Breaking in would have been unnecessary- After Larisa's knocks, a series of clatters and footsteps could be heard in the house. A few seconds later, the door swung open right as Hwan's hand had reached the handle.
Slam. A blur of tears and long locks of auburn hair practically launched out of the doorway at Hwan to throw her slender arms around the boy's shoulders and sob into his chest.
"Oh! Oh I thought you had left without even saying goodbye! I hate you so much, you jer- ..." She pulled back and stared. Though her face was a complete mess from crying, shock and embarrassment managed to awkwardly stumble through her reddening expression. Her hands clapped over her mouth and she let out the quietest of screams, which lasted a whole four seconds.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I'm so sorry. You're not- you're not him. Um." She noted that they were wearing trainee uniforms for the military.
"You must be Fred's- I mean, Friedval's friends. If- if you're looking for him, he... he packed up and left early this morning, before I woke up." She took a long drag of a sniff, tearing up again.
"All of his stuff is gone too, and he didn't even- t-tell me where he's going... just a note saying we're break... breaking up... j-just because I didn't want to leave Shiganshina- I, I-!! Excuse me." She ran back into her house and slammed the door, bawling and toppling over more furniture in her sorry state.
