Samoset watched his father and Rilind leave and turned, like a hawk to it's prey, to face Kennet. His grandfather had already taken his side by the fire pit and started discussing the way they were going to spice up the meal, but couldn't seem to decide on anything. He sighed, narrowed his gaze, and plopped his behind next to the fire.

"Oh, well, I'm sure whatever Kennet decides is the best idea!" He said, his voice laced with sarcasm. "He never gets anything wrong, he's always right!"

As he was lead away from the others, something that allowed Rilind a moment in which he could catch his breath, he gave a happy, sighing sound. Looking up at Yaholo he said, "Thanks, I am still trying to get used to living around other people. I think I spent far too much of my time living out in the middle of nowhere in Tale for my own good, it's make me rather awful at dealing with others." He said, a little angry with himself for that. He could have done so much more if he hadn't always run away, might have been able to spend more time with Yaholo, maybe even been able to see his kids while they were still little. Not that he would have known what to do with them when they were little but still...

Shaking his head he looked ahead, "A bucket? Alright." Was a bucket important? Couldn't he just scrub off at the source of the water? Or would he get the water all mucked up if he did that? He'd rather not mess things up he thought to himself, climbing up along with him before he looked ahead once he was at the top of the ladder, able to see the others from the perch. It was easier to inspect them from here, to get used to their presence, "You're sons seem interesting." He said to Yaholo, adding then, "It's quite strange how they look like miniture versions of you, is this because of Aisha's influence?" He knew only the bare minimal about Aisha, that she was a magical tree that gave people children, something that Uquin had reassured him existed.

Truth be told it was something that had relieved him, not having wanted to think Yaholo might have made it up to hide a woman from him. Seeing his kids though he realized unless the woman looked similar to Yaholo that it couldn't have been such, not when they looked so much like him, to the point it was almost eerie. Following along after Yaholo he set to searching for the bucket as well as well, wanting to get cleaned up so that they could return to the others, and see about sharing dinner with them. The whole experience was a bit overwhelming but it was something he wanted to do, wanting to get to know Yaholo's family. Despite his sons seeming to enjoy butting heads they weren't so bad, people that he felt he could get used to given the time to do just that.

Yaholo paused as he entered the house and gave Ril a sympathetic look. He knew that it was overwhelming to Ril, all of this attention and commotion, and all he wanted to do was make him as comfortable as possible. The first step in that was getting him cleaned up as he wanted, and which he couldn't disagree to. His thoughts went south, again, to the idea that maybe he could take the time to bathe with Rilind before dinner, if the other would allow it, before returning to the task at hand.

"Not a problem, I was getting overwhelmed myself." He replied, leading Rilind into a short hallway. "The bucket should be somewhere just... Here?" He paused at a small sliding door and opened it, only to shake his head. "What a bunch of clutter. My dad needs to do some organization..."

He found himself blushing as the conversation turned to his sons and how similar they were to him. Yes, they were interesting, to put it lightly. They were little gifts from Aisha that never knew when to call it quits, always finding something to argue about. It was like they were aiming to give him gray hair by the time he was 35. He pursed his lips and nodded.

"Aisha creates children in the likeness of whoever pleas for them." He explained, reaching into the closet to rummage through the clutter. "I was surprised, too, to be honest! Especially since I was granted twins. It's very rare and considered an honor, apparently."

He paused and tugged out a bucket from a pile of old rags in the corner of the closet, before digging around for a towel and a bar of soap.

"Well, here we are! One bucket, a soap bar, and a towel." He said, smiling. "Now, let's see about you getting a change of clothes from my old room. I should have something that will fit you, but, if not, we can always improvise."

Ril turned to watch Yaholo as he went about searching through his father's things, trying to find the missing bucket. Odd that a bucket could get itself lost but then again he supposed if a person had a place of their own it could happen. If you had a home you had a place that you could easily lose things, different from Rilind who kept all of his things with him at all times. He found himself looking around for a moment, then said in a quiet tone, "I kinda like it, even without any organization." He'd like a place like this one day, especially now that he felt he had finally been forgotten about those that he feared. His father, the Dretch, they should all be far and likely thought that Rilind was dead and buried under that grave in Jauhar. If it stayed that way then perhaps he would be able too actually settle down somewhere.

Turning slowly to look over at Yaholo once more as he spoke of his sons and how Aisha worked he gave a slow nod, "I see." He murmured, his voice thoughtful, before he said, "So what you're saying is to your Aisha you are an important sort of person?" He was important, honored even. It was a strange thought, that he was with someone like Yaholo, a blessing of sort, maybe from Bergchi to make up for her complete lack of attention when he was younger? Who knew though. Shaking off the thought he walked toward Yaholo, patting him lightly on the arm, "Thank you." He said, not exactly sure what he was thanking him for, maybe just for being himself.

As he found the bucket and various other things Rilind needed he gave a smile, "Change of clothes? If it's not too much of a bother." He said with a nod, motioning to him to lead the way to his old room, "I am kind of curious to see your room." Maybe it would help him to learn that much more about Yaholo he thought to himself, ever curious about the big, dark skinned man. There was so much about him that Rilind had yet to learn, though he supposed he had plenty of time for that, didn't he? A nice thought, that he might have the chance to sit down and do so instead of thinking about where he was going to retreat to next. He was liking this whole 'new start' thing.

Yaholo paused, as if shocked, and blushed. An important person? Him? He leaned onto one side and gazed away from Ril as he tried to think of the right words to reply with. On one hand, he was an important figure in society, but that didn't mean Aisha giving him twins made him any more important. He didn't want Rilind to think he were pompous or willing more of a title upon himself. He didn't really like getting attention, unless it were a special ceremony or even just a thank you... He pursed his lips, smiled, and laughed.

"Oh, well, I'm a hybrid, Ril." He said, his laughter faltering. "I can't communicate with Aisha the same way as my pure blood Sisters are able to. Much of what Aisha does is a mystery to me, so, I can't really say why she gave me twins. All I know is that the Alkidike tend to think that getting multiple children from Aisha is an indicator of honor. I will never know for certain why I was given two babies..." He paused, a thoughtful expression crossing his features. "... Hell, I'm amazed that she granted my plea in the first place, let along the pleas of my parents..."

He brought his gaze back up from the floor and shrugged, as if to shrug off his thoughts on the subject, and motioned for Rilind to follow him down the hall. Admittedly, he found that Rilind's interest in his childhood room made him blush further, like he was showing Rilind one of his most private places, but Rilind's needs were far more important than that of his flustering face. His old room was at the end of the hall and opened up with just a subtle push, revealing a very simple, but inviting space. There was a desk, a bookshelf filled with drawings and books, and a bed that looked about a size and half too small for the now grown Brute to fit in. Yaholo took a breath in and let it slowly filter out.

"Well, it's been a while since I've been in here. It's... Like opening a door to the past." He said, chuckling. "Let's get you those clothes! I should have some spare things around here somewhere..."

He moved towards his old bedside and tugged open a drawer that had been built into the underside of the bed. Inside of the drawer were various articles of clothing, some wooden jewelry, and the bow and arrow set he'd used to train with when he was a prentice. Drawn to the old weapon, he pulled it from the drawer and held it up into the light, a soft smile on his face.

"Ha, to think I could've been an archer! Kind of funny, huh?" He laughed.

Rilind starred up at Yaholo a moment before he lifted a hand, catching hold of one of his dreds, and gave it a tug, "I can see more then a few reasons for why Aisha would bless you in such a manner." He murmured, not all that good at compliments but as far as Yaholo went it was a little easier since he was a good guy, "After dealing with me as you have for so long you must be some sort of saint." He added, He wondered if it was because he was so patient that he was able to contend with two such high spirited sons? He supposed it could be possible. Letting go of Yaholo's hair he gave him a nod, falling into step so that he could lead the way. He walked along behind Yaholo, looking from side to side as they went, getting a good feel for the place, before the door was opened up to Yaholo room, allowing him inside such a place.

Stepping inside the room he looked around, a curious look on his face. So this was Yaholo's room? It was simple in appearance but it seemed that he had things hidden away in drawers from the looks of it. He gave a little chuckle as Yaholo showed him the bow tha the had, explaining how he'd thought about being an archer at one point. Ril gave him a once over before he said, "It seems small in your hands." He wasn't sure he could quite picture Yaholo as an archer, likely due to his size and strength. The hammer he carried about seemed as though it suited him far better. It was one of those weapons that were quite impressive, though Rilind doubted that he could personally lift it up. He was far more suited to his fighting in a way that involved speed, not the brute strength that Yaholo had in spades.

"Should I wait here? Use the bucket of water to wash up then change?" He asked of Yaholo, for a moment debating if he wanted to kick Yaholo out of his own room when it came to such a thing or not. He had healed up for the most part after the run in with the Dretch before the battle against Oba's monsters but that didn't mean he wanted to show off his scars, especially the one in his shoulder, to Yaholo. He knew he shouldn't be self conscious of them and yet he couldn't help feeling that way where Yaholo was concerned given how handsome he was. Not that he would say that out loud.

Yaholo found himself blushing fervently. He was no saint, that sort of compliment was way over the top. However, he had to admit that he was a good person, that he could give a nod to. He clasped the old bow in his hand, only allowing himself another moment of nostalgia before it was placed back in the drawer in exchange for a set of green colored clothing. He held them up to the light for inspection and slowly nodded to himself. They might be a little big for Rilind, at the very least they'd cover him up. He draped the clothes over his arm and smiled at Rilind.

"We need to fill the bucket first in the kitchen, I'll go do that for you now." He said, offering Rilind the clothes. "These should fit you, though they could be a little big. If you need them tied up in some spaces, I have pins. I'll be back in a minute!"

He moved toward the door and rounded the corner again, before walking through another door and into the kitchen. A large water basin sat exactly where he remembered it being, which he used to fill the bucket with. Then, he turned to go back to his old room.

"Alright, I'm back!" He said, placing the bucket next to Rilind as he entered the room. "You can wash up in here if you'd like! I'll wait outside, just give me a call if you need anything."

Though he'd never admit it, he wished he could stay and bathe with Rilind, but he knew it wouldn't be wise, or courteous, to ask that of Rilind right now. It was something he'd have to ask when they were in a more private setting and not in his father's house.

Rilind looked at the clothing that Yaholo had gotten for him, giving a slight nod as he held the stuff up. It looked nice enough and as a bonus it was clean, so he wouldn't mind wearing it. Not to mention that it seemed as though it would be good enough to cover him up well enough. The clothing were handed over to him as Yaholo told him that he'd go and fill the buckets and that he'd be back in a minute. He hugged the clothing to chest, taking a couple steps after Yaholo, before he forced himself to stay still instead of following since there was no need for him to do so.

The waiting was a bit on the agonizing side, mostly because it felt strange being in Yaholo's room without Yaholo, making him feel a bit like an invader. It was on of those thoughts that he tried to push aside while waiting for Yaholo's return, feeling quite relieved when he finally returned with a bucket in hand, "Thank you." He said, ever impressed with the fact that he was so nice to him, willing to go out of his way for him like this. Yaholo really was too nice a person he thought to himself, "You'll guard the door?" He asked, then nodded, "Thank you again." The idea that he was standing just outside was a nice thought, it meant that nobody would be coming inside to see him sans clothing.

Once Yaholo had stepped outside he stripped down out of his dirty clothing, folding it up and set it on the floor and out of the way, before he set to cleaning himself up. He was quick to get rid of the dirt and blood that clung to him. Once he was done he set to examining a few of the scars he bore on his skin, realizing that most that he'd gotten from the Dretch were starting to fade. The his shoulder was thicker and stiffer then the rest, making moving his arm a little more difficult, but at the same time it was still looking better then it had been. Once he was done inspecting his scars he moved to scoop up the over sized clothing that he'd been given, pulling it on, before walking to the door so he could open it up, "I'm done." Hopefully he hadn't left him waiting for too long.

Yaholo stood at attention as if he were guarding the most precious treasure in the world and only turned from this staunch pose when he heard Rilind's voice. He flashed Rilind a smile and couldn't help but chuckle at how the clothes fit on his body. He looked like he was wearing a tarp! Oh, it would have to do for now until he could find him some better clothes. Maybe something of Sam or Ken's would fit Rilind better? He pursed his lips and moved to envelope Rilind in a hug.

"Ah, there you are! How do you feel?" He chimed, kissing Rilind on the forehead. "Are the clothes alright?"

Suddenly, the quiet of the house was broken by the sound of arguing and foot stamping from down the hall. Muffled curse words, shoving, and growling soon followed until, at long last, Samoset and Kennet appeared at the end of the hall. Kennet was the first to break eye contact with his brother and bounded eagerly up to Yahoo and Rilind.

"Dinner's ready, sorry for the delay!" He announced, flashing a glare to Samoset. "If only someone had stayed out of my way, I would have been done cooking a long time ago."

Samoset managed to tear away from the glare war to pay his father and Rilind a smile, before looking back to Kennet.

"You put way too much spicy powder on food! If I hadn't interrupted, it would've been inedible!" He grumbled, folding his arms and sighing. "Ugggh, whatever, I'm too hungry to care right now. Let's go eat!"

Rilind looked down at what he was wearing, running a hand over it, before he gave a nod, "They are alright, a bit on the big side, but they are comfortable and smell clean so that's good." He said, letting his eyes close as he was given the kiss. It was a rather relaxing thing, something that he found that he was enjoying more and more as time went on. A shame that he had to share him he thought to himself. A thought that seemed to be accented with a big exclamation mark when when there was the sound of yelling, that of Yaholo's boys.

He blinked a couple times, turning toward the pair of them, then back up to Yaholo, "We should go and eat before they get into a fist fight from hungry." He told the bigger man, feeling a little more at ease at the moment since he was cleaned up, relaxed, and comfortable. He would do his best to let the arguments not effect him so that he could enjoy the meal of birds that he'd hunted down for the lot of them. Maybe they'd be more agreeable when they were full... or maybe the would fall asleep, kids did that right? Hopefully, if they were all lucky.

As soon as the thumping started, Yaholo's posture had stiffened into a defensive pose. Couldn't they walk up a freaking ladder together without arguing? Noooo, even that was too much to ask of them! He sucked in a breath, puckered his lips, and nodded. Yeah, the sooner they ate, the sooner they'd pass out and the village could rest peacefully again.

"Alright, alright, stop being babies and let's go eat!" He exclaimed, nudging the boys along and taking Rilind's hand in his. "I haven't had home cooking here since before you two were born, so, let's try to make this meal one to remember for the company and food, not arguing and name calling. Got it?"

He waited for the boys to nod as confirmation before heading back outside. He smiled to himself as his father waved them over, already having carved part of one of the birds, and looked to Rilind. This was the beginning of something he'd always wanted, even if it was nothing like he'd anticipated. He had his beloved at his side, his father was healthy, and his boys... Well, they were here. As far as he knew, he was living the dream, and it was beautiful.
