Chibi Halo Maerua Chibi Halo I'm starting to wonder if telling people what I know was a good idea. I mean it's good that you guys want to do something about this but my guild and my group, except for maybe two or three people, are ready to give up and call it quits because they believe we're only good for the plot and can't exist without it. It's like they have a why bother attitude about trying to survive without the plot.
Roleplaying and speculation doesn't do anything for them or something? Not for some of the ones who joined after the plot was revitalized. They weren't around for when we tried to make as a plot inspired role-play guild first. We can easily go back to that. I mean who wouldn't want to play around in Porta Denia?
That entire floating town that grew from speculations about casimir trees and what they could do to an entire island is my pride and joy. It's the most extensive world building I've done. Yes it's technically within the already established world of Gaia but I worked up the landscape, the history, the layout, and the noted residents on my own. I am dang proud of what I've created.
That thread is goddamn amazing. If you re-open a roleplaying thread for that setting, I'd hop right in emotion_dowant I've got a floating island of my own, originating from Gaia (the planet, anyway, not necessarily near the four towns), but it's been adjusted so many times it may as well be its own thing.

I had put that thread there because when the plot resurfaced we were trying to be seen as the main group for the supporters of the goddess Gaia. Having a completely open guild with our plot rivals from the Nyx group out there being able to see everything wasn't a smart move if we were going to eventually have a versus event between the followers of those two sides. I had to let people know about Porta Denia so I copied our island setting thread from our role-play subforum into a public record thread so people could read it. I'm considering opening the guild to the public again as things wind down so people can look into the guild as I try and get the role-play up and running again.

Well, good luck. The pool of roleplayers is constantly shrinking, but (I'm assuming) your guild's large enough to make it work.

Pie So, um, is anyone else worried about what Halloween's going to look like this year, if it's not plot-related...? Very. Are they just going to pull out another throwaway event, like the year (2010?) we fought ghosts? As awesome as that was, with all the NPC interaction, it's completely forgettable in the long run because it didn't tie into anything. I mean, seriously, the summer event usually (always?) built up into the Halloween event... which usually carries over into the Xmas event. If they aren't going to do that, I can't even fathom what they'll do. o.o;

Randomly popped into the archived Halloween '10 event forum. I actually loved that Halloween, but that's because I was one of the ghosts.
I guess the event part of it was kinda dull.

I'm not ready to cut the ribbon on this just yet because I have a few more small things to do for it but here's how our Original Character Archives looks so far.

If I may suggest... I would recommend reserving the whole first page and deleting the posts you don't need. It makes things look nice and neat. 3nodding
