Birch nodded vigorously in response to the girl's question. He was always more than happy to meet another new trainer. "Great choice! I might just have the perfect Treecko for you, too! Hold on~" He exclaimed, then scrambled about his lab to gather up some stuff for the new trainer, albeit a bit haphazardly. There wasn't really much of a difference between the treecko he had in the lab, but he was sure whichever one she got would be just right for the girl. From his armful of potions and pokeballs, a ball dropped. Out of it sprang a treecko, that made a beeline right for the new trainer, examining the chair with wheels that she was in. "Oof- sorry about that! I've got some other supplies for your journey, too! Pokeballs, potions, and of course, your very own pokedex!" He grinned, starting to hand over the items starting with the treecko's ball.

As Birch went to grab the Treecko she requested, Ari reached down and pet Hōpu. The Growlithe had come over and rested his head on her legs. He was so attentive, always making sure she was fine."I'm fine, Hōpu."Birch came rushing back with an armful of potions, balls, and Arceus only knew what else. Her new Treecko escaped from a ball that escaped Birch's arms, and came rushing over to examine her chair. Meanwhile, Hōpu took it upon himself to bring Treecko's ball to her."Thank you, Professor. I'll take good care of Treecko~. Swear! Are you two ready to go?"Hōpu rushed over to the door, barking excitedly, as Treecko - dubbed Sakura - followed Ari curiously as she rolled the chair out of the lab.

Having no memory of her past, and only a journal to go by, the young woman, dubbed Eon, made her journey through Littleroot town. She was told by the people in Sootopolis this would be the place to go on any information regarding the people mentioned in the journal. It had accrued to the girl that the one described in the journal sounded an awfully a lot like herself. From the green hair to green eyes, but, she couldn't really be sure. Green hair wasn't really popular, but until something jogged her memory, the girl had decided on the name Eon to go by.
A small town, her journey was ended when she finally came to the door of the lab. Reaching up she clutched the strap of the bag she'd been given from the couple she'd stayed with during her recovery. Falling from a flying ship in the sky down to a hotspring below could lead for a lengthy recovery. Eon is still beyond thankful she survived a fall like that, with nothing more then a few bruises and a missing memory. In the bag, she currently had the fossil the journal and the useless voice recorder. All things she had no claim too, or so she thought.
After a quick series of deep breaths, Eon finally reached for the door, opening it slowly. Once inside she took a chance to look around before calling for the professor. "Professor.... Birch?" She began, realizing her throat was suddenly dry... why was she so nervous suddenly? Stopping just a few feet from the door, she took in another deep breath. "Umm, I came to ask if you knew anyone by the name Evangeline D. Quinn?" Hopefully he will....

Birch heard his name called and glanced up from his desk. "Coming!!!" He exclaimed, rising from his desk a little too quickly and slamming his knees against the edge. It hurt quite a bit and tipped the desk slightly as well, sending papers and gadgets falling to the floor. Birch yelped and backed away, running around the other side of the desk to pick up his mess, though he slipped on some of the loose papers and fell onto his back with a loud THUD. A few aides made their way over, helping the poor professor up from the ground and cleaning up the disaster area he'd left in his wake. They ushered Birch towards the young lady at the front, insisting they would handle it. Whispering his thanks, Birch finally jogged over to Eon with a smile as if nothing had happened. "Yes young lady! How may I help you?" He greeted merrily in his booming baritone.
At the mention of the name Evangeline Quinn however, Birch looked thoughtful. "Hmm... Evangeline doesn't ring a bell, but I do happen to know the name Quinn. Goodness, every professor does. World famous archeologist, can't say I know him personally, but if anyone would, I'd say you should try Mister Stone. He's in Rustboro City. Do you know how to get there?" Birch asked curiously. "And you're gonna need a pokemon too. You can't go traveling around these parts without one! ....You do have a pokemon right?" He asked with a sheepish chuckle. Sure, now he was embarrassed.

When did this man take a breath? Wow, he was a talker. Eon stared at the professor wide-eyed for a moment. When he finally stopped talking she took a moment to register all he'd just blurted out. "Mister Stone..." The garbled tape had also said something about stone, and Rustboro. "Uh, no, I don't...." she quickly added, shifting her gaze to the side. Adjusting the bag once more she glanced back towards Birch... "I heard you have Treecko, uh, I guess I'm fond of them." That was partially a lie. During her trip from Sootopolis via ship she'd noticed a educational-type show that spoke of the Hoenn starter Pokemon. Treecko stood out to her the most. Mudkip seemed... jolly, and sort of odd. Torchic was to energetic. Treecko seemed like the most level-headed of the three, calm and collect. Subtle hints aside, Eon once more adjusted her bag. 'It's getting heavy again... sheesh they cut nearly half the stone off of it and it's still weighing me down.' Was she a meek person? She didn't feel meek.

Birch paused in his speech to let his words sink in, taking note that the green haired girl seemed to be a little overwhelmed with all of this new information as she slowly repeated the name of the man Birch had advised her to see. "Mhm! That's the one." He nodded gently, though when she mentioned not knowing how to get to Rustborro City, Birch scratched his head a bit. "Alright.... Uh.... Hold on just a moment then." He nodded, pulling out a drawer and digging around until he found a Pokedex. Opening it up, he showed Eon how to navigate to the map function before handing it to her. "So this is where we are, Littleroot Town." Birch pointed to the little "You Are Here" dot hovering over Littleroot. "To get to Rustborro City, you travel up to Oldale Town and take a left, that path will lead you straight to Petalburg, and if you keep going you'll hit Petalburg woods. From there you need to head north, and eventually you'll exit the woods and then hit Rustborro City. Okay?" He asked, checking in with the young lady to see if she was following along. Once she gave the okay, he continued. "Now, Mister Stone is the president of the Devon Corporation. Just ask around town for directions to his building and you'll be just fine." Birch smiled.
Now that Eon had the directions, Birch recalled that she needed a pokemon too. "So, you said that a Treeko tickled your fancy?" Birch chuckled, leading her over to the incubator near the back of the lab before popping it open and retrieving a pokeball from the inside. "Here you are ma'am! You can keep that Pokedex too if you'd like. Oh! And here, these will probably help you too." Birch recalled, opening another drawer filled with potions and empty pokeballs and handing several to Eon. "What did you say your name was again little lady?" Birch asked off handedly, and there was a quiet snort from an amused aide in the distance. He'd handed all this stuff over to Eon and he had yet to get her name. That was a bit backwards, now wasn't it?

The moss-haired girl held a hand to her chin, leaning forward as Birch directed her through the western expanse of Hoenn. She found it rather frustrating that not even this map jogged any sort of memory in her head. She was basically a new born. Fresh memories, all new experiences.. something had to give, eventually. Nodding along she found following the map easy enough. The route he laid out for her was, as far as she could tell, the quickest. She had to get moving quick, the fossil was getting heavier by the minute.
Moving on, Birch finally directed her to the Pokemon. She felt just like she had when she'd first seen a Wingull land on the window of the couples house. The memory of Pokemon had been cleanly swept from her mind, yes... she didn't even remember what a Pokemon was. To see the Treecko in person made her excited, so much so she found herself startled when Birch offered her some Poke balls and Potions... she didn't need all those did she? Well, better safe than sorry. What were they anyway? Common sense escaping her, she refused to ask... figured she'd find out on her own. Was she embarrassed? Maybe. Whatever the case, she accepted the items, adjusting to the added weight of the bag, maybe she could rest in Oldale to get her strength back?
Shifting the bag back over her shoulders, she found some relief with the bag from her left shoulder to her right hip. Hands free, she reached for the Pokebal containing her Treecko, but just as her fingers were but a inch away, the ball burst open. Eon stumbled back, falling to her butt. Now she really was embarrassed. Standing on the edge of the incubator, looking down, was a Treecko, her Treecko. The Gecko seemed.... unamused, or tired.. it was hard to tell. It traveled down the side of the machine, it's suction cup-like toes keeping helping her safely down from the machine. Eon watched as it crawled up her leg then to her shoulder. Quickly Eon checked the bag, feeling for the fossil... it was still in one piece. A sigh of relief crossed her lips as she made to stand back up. "E-eon." The girl replied, looking up at Birch. "Thank you for all your help. I think I'm ready to head out now." Her body lurched forward in an awkward bow. She was surprised at this, showing it slightly on her face. Quickly she turned and grabbed the Treecko's ball. Turning towards Birch once more, this time she simply nodded then headed for the door.
Once outside, the green-haired girl glanced towards her shoulder to find the Treecko staring at her. "What?" She asked. The gecko grinned, glancing away. Did she know something Eon didn't? "Whatever... Uh, hey... On the ship, I, I guess I did sort of make my choice if ever I was given one, to obtain a starter that is...." Eon turned her gaze back towards the path ahead. "How does Saga sound for a nickname? Trainers nickname their Pokemon don't they?" Looking to the Treecko it simply returned a smile to Eon before shrugging. "Fine, Saga it is... I guess it fits a female like you." The gecko's eyes widened, as did Eon's. "Wait... How did I know you're a female?" They both stared at each other for a while. Freaky...

Nis taking leaps and bounds over her brother who refused to rush was singing a cheery tone and she doubled back on herself to meet back up with her brother. she could have been in and out of the lat five times when he finally made it to the doors. She didn't even seem tired considering all the running and such she'd been doing. "Remember Nis, mom said not to take any starter pokemon. So no funny business or im telling." Sin remarked holding the door for her but giving a stern look of disapproval. "Aren't you a little to old to be threatening me like that ? We're not five anymore you know." She replied with shrug and a absentminded wave as she passed him sticking her tongue out and making a face in jest. "Yeah old enough to kick you butt." Sin was the much calmer and level headed of the twins and had little desire to rush or get into things. Where as his sister had no sooner gotten through the door then was picking stuff up and being her generally hyper and inquisitive self. "Hay put that down before you get us in trouble." Sin pleaded "Look here comes the professors hurry." Nis quickly put the object back nd leaped about four feet back to stand next to her brother. but no one was coming. He had lied to get her to listen to him. "Hay no he's not." She barked angreily. "Well it worked to get you off it didn't it." "Your mean." "No your just thick."
Between the twins back and forth nether noticed when the rather portly man did enter the room and when he eventually did speak both jumped back screaming in fright. Nis hide behind her brother shacking while Nis struck a pose as if to fight off an attacker, a not a very intimidating pose ether. Calming down the twins stepped up to the mans table beaming with large smiles and spoke in unisense. Their voices mixing together to create a musical master piece in its own right. Birch had been out in the field when the twins first arrived, looking for his son and getting distracted by a wild poochyena who'd known how to use fire fang. A rare sight indeed, but this unfortunately left the aides to deal with the twin's commotion during their work. Honestly they were just as bad as two miniature Birches. Largely the aides ignored the twins, knowing, or t least hoping, that Birch would be back soon to register them as trainers. Eventually, he did walk through the door, humming a bit of a tune and walking obliviously right past the quarreling twins. Though after he'd taken a few steps passed them, recognition flickered on his face and he turned to them with confusion. "Excuse me," he started, and would have gone on from there if his polite interruption hadn't somehow managed to make the kids just jump right out of their skin. Even Birch was a bit taken aback. Thankfully they soon realized what had happened and calmed down. It was amazing how fast their moods turned around, beaming as they asked to be registered as official trainers. "Ah! I see, well then come right this way you two." Birch smiled back, moving over towards a computer. "And what are your names? Would you like to be registered individually, and get separate trainer IDs, or would you like to both be put on one ID?" Birch inquired, setting the machine up to print. Some trainers who fought only in double battles sometimes like to make it easier and share an ID card since they fought and stayed together all the time. Married couples, for instance.

╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Nis and Sin both sort of looked to one another confused but Sin put to words what they both were thinking. "There's different types of trainer cards?" He asked with a raised brow shrugging to his sister slightly before turning back to the professor to hear his explanation. Nis on the other hand couldn't have cared less and in normal fashion showed it. Ruffling her hair as if she had a terrible itch she couldn't ignore any longer. "Does it matter, just sign me up and give me a Torchic already!" She slammed both hands flat on the table leaning over and locking eyes with the man. Sin sighed and pulled her genitally by the collar of her shirt back from the man as he spoke. "Yeah it matters, I mean there wouldn't be a difference if it didn't." He reasoned. "Besides mom said not to take a starter, i just told you this not even .." Nis interrupted him. "Yeah yeah yeah gotcha. Do individually then. Lets go old man! im getting as old as you over here!" She screamed waving a fist at the professor before her brother could intervene a second time.
Sin put his sister in a head lock covering her mouth and dragging her back again once he had time to mentally register what she was doing. "Sorry, shes easily excitabl... ouch " He flinched letting Nis go as she bite his thumb. Pulling back to now nurse his wound by blowing on it. No blood but she had left a mark. Charging forward before stopping short of the desk before turning to taunt her brother. "Ill excitable my foot up your ..." Something one of the assistants had been working with fell braking and censuring her words. While Sin recovered he shoot Nis a dirty look. "that hurt." He said coming up on her and showing her what she had done. "You should know better by now." As she said lifting his hand up and kissed where she had bitten him. "better ?" She said with a soft smile. Sin grumbled but let the issue go and both turned to the professor and for the first time in the less then three minutes of chaos they had caused were both calm.

Birch was rather taken aback as Nis suddenly barked at him to sign her up and give her a torchic already. Thankfully her twin reigned her in a bit, and insisted that their mom had instructed them not to take a starter. Birch honestly felt rather torn, not sure who's instructions to follow, or not follow, and before he could really come to a decision, the twins were fighting again, but somehow this quarrel finally resolved into a calm at last. Birch sighed in relief, head still spinning a bit from all of this commotion. "O-okay, so that's two individual trainer IDs, but... You still haven't answered my first question. I-I need your names in order to make your cards. If I gave you cards without any identity, they couldn't very well be called ID cards could they?" He grinned, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Also I need you to stand in front of this camera so I can scan your pictures onto your cards." In the meantime, one of the aids brought Birch a few potions and pokeballs to give the two, as well as a pokedex. "Er, they need another poked--" Birch started to whisper, but the aide interrupted him. "We're out of stock, still waiting for the latest shipment." Birch frowned lightly but nodded. The twins seemed to be used to sharing, hopefully this wouldn't be an issue.
As soon as the twins were done giving their names and posing for the camera, Birch printed out their official licenses and handed them over. "Here you are, your official trainer licenses, as well as some supplies for the road.I'm afraid we only have one pokedex at the moment though, but you two will be traveling together correct? It would be rather redundant to have two anyways, since you'll be seeing the same pokemon." He shrugged, blowing the whole thing off like the easygoing man he was.

Turning to look Sin in the eyes she giggled a little pulling on his arm playfully to get him in front of the camera. He seemed highly unamused in the idea of having to have his picture taken but didn't resist or say anything more. Allowing nis to take the charge for a while. "Im Nis Helvion and he's Sin Paridon Nikon." She said cheerfully.
Once the duo had their Trainer ID's and items stuffed into their bags nd with Birch's eplination of only having a single Dex, of which Sin snatched up giving his sister the sting eye, they set off waving good bye to the professor as they left.

Veronica couldn't believe it. It was finally time! She was about to start her journey! Well, after she got her Pokemon from the professor, of course. She couldn't miss that important step. As she traveled to Littleroot Town, Ronna considered her options in a starter. There was Treecko, the grass type gecko Pokemon, which was pretty cool on it's own. Mudkip, the mudfish water type Pokemon, could also be an interesting partner for her. Then there was Torchic, the fire type chick Pokemon. Now that was an adorable Pokemon, and Veronica had always been a sucker for cute things. Would that be the partner for her? She was getting ahead of herself. She still had to get to the lab before she could choose a starter. What if the professor was out of the one she had her heart set on? That would be devastating! Sighing to herself, Ronna decided that she would have to wait and see what would happen. Coming across the lab, the teen knocked eagerly, then opened the door. "Professor Birch? Are you busy? I'd like to get a Pokemon, if I could, but if you're in the middle of something I can come back another day." Hopefully he would have time for her. Otherwise, her adventure was going to have to wait.

Birch sighed with a bit of relief after the twins left the building. They were.... An interesting pair to say the least. He was about to start packing up some equipment to head back out and do some fieldwork, but a knock soon came at his door. He turned, about to mention that the lab was open, but a head soon poked inside, asking for a pokemon. Birch chuckled and made his way over to the girl with a large grin across his face. "Not at all! Come on in, we're not closed." He insisted, beckoning the girl inside. "If it's a pokemon you need, you've come to the right place." He chuckled, motioning for Veronica to follow as he walked through the lab and turned towards a small corridor. "What's your name little lady?" He inquired in a friendly manner as they walked, though he soon stopped beside a room, opening the door and holding it open for her to head inside. "We have three pokemon available for you here, if you didn't know already." He explained, following into the room after her. Inside was a machine that looked something akin to an incubator, but rather than eggs, inside there were three pokeballs nestled in the cushioned fabric within.
Birch pressed a button to open the glass hatch, exposing the three pokeballs within and tapped the first one. "There's Treecko," he began as the wood gecko pokemon revealed itself, then tapped the next pokeball down the line. "Mudkip," he added as the water type appeared next alongside it's grass counterpart. "And finally Torchic." Birch finished as he tapped the last pokeball and let the fire chick out or it's pokeball. "All are great choices in my opinion, but if you have any questions about one of these three in particular, I'd be happy to tell you all about it." Birch offered with a warm smile.
Veronica smiled at the professor. He seemed like a jolly man. She quickly entered the lab fully, following Birch further into room. Thank goodness she made it in time! Not that the travel to Littleroot was difficult, but it wasn't exactly nextdoor to her own town, but it was close enough. It didn't matter though, because she was about to get her very own Pokemon! "My name's Veronica Anderson, from Petelburg City," she replied. He probably didn't know of her or her family. The others were always so quiet and didn't really get out much. Her older brother wasn't much of a Pokemon fan either.
Veronica eagerly watched Professor Birch open the machine that contained the Pokeballs. This was all so exciting! He pressed each of the Pokeballs, releasing the Pokemon within them. First was Treecko, then Mudkip, and lastly, Torchic. They were all so cute, but Torchic seemed the cutest. Plus, she had always liked Fire types. They were, well, fiery! She was kind of fiery, so why not pick a partner just like her? "I think I'll pick Torchic, professor." Ronna grinned widely at the little chicken. What adventures awaited them beyond this lab?

The twins, having been dropped off by their mother, headed straight for the pokemon lab. To be registered as official pokemon trainers. Nis taking leaps and bounds over her brother who refused to rush was singing a cheery tone and she doubled back on herself to meet back up with her brother. she could have been in and out of the lat five times when he finally made it to the doors. She didn't even seem tired considering all the running and such she'd been doing.
