| History Summary |Gabriel was the unlucky recipient of a couple of bad genes in his litter. As if being smaller than his siblings wasn't bad enough, his fur was longer than a proper Abyssinian. Despite the fact that Somalis have become a registered breed, his mother's owner had no use for one and left him in a box on a street corner once he was mostly weaned.
Rather than waiting for something to come along and snatch him up, Gabe managed to get himself out of the box. He ended up finding a porch to hide under, and a kid to take handouts from. So for a while, he was happy.
One day, the child and its parent trapped him and put a collar on him. After dealing with humans once before and after having learned the freedom of living apart from them, Gabriel took the first chance he found and ran away.
He carries his old collar with him as a reminder that humans are not to be trusted.
Rather than keep a territory, since it's too hard, he wanders around to wherever suits him.

Gabriel is a sarcastic cynic who tries to hide his emotional pain behind a trickster's attitude. He's a clever male with a keen eye for motives and natures.
He hates fighting and is something of a coward who would rather hide or use tricks than put himself out in the open in conflict. When openly confronted by someone, he tends to talk big, find little advantages, and puff himself up to seem far more of a threat than he actually is.
Being smaller than his breed typically is, is one of the reasons he's so averse to physical confrontations, or confrontations at all for that matter.
As much as he's a coward, however, he really has a passionate dislike for bullies. Most of the trick he plays are on those he feels has wronged others in one way or another. What little family he has is no exception.
He has always been a flirt with the ladies, but a true romantic at heart. Known to take pleasure where he could, that all stopped when he met a lady he couldn't let go of. He is a doting mate and loves his Kali more than life itself. She and their kittens are probably the only thing in this world he'd truly fight for without hesitation.
