Carwyn and Leszyth - Harpers

Leszyth crooned happily at Conroith, and warbled in delight as she tackled Imbeleth- tempted to join in the pile- but then he was distracted by the thought from his blue brother, 'Druith, we are going to investigate that noise, bring Yours and join us!' He chirped happily at J'ric as he pranced forward, having caught sight of Carwyn and leading the way towards her and the other harpers as he sent an indignant thought to D'lek, Mine, why did you not tell me your sister can make the noises?!

Carwyn smiled as one of the weyrlings joined in the music with his gitar and lent her voice with the chorus. She had to keep herself from breaking form as the troupe of dragonets bustled their way forward and eyed the approaching brown warily, but appeared to relax as the music seemed to entice blues into the brown's whirling eyes. Carwyn glanced at Lucayr when he hit a sharp note, but thought he recovered well, she noted that he returned to the simpler chords and wondered if he were engaged in a mental discourse, thinking back to how long it took her to adjust to the mental dialogue between rider and dragon.

J'on had only just sat down and gotten comfortable. Karath having some trouble getting comfortable with her cape but eventually she settled beside his legs.

He glanced up at the Healer, recognizing her for fixing up his girl. "Hello." He said with a slight smile. "Go ahead, no one else has claimed a seat as of yet." He gestured to one of the open chairs.

Karath tilted her head back to look at Poecileth easier. 'Hello' She echoed, 'I'm Karath, who are you?' She questioned.

Av'nia and Druith

Druith was very much intrigued by his siblings, tilting his own head towards the strange things making noises. What fascinating things! He warbled in awe, nudging at his bonded to get her to move towards them. Mine, Imbeleth and Leszyth want us to go investigate with them! He said sweetly, looking up at the timid face. We should go! I want to know how those things make such noise. They are very nice... There was almost a dream-like quality as he sighed, staring off at more than just the instruments. Until he shook his head and tugged gently at Av'nia again.

"W-Wait! I... I don't know if w-we should... " She started, but her feet were already moving her in the direction Druith wanted. Towards a small cluster of hatchlings forming. Oh Faranth. "Are you sure they want us to join?" She asked in a tiny voice, wishing to be back against the wall.

Of course they do! Imbeleth. Leszyth. How do those things make such sounds?! Can we make them too? The blue dragged himself and Av'nia right into the group, nosing his way next to Leszyth and staring wide-eyed at... whatever they were.

Av'nia recognized J'ric as she was forced to... mingle, and offered him a shy smile. "H-Hi." She squeaked, feeling awkward and... shells there were a lot of hatchlings right here!

Laenara looked and saw Av'nia and her Dragon. She starts to raise a hand but dropped it when she saw her room mate wandering towards other people. She recognized another boy whom looked familiar. He was Benden bred for sure but beyond that, Lae didn't know his name or story.

Leananth spoke to all her clutch mates and their riders openly and with ease.

"What did you do that for? We don't need them around us." Laenara snapped.

Vosin and Killakeeth

Vos had been amused by Ves as Killa included her twin. It was just easier to make her happy than argue. She nodded approval as she looked Ves over in her new duds. "Not bad if I say so. Ready?" The girl had her twin on one side and her dragon on the other. Nothing could be better.

Killakeeth purred her approval at the twins as well. Now they look respectable Xibath, she commented privately to Xibath before they left the barracks.

At the feast, the young dragon sniffed appreciatively. Soon. Soon enough she'd be hungry again.

"You bet!" Everything had looked so good while they'd been helping to prepare. Vosin had been on her best behavior and didn't snitch anything to try. Now she was going to make up for that. The teen steered the tiny group over toward the tables. It was as good a place as any to start. They weren't the only ones heading toward the tables either. Vos waved to Ceirrys who met them as they neared the tables.

"Congrats on impressing Ceirrys! Yes it is! Otherwise we wouldn't be having a feast." She wrinkled her nose at the cheapness of Keller. It still irked her, but she was putting it aside for tonight.

A head peeked around her rider's leg curiously to see who Hers was talking to. Who is this handsome lad Vosin? Killa crooned to Ceirrys, then spoke directly to him, it’s polite to introduce oneself. She eased around her rider and tilted her head to indicate he should introduce himself to her.

Thank you Bandhidheth. We will be sure to make some time. Killa kept an eye on the people and dragons gathering around the tables with interest.

The teen wanted to snicker at the ploy for direct attention from her dragon. Vos happened to look up and spotted F’in and K’err approaching. She was glad the boy with the eye patch was able to make it. When Kylerr called she gave a wave in returned and pitched her voice a bit higher until they got closer. “Are we going to be able to listen to you tonight?” She and Killa were looking forwarding to hearing them preform.

Vos scanned those around her with a practiced eye. It wasn’t like her brother to take so long to show up. “Keep an eye out for Esre, Ves. I haven’t seen him yet.” Spotting Jikkiri waving at the feeding tables with his brown, she gave a wave back. Vos watched the pair head toward the harpers and made a mental note to do that later as well. There were so many people here! Which was of course to be expected with such an important event for the wherholds. She grabbed a couple of plates from the table and passed one to her twin. It was time to load up on all those tasty goodies.

Xibath replied privately to her Killakeeth.

Vesin followed her sister over to the food table, all too happy to begin digging in. Since Xibath had already been taken care of, it was her turn to shove her face! She smiled at Ceirrys whom she didn't know very well. "Yes! Congrats! This is Xibath." She said introducing her little green who was nudging her hand to be introduced instead of intruding mentally. The nudging stopped as soon as she was introduced though, and Xibath began to wander off. Not far though.

Xibath, while listening to Vesin and watching her pile food on her plate, noticed familiar red hair and wandered away from hers to go see who it was even though she was sure she knew him. And she was right! Sitting next to Vesresh, she moved his hand so that it was sitting on top of her head and she sat there. She told her rider as she sat calmly next to Esre.

Vesin couldn't help but laugh as Xibath went and found Esre for them. "Don't worry, Vos. Xibath found him just over there." She said as she pointed towards the pair. She smiled at each of the people her sister waved to, always the quieter of the two.

Ceirrys - Feast Tables

Ceirrys probably shouldn't have been surprised by the gold's affection given her behavior at the hatching, but he was taken aback by hearing her voice in his head- he was just getting used to Leszyth's. He smiled down to Killakeeth though to comply to her wishes, "How rude of me my dear, I am Ceirrys and I impressed to your blue brother, Leszyth, who has scampered off to watch the harpers." He turned his attention from the young gold for a moment to grin at Vesin and Xibath, "Congratulations to you too! I'm very pleased to meet you Xibath."

He rebuffed Leszyth's accusation as he piled a plate with food, doing so with almost disappointed movements as more and more people joined in at this particular table, You never asked; besides, you wouldn't have been able to discover it on your own and that just would've just taken all the fun out of your investigation!

Jikkiri and Lagoneth

Jikkiri noticed Lucayr and nodded in acknowledgment, pleased that the nice, helpful boy remembered him. He didn't want to remember the dead boy, though, and he averted his eyes until that memory was safe and sound where it could bother nobody. It was best not to associate people with bad things, and Jikkiri had gotten good at blocking out all evil. Except, apparently, his dragon... but Langoneth was not evil, just as Jamarin was not, or a wher. As he looked back again, Langoneth stirred.

he said, watching Lucayr.

“Mmhmm!” confirmed Jikkiri, drinking some sort of fruit juice – fruit juice! How marvelous!

Langoneth murmured, intrigued.

“I can see that.” commented Jikkiri, watching the crowd more than the Harpers. People were his thing – people were wonderful. He waved at Carwyn. “Langoneth, do you mind if I go over there...?”

Langoneth swung his head to his rider, nuzzling him a moment before turning back to the music.

he said, distracted for the moment.

“All right.” he said, approching Av'nia and J'ric, also spotted in the crowd. “Hello!” he greeted, “I don't think we've met!”

Langoneth watched him out of the corner of his eye...

Z'radi and Rotatonth

Z'radi thought the black was absolutely adorable. She followed him to the harpers, wanting to see him snuggle into his hood again because that was just precious. She lost the small creature in the crowd though.

“Aww.” she said, dissappointed.

admonished her green.

protested Z'radi,

“Psh.”

Malta and Poecileth

“Oh, Thank you!” she said, sitting down and smoothing her white dress somewhat awkwardly. She moved her long black hair out of her face and behind her ears, revealing simple brass earbobs.

Poecileth's eyes sparkled green-blue in amusement,

“I don't believe I caught your name...” said Malta, “How are you and your...”

Poecileth supplied.

“Karath? Healing well?”

J'on's smile grew just a bit, she seemed sort of...shy.

"I'm Jameso- I mean J'on now. I'm healing fine and so is my girl, she's complaining that it's a bit awkward to move though. But it comes with the territory of getting into a fight." He chuckled. "Going from her actions at the hatching... You might be seeing some more of us."

Karate tilted her head at Poe. 'I knew it was her but I didn't know the names, this cape is very uncomfortable... When will it be taken off?' She asked curiously as she shifted yet again to get comfortable.

Quote:
Song change... anyone want to dance?

Right on cue, Lucayr felt a tug on his pantleg and and Tikth's accompanying mental burst of relief. He had sent the dragonet directions that took him around the harpers' audience to the rear of the band, where few others were likely to go. As his hands were employed in musical endeavors, Lucayr sent comforting thoughts to Tikth, promising food in short order and a nice bath later in the evening.

He felt himself under scrutiny and when he looked up, no one was looking at him. He was sure it was due to his mis-chord, so it must have been another harper, as an untrained ear likely would not have caught the mistake.

The harpers finished playing the current song and started a new one, fast and merry, perfect for dancing.
Lucayr grinned at the welcome change, and his smooth tenor rang out with the other voices in the opening lyrics.

Carwyn and Leszyth - Harpers/Dance Square

Carwyn set aside her lap harp as they finished their current song and stood to fully join those singing as the tune changed to one that was far more lively, lending her soprano to the lilting lyrics.

Leszyth turned to Druith as he and His joined their troupe of hatchlings, 'We will have to find out how these sounds are made, the sister of Mine was making them, so maybe we can ask her? Our clutchmate Sirinth made noises with her voice like some of the humans are making with theirs now, so maybe we can too?' He let our a curious warble that clashed with the song, 'Hmm, perhaps not..."

Ceirrys - Feast Tables -> Dance Square

Ceirrys moved from the tables laden with food to find his family and enjoy their company while he ate, which- in the typical fashion of a growing young man- was actually closer to scarfing down than refined savoring. Finishing his food in quick order and hearing the change in harpers' tune, he turned from his family to look for a dancing partner.

He spied Vosin and Vesin finishing up their own plates at another table. Ceirrys bid his family a brief farewell, he'd rejoin them once Carwyn and his mother took a break from playing, and gathered his nerve as he approached the twins. He steeled himself and wore one of his best charming grins as a mask for the tumultuous turning in his stomach and asked jovially, "Would either of you care to dance?"

Leszyth - Harpers/Dance Square

Leszyth noted that many people were gathering with partners to jaunt merrily around the dirt square and sent a mental query to Ceirrys, Mine, what is this thing the people are doing now?

Ceirrys responded to Leszyth as he moved from the table he had been eating with towards Vesin and Vosin, It's called dancing, and we do it to celebrate and enjoy another's company; hopefully I'll be on the square too!

Leszyth said to the group of dragonets, 'Surely we could do that though! It seems we need to partner and then prance around with one another, Conroith, Druith, Imbeleth, who would like to "dance"?'

Kalendol smiled cheerily at Anali and her movements depicted the same richness of the song as she rocked a little, her eyes lighting over everything. She hovered a little on Jamarin eating, but her attention went instinctively back to Anali. "True enough, that this is a great cause for celebration. It's amazing!" Kalendol was excited for the festivities after all, if only a little put out by the multitudes of people. Do you think I should've worn something nicer, Kynigoth?

<Ah, motherdear, she speaks truth, I'd never live up to your amazing qualities.> The young dragonet chirped in response, passing along to her rider that her mother complimented her for her flattery. <I'm sure you look fine, mine.> Upon hearing a second voice within her head she perked up and her tail seemed to sway in delight, <Hello Atibonth!> She crooned lightly and a wicked look entered her eyes as she glanced towards Bandhidheth. <I think Mine and I should go enjoy some of the tasty morsels, mothermine. Do you mind if we take our leave?> The pale green cocked her head carefully to look up at the massive golden dragon before her.

Kalendol had listened in on Kynigoth's conversations and then chuckled to Anali, "It seems as though my Kynigoth is hungry now, despite her large lunch. I must take my leave, for the time being. Thank you for the chat, Anali. It's been lovely." The teen smiled and pat her dragonet's head. Come on then, Kynigoth. She chuckled inwardly.

Druith inched closer to his siblings and the noise makers, fascinated by the sounds coming from them! I like these, Niamine! What lovely things!

Even as timid as she was, Av'nia couldn't help but smile at that. And then jumped when someone else approached and spoke to them. Sweet Faranth! There were more people here than she was used to! "H-Hello." She said softly, a tiny smile curling her lips up. "I... I'm Av'nia." She said to Jikkiri, pretty sure she hadn't met him either. Though Av'nia remembered him from lessons.

Glancing back over his shoulder, Druith regarded Jikkiri with bright blue-green eyes. There was no reason to be afraid of him! The blue hatchling giggled at his rider, turning back to nuzzle her side before looking at Leszyth. Dancing? Is that what the humans are doing? Moving funny like that? Druith wiggled his own rump, trying it out. This was fun! I'll do this dancing thing with you! He trilled, bumping his head against his blue brother.

Malta and Poecileth

Malta laughed a little, nervously. “Sorry.” she said, apologetic, smiling, “I tried to make it... nice.” Actually, cute was the word she wanted to use. Hence the 'cape'. “But I'm glad you two are doing well!” she studied her handiwork for a moment.

she said pleasantly.

“... yes, you should drop by tomorrow so I can check on your injuries.” agreed Malta. “The infirmary.” she added, in case it was not obvious. “At the very least, I will need to change it out... dragons grow so fast!”
