a woman so that method was straight out, and magical trees didn't grow just anywhere, "I will need time to consider everything." He murmured, patting Yaholo's arm, hoping that would be enough for him.

As Yaholo started to describe what it took to even get an audience with Aisha he found himself starring at him, eyes wide, and that seemed to add only another dimension to what it wa that he was thinking and feeling. If it was so difficult to even get near to her should he risk visiting her more then once? Should they ask her the first time that they visited if they were even lucky enough to get close to her? He had no idea, it was really something he would need to consider at length from all angles before deciding anything, before they made their attempt at this journey that Yaholo had proposed.

Yaholo nodded. Children were something to consider, not a certainty. All he wanted was Rilind. Rilind was his sun, moon, and stars. He ran his hands through the knight's hair and did his best not to stare at the blue hair that was growing in. He had missed those blue locks he'd fallen in love with when he was a prentice. The way they rivaled the shade of the night sky, as if his Rilind had been a fallen star in a humanoid form. He allowed himself to muse and imagine Rilind as a glowing God that just so happen to fall into his arms and grace him with his presence, before his focus eventually snapped back to the conversation at hand.

"And we can think about it. It's not something we need to worry about now." He said, nuzzling his forehead against Ril's, before finally noticing just how wide eyed he was. "... Do you have any questions about Aisha in general? Like, just, anything. You can always ask me anything, Ril, and I'll do my best to answer."

Rilind seemed oblivious to the fact that Yaholo was starring at his hair which was in a transition state, somewhere between the red that he'd dyed it and the blue that it actually was. If he knew that Yaholo liked it so much he would likely leave it as it was, instead he was actually debating if he wanted to redo the dye since it was a form of armor. He glanced up at Yaholo, then nodded, "Alright, I agree." He murmured, feeling that worrying about children now, when it was even a guaranteed thing even if they did somehow get to Aisha, seemed to be foolish. No reason to fret over something that was of minimal possibility instead of a definite.

After a moment of thought he gave a shake of his head, "Nothing comes to mind passed the more glaringly obvious questions about how such a tree could exist... but I suppose that she's something more then just a tree, something special and powerful." Something like the Bergchi he'd heard about back home but hadn't exactly believed in due to his circumstances. Giving a bit of a smile, his fingers reaching out to brush against Yaholo's cheek he said, "I feel that it will probably make more sense and seem more real once I see her, when we decide to try to visit." He was uncertain how that would go and if they would actually get close, but Yaholo was smart and strong, if anyone could them a meeting with his Aisha Yaholo could.

Letting his eyes sink closed, still using Yaholo as a pillow, he asked, "Should we actually try hunting? Or are you as content with staying put as I am?"

Yaholo made a noise in agreement, his own eyes beginning to flutter. It would all make a ton more sense once they got to Aisha. He'd see her, be able to touch the branches, and just... Hopefully feel the sort of connection that Yaholo felt with her. A guardian spirit, an ultimate source of comfort when things got tough. Aisha was a wonderful, beautiful thing, and all he wanted to do was share her love and guidance with the man he held just as close. He gave Rilind a peck on the forehead and shimmied towards the ground, seemingly fully content to continue to be as lazy as they were for rest of the day.

"I'm more than content to lay here with you, Ril." He muttered, laying his head on the top of Rilind's. "Maybe if something comes by I'll try and catch it, but for now... Let's just linger in the quiet while we still can."

Rilind gave a bit of a smile before he nodded his head, "I... I'm glad." The mere fact that he was happy to lay here with him, something so simple, made him rather happy. He shifted himself so that he could curl up to his side, playing with his hair in a sleepy manner, "You're so nice... Yaholo, curling up like this always make sleeping easier...." He murmured in a sleepy voice. It didn't take all that much long before he'd dozed off against Yaholo.

He loved sleeping right here where he was, Yaholo made it so easy to sleep, made the nightmares stay at bay, and that made it so much easier. He had no reason to worry, not when he was able to rest like this. Not to mention if anything was stupid enough to show up that Yaholo would beat it to death with a hammer so it sleeping in this secret place was safe.
