With his back turned, Boss had to look over his shoulder to see the other foal's reaction. That'd teach him to underestimate Boss Revel! But to the bullying colt's annoyance, the pegasus still refused to move. All he did was close his eye and tolerate the sand-kicking as if he wanted to be buried. Dude's nostril flare went unnoticed by the egotistical Earth phony who seemed to be reading the situation wrong.
Just then there was a splash and Boss' head whipped forward, ceasing in his kicks. "Who said that?" he demanded, though the speaker had already revealed themselves as a small green figure splashing water onto the shore. Boss' eyes widened.
"A merphony," he breathed, hardly seeming to register the filly's words if at all. But then his eyes clouded with doubt. Even as the second foal showed up in the water, Boss knew he couldn't be sure these were just normal phonies taking a swim. He couldn't see their lower halves, after all.
"What would you know about it? Mind yer own business!" he called to the pair in the water.Ruriska ((I'm sorry! XP Boss is a butt. A very big butt.))

Just as quickly as she became bold, she closed back into her shyness, cowering under the water with just her eye over the water. She lifted her tail up above the waves a few times, revealing she was in fact a merphony. Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all.
No! She had a good idea! This colt was just being really mean, which was not a good thing! All that pegasus had done was sit on the beach to try and enjoy the sun. This earth phony didn't own the beach, so he couldn't tell the other what to do!
"You are wrong! It is a part of my business. You are being mean to this other phony, who just wants to lay in the sun. There is nothing wrong with that. Then you demanded they moved, and when he refused you tried to bury them! How can I just watch all this and not do anything?"

There was no telling where Dude Food's growing anger would have led but it was probably for the best that the green swimmer popped her head out of the water to interject. He calmed instantly, actually levering himself up so he could get a look at his champion and also take the opportunity to rub sand from around his eyes. "It's quite alright," he called, not wanting anyone else to face the nasty colt, "I can handle it. But thank you for your concern." Kitomyx No, it's good. xD I want someone who can push him that far.

Wave Watcher noticed the little green mer cower in and out of the waters as she spoke to the dark colt on land. "With a bad temper like that, I bet he's extremely spoiled by his parents," he told her.
At that moment, he pressed a button near his hoof and the hoverboard instantly sprawled out in front of him floating on the water line like a shiny new toy. "Haha! Awesome! Time to test this baby out!" He swam back a little to gain some space and jumped out of the water and onto the special product.
The next thing Wave Watcher did was steer the hoverboad out of the water and was headed straight toward the chubby one that hasn't moved from his towel since he first saw him. "Yahoo!"

Glaring, Boss was about to give the green filly a piece of his mind regarding what 'being mean' actually meant. She thought that was mean? He would show her mean. Who did she think she was, meddling when she didn't even understand why he wanted the pegasus off the beach? He didn't seem to notice or care about the tail she displayed, perhaps believing it to be some sort of trick or a different fish beside her.
Before he could so much as open his mouth, however, said pegasus' voice responded, drawing the earth foal's attention back to him. What he said only served to annoy Boss more. "Thank you for your concerrrn," he mocked in a false, sing-songy tone. "You think you're all high an' mighty, actin' like an adult?"
But then another voice caught Boss' swerving ear. He almost ignored it before something emerged from the water and caused him to turn. The dark colt's green eyes widened in astonishment and his jaw dropped as a mercolt jet out of the water on a hoverboard, his whole merphony body visible. Blinking, he froze, half-wondering if the mer's objective was to ram his craft straight into the pegasus.

"You have a hover board Wave? No fair!" Holly couldn't help but chuckle, jumping out of the water in excitement. Her whole body was then revealed to be of a merphony as well! However, this was not the time for fun. It was time to take action against this other colts actions.
After seeing her new friend near the pegasus, she decided to speak up against the bully ", and what makes it so you know what adult matters are? We are all little phonies. Not adults. I have been watching the whole time. I was even here before you showed up. I have been here the whole time. I know what happened, and I don't like how you did the situation. Sand in the eyes hurts!"

"No, I think I’m polite," Dude Food replied tartly. Customer service was one of mothers favourite study topics and she had made it clear to all her children that managing people was often the best away to achieve success, whether in business or personal life. Except this foal was making it exceedingly difficult. It was a testament to just how slow he could be to react and how stubbornly he would stay in one spot, that when the Merphony zoomed towards him on his hoverboard, Dude Food didn’t so much as blink. It was if he was made of stone, waiting for either the impact or a change of direction. [Sorry for the wait. ;o;]
