Vosrik hurt. He was achy and his leg hurt more than it usually did, and he could hear his siblings in the background along with several other people. He opened his eyes, blinking, and then sat up, looking around for his siblings. There was Vos, and Ves with Esre. They were all here, safe or so he presumed, seeing as there weren't people surrounding them with weapons, and he leaned back as he listened to Bereck.
Clean clothes would be nice, and he could understand the need to rest. Traveling between times hurt, and the less he had to move, the better. Besides, if they were in the future, where would they go? Home? He shook his head. No, until they knew more, this was the best place, and the one speaking seemed to know what he was talking about.
"I don't suppose we could get a harper in here?" he asked Bereck. "To give us a run-down of what happened during the time we were," he paused, unsure of how to put it. "traveling?"

Vesresh
Vesresh hugged his sister back, perhaps too tightly for someone with injuries. It was comforting to have her there. Between times... again that rumor, that strange rumor. He snuggled into Vesin's (was it Vesin? He couldn't tell if she had bangs or not from this angle, not that it mattered that much. The fact that they were both here was enough) side and looked at Bereck quietly, listening, slightly nervous. Vosrik's voice calmed him further. His family was here... but he hadn't seen his parents...
"Um... yes..." he managed, trying to take some measure of bravery from his sister's warmth. "Are our parents here?" he knew he should give the names, but his voice caught in his throat and he couldn't manage to mention them. Instead, he hugged his sister just a little tighter.

Valdene and Suuyeth
murmured Suuyeth, holding onto the images, he nudged her mind, still finding it unresponsive. But she was alive, she was there... but would she wake up? He gave her mind a more insistent shove, like a cat seeking attention, and was rewarded with a slight resistance. Reassured, he sent a mental nuzzle to Berath. he said, though his mental laughter was slightly strained. All this talk about time and time... It was just so bizarre. And neat. Mostly neat. He wanted to find out if it was true, but that meant going outside, and Berath was still in the way. Are they single was Suuyeth's next question, but he was briefly distracted by a massive ache at the base of his wing, which he busied himself with nudging annoyedly until it dissipated. he commented to no one in particular.

Vosin and Bronze TiaethVosin grinned as Elane demanded bath and clothes. "I agree with her, and the food. I'm sure it'd make us feel a bit more human and less like nesting wherries to be properly dressed." Slowly she was moving her arm and testing her shoulder. Sore, but she thought it'd be alright. She eyed Erse's crying, but figured it was just a release of nerves. Ves would look after him. The bronze gave a shrug as he slowly stretched one limb at a time out then his wings. Mine and I have never been to High Reaches. He turned a blue eye on Pellinorth for his suspicion. Do you remember what we just got away from? It's not as though we had time to get properly ordered wings. With a full body shake, he rose to his feet.
Vosinmine, if you haven't gathered, we are being told that we are over 500 Turns into the future. He sounded amused by the whole idea.Oh really? What proof do they have for that? Tiaeth proffered her the view of the enormous green, Vos jerked a bit. "Shaftin big green.." she muttered. "How about the names of the current Weyrleaders and Weyrwomen? What proof can you provide that we are where you say we are?" She asked of the man who offered to answer questions. Vos grinned as her other brother showed he'd regained consciousnesses as well. "Aye a harper would be nice." She took stock of those waking up and those still prone. They really couldn't do anything until those still sleeping woke up. Drudge KialynkaAn order had come for lots of food to be brought to the healers hall. Kia had seen to it that she'd been included to bring the food. She carried a tray filled with soup and klah. Everyone knew the weyr was hiding these tiny riders here. Rumors were flying everywhere. Kia wanted to be able to get a look for herself. She paused at the door and didn't immediately see the apprentice they were to hand their trays over to. Acting as though she'd been ordered, Kia headed over toward where the riders were being kept. The people inside the cave looked normal enough. Spotting a healer standing among a group she headed over to him. "I brung the food and drink. Where would ye like me to set it?" Bereck had expected an apprentice with the food, not a drudge, but frankly just now he was being bombarded with too many demands to demand in turn that she depart. She would have to be subjected to a thorough scrubbing with redwort before she was allowed to even think of reentering the rest of the Weyr though and later, later he would... something. Probably. "Over on that table," he said to Kialynka with a gesture to the one he meant, "and stay here for now girl please."
With that dealt with healer breathed in and out, took stock, and nodded to Vosrik. "A Harper, a Harper we can do; it might take a couple of hours but we'll get one down here for you." Berath would ask Verth to ask On'ya to ask Weyrharper Kiment to come along but he didn't need to bore them with the string of logistical details he had just set in motion.
Next the lad, Vesresh, and this was more difficult again. Bereck wasn't exactly a stranger to giving bad news but that didn't mean he liked it. Lips set in a serious line he made a gesture around the ward. "Everyone who made it through safely is here in this room." Some who had made it but not made it were in another room, neatly laid out to be dealt with later. Bereck was silently glad that the weather was still chill, the bodies would keep in a decent state for longer. "I'm sorry I can't tell you more." He hoped the boy's parents weren't among the dead but on the other hand how would they feel if they had not jumped times, survived the massacre, and suddenly find that they had lost their children? He wouldn't wish that fate on any parent.
"Food, as you see, has just arrived," he continued to Vosin, "and baths and so on will follow.... Well our current Weyrmaster is Venk of gold Hiraeth, but the leader of our domestic affairs is On'ya of blue Verth. Our Weyrleader was T'gall of brown Balith but he was forced to step down due to an injury." To say the least. "For now his duties are being carried out by a council of the wingleaders. As for the other Weyrs... Let's see. Fort has Weyrmaster Harrador of gold Lilyeth with Mor’bal of bronze Yenth, Telgar has Weyrmistress Jadzi of gold Suserath with La’vri of blue Reneseth but like us a headperson is in charge of their internal affairs and for them that is Headman Tu." Bereck shifted, frowning slightly as he ran through which Weyrs he hadn't covered yet. "Ah, yes, Ista has Weyrmaster Kirinar of gold Cadeth H’ver of brown Umbrath, Igen has Weyrmistress Xenna of gold Sentoreth with Eo’rah of green Scimitath. A headman or woman rules domestic affairs there again but they're in a bit of limbo at present after the death of the previous incumbent with a couple of claimants to the post... unless they decided it while I wasn't paying attention. Anyway, lastly there is Benden," where most of these people cared about most no doubt and understandably so, "where Weyrmistress Serilia of gold Elaquoth rules with F’li of bronze Araganth."
After that mammoth speech Bereck cleared his throat and wished he had a glass of water.
Berath meanwhile crooned happily at the compliment to her bondmate. she said to Suuyeth,

When Sereth had first woken she had ranted and raved at her rider until the poor woman's exhaustion had forced her back to sleep. Nersha had been sure however to insist that Sereth not discuss this with anyone else until she woke. This was going to be a delicate situation and Sereth getting dramatic would only cause people to panic. Usually it would have taken much more to buy the dragon's silence, but even Sereth could tell that Nersha's energy was in far shorter supply than usual. She needed to rest and even if she wanted to vent, she would not so the woman could rest. Staying quiet however had proved difficult and so Sereth had decided she would sleep. At least until Nersha came around again and she could let someone know how unhappy she was.
But a dragon could only sleep through so much. With all the moving and the broadcasting she was bound to stir eventually, although she took her sweet time doing it. Eventually a slowly whirling pair of eyes lazily opened and Sereth looked about at the cavern and the dragons gathered within it. Her gaze settled on the large green for a moment. Arrogantly large. The gold snorted and her eyes slid away and kept roaming, she didn't know every dragon here. Really Nersha was better at all that, but she was still asleep and so Sereth didn't have much hope of finding out the identities of those she didn't immediately recognise.
Now, Sereth was not going to speak up, she expected them to take notice of the fact she had woken. Staying quiet and getting her bearings had been the plan and she'd done that, now it was time to get the attention of her dragons off of that bulk of a green. Uncurling her neck Sereth raised her head and stretched out her wings. She leisurely stretched out her body and then settled back down in the more comfortable position. Crossing her forepaws as she was habit to do and looking about as her wings settled back down, tail tip slowly flicking back and forth. There better be a compliment coming.

Valdene and Suuyeth he wiggled slightly, He tried not to sound too relieved, but he honestly was. With Valdene out of the way (sort of, it still bothered him that she was not awake to chatter at) his eyes flickered orange, then blue and then, steadily, back to orange where they remained, whirling hungrily. he said, thinking about herbbeast fondly. And then a fly around the cavern, and then maybe some more questions flung at the big green. And then, in an impatient look around the cavern, Suuyeth noticed the Queen. he chirped, turning friendly green eyes to Sereth If it was true, Suuyeth thought it was super cool. Can you keep it down, Suu? came his rider's weak mindvoice, which he quickly mentally pounced on and cuddled. he said to his rider, privately, No I'm not... go'way.” and she went back to sleep. Wiggling happily, he turned back to Sereth He gossipped to Sereth, gesturing with his wing to Berath, Being a courier of Fort, he didn't know Sereth... Which made it his sacred duty to chat her up and fill her in. ----- VesreshAll these names and places, some familiar and some unfamiliar, that the master healer had listed went over Vesresh's head. It was a lot to take in, too much for the boy, who listened and waited for his sisters and brother to make sense of it.

Regulith listened to the talk go back and forward, still not believing the huge green for a moment but eager to latch onto the view she offered through her rider. he called rather childishly with a childish creel as he spotted his own bondmate stretched out on a bed. He saw her shift slightly but then the old man's eyes moved on and he couldn't see her anymore. Eyes whirling bright yellow again and tail twitching he pressed against Lamira's mind, trying to draw her back to consciousness.
<...Nuuh?> Lamira's reply wasn't exactly coherent. She could feel her dragon there but right now everything else was still far away and dreamlike. The future? She shifted a little more on her bed, her mind filling with images of great metal ships sailing in the clouds. The future was somewhere you could go, of course, but only in dreams.
Vague though the contact was it was enough to settle Regulith's anxiety for now at least; his tail stopped its twitching and the yellow in his eyes was replaced mainly by white wariness. It was then that he noticed Sereth stirring; the young bronze perked up his head and hummed at her. he stated, winning the award for Wingleader Obvious of the Hour. he added quickly, she looked alright all things considered.

Banneth woke without much fanfare, the small bronze stretching out like a lounging feline and yawned widely before noticing that there was company. How very… ooh, yes, that made a small amount of sense then. Though he wasn’t sure that this was where they were supposed to be. he greeted the gathering calmly and walked over to acknowledge the queen.
He then turned, looking at Regulith and nodded. Banneth hummed, glancing around the cave system and gave a small little click at the other’s gathered. Where was everyone? He could see no one else from the first wing, though his green sister was among the others. He questioned gently.
Ra’fe woke to a sense of not right. He swung himself up, ignoring the slight sting of pain in his hands. Weyrlings, he could see quite a few of the two previous classes, the wingseconds from Igen, a child that likely was related, and a man that did not belong. Ra’fe knew their healers and he was not one of them. He expected to be somewhere else but there was not enough people. He couldn’t see anyone from his wing, and could see less than two dozen individuals.
He stood, wrapping himself in a shroud of dignity, because his sword was no wear in sight and left the bed, calmly walking into view and looked over the ones awake. “Would any of you younglings care to inform me of what is happening?” He questioned, voice slightly raspy from sleep.

Perhaps luckily for Bereck, Vosin and everyone else in the room (because she was about one denial from getting whiny or terrifyingly affronted), Elane was distracted by the call for her from another bed.
“Hey, kid” she crossed the room in what might have been a stride if not for the unnaturally clumsy way her legs were moving (normally, she moved elegantly, economically), dropping to one knee by his bed. He was, honestly, only a few turns younger then she. “Good to see you made it”
All conversation from her dragon ceased as he realised that his - their - Queen was, well, present. Because… well, who else should he and his rider look to then their Weyrmistress? There was no more senior dragonpair in the room, and they were extremely distrustful of this whole notion that they had travelled through time and space, no matter what the man with the stick was saying.

Vosin and Bronze TiaethVosin nodded as right then a drudge produced the promised food. It was a start. She was listening as the healer answered Esre, and his reply made her frown. Tiaeth, can you hear our parent's dragons? She had not seen her parents when she'd looked around the room. There was a long pause then a negative from the bronze. I cannot hear them. Tiaeth perked up at the mention of kills. I would like something fat and juicy. He'd never turn down a good meal. It was a good thing when their gold finally showed signs of waking. Bright morning to you Sereth, he greeted her cheerfully.
There were so many possibilities with that statement. They were dead, or Tiaeth couldn't hear back that far, or their dragons still slept. Vos realized if they were still in the past, then they were dead anyhow. Maybe now was a good time to get Esre thinking about other things. She smiled at her youngest brother, and then suggested "why don't you help pass out drinks?" Vosin paid close attention to the names the healer rattled off. Unfortunately none of them were familiar to her. Of course that wasn't to say that he wasn't just spouting off random riders. It struck her as distinctly something out of kilter when he named blues and greens as leaders. Really. What was going on here? She nodded as another rider awoke and joined them. "Girl bring him a cup of klah," she arched her brow at Ra'fe to indicate he should call out additives if he wanted any. "Healer here says we're over 500 Turns into the future." Vos was definitely pleased to Elane join those awake. Drudge KialynkaDutifully Kia carried the food to the table indicated. Inside she felt like it was Gather day and she'd just filched the Lord's deserts. She'd managed to do what all those silly weyrlings had tried. Smirking to herself, Kia poured out some klah as she observed the lost riders. They didn't look much different than the riders here. Maybe their clothes were a bit weird, but other than that they looked like perfectly ordinary riders. There was rumors about the tiny tiny dragons though. Several cups now filled, she set out sweetener and milk for any who wanted it. A call from one of the women made her look up. Oh someone had just woken up. Kia picked up a cup and paused with her hand over the sweetener in case he wanted any added before she brought it over. "Sweetener? Cream? M'lord."

Ra’fe nodded at the Igen wing seconds, he couldn’t tell them apart yet but it was easy to remember people with that much red hair. “Might explain why I feel like the between spat me out of a comb.” Five hundred turns hun? How in the shards did that work?
He paused, looking at Kia and gratefully took the cup before snorting slightly at the title. “I ain’t anyone’s m’lord. Black is fine.” And before Banneth could pipe up on his general lack of manners. “Thanks.” He sipped slowly, mentally calculating what individuals he could see in the room. Not even a wing had made it through.
Banneth replied.
He glanced at Bereck thinking. Even general achy, his toes to the root of his hair all seemed to have a complaint about something, and exhausted, he was sure he could find enough energy to take down a soft looking man with a cane if need be. “Maps.” He said simply.
“Because if we are this far ahead, there be changes on the coast lines and new holds.” Ra’fe signed and sent down a ping of love at his bronze.

Vesresh
Vesresh was confused as to what he wanted to do. Should he jump to his sister's orders and serve drinks with the drudge (which sounded fun enough, unless he stumbled again), or refuse? He didn't want to leave her side. It was an odd fear, the fear her and Ves not being right there (and his brother too, of course), indistinct like the fear of the dark, and punctuated by what he could swear were the chaotic sounds of before.
A third option reminded him of his urgency, forgotten briefly. He released his hold on his sister and sat awkwardly, unsure of how to say what he wanted to say in this room full of big ranking bronzeriders, his sisters, and... oh shards was that the senior weyrwoman?! Of Benden?!
He blushed and fidgeted. Maybe he didn't need to ask. Maybe he could just... not worry about it for a while. But he was soon reminded that that wasn't possible. “Um... I have another question...” he asked, his voice tiny. He felt as though the whole infirmary was looking at him. “Um... Where is the privy...?”

Well, wasn't he... something. The energetic little blue was certainly enthusiastic. Still she wasn't to talk about the going into the future business until Nersha woke up so it was all Sereth could do to give off an air of pleasantness for the time being, even if she felt the blue wasn't showing her nearly enough respect. Especially not when he seemed to lose interest in her only to return moments later. Still it was to do with his rider so maybe she could allow it this one, single, time.
Sereth's gaze glanced towards the green and then back at the blue. The size difference was just unnerving.
A hum caught her attention and Sereth shifted her focus to a weyrling bronze. At least this one was showing her an appropriate acknowledgement. Even away from Benden she was still their queen and expected to be treated as such. The gold returned the weyrling's hum with a measure of affection. she purred back at Regulith. It was only polite to also ask how he was doing also.
She looked up as Banneth approached, nodding to the dragon. Naturally Banneth as one of first would have to check on the others in the gathering, but he had greeted her especially and that was the important thing. Recognising a bronze of 1st wing was easy for Sereth to do, they were always her escorts when she left the Weyr for whatever reason. Although now it appeared she had only the one.
Yet another drew her attention, now this was more to her liking. Except he wanted orders. What should she tell them? Nersha wasn't here for her to relay their directions and Sereth had yet to be out of this cavern so what was she supposed to tell them? When in doubt, stall. They were probably already doing that, but it was a useful enough thing for them to do and it was true to boot so that ought to suffice until Nersha and her could come to an agreement. The young bronze had caught her unaware there, but Sereth liked to think she had managed it well, naturally of course.
Another greeting was happily received from a bronze that Sereth felt she should remember. The name didn't jump to mind, but her eyes shifted over the two bronzes and she felt she should remember them. Still, she didn't need to know his name to greet him. She needed them all as well as possible for hopefully they would be leaving here soon. Sereth was not enjoying her confines. And still not one compliment.
You are as gorgeous as ever, my love. Nersha responded almost immediately, apparently not even questioning the dragons motives. The woman had been slowly waking, hearing voices around her. The dull ache in her side suggested she was in need of more numbweed. Opening her eyes the woman carefully pushed herself up, mindful of the bandages restricting her movements and that they were serving a purpose by keeping her as still as possible. Standing really didn't seem an option she wanted to take with everyone standing around, she wasn't feeling very strong and falling in front of everyone would be embarrassing.
Nersha shifted, attempting to gain as comfortable position as possible and looked around at who had come forward with them. It was a rag-tag bunch and until they knew more there was nothing to do. Not yet, dear. I'm sorry I wasn't here. We'll have to wait a bit longer until we know what the best thing to do is. Just ask them to be patient. Nersha let out a slight sigh as Sereth began about how that wasn't an answer at all, she wanted answers too. When could they leave? Where would they go? For the most part she didn't wait for responses, just launched into her next inquiry.

Berath said to Suuyeth with a feeling of a smile. It was then that she noticed the stirring of the gold. The other female was larger than she was but not by so very much, perhaps the size of a brown. Odd, very odd indeed... and not speaking? The green huffed internally; the gold probably thought herself too good to address a mere green!
More people were waking now; Bereck turned to Ra'fe and made a gentle quelling gesture. "Sit down for now, let your head clear before you try to go walking around."
At least the woman who had been making imperious demands of him was distracted for now by another of the riders, and drinks and food were starting to go around; surreal though all of this was it was currently under control. "I can have some maps brought for inspection, I don't forsee a problem with that," he continued to Ra'fe with a slight lift of his shoulders. Really good maps that showed coastlines with some accuracy were valuable, not the sort of thing people liked to lend around, but being married to a Masterctarcrafter had some benefits....
Ah, and a practical question. Bereck turned back to Vesresh and gestured to a door on the far side of the room. "In that room there, are you alright to walk now?"
At that point somebody else decided to make a contribution to proceedings; a large golden firelizard appeared with a 'pop' about a foot above the ground and released her burden, which landed lightly and settled down to lick itself. It was a large ginger tomcat. As the firelizard fluttered up to land heavily on his shoulders Bereck contrived to look dignified and as though the suddenly appearing pets had nothing to do with him. The gold firelizard licked his ear and the cat got up to rub against his legs, which Bereck felt was distinctly unhelpful.
