Another egg was found, this time Mattimeo pushing it excitedly towards their trainer, a giant grin on his round face. Noel couldn’t help but chuckle, kneeling and retrieving the egg to send it off. Mattimeo really seemed overjoyed to be helping and was hopping up and down, legs kicking in every direction to display his excitement. Sherlock watched the blue ball a moment with a bit of disdain; he wasn’t certain why he was so happy, Sherlock was the one who found the egg after all. Clearly, the Azurill was just excited for the chance to be out. They gathered back to the Pidgeot again, the bird giving the group a look as it noted a new addition. Luckily, they were all so small and light or it might be problem. They all shambled on to the bird, who gave a bit of a look before taking off once more.

A town surrounded by a tall wall. Avikna had heard the stories of this town several times. There were children books that told the story of what the people of this village once believed. At night a terrible monster would come and consume them, so they took to hiding in their homes during the night. Though the people of Lacunosa would deny that they still believed in the fairy tale, they still chose to hide in their homes at night. During the day however, it was a bustling little town. The market was filled with fresh produce and sound of busy men and woman at work cleaning or repairing their homes. Honestly, it was almost like stepping back in time coming to this town. It was a nice refreshing turn from the previous places they'd been to.

Landing in what appeared to be the village square, a market nearby beckoned passerby with various items, mostly food or easy to come by items. It seemed the egg hunt was focused on the market, meaning that was where they'd be heading. "Why don't you two find a place to relax that isn't in the middle of the town?" Avikna mentioned to Mave and Arietty. They both nodded their heads, leaping back up into the air to take to the skies, later finding some trees to the east to rest under. Avikna and Tay in the meantime headed into the market, where they were quickly stopped by a rather flamboyant old man. "Hellllo~ Daaalings!" He cooed, waving a hand dantily towards the two girls. "Would you, sweet things like to battle moi?" He inquired, holding up a small basket filled with various items. "This basket is yours if you can beat my baby?" Avikna quirked a brow. If a win against one Pokemon was all that was needed, why not? "Sure." Avikna replied, readying RAY's ball. "Magnifique! One on one, first Pokemon to faint is the loser." He quickly stated, then tossed forward his ball. The crowd parted some, giving them space, many had stopped to watch the battle. Avikna in return unleashed Ray, to which a few people in the crowd gasped. Dragons weren't quite a rare sight around this place, but RAY, being both a rare species of dragon in Unova as well as a shiny version of it's normally black and blue species. Whatever the case, the crowds gasps were pushed to the background when the man's own Pokemon appeared.

The battle swiftly ended with Ray as the victor. Avikna called back her dragon, tightening her grip on the dragon's ball. Ray had certainly gotten stronger, but perhaps she was on the brink of being too strong? The weight of that 8th missing badge pushed down upon her like a ton of bricks. If Ray were to go just a feather out of place now.. she feared the weight would crush her. It was time to swap Ray with someone else for now. Saving that idea for the time being, she was met with the male as he expressed a look of defeat, but joy over having such an eventful battle. Giving the man a slight nod, she took the basket of goodies with her free hand, and turned to Tay to offer the basket to her. "I don't entirely need any of these items, so take them." Avikna exclaimed. Tay smiled wide, accepting the basket and ripping it open a moment later to reveal it's contents. One item in particular was a used Pokeball. Tay stared at the ball curious for a moment before she finally released what was inside. What was revealed was nothing short of surprising. Looking up at them was a small Pichu, about ankle high with fur of blue and magenta tint. It was rather adorable, looking up at Tay and Avikna with wide eyes. But then Nepherit appeared behind the Pichu barking a greeting, sending the little one into a panic. It dashed up Tay's leg and hid with her thick hair. "She's easily frightened." Avikna noted. Tay bobbed her head, reaching back a hand to try and entice the little one to come out. She could feel it shivering against her neck, tickling her slightly. She then got an idea and pulled out from her bag the Big Mushroom she'd obtained earlier, and offered that instead. The mouse stuck his head out slightly, just enough to snatch up the mushroom. Now perched on her shoulder, she continued to eat her snack. Tay chuckled lightly, offering next the Heart Scale. "Are you sure you want to use that?" Avikna asked. Tay nodded her head. "Yea." A simple reply. Avikna this time pulled out a treat of her own from her bag and offered it to the mouse, perhaps to get in it's good graces as well. "Nepherit didn't mean to startle you." Avikna supplied in the wolf's defense. Nepherit barked in agreement. What Avikna offered was a Sweet Heart, a candy often used as a heal all during battle, but it's been researched to improve a bond between trainer and Pokemon. The mouse was Tay's now, though, so... Avikna pulled out her supply of Sweet Hearts and handed them to Tay. "Use these sparingly." Avikna advised. Tay nodded, tucking the candies into her bag. "I decided to call her Freya." Tay stated. "I read about someone named Freya in school, she was really cool and beautiful..." As far as Avikna could see, this mouse was neither of those things, but it was Tay's Pokemon, so the red-head couldn't object.

With Tay's new addition tagging along on her shoulder, the mouse actually came in use. The two were talking about traveling and the egg hunt, and after showing the mouse one of her colourful eggs, she pointed Tay in the direction of one she'd seen earlier that day. Luckily enough, no other person had found it and that was their 21st egg. Heading out of town, the group made their way to the outskirts on the opposite side of the wall where Arietty and Mave awaited. At first, the Pichu shied back, hiding within Tay's hair, and even after Mave showed the mouse she was no enemy of it, she still seemed rather hesitant, only poking her head clear from the teen's hair. Once airborne, the mouse hid completely, clinging to the back of Tay's shirt. It was somewhat uncomfortable for Tay, but tolerable, since she understood some might find flying in the air scary.

He hated kids, and brats like this were especially irritating. "I could, easily, if I wanted to risk breaking her arm when I got sick of your attitude," he offered in a leering tone. Adder scrunched up his face, his shoulders raising as he kept his back to the man. He picked up his pace, then turned his head to shoot him a glare. "Leave me alone!" he muttered, before turning, and breaking into a run.
