"Eh, of sorts; he's got the mentality and fighting style - extremely aggressive, sacrifice defense for offense, et cetera - but he's not mindless, and even he recognizes that violence can't solve everything... even if it is his first response to just about everything. And no, I don't have an exoskeleton. We've each got our little quirks; Gizmo's the least human-looking, but has a human brain, Hood looks human but has an Abyssian soldier's bloodthirsty, and I'm a happy medium on both counts." With that, he knocked on the door. "OI, HOOD! OPEN UP, YOU BLOODTHIRSTY a*****e WE'VE GOT A GUEST!"There was a brief pause; then a half-feral voice asked, "Can I kill the ******** style="color: darkred">"No, she's our new liaison with the military."Another brief pause; then, "All right, Crow, I'm coming out, but if she's an Abyssian, first I'm slaughtering her, then I'm ripping your spine out through your a**." With that, the door opened, revealing a boy in a red short-sleeved hoodie, long metal claws attached to fingerless gloves (see pic); he could've been mistaken for human if not for the look in his blood-red eyes - the look of a predator on the hunt. He gave a feral smirk, revealing sharp canines. "Human, huh? Well, whatever. At least she's hot - Battlesuit pilot, too, judging from the scent," he noted, leaning against the doorway. "Still, if she double-crosses us, I slaughter her anyway."Corvus just sighed. "Of course. Anyway... Melody, meet Hood, the group tracker and resident pseudo-berserker. He also has an addiction to massacres, gruesome humor, and swearing. Hood, this is Melody - she'll be staying with us while Gizmo upgrades her Suit. No killing her." He pointedly ignored Hood's mutter of him not being any fun.

Melody looked at the boy tilting her head. "If he tries anything that he just threatened to you or myself, he better be prepared for a fight." She said narrowing her eyes at him. She didn't need to make idle threats to make her points across. "And believe me, Hood, I have been told to follow this man's order," She said pointing to Corvus, "And I don't think he would want me to carve you up like I do to any other Abyssian. Granted, I don't really see you as an Abyssian." Melody said giving him a once over before going back to Corvus's side. "Any where else you going to show me, sir?" She asked at attention.

Hood just laughed and grinned predatorily. "Ooh, feisty one, ain't ya? Threats could use a little work, though - not creative enough. Now shoo, before I rip out your heart and stuff it down your throat." With that, he went back inside, and just before the door closed, you could hear the distinct sound of inhuman screaming and flesh being torn from bone. "...Well, that went well. I do believe he actually liked you - surprising, really, he's never really liked anyone 'cept me and Giz," Corvus noted cheerfully, as if Melody hadn't just been threatened with a quick and painful death... little did she know that that actually was friendly for Hood. "Anyway, yeah, I'd say that's about it unless you want to see the weapons development room, the control room, or the pool and hot-tub-slash-jacuzzi."

Melody thought about it and asked, "Maybe you can show me where I'll be bunking while I am here and where I can get something to eat." The female soldier hasn't eaten since leaving base, which was at least a day ago. "And that was him liking me?" She questioned crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.

"Sounds like a plan," Corvus agreed, starting to lead her to the kitchen/dining room so she could get something to eat. "And yeah, it was. If he didn't like you, he'd have skipped the threats and gone straight to the slaughter."

"Good to know." Melody said following Corvus. They got to the kitchen/dining room. "Is there anything you need me to do? I honestly don't know what to do when I have free time other than to train." Melody asked him.

"Not that I can think of, no. I'll show you to the training room once you've got some food in you, and you can train away. If you need a sparring partner, let me know - I could use some practice against someone who isn't four-armed and flying or a bloodthirsty berserker," Corvus noted cheerfully.

Melody looked him over thinking over training with him before shrugging, "That would be satisfactory, sir." She said opening a cabinet or two. She found some weird food there before looking at the fridge. She smiled seeing CrabSquids. After a couple hundred years with Abyssian, Earth's animals evolved with the times. Surprisingly, it had made the animals tougher and tastier. CrabSquids have legs and arms of a crab while having the head and beak of a squid. It also had the strange combo of a squishy and hard shell like body. She took out a couple with some garlic and butter. She was happy as she started making some pan-roasted CrabSquids. She quickly used a scary looking knife she had hidden in between her shoulder blades. The female soldier knocked out the still alive creatures before removing their toxic ink to use later. She then chopped up the sea creatures and the garlic and butter. When cooked, the CrabSquid's body though hard turned crunchy anf was healthy to eat because it was filled with all the calcium that made up the original shell. Melody smiled as she fired up a pan cooking up the meat coating them nicely with the garlic and butter. Melody then was multi-tasking as she used the toxic ink to make fresh black pasta. The toxic in the ink was found to be easily killed if it was mixed with flour and farther removed with salt. She first cooked the pasta partly in salty water then tossed it in to the pan that had the CrabSquid pan. The female soldier then found a bowl to place it all in. She carefully poured the food in to the bowl before pouring water in the pan to wash later. Melody then got a stack of plates and placed it next to the food. She went back to the fridge and grabbed a Fruitnut. They were originally coconuts but they evolved to have different juice from other fruit and the meat in the nut was the fruit. So it was renamed Fruitnut and they grew everywhere. Melody got so of the pasta she made and sat down. She then remembered Corvus was still there and blushed, "You can have some, Sir. I always make a big batch of anything I make. The general always jokes I should of became a chef instead of a pilot." Melody said before using another knife to stab in to the Fruitnut to get a drink. ((I will like to say I have a large imagination and I am a cook going to college for a foodservice management. So that is my explanation for the detail in the food and how she cooked it.))

(Fair enough... now if you'll excuse me, I need to get this drool out of my shirt. On that note, quoting Tony Stark: "I want one". xd ) Corvus gave her a small grin, mentally noting that she looked pretty cute when she blushed. "Can't say I blame him - it looks and smells great," he noted, taking her up on her offer and getting some of the pasta for himself. "You'd probably even be able to give Hood a run for his money - he may not look it, but his enhanced sense of smell actually makes him a pretty good chef."

((Sorry for causing you to drool. ^^ And I think you were also quoting any little kid in America)) Melody nodded, "Yeah I can bet. Do you think the smell will attract him away from what ever he is killing in his room?" She make a small joke as she chewed on a claw. It easily was crushed under her teeth making her smile at the taste of crab and garlic butter. She sipped from her Fruitnut, it was apple happily. She took another bite before asking, "So do you want to spar with weapons or just hand to hand? If not weapons, I'll need to remove the ones hidden in my suit," She said motioning to her army suit that was standard issue for Battlesuit pilot though for some reason hers was a little tighter around her butt and chest area. Something like this Though the it was also the same for the few other female pilots she had met.

(Well yes, but I doubt they're talking about a hot female OC in a role-play. xd On a completely unrelated note: I AM THE GREEN BUNNY-KNIGHT OF DARKNESS!!! BOW BEFORE MY AWESOME!!!) "Eh, I'd say it's about fifty-fifty," Corvus noted, making a so-so motion with one hand as he ate and sipped from his own raspberry Fruitnut. "As for the weapons issue, up to you. I'd prefer with weapons, though." The other two generally didn't let him do weapons practice with them... something about how swords weren't supposed to be that big, even the ones boosted with alien technology. On a completely unrelated side note, he had definitely noticed how tight Melody's suit was around some bits... he just didn't want her calling him a perv, so he didn't call attention to it.

((True and your bunny avi is cute ^^)) Melody nodded before finishing off her food then drinking down the rest of the fruitnut. She then started to hand wash the dishes. She dropped her empty fruitnut by accident and bent down in front of Corvus picking up the fruitnut. The female soldier used another knife to cut the nut in half then started to eat the apple tasting flash. Once finished, Melody tossed it away then looked over to Corvus to check if he was done. "I'm fine using weapons." she said.

(Yes, I is teh adorableness.) Corvus similarly finished eating pretty quickly, chomping down the raspberry-flavored fruitnut before grinning at her. "All right then." Once the dishes were all washed, he led her to a large, nearly empty room, the only exceptions the variety of weapons on one wall. From these, Corvus picked up a freakin' massive black zanbatou, with a hilt as long as his foreleg; an interesting choice, since most melee weapons these days either vibrated or were formed at least partially from energy. "All right, come at me!" he declared, giving a few practice swings as if the thing was a butter knife before getting into a strange-looking fighting stance.

Melody looked at the weapons on the wall. She smiled seeing a beautiful set of butterfly swords. She picked it off the wall. She strapped the sheath to her back then pulled both swords out of the sheath. Melody loved to fight in two handed combat. She ran at him and swung down with one and swung from the right with the other. She hoped this works to get him to with rand clipped or back off. (( same with dragons 1-3 hits 4-6 doesn't. ))

(Could've sworn it was the other way around, but okay.) Naturally, since Corvus only had the one sword, no matter how big it was, he could only block the one strike; the strike from the right met its mark, however; fortunately, since the weapons were blunted for safety's sake, the strike only caused a bruise. Surprisingly, Corvus only grinned before giving a surprisingly swift side strike of his own, intending to knock her to the ground with the flat of the blade and pin her.
