Class: Expert Dovaa
Location: Just outside the Misty Inn
Interacting with: Shenra sorta and Rain

Since Esmeralda had been slowly but surely been removing herself from the Celestial Plane to settle herself on a remote island by herself she hadn’t been out into the world much. Rumors of a new creature had slithered their way to her ear when she’d gone back to the Plane’s merchants for some items and she’d been curious. At first she thought she simply ought to let it be, she didn’t want to keep adventuring after so any years chasing after dragons right? Still, the knowledge called to her and she was curious… Maybe just a peak couldn’t hurt after all.

The Dovaa’s first stop was Misty Inn. She was older now and camping out didn’t exactly seem like a cup of tea especially out here. As she approached the Inn she noticed another Dovaa who had asked thin air if this place was Misty Inn. Esmeralda quirked her brow and moved next to him. “Are you lost?”

Shenra
Location: Outside The Misty Inn
Class: 8yrs old-ish Orderite engineer/tinker
Activity: Exploring!
Interaction: Rain

Shenra hopped off the couch she had shared with her father and opened the door. She already had her outdoor things on since the inn was so cold, so she just went out.

She breathed in deeply the crisp air and felt it fill her body. It was fun to be out!

But Shenra was immediately distracted on her exploration from a shout below her.

"Hi!" Shenra called and waved to the new person. "Yes, this is the Misty Inn!"

She bent closer and saw horns on the person's head. Her ears twitched in delight as she thought he might be a Dovva. She had seen them before, but had never met one!

Shenra hurried down towards the person and stopped right in front of them smiling. He seemed to be older than her by a few years, and caried a wepon. Perhaps he was up here to hunt? There were lots of people here for hunting her father had said. He said he was here to hunt for knowledge, so he was a hunter in a way too.

"Hello! I'm Shenra!" she said beaming up at him, "If you are looking for the Inn, it's up there." she pointed up, "It's not much, and cold, but it's the only place for miles if you can't camp out."

"My Pa and I are here to look at the ruins and try to see some of those new animals the hunters are talking about." Shenra said placing her hands behind her and smiling up at the Dovva boy, "But we just got here so we are going out tomorrow at first light!"

Shenra then saw another person approch and smiled. Today was going to be a great day to meet friends!

"Hello!" Shenra said again happily.

Red wasn't chickening out. She totally wasn't. She was just... going to find other people to climb with! Right! Witnesses! Exactly. Just that.

She trod over to the inn, expertly navigating the treacherous terrain with the grace of someone Ayr-raised, slowing as she came across a group of people: two dovaa and one orderite. Their races meant nothing to the wild dovaa, just that she knew one – wasn't that the pretty Dovaa lady she'd met on the stopover? Yes it was. Shame she was one of them civilized folk. And some kinda scholar-thing to boot. And a lot older than Red.

Oh well. It was a waste of a pretty face but Red wasn't about to lecture some grown up about anything. They didn't listen, stupid bastards.

“Hey. You all.” she greeted the group gruffly, “What are you doin'? You all lost?” she looked them over. The kids were probably also civilized folk, and not worth her time, but... well... She had wanted people to show off to.

“Hey.” she said, “Any of you wanna climb a spire?”

"Hello!!!" Shenra called out to the two new comers, "This is the Misty Inn!" She pointed up, "It's not much, but it's a roof over your head!" She turned to the one wild looking Dovva and said, "What? Climbing?" Shenra placed a finger in her mouth thinking. Her Pa wouldn't like that, but it depended on how tall it was and how long she would be gone... "I'll go to watch if it's too tall!!! I might climb a bit!"

Location: At the very base of the spires below Everwinter Plateau, sitting at campfire.
        Class/Clan: Peisio Dovaa (Expert)
        Activity: Talking with Casseth.
        Interacting With: Casseth.

“It does…” Lithian murmured, lashes sinking shut as he dipped forward and leaned into the kiss. The juxtapose of crisp, icy air and the heat of Cas’ lips sent a pleasant shiver through him, a warm flush creeping up his neck and onto his cheeks. Then, the moment was over — Casseth pulling way and a frigid breeze dancing between them. His eyes trailed Cas, distracted for a brief period before he shook himself out of it and smiled. “Yes, yes, alright, you tease…camp.”

They worked together on it, unburdening their mounts and then setting up a thick, sturdy tent and a small fire. Ayr was, fortunately, not lacking entirely in plant life, and wood for it was not too difficult to find, even in the winter chill. So, some hour or so later, they had a solid shelter, a guarded fire, and furs laid out inside the safety of their tent. After a simple but suitable meal, Lithian settled beside Casseth at the fire’s edge, eyes only half watching the flames as he propped his chin on his lover’s shoulder.

“After we explore here…were you wanting to travel south, also? See if we can find the Doryus and spot one of the great canines down there…we never did catch you that baowi you wanted. We could try for an ikri.” He leaned over and lifted his chin a fraction, brushing his lips lightly along Cas’ jawline and smiling. “You’d look grand on a beast that large, I think.”

Casseth’s body shuddered under Lith’s kisses and he couldn’t help but let his mind wander to things that did not involve wild beasts and riding on the backs of them. He closed his eyes and turned his head to capture Lith’s lips with his. He nipped lightly, tugging his bottom lip before pulling away. “Those sound like wonderful plans.” He paused, eyebrow quirking up. “For tomorrow.” His hands found their way back into Lith’s cloak, fingers trailing down Lith’s chest and over to his waist. He gripped, tugging him over to him, so that Lith was straddling his lap. “Tonight…” One of Cas’ hands came up behind Lith’s head, fingers tangling in the hair at his nape and tugging him down for a quick, hungry kiss. “...we figure out how we’ll stay warm in that tent.”

Just then a voice caught Rain by surprise. It was coming form behind him? He turned to see what appeared to be an older dovaa woman. Though he thought most adults failed to understand him, this was no reason he couldn’t at least try to be courteous. Maybe she was an adventurer like himself. But before Rain could ponder any longer, he realized he was probably being rude by not answering her question. He better get on that. “Oh am I lost? Well not exactly. I just found the Inn I was looking for so I could drop of some things before going exploring. That was my initial plan.” He smiled and bowed once more, this time to Esmeralda.

“My name is Ranier. But you can call me Rain.”

So the young Orderite was Shenra? And what was the older dovaa’s name? He was about to ask when another dovaa appeared and asked if he wanted to climb a spire. There sure were a lot of people here.

When Shenra agreed to tag along to watch, Rain decided he had better go to, just to keep an eye on them. After all one was younger than himself, and climbing a spire sounded dangerous. “I’ll come too, if you don’t mind. I’ve been wanting to see the sights.”

        Detraeus
        Location: Merchant Stall
        Class: Oblivionite Archer (Expert)
Activity: Investigating the area; talking with Malta.
        Interacting With: Malta

Detraeus wound his way through the crowds — ‘crowds’ being a relative term, even now. The area was significantly busier than it ever was before, certainly, but it hardly compared to, for example, Taliuma even on a slow day. Nonetheless, the denser-than-normal current of strangers set his nerves on edge, the spines of his tail rippling warily as he made it into more well-trampled snow around an area that looked to be set up for business, of all things.

As a particularly biting breeze cut its way over the snow, Detraeus pulled his thickly-lined cloak tighter about his long ears and shifted Avarice’s position at his back, ‘trigger happy’ fingers lingering close to his easiest-to-access concealed knives on instinct. When his name was called, he nearly drew them, stopping only when — a half moment later — it registered who the voice belonged to. He let his hands fall to his sides and approached, an expression almost warm enough to be classified as a smile crossing his features. Briefly.

“Malta,” he greeted. “You look…” His gaze flit down over her, brow furrowing in puzzlement as the full effect of her attire sank in. It looked as though something had attempted to fashion her winter clothes, but in the end simply fastened a thick stretch of animal fur over her back as effectively as possible. It made for a fairly bizarre-looking result, to be honest. He cleared his throat. “Cold,” he said. “You look cold. Are you well?”

Company: Keke, a oh is that an Orderite?!?

Nehelini smiled at the Orderite as he stood with the pup in his arms; “Nehelini Parodiam. Asikala Dovaa. Its a pleasure ma'am.” he glanced to Keke as he heard the female's name. Out of ploite respect the young male would keep his manners and await for the female to offer her name in return. He smiled down at his new Pup, “What shall I name you hmmm? I suppose I could wait a tad longer till I get to know you better...” he cooed.

The Pup was perfectly relaxed in the male's arms, Nehelini took out more jerky and looked up at Keke. He placed a few large pieces in front of the young one; “My thanks for helping me Keke.” He then set the Pup on its feet taking out a biscuit, “Now then...you get one biscuit for every 30 feet we go into the forest and you stay by me.” he talked as if the Pup understood him. Wheither it did or not had yet to be seen as Nehelini rose. He didn't break eye contact with the pup as he spoke to the other two, “The pup and I will tag along with you Keke. You did say you wanted to take a Pup back to your sister. But to keep it varied...I say lets go in a different direction than the way we traveled. Lower the risk of the Pup getting spotted and we all get in trouble with the Alpha.”

He smiled at the Pup then grateful the little one was sitting properly as if waiting for the signal to move. Nehelini figured that it was because he hadn't broken eye contact just yet and later he would work on basic commands. Right now...he was glad he had on. Even if it was nearly up to his elbow in height.

Lithian drew a sharp breath upon being lifted, cooperating to move with Casseth’s guiding hands until he was straddled across his lap, at which point warmth climbed up into his cheeks — in time with an equally warm, amused (and inviting) smile. “Oh?” he said, feigning innocence. “That does sound like a plan, though…I’m wondering what you might possibly have in mind…”

At Casseth’s grunt, n**, and the pull of his guiding hands, however, Lithian laughed and conceded to his tug, following him into said tent and happily pulling it shut so that the space was all their own. Warm. Private. And very busily occupied.

They did not leave it until the following morning.

Even on waking, however — early as per his usual habit — Lithian lingered for some time in the shelter of the tent, tucked beneath a healthy layering of furs and tangled in Casseth’s embrace. He nested his face in close, kissing the crown of his lover’s forehead and then drawing his hand up his side.

“In a mood to rise early, love?” he murmured, a soft smile playing at the corners of his lips. “The day is waiting…as is our grand ‘adventure’ in the making.”

Casseth shuddered, sleep interrupted by Lithian’s touch, and blinked to force his eyes open. Even then, they were only halfway up before he turned to glance at Lithian. Before he could even get one word out a giant yawn overtook him. “Mmm...morning already?” He paused long enough to capture Lith’s lips for a quick kiss.

“Are you sure it’s time to get up already?” Cas asked as he pulled back from Lith, a small smile tugging up the corners of his lips. No matter how long they had lived together, Cas never had become an early riser. There were a few occasions where he rose early enough to greet the sun but they were far and few between and were only made tolerable because of the man he woke up next to.

Cas’ fingers danced down Lithian’s bare arm, stopping to lace his fingers with Lith’s. “Adventure, hmm? It has been a while, hasn’t it?” He chuckled lightly. “I suppose I could concede to an early morning.”

The Dovaa regarded the young Orderite with a quirk of her brow. So young and out in the world. “Hello.” She said softly, offering the girl a small wave with a smile. She only turned to face Red because she knew the voice since they’d met before. “None of us are lost.” She confirmed quietly, Esme still didn’t understand the wild child Red was. They’d met on the island and it had been quite interesting to say the least. She wasn’t too sure if she liked the other Dovaa for her freedom and liveliness or disliked her for her attitude.

“I’m Esmeralda.” The Peisio offered Rain with a nod to acknowledge his introduction. They wanted to climb? She honestly didn’t think it was a good idea, but none of them were her own children so she couldn’t possibly stop them even if they did decide they wanted to climb. “I will watch,” she said carefully. “But I will not climb.” If something happened at least she could heal any broken bone.

The Orderite watched the exchange with mild curiosity, wondering how they’d gotten the pup in the first place. “Yes my Vildean,” she chuckled softly. “It is well, he likes to bite but he behaves himself when he needs to. I have named him Thaedori.” She called him Thae for short and the little bugger was perhaps the best pet she’d ever gotten. Better than any courier too. More trustworthy since she’d trained him. She’d actually brought him along on this trip; she’d sent him hunting since they were out in the open air. He would probably bring something back to her whenever he got back.

“I guess that is so.” She’d been suckered in to helping them. Xenosa let it go though; it wasn’t like she had anything else she ought to be doing. She turned her eyes to the Dovaa once more, she didn’t know if he was friends with Keke so she offered him a cool reply. “Xenosa.” They were going to trek around the forest with it? “Where exactly are you all going?” She didn’t even know where Keke’s sister resided, was she going to have to follow them all the way there. Well, it would be a good enough excuse.

Keke happily accepted the pieces of jerky, pleased that he didn't have to break what little he knew of his manners to ask. Or beg. It was as good as its scent had advertized, and Keke was sure that, with any beast that liked meat, Jerky would be the way to train it.

He watched Nehelini's movements – and training – with interest. “Should we be taking it out now?” he asked, “Biscuits...” Keke looked at them with definite appreciation. “Aside, it might run back to its mama when it sees... ohhh, thats why we're going in a different direction” he realized, with a start, “Good... good! Nevermind, then.” he thought, “But that means that, when it's time to find one for her...” he flicked his tail at Xenosa, “We might have run out of directions!” he chuckled at his joke.

It was a very presumptuous assumption that she would want to go with them while trying to tame the Ikri, every time they tried, but Keke was sure that – for all her coolness – she, like his sister, enjoyed the company more than she let on. Besides, it was so much easier to capture animals in a group. Keke hadn't entirely forgotten his youthful attempts at the Alkara, and how difficult it had been, and how his one almost-success had resulted in dinner instead of a pet bird.

“Ooo!” he chirped, “Thaedori! That is an excellent name for it. Why did you pick it in particular?” he asked, moving so that he was equidistant from both the Dovaa and the Orderite. He didn't want either magescian curiousity out of his sight. All he needed was an Oblivionite to make his set complete, though of course, he could not keep them – nor himself – here.

I wonder if its possible to tame a magescian?

But that was a silly thought, if amusing. Khehora couldn't be tamed, and neither could magescians. For now, that was that. Still, maybe later he would think on it further.

Mmm.

But for now, Ikri. “We're going back into the woods, of course.” he said cheerfully, “That's where they are.”

Malta chirped with delight as the Oblivionite turned out to be Detraeus. “It is cold, isn't it?” she remarked. Her fur cloak kept her... sort of... warm, warmer than just her skin, but she could feel the cold. It found her, creeping into any c***k in the thick armor that it could.

Siksyl'gra's went down to half mast as he glowered silently at Detraeus and then, as if he could care less about the frost and the magescian and the sullying of his master through association with the disgusting twolegs, he began to groom his wings carefully, keeping his saliva from the fur even though the lack of it felt dirty.

But of course Malta did not notice her familiar's antics or, if she did, she was too happy to see her friend to bother. “I'm well!” she said, “And you? And your mate? And your little ones?” she hadn't heard from them in a little while, and she always felt the need to check...
