After recalling the sleeping Treecko, Cameron let back out the Lilligant and pulled out a few potions."Might as well get you healed up now instead of later,"he said to the grass type as he sprayed her with the healing liquid. It stung, but it helped to repair the damage done to her during the battle. The process only took a few moments, and soon enough the group was ready to get moving again.
Well, almost. From the looks of things a Floette with a pale blue flower had decided to approach the group. She seemed to be curious about why its friend had been captured, then got ready to challenge the teen's Pokemon. Cameron frowned due to expecting to use the sleeping Treecko, but Mezzo decided that she would take on the flower-bearing fairy this time. She didn't really like to fight, but she had caught sight of something and figured it'd be best to get things done now.
The fight went on with Mezzo only using one actual attack, focusing more on confusing her opponent and healing herself during the battle. Eventually, the Floette ended up knocking herself out, and after a couple tugs from the recently-healed Lilligant, Cameron tossed a ball at the small fairy. The Premier Ball shook a couple of times, but soon enough the flower-bearing Pokemon was captured.

After taking a few moments to spray Mezzo with a potion, Cameron continued on his way out of the woods. He needed to get that Floette healed if he planned on training her up. Besides, once that egg hatched, he'd need to be somewhere a bit more suited for training a fresh teammate. Either Oldale or Littleroot would be right for the little Pokemon once it hatched. With those thoughts in mind, the teen made his way to Petalburg city so that he could continue on his way.
Calvin arrived into the Petalburg woods in due time, loving the atmosphere of the wood and preferred it much so to the city of Rustboro. It actually reminded him a lot about home, a place in which he missed quite a bit. But...he was going to have to deal with the homesickness, mainly because his journey just started and he only knew it was a matter of time before he had to face Winona, the woman in which he knew personally from having lived in the city for as long as he did. He couldn't wait for that battle, but in the meantime, he had to get much stronger...and that's what he was doing in the woods in the first place. That...and he also had to make it to the ferry to Dewford.
Walking into the woods, it was just about to be sunset...and the ferry was not running at that point of time. So, it would only make sense to set up camp with his Pokémon like he did a few days back. They all seemed to like the woods after all...so, it would probably be a better place to chill out than Petalburg City. Plus, he had no idea if they had restrictions on the amount of Pokémon out of ball in the city...so naturally, he was going to stay in the woods.
Finally calling all of his Pokémon out, he introduced them to the newest addition. "Hey guys, this is our newest addition to the party. This is Lepup," he said aloud, watching as his Pokémon looked over the Pokémon scrupulously, but in the end, each of them seemed to take a liking to the Lepup, the Lepup's eyes shining with youth. It seemed to take a liking to his Pokémon, despite the Pokémon being undecided on Calvin himself. But...that being said, it listened to him a bit because Gallade was there to reassure the Pokémon on Calvin's decisions.

Calvin started to set up a small camp for his Pokémon, each of his Pokémon off doing their own thing...well...with exception of Lepup and Gallade, who were about 10 meters away from him and seemingly playing in a stream. Ryoko was sitting down and looking around, probably looking for some sort of food to eat, which Calvin was going to be making soon; so the Pokémon stayed patient in the waiting. Delia and Marcella had been gathering sticks and creating a fire for the camp, which was very pleasing to Calvin. "Good job guys," he said to the two Pokémon, a smile on his face, but of course, a smile that was hidden behind his bandages. Still...his Pokémon always seemed to be able to feel the happy aura and both returned the notion to him with smile and calls of their own. And lastly, was Maverick, who was doing what he did best...flying around and looking for potential intruders. He had no idea how the Pokémon was able to pick them out through the thicket, but it was rather impressive.

Calvin, finally finished the camp with his Pokémon, started to make another cooked meal for them. All the Pokémon seemed to rush to the fire as they smelled the sweet aroma of herbs mixed with a tab bit of sugar and other ingredients, all seemingly mixing together to make a wonderful aroma. The aroma however, seemed to have a bad effect as well. It seemed that a visitor had found its way into their camp. He heard a call from maverick and Victoriae seemed to jump straight into battle to protect the camp.

Calvin watched in happiness as Victoriae drove the wurmple back with ease. Patting the Pokémon on its head, he said good job to the little one. The Pokémon didn't react much to it, but it seemed to be happy that it won. Maybe this Pokémon would take its training seriously. That would definitely make his life easier and they would be able to go to Dewford in quicker time. Because, he knew that his other Pokémon were ready for a change of scenery. Continuing cooking, Calvin started to finish up the food for his Pokémon. They seemed ready to eat.

Cameron was still feeling rather jittery as he made his way into the forest. For some time he followed the path, heading deeper in. After a while, though, he suddenly turned off the path, as if he had heard some sort of noise and went to investigate. Not that odd, since the forest was filled with sound. Mostly, though, he just wanted to get off the path in case he was being followed. Legato circled above Cameron's head during the time the teen traveled along the path but quickly landed on his shoulder once it was time to sneak away. The Wingull figured it was probably best to not give his trainer's position away by mistake once they were actively trying to avoid being spotted.

Cameron continued traveling deeper into the woods and away from the path. He paused and shuddered as he walked, then shook his head as he continued onward. After several minutes of traveling quietly Cameron licked his lips once and began whistling quietly. Legato cocked his head a bit as he looked at his trainer, then hopped off the teen's shoulder and took flight. He didn't circle directly above the teen this time, though, and instead opted to fly around on Cameron's right, staying more or less around what he assumed was the edge of the teen's vision but was actually somewhat beyond.

Cameron had just slowed his pace when he heard some buzzing from his Pokedex. After pulling out the device, a quick check showed the teen that his Cheri plant was ready for picking. Nodding, the teen transferred back into existence the necessary pot and checked the tiny tree. It grew quite a few of them, several being useful for snacks while three were viable for their more well-known use of curing paralysis. Cameron tucked away the three full-sized berries and popped one of the smaller ones into his mouth as a little snack.

The Wingull swooped down and landed before placing dropping a red and yellow berry into his trainer's hand. Cameron smiled lightly and rubbed the water bird's head with his free hand."Thanks, Legato. I'm sure this one will come in handy,"he said as he planted the berry, then had the pot sent back into storage so the plant could grow without getting jostled around in his bag.

Shortly after Cameron finished putting away the last of the berries and stood up, he noticed a Wurmple that had come around to the area. Legato had noticed, too, and was circling around in front of Cameron."Were you wanting to get some training in, Legato?"the teen asked as he looked away from the Wurmple and over at the Wingull. The water bird let out a loud, shrill caw as his response, both to affirm his trainer's suspicions and to issue a challenge to the Wurmple. The bug Pokemon let out some sounds as if to accept the challenge and reared up to face the bird.
Cameron frowned a bit, then pointed at the red and yellow bug Pokemon."Supersonic! Quickly!"the teen called out before the bug could manage whatever it wanted to do. Legato cawed in affirmation, then let out a warbling wail that set the small bug off-balance. Even with its senses muddled from the noise, the Wurmple tried to fire off a Poison Sting attack. It bobbed to the side and downward just as the needles shot out from its mouth, though, and ended up hitting itself in a rather tender spot with the hair-thin needles.

Cameron nodded a bit as it looked like the bug Pokemon was still reeling from the noise his Wingull made. He then pointed at the Pokemon again while it tried to shake itself out of its daze."Finish it with Water Gun!""Gull!"Legato's caw quickly ended and what came out of his beak next was a strong spray of water. The spray struck the off-balance Wurmple and the bug Pokemon was forced to tumble backwards a few times. Once it finally stopped rolling head over whatever amounted to heels for it the red and yellow Pokemon crawled away, wobbling one way and the other as it made its way into the brush.
