Cheria tilted her head when she noticed his sudden change in tone. Was something wrong? If he couldn't care for it, she'd be more than happy to. They were strange, but cute. In their own little...horror movie way. She turned to Marx when he offered to help her get the ticket, but she shook her head. Cheria couldn't take his money. He would need it. "No, it's okay. Just....Just stay close to me?" Maybe she could avoid any awkward encounters with guys if they thought Marx was her brother, or boyfriend. Cheria's cheeks turned pink again and she looked down. No. Brother would do. "Heh....Cheria's got a crush~!""I do not....I'm just trying to...think of the best strategy...." Cheria purchased a ticket and hurried to board the train, hoping the pinkness in her cheeks had died down.

Marx gave a slightly apologetic smile when she dismissed his offer, figuring it was probably because, well... they'd be splitting up, and he obviously didn't ave that much money on him if that was the case. He nodded, though, at her request, smiling good naturedly and handing his money over to buy a ticket of his own. "Don't worry! I won't leave your side," he reassured her, giving a bit of an encouraging grin. He took the ticket, waiting for her to buy hers, but blinked and looked down when he heard Aaron's comment.
"Huh?" That was a funny thing to say. He smiled, a bit awkwardly, but a bit in amusement as well, and scratched the back of his head. "We only met a little while ago," he pointed out, surprisingly... grounded about that. He chuckled a little, then looked back up to Cheria, tilting his head as she seemed to respond, but non-verbally. "Ready?" he asked, almost offering his arm to her, but thinking better of it.
He did do what she said, though, and moved closer to her as they walked to the train, keeping near as they boarded, and found some seats. He seemed to sort of forget her earlier discomfort, remaining near enough that he could easily place a hand on her shoulder and guide her if needed, but only did so once, as they had to move out of the way for some of the other passengers, and then dropped his hand, looking for an empty location, and then dropping down once he found them.
To think... he was actually.... finally on is way to be a ranger. It was almost surreal....

Cheria gave a gentle smile to Marx. He really was so sweet. Aaron laughed a little at Marx's "just met" statement. "That's all it takes for a girl~." Cheria frowned and returned Aaron, along with Sheena and Jun, before boarding the train with Marx. She stayed close to him, tensing just a bit when he touched her shoulder, but relaxed when they finally found their seats. It's just a quick ride. You can handle this, Cher.

The ride back from the school wasn't so bad. It actually wasn't that crowded, so she didn't need to be so close to Marx. Not that it mattered. She stayed close to him away. She mostly just sat there quietly, petting Sheena's belly gently as the Froakie slept on Cheria's lap. When they arrived at Littleroot again, Cheria picked Sheena up and stepped off the train. "Okay....I think we can skip Littleroot and train a bit in Oldale. I know Michonne will need stronger opponents than Oldale offers, though."

Marx seemed more than happy to have Cheria nearby, engrossing himself in his book while they rode the train. He seemed to have a bit of a hard time actually focusing, as his mind kept drifting and daydreaming, but eventually they arrived, and he quickly put his books away. He hopped up, darting off the train, and offering Cheria help again to get off the train, if she needed.
"Hm? Oh! Alright!" he agreed, grinning a bit, "I need to train some of my pokemon, too, and I think a few of them are still around that level. How many pokemon do you have?" Lacing his fingers behind his head, he looked around, absently making his way towards Littleroot, and glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. "Uh, hey... Have you done any trainer battles?" he asked curiously, pushing his hands into his pockets and shifting his attention to focus o her.

I caught Jun in Vaniville before coming to Hoenn." She continue walking, Sheena perched on her head again with her eyes closed. When asked if she'd done any trainer battles, Cheria gave a sheepish smile. "Um....No. In fact, Jun was my only battle." Cheria felt ridiculous admitting it, but it was true. She'd battle more. Eventually.

From what she said, he assumed that Sheena was her Froakie.... so which ones were Lily, Aaron, and Michonne? And, now that he thought about it, he was pretty sure he'd only seen four of them, which meant there was one he hadn't seen. Well! No need to pry, he was pretty sure he would get to see them while they trained, especially since she mentioned training the latter of the five.

So, Marx hadn't battled any fellow trainers either? She'd have to see if she could challenge him sometime. It'd be fun. Marx instantly perked up with interest when she mentioned the contests. "Oh, wha, really!? You're gonna try contests??" he asked enthusiastically, grinning with excitement, "That would be awesome! Plus maybe I can help you, if I, y'know... get the hang of it myself by then," he added, rubbing the back of his head.
Man, this was awesome! Cheria was the... second? Third? Of his friends to mention an interest in trying contests. He couldn't wait to be able to start them, especially if so many of his friends were going to be involved! It was certainly giving him plenty to think about, and look forward to, keeping his thoughts towards the future, rather than the past.

↳A few minutes after having arrived in town and watching his son hobbling into the lab, Tsubin's father looked back up from being doubled over, wiping a tear from his eye. After all, he couldn't resist the outburst of laughter; a large man in a lab coat had run past him with a wild Poochyena and into the building, and he had to hook an arm around Fearow's neck to keep himself standing. He nearly started again as his son stumbled out the door a minute or so later, but he quickly regained his composure. "That was fast," he remarked casually. "So what did you pick, son?"
Tsubin was still in the process of stabilizing himself, but his balance had dramatically improved over the short amount of time. As he made his way back over to his father, he shoved his hand back into one of his haphazardly stuffed jacket pockets and dug around, knowing he stuffed the only occupied Pokeball into the same one as his new Pokedex, while the other expendable items were in the other. Finding it, he stopped a few feet away from his father as he pulled the sphere from its hiding place. "This," he said as he pressed the button on the ball to open its contents. A surge of light spilled out as the top half popped open at its hinges, collecting and condensing into a small form on the ground between them. Behind Tsubin's head, Hikari hovered just over his shoulder, watching curiously with an inquisitive whistle.
The bright light faded away to reveal a small blue creature with spiky orange cheeks and two fins on its head and tail. After looking around at its surroundings, it turned around and looked up at the two men, opening its mouth and letting out a "Muuuh?" at them.
After a few moments of staring back at it, Tsubin's father spoke up. ".... Tsu, what the heck is that?"
"Dad, don't say that. This is a Mudkip." Hikari let out another whistle, projecting her voice into Tsubin's mind. "Huh? Oh. Wait, a female Mudkip?"
"And have you given her a name yet?"
"No, um...... Aoi."
His father raised an eyebrow at him as the name tumbled out of Tsubin's mouth. "Did you just hurt yourself on your way out or what?" he asked jokingly as a smirk crossed his aged face. "Nah, but that's a good name... going with colors. Seems fitting though, doncha think?" He gave a smile down at the little mud fish, who evaded his gaze by backing away and behind Tsubin's leg after coming to an understanding that she was now one of his companions. "M-muh." The man's smile turned into a grin as he chuckled and reached out to Tsubin to pat his shoulder. "She's a bit on the shy side, it looks like. Knowing you, you'll get 'er out of her shell sooner or later. And with that, you'd best be on your way, son."
"I'll try my best with that, Dad. Thanks for the ride here," Tsubin replied, returning a smirk at his father as he was climbing back onto his Fearow. At the same time, he lifted Tsubin's backpack from Fearow's neck and passed it off to him. "Stay away from the storms on the way back."

After walking away from the lab and looking around a bit, Cameron started to quietly whistle a haunting tune to himself. Well, almost to himself. The Treecko perched on the black-haired teen's shoulder looked at his new trainer curiously when the boy began whistling, then started trying to hum along to the tune. Rather poorly, though more because the tune was unfamiliar to the Treecko than anything else. Although, he had a habit of trying to hum faster than the tune actually went. Quite a bit faster, actually.
After a few moments, Cameron stopped whistling and smiled at the Treecko."You like that song, huh? Little slow for you though, right?"he asked, earning a nod from the green Pokemon's head both times."Tree! Ko!"the grass type agreed, earning a laugh from his trainer."Alright then, see how you like this one!"Cameron let out a laugh before whistling a faster and more upbeat tune, nodding his head side to side in beat with the tune. The Treecko listened for a while, his tail moving side to side in time with his trainer's nods, and soon joined in with his humming.
For some time, the two continued in this way, humming and whistling bits and pieces of a couple different songs as they made their way towards an area that seemed a bit more likely to contain wild Pokemon than the main town. Of course, that put them a bit closer to the woods than the trainer would have liked to have been, but the way he figured it, the thief should have been long gone and out of Littleroot by now. The most he would have to worry about were Poochyena, Zigzagoon, and Wurmple. Right? It was with this line of thought that teen went back to whistling his first tune, with the Treecko now humming along a bit more correctly, even if he was a bit too fast.
After his daring escape from the lab into the forest Yukie made for a quick gender role swap. Disguising himself as a female while in the wood hidden away in his little cave. Letting his hair down and putting on a long white and pink summer dress in place of his shirt and pants. He would stay like this until the ghost was clear and he could change back into his normal attire. He needed to get into little root town and head for the train station right away. The boss was waiting from him in the Sinnoh region and he had no extraction team for back up or to get him there so everything had to be done of his own power. The road into Little root was clear and he quickly found himself safely inside city limits. Following the roads towards the train station Yukie could hardly believe his eyes. It was one of the trainer he had pushed past at the lab. He he gotten the Treecko he had failed to get ? Following the trainer he hopped to get him away from the watchful eyes of the world and into some place less observable so he could snag the pokemon.
When the time came Yukie rushed forward at the trainer. The tiny treecko was perched atop the black haired trainers shoulder paying little mind to what was going on behind them. The timing was right, he couldn't fail !

Cameron had switched to humming a rather fun tune with his new pal, not really noticing the sound of crunching grass and moving fabric until it was almost on top of him."Hm?"The boy's hums switched from those of music to those of curiosity as he turned to look behind him for the source of the sound. He soon saw the source of the sound, and the fact that the girl in the pink and white dress was running at him made the teen take a step back. Unfortunately, because of how he had turned and that the first step taken was with the foot that was now in front, the black-haired male ended up tripping over his own legs and falling to his side as a result. Specifically, the side that his Treecko was perched on, so the grass type hopped off his trainer's shoulder just as the teen hit the ground to avoid getting squashed under him.
"Owww... Lousy feet..."As the teen groaned quietly, he shifted around a bit so that he was in a position that was more somewhere between sitting and kneeling so that he could get back up. Shaking his head a couple times, Cameron looked at the girl that had rushed over to him, then blinked a few times as he took in her appearance. Specifically, what he could see of her face from where he was. Even with the few differences and questionable similarities, it'd be a rather peculiar coincidence for two people sharing eye and hair color to have the same markings around their eyes."S-sorry, I'm not normally this klutzy around girls,"he said as he continued to get to his feet, figuring that regardless of who this girl was, he probably didn't want to keep being stuck on his duff.

Grinding to a halt as the other trainer fell over his own feet. This was looking to be be easier then expected. When the trainer had gotten back on his feet Yukie grabbed him by the cuff of his shirt pulled him forward before shoving him back down to the ground all the while grabbing the poke'ball from his belt. "Ill be taking this you little grub." Yukie made to step back with the ball held out in order to retrieve the pokemon before making his get away.
This is fine lol Just have Treecko attack him and ill have Yukie run for the hills after that. If you want call the cops to give chase. Yukie is wanting to get in the sinnoh train but is going to screw up and get on the Johto train. after that he's headed for Azalea town to snag My other two characters pokemon.

Cameron wasn't exactly sure what he expected the girl to do when she approached him. To be certain, getting grabbed by the collar of his shirt and being shoved around was not high on the list, considering that, while she looked to weigh a bit more than him, he was over a foot taller than her. Although, his light frame did make the older teen fairly easy to push around. He also wasn't expecting the girl to go after the ball on his belt, and while one arm went for the one grabbing him by the shirt, the other tried to keep the girl from getting the Treecko's ball by grabbing it himself."H-hey! What gives?"he stammered as he struggled to keep a grip on the Pokeball while trying to keep from being completely knocked over. This was only partially successful, though, as while he did indeed keep a hand on the ball and soon brought his other one over so that he could have a better grip on it, he did end up losing his footing and ended up nearly falling on his rear. Just how close he actually came to ending up on the ground depended on the red-haired attacker's footing and grip.
While the struggle went on, Cameron's new Treecko friend blinked a couple of times in confusion at the sudden fight that broke out. All he really understood was that his music buddy was getting attacked, and that was enough to get the grass starter to spring into action. Using the fact that the attacker was probably pulled over a bit if she kept her hold on the Pokeball, the Treecko jumped up on the red-haired teen's back. He then crawled over it to get a bit higher up and started pounding on the girl's head with his tail. Even though he wasn't exactly that experienced in battle, that was bound to hurt quite a bit."Tree! Treecko Tree!"the grass type complained as he kept smacking the apparently-female teen in the head, not letting up until either he was thrown off or the girl let go of the ball.
Even though he might have had the height advantage, the black-haired teen knew he was on the losing end as far as strength was concerned. Therefore, he figured he might as well try and attract some attention, even though he was rather far off from the main town by this point."H-help! Help! Thief! This thief's trying to mug me!"the older teen shouted, not really expecting anyone to actually hear him but figuring it'd at least make the girl, if she really was one, a bit more likely to take her losses and run. By now, Cameron had narrowed down the multiple possibilities of who this girl was to two, and neither of them said anything kind about her. Either she was connected to the thief that had stolen the Pokemon from Professor Birch's lab, or, and he doubted this option strongly although it was still possible, this girl actually was the thief and, one way or the other, he was confused on the thief's gender. Either way, that meant the girl was bad news and that he'd need to keep her in mind for reporting to the police after dealing with the fact that she was trying to steal his Treecko.
