NovariamFantasy's Scholar "Other then the blade I wield, I hold a storm gauntlet. It was used by my old master who has passed away a few months. Other then that, I would have to say I have myself. Even with the form you see now, this is not my true form." as he took a few leaps back, he began to shower in lightning. Slowly but ripping apart his appearance he became a majestic dragon in the sky, hovering from above Mel he came slightly over and laid beside her. "I know where the forest of faeries are, it will take less of a trip if we fly their. But I will need you to watch my stomach, dragons stomach are not that tough to propel magical or physical attacks. But with my swiftness I should be able to avoid them until we reach our check point." as Nova waited for Mel to mount on his back. Thinking about what she said about the darkness, it was true and since she came along this might give him a chance to see something. Their have been rumors of old perished heroes being resurrected. Master....

『 Okay, this p***k was getting on her nerves. Kat was used to people not liking her. In fact, she reveled in the idea of pissing people off. But Mahzar wasn't pissed off, nor did he have any sort of fun reaction to her jibes. Instead he had a quiet, controlled loathing and spoke as if she weren't fit to lick his boot. His nonchalance got on her nerves.
"Listen here a*****e" Kat closed the gap between the two of them, poking ht much bigger man right in the chest to make her point "You need to get off your high horse before I knock you right off of it. I don't care who you were when you were alive, you aren't s**t anymore. I don't like you and you obviously don't like me, but if you're going to go around acting all noble and proper all the time then we certainly won't 'do just fine' got it?" she told him. No way in hell was this guy just going to brush her off. She'd been her twelve god damn hours! She at least deserved some sort of reaction from this formal stick in the mud.
Unlike Mahzar...Kat never exactly learned how to hold onto her sanity. A lot of her negatives and positives were mixed up. That's why she enjoyed violence and mayhem as much as she did. Why it seemed like messing with others and starting conflict was just a game. It was flipped the other way as well in the fact that she never enjoyed gentle or kind touches. A hug may earn you a strike from her and concern was met with hostility because 'she wasn't weak'. Monotone and nonchalance confused her, which in turn made her angry. She didn't know what to do with it, it was neither bad nor good and while most people could pass such a thing off, she couldn't, she needed a reaction she could deal with head on. Hence the need to start something with this man she was supposed to be allied with.
Koumori fluttered just above her right shoulder, it's one fiery eye gazing at Mahzar suspiciously. It knew it's mistress liked to push peoples buttons, and though it wasn't built for combat, it was prepared to take any hit to protect it's creator. 』 ((so sorry about the wait guys! I haven't had wifi for the past few days. I didn't inform anyone beforehand because I was staying at a hotel and expected free wifi...there was super expensive wifi and I'm poor sooo here we are))

Mahzar Falconsteel, Haunted Lover of the Lost "My love, my love, my love..." Mahzar paused for a moment as the woman poked at his breastplate. He was simply staring at the finger as she spoke. Once she was done Mahzar looked at her in the eye. It wasn't threatening, nor was it annoyed. In fact above all other emotions, it was amusement and then sadness. The briefest of smiles played at his lips and then it faded. Slowly, he reached one hand up and took the finger that was pointed at him, and slid it across and off his breastplate. "I am from an age long gone, the rust shows me this. Underneath this hull of metal is a broken vessel, decrepid, rotted, faded away. My memories are clouded, lost. It does not matter who I was in the past. Any horse you might see is simply a figment of imagination, for I have already fallen from what I once was. Just remember, what you see now is but a shadow of what I once was. What I should have been. If you had met me a thousand years before this, I think you and I could've gotten along. Now before we have further arguments, let us continue on our way, I have no more energy to spare on this useless endeavor of a conversation."Mahzar then side stepped the smaller person and walked forward, kneeling at the fresh tracks left by Kat and then pacing back to the rock to look at the tracks she had left before. They were difficult to make out, but soon, he figured which way it was that he needed to go. Slowly but surely, Mahzar disappeared into the very abundant treeline, only pausing for a moment to look back to see if Kat was following or not. After all she said something about going back to some place that she knew of after she had retrieved him. 'Maria...' He thought, the name coming to him after a moment. 'Yes... That was her name, Maria... Maria what? That is important to know... I assume I will remember sooner or later.'"...Come back to me my love..." [[OOC:]]

Peaceful, tranquil, beautiful, words to describe our world.. ☯ "A storm gauntlet?" Mel was a bit surprised that Nova wielded such a gauntlet. As a water nymph, she knew much about the storm gauntlet, she'd never actually seen one in action though. As the man proceeded his quest to convince her that he could fight for himself he started to shift until he took the form of a gigantic white armored dragon. Mel stared up at the creature before it hovered down to lay next to her. She was surprised when he could still speak in this form and found a smirk crossing her lips as the voice was exactly the same. He shifted into a fearsome dragon yet kept the same voice of the blonde male.
☯ As Nova mentioned flying to the forest Mel bit her lip. She looked at the ground. She was a nymph...nymphs came from nature. And though there were rumors, there was no such thing as an air/sky nymph. They were in their habitat while on the ground. "Fly...As in in the sky...Okay...Yeah...Sure" she seemed to be trying to convince herself more than confirming what they were going to do. Mel found herself awkwardly climbing onto nova's back, holding on to one of the armored plates tightly. She was staring at the ground, already squeamish about not having contact with it. "Just...Don't go too fast...Or do anything too reckless...Or let me fall" she muttered with a bit of fear in her voice. It was sad how her confident tough demeanor could be breached by the thought of flying. But it was such an unknown that it made her nervous.
☯ As the two started to lift off of the ground, Mel clung to the metal plate as tightly as she could. She closed her eyes, knowing that she may chicken out and jump for the ground before they got too high if she didn't. Once they were in the air she opened on eye, and then the other. It was actually...Kind've peaceful. Mel looked at the clouds and smiled, knowing they consisted of water, at least she wasn't completely out of her element. "Oh!" a thought popped into Mel's head. "We need to make a stop on the way there. I know somebody who can help us...If he's there" Mel started glancing around at the ground, big mistake. She gulped and tightened her grip to the point she was sure to get cramps in her hands. "Look for a house...Or what's left of one. It'll be burned down and just outside one of the towns close to the forest" she told him, repressed sadness leaking into her voice.
..Until the sky broke like a mere egg and the water...Caught fire.

Ichi Darksteel, Prince of Darkness "Through the Madness I see Clarity" Ichi was not one to be lightly trifled with. A darkness was rising and he was the prince. His kind was the original creator of the darkness. Well...almost his kind. He was born from a long line of Darkin. The original Darkin were much stronger and more powerful then the Darkin now. Rather then them creating darkness, darkness was creating it. But Ichi had grown to find out that he was the Prince, soon to be king. The Darkin king had been slaughtered in hunt. Ichi was now out searching for the famed Darksteel Ring. It's been said that it holds massive power and grants that power onto the bearer. The stronger the bearer, the more power it gives. The king was a massive powerhouse, but Darkin were so low in numbers as it was, they could not withstand an army when caught off guard.
Ichi found himself wandering back to his original home. One of the first Darkin in 100 centuries to care for someone other then himself. He spat onto the ground, his hands in his pocket and his cloak swaying lightly in the breeze. His hood was pulled up and he was shrouded in darkness, blending into the shadows. He didn't want to be noticed. It would take someone with exceptional eyes to even notice the disfigurement in the area he was standing to know he was their. Of course, other senses could pick him up, but even now the scent of ash and despair was in the wind. His home had been burned down and his parents ripped apart in front of him. Ichi closed his eyes remembered that day again.
He had been out gathering firewood at the time. When he noticed smoke in the air he had come running. Soldiers surrounded in darkness were torching the house. He heard a scream and turned towards his parents, just as their heads had been ripped from their bodies. A scream like no other echoed from his body then. He used his massive power over the darkness itself to rip them into oblivion. Their blood covered the ground. He lost all sense of who he was that day for quite some time.

Alister laughed loudly as he was drinking inside of a bar. There were multiple empty bottles of beer in front of him. "Bartender! Another one!" he shouted with much enthusiasm. The bartender shook his head. "Look pal, you drank way too much. Your gonna drink yourself to death." he said with a bit of worry. Alister laughed again. "Come on, I don't even feel buzzed! Another beer!" he again shouted. The bartender sighed again. "Alright." he said with self doubt as he gave Alister another beer. "Thank you!" he said again as he guzzled down the bottle of beer that was given too him.
After a few more minutes, Alister decided to finally leave the bar. "Thanks again bartender! I'll be back again tomorrow!" he shouted as he left the bar. He walked down the road whistling when he heard a rather weird sound. He looked behind him as a rather weird looking creature showed up behind him. It was big and pure black, almost as if it looked like a shadow. It towered over him, staring down at him. "Wow your an ugly one." He said as the creature tried to attack, only to have him block. He smiled. "Come on, your gonna have to do better than that." he said as he shoved him off and tried to make off for the forest, not wanting to cause any major damage in the town. He was fortunate that the creature was chasing him, but wasn't sure why. After a while, Alister stopped and looked at the creature. A wicked smirk on his face. "Bring it on!" he shouted, echoing through the forest.((Sorry I wasn't aware that we started. I wasn't quoted. I'm just gonna end where everyone is at that way we can get together. I work tomorrow and dunno when i'll be back on so please bear with me xP))

『 Again, Kat didn't really know how to deal with this guy. She listened to his speech. How he said they may have gotten along years ago, yet wasn't saying that he hated her. Once again it was passive aggressive, she didn't know what to do with it. Kat stood miraculously silent for a moment as the reanimated man looked at her tracks and started following them back towards the way she came. That snapped the woman out of it.
"Hey!" Koumori flew up in front of the man's face, flapping it's wings sparatically and causing the man to halt. Katherine walked up to him then. "That may be the way we came but that's not how we're getting back. You're too recognizable right now. We don't need three towns worth of suspicious people on our tails...I wouldn't mind blowing up a town or two...But three is just too much work" she complained. "We will be traveling more discretely thank you" Kat crossed her arms, there was a slight rumbling as the ground began to shake. The next moment a large redish brown boulder flew up through the ground, breaking it and falling a few meters away. This rock looked nothing like any sort of normal rock, but did seem to match whatever it was Koumori was made of. This was ether, the element that Kat controlled.
Walking up to the hole in the ground, Kat started to climb inside, it was a slight drop before leading into a tunnel. The place was pitch black...Darker than it seemed possible. Then Koumori flew in, it's blazing eye acting as a lantern along with the soft glow of the tattoo on the back of Katherine's neck (a symbol of Koumori's power). Katherine started walking before turning to Mahzar. "Better hurry. I gotta close this puppy up behind us and I don't like to wait" she warned. It seemed for a moment that she was more sane, when she was in her element she always felt calmer. She didn't have as much of a lust for arguing with the 'zombie' she'd just recruited, hence her refraining from throwing out insults. The woman sighed, taking a deep breath and letting the rock's dust fill her lungs. "We wouldn't want to keep it waiting anyway" she muttered before walking forward in the tunnel. 』

Peaceful, tranquil, beautiful, words to describe our world.. ☯ A familiar smoldering house finally came into sight as the two flew. Mel bit her lip, it was a sad sight to see. Even now she didn't like to think about what happened. It was no surprised what had happened to him, to Ichi. Mel wondered if he'd regained his sanity, if he'd even come back here, or if this was a wild goose chase. "Land there" Melanie instructed Nova. The great dragon swooped down in a dive, causing Mel to bite back a small scream and duck down. When they hit the ground she glared at the dragon "A little slower next time" she told him. Nova didn't seem too concerned with her fear as he informed her he had a matter to attend to. No other details. No nothing, he showed a seriousness he'd never let on to before. "Wait, but what if-" the dragon took off into the air again, much faster than when she'd been riding. He was out of earshot in seconds "What if he isn't here..." Mel mumbled.
☯ Of course, she gets somebody to help her cause and he leaves. Melanie let out a long sigh before turning to the rubble. Her eyes saddened as she looked at the soot stained beams, crumbled from the damage. Mel reached out and touched a brick, ash immediately clinging to her fingers. The fire had been so intense, not even brick could escape it's torment. "Ichi..." Mel mumbled, feeling sympathy for her friend. He, like her, had lost everything. Melanie was the only one of the group that had understood his reaction, his madness. Him being what he was, having everything ripped away like that...He had no way of coping. She'd had to leave him with his insanity, before he turned on his comrades as well.
☯ Looking around the area Melanie saw nothing. But something told her she wasn't alone. If Ichi had remained as insane as he was when they'd left him...He certainly wouldn't abandon his home, she would've been attacked as soon as she touched it. Honestly though, Mel couldn't see the man up and leaving his home even if he regained part of himself. If she'd been given the option to stay, she probably would've. If she hadn't known she could take revenge, she would've stayed at the lake until she herself died. But that was why she was confident in recruiting her old comrade, he would want justice just as well. If not..More, his wounds were fresher. "Ichi" Melanie called in a louder voice. He just had to be around her. Was she really so wrong about how he'd react? She thought she knew him fairly well. If he wasn't here, then she detoured herself and became half stranded for nothing.
..Until the sky broke like a mere egg and the water...Caught fire.

Ichi Darksteel, Prince of Darkness "Through the Madness I see Clarity" Staying within the shadows, Ichi had his eyes closed. He was remembering that night when he hear wing flaps in the distance. It was something large, that was easily recognizable. Most likely powerful as well. He opened his eyes and looked to the sky. His enhanced vision allowed him to see the giant dragon flying straight towards his home. His eyes narrowed and he coveted his power so nothing would leak out and he wouldn't be so easily tracked. He pulled some hair from his eyes and walked out from behind the building, still lurking in the shadows, hidden from the world.
The dragon landed and a slightly built girl with black hair, silver eyes, and a confident stride in her gait. She looked like she was talking to the dragon when it suddenly flew off, leaving her there talking to herself. He showed no emotion at this fact. When the girl walked over, sadness seemed to overcome her. He didn't see why, but he looked at her closely. Why did he recognize her? He didn't want to take chances. He had some questions for her. He walked forward as she called out his name, causing him to stop in his tracks. He cocked his head to the side and his face became bewilderment. But how? How did she know his name and where to find him?
He had the darkness around her feet slowly begin to melt. She wouldn't notice herself sinking into the ground because it was a slow motion. But he needed to keep her distracted long enough for it to take effect. It was a slow sink though. Enough that over time the darkness would hold her firmly, but slow enough to where they wouldn't notice the descent until it was too late. He waved his hand in front of him, dispersing his shield of shadow and black inkness. "Who are you? How do you know my name?"

Mahzar Falconsteel, Haunted Lover of the Lost "My love, my love, my love..." Mahzar looked back and watched as the woman decided to stop him. He would admit that he stood out. Then the tunnel was created after the rumble. She didn't even need to tell him. he understood the implications of what a tunnel were for. He simply shrugged his shoulders and hopped down into the tunnel, falling to one knee as his heavy armor rustled about from the jump. After a moment he stood back up and looked in the darkness. Well what he could see inside of it. Mahzar finally sheathed his sword into its proper location and smiled in the darkness, it was more comfortable here than in the light. The coolness of the earth he could feel around him, like being held by a loved one after a long time of waiting. Perhaps it was because his body knew it was already dead and wanted to rest. Mahzar didn't even notice that she was calmer. After a moment of pause from her they started to move forward. Mahzar didn't have room to complain. He just hoped the darkness had an army to lead. If they had to go recruit he didn't know how long he would have to work. He tapped the small flute at his side. He would play the song once he was in a settled place, to create a home and atmosphere more suiting for his body. "Your abilities. How did you come to gain them?" He asked as they walked further into the darkness. He might as well learn a small amount of his new companion. Despite their initial hostility he had a hunch that the two of them would be working a lot with each other in the future, even if they didn't like it. "...Come back to me my love..." [[OOC:]]

Peaceful, tranquil, beautiful, words to describe our world.. ☯ "Damn it" Melanie muttered under her breath, believing herself to be alone. He wasn't here. Was she really so wrong? Now she was miles away from the faerie's forest. It would take her until nightfall to get there. "Who are you? How do you know my name?" Melanie jumped, turning to the right to see a familiar face. It was funny. He looked familiar yet different. There was no amused or happy glint in his deep red eyes like there used to be, his hair had grown longer -though that was a given- and the clothing he wore was dark and certainly symbolized his power. The look on his face was serious and suspicious as he stared her down. Just after finishing her little assessment of her old...Would she call him a friend? Certainly a comrade, she guessed they were quite close to being friends...didn't recognize her.
☯ "Who am I? Don't you-" Melanie paused. If she tried to get him to remember her would it be too closely associated with the death of his family. The last thing she wanted was for him to have another meltdown. He seemed darker, more powerful than before, but he didn't seem crazy. "My name is Melanie" she stated simply "I know your name because we've met before." She kept it vague, wondering if he'd accept her reply as an answer. It was really great to see a familiar face, even if it had changed since the last she'd seen him. Mel went to take a step forward, to try to talk to Ichi about her current little quest. That's when she realized she couldn't move.
☯ Melanie looked down at her feet to see that she was ankle deep in the earth. Whisps of darkness twisted around her ankles. Funny, she couldn't even see them going down, it must've been a progressively slow drag downwards especially since she didn't notice it. Mel looked back up at Ichi, most would have panicked but she'd seen Ichi do this before. Though, it hadn't been this well done, he'd simply dragged people to get stuck and they always noticed. He'd certainly honed his skills. Seeing as he hadn't done just that and sent her neck deep into the Earth, she figured Ichi didn't see her as a threat, which was good. Though she was armed, she had no intention of using her weapons or abilities. "You probably don't remember me. And I doubt you wish to idly chat. To get to the point, I have a proposition for you that you'll find difficult to refuse." she told him, using some of the same words she had when she'd recruited him long ago "But first I have to trust you aren't going to harm me. Please let me up, I'll relinquish my weapons if it will convince you."

Ichi Darksteel, Prince of Darkness "Through the Madness I see Clarity" Ichi narrowed his eyes as she begun to speak. He had met her before? But...no. He tok a deep breath and pulled the skull off of his belt and put the five fingertips at the top. Speaking in a faint voice in the Darkin language. The skull begun to glow. Covered in etched runes set there by Ichi himself from long ago. Suddenly memories flooded back into his mind, but like a floodgate they were suddenly shut off and he remembered who this girl was. He used this particular artifact to keep himself sane. It locked away some of his more vulgar memories and training to keep him as sane as he is now. He also locked a good majority of his power inside this skull as well as the rings underneath his gloves and the second skull on his belt. He placed the skull on his left side back and retrieved the second from his right side and spoke in the Darkin language again.
The skull emitted a few dark tendrils that ran into Ichi's nose, causing him to shudder slightly. He gave himself some more of his locked power to possibly give himself an edge he might need. He remember Melanie now. One of the few people who had helped him in his time of need and seen him in his truly insane state. He opened his eyes, his eyes glowing a bright crimson red. He looked over to her and snapped his fingers. The darkness began to lift her up until she was once again on solid earth, the darkness gone around her completely.
"Yes, I remember you now. Melanie is it? What is it you wish of me? My time to me is valuable and I have little to spare on others. But seeing as you are a special case, I won't just leave. So I ask you get straight to the point and try not to run me around. I don't like wasting my time on trivial matters. So speak." He leaned against a tree and propped his left foot on the tree and his arms folded across his chest.

(OOC: I'm finally back. ^-^ sorry for not being On.) After taking flight, and leaving Mel. Nova sought out a cabin a few acres away from where he landed. There seemed to be a crisis around that area, it was the very place where the destination of others were transported to this world. But it hasn't been used for a couple of years since the last war. Thinking to himself as he started to feel the wind between his wings, he began to dive down and swoop as he transformed back to his human form. Brushing off the twigs and dust from his coat and uniform he began to look around for any type of clues that might still be there from ancient times. "Whose there?" as he took his blade and quickly unsheathed it he wielded it as a defense tactic. A sudden rustle from the bushes a group of mercenaries came out to greet the young man. From the way they were dressing they seemed to be a raid group, just getting ready to set out on there mission to fight back the dark minions. But from the way they were walking over to him, they didn't seem to want to fight, instead they wanted to talk. "You must be Nova? we were told to find you." as the young woman slowly brushed her locks back behind her head. "You are needed, you will come yes?" as another spoke with a noble tongue. "You sure this guy is Nova? He could be a double we should probably kill him to make sure." as another sat on a tree branch slowly twiddling with her knives. "I'm sure this is the man, you can't find any ancient dragons like this one to suddenly swoop and transformed in an instant like that, he must have skills to pull that off." as one sat near an ancient mechanism. Nova sighed and slowly sheathed his blade. "Just as the man said, I am Nova commander you are probably looking for, but I do not have the time to squabble. I must find the book of dimension." suddenly realizing what he said, he kept his distance. Crap, I gone and did it... what should I do now.
