Cyrus was laying in bed when his holocaster went off, alerting him to a new text message. "Beeep beeeeeep text from your secret admirer~" Virus' voice blurted from the device. The dark skinned male groaned in irritation. "I've told you many times, Virus. Don't." he snapped. The porygon2's commentary was always annoying, and was always getting scolded for speaking up or looking at messages. This time wasn't any different. The platinum haired male disregarded the comment for now, as Virus went quiet shortly after. Argo was roosted on the bed post, and Stow seemed to have found a cozy spot under a cushion on the small couch. The rat's tail was the only thing visible.
After a while, Cyrus decided to actually check his holocaster, blinking when he realized it wasn't any job. It was just ... Apollo. Not that that was really a bad thing. Opening and reading the text, the golden eyed male's first reaction was to snort lightly. Miss him? He wasn't that sure about that, shoving any affirmatives from his mind. But the rest of the text brought a frown to his face. A reminder of that stupid, stupid promise he had made for no reason. Apollo was already acquaintanced with Zak, so his efforts to keep them away from each other were wasted. With an exasperated sigh, he pushed that thought out of his mind and worked on responding to him. It took him a while to decide on a response, but he ended up typing it up and sending it before he could change his mind.

Cyrus decided to get up and walk about his room after having responded to Apollo. There was a really nice bathroom attached, and even a mini-fridge. He opened it, finding that it was already stocked with the usual. Well, he didn't think he'd need booze quite just yet. Besides, hotels had a tendency to charge extra for that. He wasn't convinced it was worth it at the time.
He pulled up his holocaster when another alert happened. This time, not accompanied by Virus' voice. The Egyptian's face reddened a bit at the message. How did Apollo of all people turn out to be so full of himself?!? It shouldn't surprise him anymore, but... it was certainly going to take some getting used to. After reading the rest of the message, he was distracted by exactly how he should word his response. It now just dawned on him how bad it'd sound to just straight up say that Zak worked with Imperium, especially after having admitted to working with him. Not only that, but if Zak ever found out, he had a feeling that he'd be in for a bad time.
Eventually, Cyrus worked out a reply, deciding against commenting on the first part.

Cyrus ended up not waiting for another response from Apollo. While some part of him kinda hoped that he'd be hearing back really soon, another part just wanted to relax for a bit and enjoy the room. He deserved it, damn it! After giving in and throwing back a few drinks at the bar down in the lobby, he had managed to steal just enough to cover the cost that it'd take to spend the night in the room anyways. Cyrus then returned to his room and fell asleep.
The next morning, he checked out, deciding to leave Saffron. It was probably time to go beat another gym leader. It shouldn't be too hard to take down the electric types with Papyrus, after all. He was going to ride that type advantage all the way. Besides, getting more badges might keep Zak off of his a**, too. Which was a good thing.

It appeared to him that his pokemon looked a bit more tired than he had thought. They were close to Vermillion and heading home, but another day wasn't a big deal. As his dad had always told him, there was no reason to rush during a journey, unless there was a good reason for it. With that in mind, he headed back to the pokemon center just before it grew dark outside. For the moment, they didn't have a reason to stay in Saffron City. There was a gym there, but based on his knowledge of the badges in Kanto, this gym wasn't the next one he could challenge. Either way, he'd be back one day, so for now, there was no need in worrying. Alex took one of the rooms for the night. With the thought of sleeping in his own bed, it was actually quite easy to fall asleep.

The next morning, Alex got up early, in hopes of reaching his house that day, it had been awhile and he was excited to show his mom what he had managed to accomplish. Alex continued to make his way through Saffron on his way toward the south exit. He needed to travel down Route 6 in order to make it to Vermillion City. This wasn't his first time making this trip, so he didn't have some experience. The water pokemon trainer was confident that he'd make it back home with plenty of time to spare, before the day ended. Eventually, with quite a bit more walking, he made it to the city limits. This wasn't goodbye forever, but he was getting used to larger cities like Saffron, so he would miss it. He looked back at the city, before looking toward Eevee who seemed to be a little more awake now. "I'm sure we'll be back to defeat the gym at some point." With their goodbyes to Saffron out of the way, the duo started down Route 6 on their way to Vermillion City. It had felt like a really long time since he had been home, but he did still have business there. Seeing his home again was great and all, but he knew the type of challenge the gym offered there. As usual, Alex wasn't too worried, but he did want to prove a point about water pokemon being strong. Electric types usually had a very strong advantage, but there were a few tricks on how to deal with that problem. Even so, that really wasn't how he wanted to prove it. Blastoise was his strongest ally and it would definitely be a surprise to use in an electric gym. The thought of winning against the odds made him excited. Obviously, those were thoughts he kept to himself, but it was fun to think about.
Alex had actually made great time and could finally see Vermillion in the distance. His attention turned back toward Eevee as he grinned. "That's where home is, I know my mom will like you a lot, so be careful." He said with another chuckle as she always did like cute pokemon like Eevee the best.["If she's anything like you, I'm sure I'll be fine."]Eevee spoke in a way that truly showed that she wasn't that worried. "That was quite the show! Those bugs certainly made Misty squirm!" Merlin exclaimed when Sable, Darren and Jin came out of the gym. "C-congratulations on your victory." Gavyn smiled sheepishly to Sable. It seemed the group was finally on the move out of Cerulean City. Marigold joyously rejoined with Lapis as the group headed south. "So, what made you join up with your trainer?" Mari asked her blue flowered friend, her hand in hers as they walked along. She was quite curious to know more about this other Florges. She couldn't remember the last time she's seen another of a kind.
Gavyn fidgeted a bit more than usual as the group moved towards the next town to the south. "Um... er, excuse me... Sable, Darren, Jin? You uh... all don't mind me accompanying you, do you? If it's okay with you all, I'd like to continue..." the brown haired male finally spoke up, sheepishly at that. He didn't ever officially ask to accompany them - at least not beyond getting out of Mount Moon. It would feel wrong to him to continue to follow them around without making sure that it was alright. They reached Saffron in almost no time, Asriel brightening up a bit. "I know this place!" he exclaimed, looking around. Of course, despite knowing this is the city that his trainer lived in, most of the places looked very similar. Which is what had gotten him lost in the first place. Merlin picked up on the fluffy lizard's words. "It looks like Asriel's trainer is from this city. I'll try to help him remember where." the clefairy commented. Maybe going to the pokemon center would help, but the spectacled male wasn't sure what the others in the group were going to be up to, besides heading towards vermillion.

Darren chuckled and nodded as Jin suggested that even if Misty were familiar with the Joltik, it was hard to hit an opponent you couldn't see. Misty was smart though, and had her Starmie hit the entire platform with a wave of water just incase there was anything there. "Yeah, looks like she's already handling it pretty well." Darren murmured in agreement after Jin suggested that Misty wouldn't be much of a gym leader if she let the situation trip her up for long. Eventually though, Sable had won, and both Jin and Darren made their way down to congratulate her. Sable seemed quite content with her win too, though mentioned that mostly she hoped this would give Frizz a confidence boost. "Mm. I'm sure it helped, but even if she's not feeling more confident, at least you can point to this battle as an accomplishment on her part." Darren nodded, though he felt obligated to explain Gavyn's situation, since the shy brunette didn't appear to have made it to the gym like he said he would. He hadn't noticed the top of merlin's head peeking in through the window to indicate otherwise however, at least not until they stepped outside.
Lo and behold, there they were, Merlin greeting them enthusiastically about how the bugs Sable has used made Misty squirm, and Gavyn giving a slightly delayed congratulations. With that, it was decided that they should start heading towards Vermilion, though Sable still needed to grab her dried clothes at the pokemon center first, but she insisted that the boys go on and get a head start. Nodding lightly, Darren started walking towards route 5 with Gavyn and Jin, keeping a light pace such that Sable could easily catch up when she was finished taking care of her clothes. Lapis glanced to Marigold as the other florges asked what made her join Darren. "Um, well.... When I was just a flabébé, I was attracted to this sweet smelling device that another trainer had, and he caught me, and the next thing I knew, I had been given to Darren. It was pretty shocking, but I'm happy with the way things turned out. Darren has been really nice to me, so I'm glad to have him as my trainer~" She explained happily.
Meanwhile, Darren hummed a little tune, smile on his face and hands in his pockets as he walked, and eventually, Sable caught up with them. When she did, Darren greeted her with a smile. "Welcome back~" He chuckled. It hadn't been a very long separation, but that was part of the reason it was so amusing. Though, shortly after, Gavyn spoke up, asking the other three if they didn't mind his company. "Huh?" Darren looked mildly surprised by the question. "Of course I don't mind~" Darren chuckled. It seemed like a pretty silly question to him, though part of him wondered if they had been doing anything to give a different impression. As they arrived in Saffron, the charmander that had began traveling with them spoke up, and Merlin translated, explaining that Asriel's trainer was from this particular city, and he would try to help him remember where. "Oh! Great, I hope we can help him~" Darren smiled, seeming pleased. "I wouldn't mind staying in the area for a bit and taking a look around. Maybe we can check with the Nurse Joy here and see if she knows him?" Darren suggested.

Thanks to the three males deciding to slow their pace, Sable easily caught up to Jin, Darren, and Gavyn after reclaiming her clothing from the dryer at the pokemon center. And even if they hadn't slowed down, they would have found themselves having to catch up to her as she zipped overhead on her hoverboard."Ah! Found ya!"she called out as she circled the group once before bringing the board down low so she could slow down and hop off."Alright, so it's through here to Vermilion, right?"the teen asked with some obvious excitement left over from her flight as she kept pace with the trio of males, currently oblivious to whatever shock or discomfort Gavyn might have had about her board.
Regardless of his opinion of her equipment, Gavyn eventually asked the rest of the group something. Something that he seemed to have been concerned about for a while now. Between Jin and Sable, the dark type was the first to answer, shrugging and letting out a soft chuckle after Darren insisted that it was fine for Gavyn to keep traveling with them."I don't see any problems with it. Although, you might be getting in a lot of walking with these two,"Jin added, feeling a bit of warning was only fair. Sable let out a chuckle of her own at that, remembering that it had been her idea to go hiking up an inactive volcano instead of enjoying that tanabata thing."Well, it's not like we have any reason to say no."With that, Sable gave Gavyn a friendly grin as the group continued on their way.
As the group entered the city proper, the oddly-fluffy charmander that had been following Gavyn around suddenly became excited. Since Jin wasn't about to reveal that he could understand what the fire type was babbling about, it was a good thing that Merlin explained what the little fluff lizard was saying."We're not in a rush or anything, so there's no reason not to help,"Sable agreed, feeling that it would be bad to just ditch the poor little guy if he was able to get himself lost so easily. Jin even gave a couple of nods when it was suggested to ask the city's Nurse Joy if she knew the fluffy fire type."I'd imagine that he'd have to have been taken in for a check-up every now and again, so if he's from around here, a charmander as unique as him is bound to be a familiar face."With his own two cents added, Jin made his way towards the pokemon center, his trainer following along nearby.

Gavyn tensed up when Sable rejoined them on that weird... thing. The board that could fly. He still didn't know what to think of it, but made no comments. This wasn't his time anymore. He was going to have to get used to all this new technology, even if he didn't understand it. After recollecting himself, he officially asked them if they didn't mind if he continued to travel with them. He was relieved to hear that the others didn't mind. It felt a bit embarrassing to ask that, but he just couldn't help but ask out of consideration. After all, they were already three people, and he didn't want to complicate anything... if that was even possible. "Th-thank you. I r-really do enjoy the company." Gavyn smiled.
Marigold listened to Lapis' story of how she ended up with Darren. It sounded a bit odd, with the sweet smelling device leading to her capture, and just eventually being given to Darren. "Hm, he does seem nice, huh? I think it must have been destiny, you know. If you didn't belong to Darren, I'd never have met you~" Mari smiled brightly, squeezing the other's hand gently. "Gavyn seemed like a nice guy when i met him, and he has lots of grass types. I can tell! He might even be really good at gardening~" the orange Florges commented as they went along.
Asriel looked with big blue watery eyes up as the trainers all agreed that they'd help him find his way home. He was just so happy that he started to cry a bit. "Th-th-thank you all!" he squeaked a bit. Merlin gave the charmander a pat on the back as Asriel wiped his tears away with flufy white claws. "He very much appreciates the help." Merlin let the trainers know, mostly so that they didn't worry that the charmander was crying for some other reason.
"Alright then. I think the pokemon center is the best first stop." Gavyn agreed with Darren and Jin. After all, the charmander was... very unique. And if this was really the city he came from, then the pokemon center surely would know, right? With the others, he headed towards the pokemon center. There seemed to be some talk going on about some kind of fair, but Gavyn was focused on trying to help the charmander, going up to the Nurse Joy at the counter.
"E-excuse me, miss?" Gavyn spoke up softly. "Hello! How can I help you today? Got any pokemon that need healing?" she smiled at him from over the counter. "Um, no... I think they are all just fine at the moment." he replied sheepishly, picking at the sleeve of his sweater. "Actually, I found this charmander, and he seems like he got lost from his trainer? Merlin - my clefairy - said that he said he was from this city..." the spectacled male tried to explain. Blinking, the nurse leaned over the counter to look down at the charmander. Recognition spread across her face. "Hey, that's Asriel! What are you doing away from Tori, little guy~?" Joy asked in a gentle tone. Asriel looked down with shameful, watery eyes. "I-if it's not too much trouble, do you happen to know where his owner lives? I'd like to make sure he gets back home..." Gavyn questioned the nurse. She returned to her normal position behind the counter. "Sure! That's so sweet of you. Victoria lives on the first floor of an apartment building around the corner from here. Here, I'll give you the exact address." Joy smiled, then grabbed a scrap piece of paper, writing down the address and pushing it across the counter towards Gavyn. "Thank you very much, miss." the brunette said gratefully, then got out of the way for others that needed Nurse Joy's attention.
"I've got an address now. Did you all want to follow, or...?" he asked them, ready to head out to the address. He didn't know if they preferred to wait here or what.

Darren had nearly forgotten that Sable had her hover board. With that in mind, he supposed slowing their pace was probably silly and unnecessary, but Darren was nonetheless happy to see Sable again, welcoming her back from her short detour and nodding when she suggested that Vermillion was through Saffron. "Yes, I believe we just need to take a shortcut through Diglett's Cave and then we'll be there in no time~" Darren suggested brightly, looking to Gavyn to see his opinion, but the brunette had something else on his mind when it came to travel plans, asking if it was really okay to keep traveling with them. Darren certainly had no objections, and neither did Sable or Jin, so Gavyn seemed content, thanking them since he had been enjoying their company. "Of course~ It's been great to have you and Mer around too, and I'm sure Lapis is glad you found Marigold." Darren grinned, glancing back at the two hand holding florges.
Lapis nodded lightly as Marigold suggested that Darren did seem quite nice, and that it must have been destiny for her and Darren to meet. Though when the orange colored florges suggested that if she hadn't been given to Darren that they wouldn't have met, Lapis realized that was the destiny to which she was referring too, and her cheeks bloomed a deep blue. They were almost the color of her petals as she looked away shyly, but smiled to herself and gently squeezed Marigold's hand back in return. She was so nice... Lapis was certainly glad they had met. It had been a while since she'd seen another of her kind, so talking with Marigold was quite refreshing, even if Lapis usually ended up just listening to Mari talk more so than the other way around. She just had a very soothing voice that made Lapis enjoy quietly listening and nodding along. She talked about Gavyn and how he had lots of grass types and perhaps was really good at gardening. "Yes... I noticed his affinity for grass types, so I'm sure he probably does enjoy gardening. Maybe you both could build one together some time...?" Lapis offered.
Soon Asriel spoke up, Merlin translating that apparently his trainer lived in Saffron. Darren suggested that perhaps they go to the pokemon center in that case, to see if perhaps the Nurse Joy there would recognize him. Sable didn't oppose it, since it wasn't like they were in any rush, and Jin agreed with the idea that if Asriel's trainer lived here' the nurse was bound to recognize a charmander as unique as this one, so it was decided that the center would be their first stop in the city. Asriel was certainly appreciative of their willingness to help, but as he began to cry gain, Flynn looked uncomfortable. This charmander sure was a crybaby... It made his stomach feel weird seeing him crying like that, even though he was happy. Sure enough, the pink haired nurse recognized Asriel almost immediately, and gave Gavyn the address of his trainer. Afterwards, Gavyn inquired if they all wanted to follow, but Darren hestitated. "I do, but... It might be for the best if just you, Asriel, and Merlin go. I wouldn't want to overwhelm his trainer with all of us suddenly showing up on her doorstep. Heh." He chuckled, scratching his head. "I mean, if you guys want to go, don't let me stop you." Darren looked to Jin and Sable. "I'm just, trying to put a little perspective on things here. It's a lot more frightening if four people and their pokemon are on the other side of your door. She might think we were aiming to rob her or something.... And... Well... That wouldn't be good, so I'd rather just stay here, and you can come grab me when everything's settled." Darren suggested.

Once the group entered the pokemon center, Gavyn made his way over to the counter to speak with the nurse. As the others had expected, Nurse Joy was able to recognize little Asriel almost instantly. As it turned out, his trainer actually lived close by, up in the apartment complex right around the corner. The question now was whether they should trudge over together or if just Gavyn should go. As Darren pointed out, it probably wasn't a good idea for all of them to head over at once."Not only that, but if it's just an apartment, it'd be kinda crowded if we all just showed up,"the desert trainer pointed out, knowing that most buildings in an apartment complex were layed out similar to hotel buildings. Marigold beamed as she managed to get Lapis to blush a soft blue. She was super cute, even though she was mostly quiet. It was very endearing. The orange blossomed Florges really didn't mind that she did most of the talking between the two of them, and so far has enjoyed Lapis' company a lot. She nodded as Lapis admitted that Gavyn and Mari could probably make a garden together sometime. "Oh, I'm sure. But to be honest... I'm more interested in if you'd make a garden with me sometime~?" Mari inquired. It wasn't that she didn't want to create a garden with Gavyn - he did seem like the type to have a green thumb. She was just a bit more enamored with the idea of making a garden with the other florges.
After getting the address, Gavyn returned to his travel companions, asking if they wanted to accompany him or wait here. The consensus was that it was better that Gavyn took Asriel back on his own. "Very well. I-I should not be too long." Gavyn replied, then head out of the pokemon center to follow the directions. Marigold stayed behind, but Merlin walked hand in hand with Asriel, making sure that neither the charmander or his trainer got lost.
The nurse was right. The apartment building was right around the corner, not too far off. Gavyn was largely unfamiliar with this type of building, but luckily, Merlin caught on. Once they were through the main doors, Asriel rushed ahead, going right for a door and scratching at it. "It's here! This is where i live!" he exclaimed. Gavyn checked the number on the door against the one that was on the written address, and it seemed to check out. And then stood there awkwardly. "Gavy, you are supposed to knock on the door." Merlin reminded Gavyn, chuckling a bit. "O-oh ... r-right..." he mumbled, then reached over and knocked on the door. "Just a minute!" a feminine voice came from behind the door.
Shortly after, the door opened to show a young, but rather unhealthy looking lady with long blond hair and ruby eyes. "O-oh! Asriel! You've come back!" she cried out as soon as she was in the door way. Asriel cried out and climbed up onto her lap, hugging her. Victoria took a moment to then look to who she had to thank for returning her charmander to her. "Oh, thank you so much, sir. Um... come right in." she told him, moving her arms to wheel her chair back to let Gavyn and Merlin in. Gavyn really was unsure about going into the apartment, being uncomfortable with intruding on the woman's apartment. He hardly knew her and all, but an invite was an invite, and Mer gave him a light push inward to encourage him.
"How did you find Asriel?" she asked. Gavyn explained that in fact, Asriel had found him and pretty much clung to him ever since they found each other in Cerulean. Over the conversation, it became apparent that Victoria was frequently ill. "Oh, don't go worrying about me. I've got enough people to do that as is. It's not like I'm dying or anything." she assured her guests. Her gaze dropped back down to Asriel. "Although... my condition won't allow me to do any extensive traveling. I had promised i'd travel the world with Asriel, but... Unfortunately, that isn't very feasible right now." she sighed, stroking Ariel's fluffy head. Her ruby eyes them moved to lock with Gavyn's, causing him to feel a bit uneasy. "You are a very sweet young man, bringing my dear Asriel back to me. May I please ask you a favor? I know it's weird to ask when we have just met..." she questioned the brunette. "Er... um, what is it that I can help you with?" Gavyn sheepishly replied. This was an uncomfortable situation for him, but he would be a gentleman, and do his best to help the unwell woman. "Please. Could you take care Asriel for me? I think... I think it is best that he gets to see the world. I don't want to keep him cooped up in here with me like this. Knowing that he ran into you like that... You must really have a kind heart. I'd be really happy, and i'm sure he will, too." Victoria asked with a sad smile. She didn't really want to let go of her adorable little fluffball, but she wanted the best for him. And if that meant letting him go, then so be it. "I'd... love to. I promise i will take very good care of him for you." Gavyn responded, not even thinking about how inept he felt about training fire types. A promise was a promise, and he didn't like the idea of letting down Victoria, especially given her state. "Thank you so much, Gavyn. Here is his ball. And here... This is my number. You don't have to contact me often, but... I'd be happy if you could give me updates on how Asriel is doing from time to time." she told him, handing over a pokeball and a phone number scrawled on some paper. Gavyn put Asriel's ball on his belt, tucking the number away into his bag.
It was a tearful good-bye between the charmander and Tori, mostly on the charmander's end. Then Gavyn was free from the apartment, sent away with a cookie for himself and Merlin, and a slice of pie for Asriel. "That... went... s-strangely, didn't it?" Gavyn asked his clefairy as they started back towards the pokemon center. The fairy nibbled on his cookie happily. "Well, it wasn't normal. But I'm so proud of you, Gavy! You've taken on a fire pokemon for the first time! And you made Tori very happy." Merlin commented. Asriel had calmed down from parting from Tori, having accepted that Gavyn was his new trainer. In fact, the fluffy charmander was excited about the idea of seeing the world, finally. "A-ah... r-right... I.. think it will be okay...?" Gavyn mumbled, anxiety starting to settle in a bit. At least it's not like he'd be traveling alone. Surely Darren could help him if any troubles with the fire type occurred.
Gavyn entered the pokemon center, easily finding Sable, Darren and Jin once more. "I'm... back. Uh... Asriel's trainer asked me to take care of him for her, on account of her being unable to travel in her condition..." Gavyn briefly explained to his travel companions. He was prepared to explain the whole story if they asked.

Once it was agreed that, for many reasons, it was probably for the best that Gavyn go return Asriel on his own, Sable and Darren remained behind with their pokemon, as well as Marigold so she could keep talking to Lapis. "Good luck~" He smiled, giving a light wave to Gavyn. He was sure it would go over just fine. After all if Victoria was Asriel's trainer, and a pokemon like Asriel was that fond of her, she was probably a total softie, which would be easier for someone as shy and timid as Gavyn. In the meantime, Darren made himself comfortable on the sofa of the pokemon center, humming and taking a look around the area to see if anything caught his interest. If nothing else he could just pull up something to read or a game on his Xtransceiver. It didn't come to that though, because Darren soon spotted some fliers pinned up on a community billboard on the wall of the center. It looked like it was advertising a renaissance fair in Unova, and tickets were being sold at the train station here. "Hey Sable, Jin, check this out." Darren called his companion's attention. "I didn't know there was a renaissance fair in Unova~" He grinned. It certainly sounded interesting to him at least. "Do you think maybe we could drop by there before heading to Vermilion? I mean.... We're already here by the train station, so we could just get a ticket over there now." He suggested.
Lapis was a bit surprised that Mari seemed more interested in making a garden with her over Gavyn. "M-m-me....?" Lapis stammered. Considering what they were, that was quite a strong implication. Lapis glanced hesitantly from side to side, her blue blush growing on her cheeks again already. "I.... Um.... I mean..." She put her free hand to her face, keeping her eyes downcast as if trying to tuck her head back into the blue flowers that surrounded it. "Tending to a garden does sound nice b-but...." This was so embarrassing for her, but also somewhat flattering, she wasn't sure what exactly Mari was trying to imply; tending to a garden of flowers, or a garden of flabébé? Lapis wouldn't mind either one but if Mari was implying the latter, she sure was coming on strong, and Lapis didn't quite know what to think of it.
Eventually Gavyn came back, briefly explaining that Victoria had asked Gavyn to keep and take care of Asriel for her, since apparently she was in no condition to go off traveling with him. "I see...." Darren frowned lightly, hoping that Victoria was okay. It was probably quite hard to let Asriel go, even if it was temporary. Who knew how long they would be traveling after all. At least Darren knew Gavyn would be able to take good care of the charmander. "Well at least this way he'll get to travel, and he certainly does seem to have taken a liking to you Gavy~" Darren suggested brightly. "Do you have some way to keep in contact with his trainer? I'm sure it might help them both in easing the pain of separation." He asked. Once Gavyn explained that he did have Tori's number, Darren nodded, seeming content, and then recalled the fliers on the billboard. "Oh! Hey Gav, what do you think about going to a renaissance fair?" He asked, pointing out the poster he'd found, and eventually, when they all seemed in agreement to go to the fair, they made their way to the train station, and bought tickets to head out to Unova.

While Gavyn went to return Asriel to his trainer, Sable, Darren, and Jin stayed behind in the pokemon center. Jin mostly just flopped onto his back on a couch and stared at the ceiling. That made things a bit difficult for Darren to make himself comfortable, since he'd end up having the legs of Jin's illusion either up against his side or across his lap. Meanwhile, Sable decided to see about swapping out one of her pokemon. Honey was pretty strong, which was good, but she wanted to bring up some of her other pokemon, so she swapped the bug out for the pidgey she had gotten back when she, Jin, and Darren went to tanabata. She kinda wanted to get the little guy to evolve, if only because she was aware of a slight travel problem with her team. Specifically, that while she had a means to get from place to place quickly, Jin's unwillingness to stay in a pokeball more than he needed to and her own uneasiness about carrying a passenger for long flights meant that she'd need at least one large flier once she got whatever badge would let her fly around freely.
When Darren wanted to check something, Jin had no problem moving his legs so the teen could get up. It was only when the male trainer told him and his own trainer to come over that the dark type let out a small groan."I'm up, I'm up..."the disguised zorua grumbled as he got off the couch to go see what Darren was talking about. Sable didn't really require much coaxing other than the other trainer's comment and went over to check the flier without any fuss. She didn't look all that comfortable when she saw it was another fair thing, though. Not that tanabata hadn't been fun, but for her, it was more fun to go on that hike than actually stick around the festival itself. Darren sounded excited, though, and Sable didn't feel strong enough against going to try and dissuade him."It should be okay... But we aught to check if Gavyn wants to go, first,"she eventually agreed after mulling the thought over a bit, which meant that a bit more waiting was needed.
Eventually, Gavyn returned, and the charmander was still with him. From what he said, it seemed Asriel's trainer just wasn't in any condition to give the charmander the kind of adventure pokemon like him sort of needed. Sable wasn't quite sure how well Gavyn would do, since he seemed like he was better with grass types than fire pokemon, but it sounded like he already promised to take care of it."Well, I'm sure it won't be too difficult to care for him. Charmander are usually starters, after all, and even if this one is a bit unique, I doubt they'd be offered to beginning trainers if they were hard to raise,"the desert trainer offered as a bit of encouragement.
With that, Darren started trying to recruit Gavyn to his side in terms of whether the group went to the faire or not. Regardless of how much convincing it may have taken, Darren eventually managed to win Gavyn over, settling the matter. After leaving the pokemon center and a quick stop for some snacks, the group made their way to a train station to get their tickets. The faire was apparently out in Unova, which felt strange to Sable. Not because of anything to do with the faire itself, but to the teen, it felt like another reminder that, soon, she'd have to head back and take on the gyms in that region. Even if that meant having to leave Darren and Gavyn to do so. So, although Jin was rather excited about taking in the sights, smells, and flavors of the faire, Sable sat in uncomfortable silence as the group rode their train out to the faire.
