As the two split up in the marketplace. Aiden found himself in the less populated in of the store after he had gathered food items which included, apples, pears, herbs, spices, and lean ground beef. This section carried weapons of all sorts. Aiden just needed bullets. He approached the counter, rolling his eyes down to the clerk. Aiden looked down on most people. He was quite tall at 6'4, and rarely struggled navigating populated areas. "I need some .50 caliber bullets for a new sniper I bought recently. You by any chance have a few laying around I could get my hands on?" said Aiden as he rested his forearms on the counter in front of him. He flashed his weapons carrying license toward the clerk, reassuring him he wasn't a stranger to any firearm. The two were nearly eye level now, Aiden just shorter than the clerk. "I don't have many... You'll have to be smart with the few I have left. How many were you looking for?" the clerk asked folding his arms. Aiden stood up, reaching into his pocket and grabbing a lump sum of money. Currency was rare the city now, and people often traded goods, instead of buying them with cotton paper bills. "Give me everything you've got.. I'll need it" he threw the money onto the counter. The clerk looked down to it, up towards Aiden, and back down again...resting his eyes on the money only briefly before snatching it away. Aiden smirked as he waited for the clerk to return.
In the midst of his transaction, another being had taken hold of his arm with his back turned. These hands were soft, a bit smaller than his own. He looked over to see Seira. Oh, she was finally submitting to his advances upon her. Or that's what he thought... "Just do me this one tiny favor and pretend to be my boyfriend for a few minutes so this clinger will leave me alone. Don't ask questions. I don't have time to explain," Aiden's slightly confused expression flooded from his face, and a more satisfied one replaced it. He grinned with pleasure. "Oh, really.?" Aiden said drawing her closer to him. "You don't need to explain anything babe. I'm your boyfriend remember?" Aiden said with a wink as the male approached. His eyes scrolled over toward him. Who was this guy? Aiden cleared his throat awaiting the strange man's response to Seira's 'new' company.

Seira let out a tiny squeak as Aiden's left arm slid around her waist and pulled her closer. In a sense, she enjoyed it, the feel of his muscles, his scent, and the almost possessive and protective way he held her. However, she realized that it was only temporary and drew back, mildly disgusted, she drew away from him slightly. "Don't you get any ideas," she muttered before turning to the young man who she hoped was merely coming to say hi and wasn't still obsessed with her after all these years. She took a deep breath and put on her best cheerful smile. "Hi, Jason!" she said happily as if greeting an old friend. She noted the physical changes he had gone through. Once a slightly overweight thirteen year old, he seemed to have grown out instead of growing up having gained a few more pounds over the past few years. He was about Seira's height with a round face that had small beady watery blue eyes, which Seira thought were his best feature, yet were wasted on him. He had a mop of dirty blonde hair on top of his head and it seemed that either he didn't know what face wash was or he had never washed his face in his life, for it was giving off a greasy shine and had pimples, a lot of them quite fresh. He wore a blue polo that was much too small for him and strained against his enlarged stomach and a pair of jeans that looked like they hadn't been washed and that he had just taken them out of the dirty clothes and thrown them on.
Seira wondered if his weight problem couldn't be helped, but she then remembered his parents and how physically fit they were. She wondered if they had tried to get their son into shape, or if they didn't care. He looked like he lived, breathed, and ate junk food all the time. Seira wasn't shallow by any means. But being that overweight couldn't be healthy, could it?She was interrupted from her mental assessment of him when he spoke. "I never thought I'd find you here," he said. His eyes raked over her, lingering at the more private parts of her body the longest. Seira suppressed a shudder and forced a grin. "Yeah well, you know. A girl has got to eat. It's one of her basic needs." She hoped that if she appeared uncomfortable, he would take the hint and leave. Yet, he seemed to notice Aiden for the first time and his eyes narrowed. "Who is this?" he said in a slightly darker tone of voice, glaring at Aiden. Seira thanked the gods above that Aiden was standing right there. Without thinking, she took his hand and smiled like someone smitten. It was amazing how well she could act. "Oh, I'm sorry. This is my boyfriend, Aiden. Aiden, sweetie, this is Jason." Great, now she was giving him pet names? When did they agree on this? Luckily, or unluckily, Jason interrupted her thoughts. "Her boyfriend, huh?" He turned to Seira. "I've never seen you hanging out with him before." So many alarms went off in Seira's head.
How would he know who she hang out with. Was he stalking her? If he was, why wasn't she aware of it? As a Gate Keeper, she thought that she had heightened senses. Could it be other thoughts about other situations had clouded her mind and prevented her from sensing that she was being watched? Or was she just mentally overreacting again? Seira blinked, feigning an innocent expression. "You're probably mistaken. We're around each other all the time." It was mostly true. They did hang out a lot. But not in the way that she wanted Jason to think. Jason narrowed his eyes and approached Aiden, staring up at him. Aiden could probably turn him into a pink and blonde blue eyes mopable blob on the floor, but Seira hoped that he wouldn't cause a scene. "I really don't like you. You seem like one of those douchebags who thinks he's God's gift to women everywhere. I don't believe that Seira would actually go out with you. Something is going on here and I'm going to get to the bottom of it." Seira briefly closed her eyes wishing he would go away. This had gone from annoying to slightly creepy. It was bad enough that she had to run into him, but now it was possible that he could have been stalking her as well.

After toying with Seira a bit Aiden looked up to see a short, zit covered, boy of sorts. He was obviously overweight and his clothes seemed to be the only things holding him together. Aiden peered down on him, looking as if he had just discovered a new species of human. The man approached him as he held Seira next to him. Aiden tilted his head as the man spoke, not as much listening as he was taking note of the immense acne housed on the man's face. His slightly annoying voice cracked with every word. Aiden scratched his head as the over weight male concluded.
His postured straightened, and a large almost devilish smile covered Aiden's face. "Awww look at you..." said Aiden as if talking to a pet. "You're like an annoying brother than every sibling disowned." Aiden took a step toward the short fat man. "Listen.......Jason. I'm not going to bury you inside the hole you've already dug for yourself. Pray you find me in good spirits again. Carry on about your business....quietly. Should you cross my path again, in such a manner, I'll do you the favor and remove each of those pimples of yours, in the most painful way possible. K?" Aiden said with a smile and a nod. His soft blue eyes peered through the boy, as if staring into his very soul.
The arms trader returned to the front counter with a box of sniper rounds. The box appeared to be moderately heavy from the looks of how the cardboard box was holding up. "Here's everything I could muster up for you. Should be around 50 or so rounds in there. It's all thats left." The man said. Aiden released Seira momentarily, taking his eyes off of Jason and grabbing the box. "Thanks chief..." Aiden swiftly took hold on Seira's hand making his way past Jason. "We'll be leaving now, sport.. Take care of yourself, and be sure to buy something for that aching face." The two left the arms market, leaving Jason behind. "You owe me big time... A lingerie penthouse date, maybe?" Aiden said shrugging his shoulders as if it was no big deal.

Seira let out a sigh of relief as Jason, after being insulted in the most subtle way by Aiden, turned and walked off. Well, he actually waddled like a deformed overweight duck. With their purchases in hand, they left the arms market with Seira letting go of Aiden's hand right away now that his duty was over. Although part of her wanted to hold on for a bit longer. She didn't want to admit it, but she loved the feeling of the strong and confident way he held onto her. The fact that he smelled good didn't hurt either. Aiden's next words, however, caused Seira to draw her arm back and elbow him rather firmly in the ribs. "Yeah right. Get your mind out of the gutter. It'll be a cold day in Hell before I ever model lingerie for you," she said scowling at him as she hooked her bag of purchases and her purse securely onto the back of the bike before securing her helmet tightly and climbing on behind him. "Sorry I had to put you through that," she said softening slightly towards him. After all, it wasn't his problem. Yet, it was the only thing she could think of to get rid of her stalker. "But thanks for backing me up just the same," she said, her lips curling into a tiny smile as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
They were soon on the road again and Seira gave him directions to Mariah's house, which was a lake-front property. Because Mariah enjoyed her solitude and privacy, she lived almost in the middle of nowhere. In fact, the lake she lived by was practically the only body of water in Zion. However, besides Mariah's house, there were only two other houses, but they were placed on other corners of the rather large lake. "There it is," Seira called over the roar of the engine pointing to a small house that was a few hundred yards from the lake. It resembled a cottage more than anything. As they neared the house, Seira saw the door open and out walked a familiar young girl who was about six. Seira recognized her immediately. "Looks like Mariah is baby-sitting today," she said as she indicated that Aiden should park his bike. Behind the young girl with curly rich reddish brown hair and dark brown eyes came an older and very attractive young woman with long light pink hair cut into choppy layers. She was rather voluptuous with an ample bosom and a flat stomach with slightly widened hips giving her some curves that were accentuated by the simple outfit she wore, which was a teal colored tank top, over which she wore a white unbuttoned button down top with sleeves down to her elbows, tied off and a pair of faded shorts and black flip flops. "Cadence, don't go out too far," Mariah said before approaching Seira and embracing her in a one armed hug. "You look good," she said before noticing Aiden. Her eyes narrowed. "Who are you?" she asked suspiciously as her niece known as Cadence joined her aunt once again and hid shyly behind Mariah's leg.

Aiden clenched his stomach with his free arm after Seira struck him with her elbow, nearly making him drop his box of ammunition. Aiden groaned as he hunched over in pain. These Gate Keepers were stronger than they looked. "I was only joking, ya know?" Aiden said raising his eyebrows toward Seira as they made their way to his bike. He was slightly out of breath. "Don't get me wrong though, I wouldnt turn you down if you offered." He put the box in the seat of the motorcycle, closing the seat after the bullets were comfortably inside. Aiden hopped on and Seira followed suit. He always loved the feeling of her arms wrapping around him. Sometimes no matter how far apart Seira may have wanted them to be, in her disgust of him sometimes, he always found her holding him tight as of recently.
The two sped of with Seira leading the way. They made their way to a remote part of Zion where very few traveled. A few homes appeared in the near distance as the two approached the cottage like home. A young girl exited the home full of joy. Aiden's soft side immediately kicked, but only momentarily. He couldnt help but feel overwhelmed with disgust. Aiden wasn't one to go out of his way to ponder about in the company of children. They were..... a hand full. He took a deep breathe looking over his shoulder as the child sped off past him, and then back toward the house. However, he did have to admit, the company of children often brought about peaceful, innocent thoughts. A woman left the home, shortly after the child. She seemed a bit more mature than he or Seira, and she was absolutely gorgeous. "Looks like Mariah is baby-sitting today" said Seira. Aiden stepped beside Seira scrolling his eyes across her in the near distance. ".... Mariah." Aiden said softly. 'Who are you?' the mysterious woman called out. Aiden knew she was a Gate Keeper from what he was told. What powers might she hold? He introduced himself. "Nothing to fear here... I'm Aiden.. Aiden Reed. I've heard quite a bit about you already. Very interesting...." said Aiden as his voice trailed off. "Here, a peace offering." Aiden dropped to one knee, digging into his bag that hug by his hip. He pulled from it an apple he had brought from the market just a few minutes ago, and presented it to the young girl to take from him. "Cadence is it..? Here have this" He said looking up to her as he kneeled.

A brief moment of jealousy crossed Seira upon noticing the way Aiden was staring at Mariah. It was the normal reaction to most members of the opposite sex when they saw Mariah. She had been stunning a few years back and had only blossomed since then. As Seira pulled her purse from her bike, Aiden introduced himself to Mariah who arched an eyebrow at him before looking past him at Seira. "I thought you told me that he was an egotiscial toad and the only way you would hang out with him was when pink and purple polka dotted pigs flew," she said suspiciously. Seira's cheeks tinged pink. "Um...yes, well...I was probably really drunk that day. You know I say stupid things when I'm buzzed." She mentally willed Mariah to drop the subject, however, Mariah's lips curled into a smirk. "Funny, I remember that you were completely sober. But maybe my memory is going in my old age."
Meanwhile, Cadence was studying Aiden quite curiously, a soft blush upon her cheeks. How cute, Seira thought. The little girl had a crush. Cadence looked up at Mariah who nodded in approval before the young girl accepted the apple from him. "Thank you," she said before she looked at Seira scowling slightly. Seira blinked, rather confused before Cadence spoke rather boldly. "You are now my rival. I won't lose against you. I'm going to marry him someday!" With those words, she flounced off inside the house leaving Seira scratching her head in bewilderment before looking at Aiden and speaking teasingly to him. "Well now, you're quite the ladies man, aren't you?" "Don't be too flattered. Next week she'll forget all about you and become obsessed with someone else," she said before stepping aside. "You guys wanna come in for a minute? You came all this way. The least I could do is allow you to sit down before you head out again." Seira looked at Aiden and nodded towards the entrance to indicate that they should go inside. Mariah's living room was filled with eclectic furnishings. There was no set theme, but it all meshed well together. The biggest piece of art on the wall, if it could even be called art was a poster of Mariah, herself dressed in a black bra-like bustier and a pair of skintight pants and red thin strapped open toed heels. She was posed in a rather provocative way. Above the picture was her name, Mariah, in metallic calligraphy type letters and underneath as a subheading was the word "Star Jewel".
"Mariah used to be quite the pop star," Seira explained. "Of course, given certain circumstances, she only sold one CD, but she had to quit her career as an idol so she never got very famous." Mariah sat down on the dark blue recliner and crossed her legs. "That was such a lifetime ago," she said looking up at the poster. "So, what kind of work do you to, Aiden?" she asked focusing her attention on him.

Aiden smiled as the young girl took the apple from his palm. A soft laughter escaped his mouth as he stood back up to his feet. Aiden always did love to make others smile. It was a remedy for the sorrows some people often felt following the Blanket of Darkness. His pleasant attitude was soon chased away by the harmful words Mariah shared with the group, supposedly said by Seira pertaining to him. Aiden wasn't one to take things to heart. His peaceful nature almost always forced him to turn the other cheek. It was one thing his younger brother had taught him, before he died. In times past Aiden was a hardened man, who trusted few and accompanied fewer. His family was all he had, but his younger brother helped him grow open. Grow more accepting of others.
Aiden folded his arms looking over to Seira. "Hmmmm.... Is that right?" said Aiden as he leaned away from Seira in playful disappointment. He shook his head making his way into the cottage home. The house was very welcoming and easy on the eyes. Aiden looked up to see a portrait of Mariah. He licked his lips admiring her tastes. ""Mariah used to be quite the pop star... Of course, given certain circumstances, she only sold one CD, but she had to quit her career as an idol so she never got very famous." Seira explained. Aiden looked around, carefully taking note of his surroundings. As he grew comfortable he sat down on a nearby couch. "So, what kind of work do you to, Aiden?" Mariah asked Aiden. He rested his elbows on his quads as he leaned forward, stitching his fingers. "Me, well.... I'm a bounty hunter. I hunt fugitives, criminals....and demons on most occasions." He said looking up toward Mariah.

Seira sat down on the loveseat that was near the couch where Aiden sat. She crossed her legs and leaned back, making herself comfortable. She was silent as Mariah began her interrogation of Aiden. It was her custom be suspicious of anyone who wasn't a Gate Keeper or a Guardian, so that meant everyone besides Seira, Syrina, or her own Guardian, Kyura who had just come into the room. The feline guardian's black silk feathered wings were folded against her sleek black body, perfectly camouflaged. At this point, she was the size of a regular house cat. Kyura leaped gracefully onto Mariah's lap and settled down, focusing her eyes on Aiden. "A bouty hunter? Sounds intriguing," Mariah said. "It's nice to see others besides us Gate Keepers fighting against these demons." She idly stroked Kyura's sleek fur causing the cat to purr. "What do you think, Kyura?" she asked.
Kyura rested her sapphire eyes upon Aiden for a brief moment before speaking as clearly as anyone. "Very interesting that he is able to hold his own against these demons. A normal human would perish from coming even face to face with the weakest of them. I would like to see him in action one of these days." "Kyura is Mariah's guardian," Seira explained. "The form you see her in now is not her real form." Kyura stretched out her wings, her feathers flexing before folding back. "I suppose you could call this my travel size," she said stretching out her long legs before licking her right paw. "I couldn't exactly travel around easily out in the open in my true size," she said.

A black cat jumped into the lap of Mariah upon entering the house. He didn't give the feline too much attention. "I do what I can..." Aiden said with a nod, twirling his thumbs over top of one another. Mariah looked down to the cat that rested in her lap and began to speak to it as if it were human. To his surprise, the cat began to speak, and quite fluently at that. "What the hell?!" Aiden said as he stood. He quickly drew one of his two guns, aiming it straight toward the cat. His breathing slightly intensified as the others looked at him, seemingly unscathed by his drawn weapon. Aiden glanced at each one of them slowly making his way back down into his seat. He was quite embarrassed now. Who could blame him? "Forgive me Mariah....and Kyura. It isn't everyday I'm greeted by a talking cat." Aiden said rubbing his head as he looked at Kyura. He tucked away his gun, hidden beneath his white and blue clothing. "Kyura is Mariah's guardian," Seira explained. "The form you see her in now is not her real form." Kyura went on to display her elegant wings and how apparently she was much larger. Aiden had never felt smaller amongst these individuals. They were like gods yet, in knowing them, he could see their humility. "Well... It's a pleasure to meet you both. My skills have been sharpened during the past 5 years. Since the coat of darkness blotted out the sun, I've had a lot more time on my hands."A large rumbling occurred just outside of the home. Something had made its way to the lakefront and it didn't appear to sound to friendly. "What was that?" Aiden called out and he rose and walked to the window. As he peered out, there was a number of different vehicles that sat in Mariah's front lawn. "Get out here Aiden! We know you're in there!" An older man called out. It was a man Aiden had purchased his unique sniper rifle from a while back. "This isn't good" said Aiden as he made his way outside. He knew exactly why they were here. There were three jeeps carrying around 4 people in each. All of them were heavily armed. The old man carried an assault rifle in hand. The group was obviously funded by rebels of the Zion militia and had no intention of leaving. "Listen Hans... I bought that rifle from you fair and square. I need it much more than you do. You shouldn't be here and you need to leave. Now!" Aiden said slightly raising his voice. The old man stepped out of the jeep throwing a cigarette from his mouth. "Listen boy... With all the fuss going on outside the dome. The last thing we want is to be outgunned if this place comes tumbling down. You can hand over that rifle." Aiden glared at Hans with disgust. He wasn't with his leader, Kiba. He would never tolerate this if he were here.

Seira did not blame Aiden for his reaction towards Kyura. After all, she supposed that anyone in his position would be shocked by a talking cat. Neither did Kyura. In fact, the feline, like Guardian merely blinked her large sapphire eyes and yawned as if she found Aiden's outburst quite dull. Seira opened her mouth to ask Mariah how her family was doing when she heard a large rumbling sound, like a vehicle pulling up outside. Exchanging a bewildered look with her fellow Gate Keeper, she stood up from her spot on the love seat and followed Aiden outside, trailed closely by Mariah and Kyura who had folded her wings down, therefore camouflaging them.
There were several vehicles outside, each filled with several heavily armed men. Seira shifted her eyes to each and every one of them, counting them. There were twelve, plus the older man, which made thirteen in all. What were they all doing here? From the way Aiden spoke to the older man, it seemed like he knew them. Cadence who appeared to have heard the commotion, came outside and stared at the heavily armed men in the vehicles before looking up at Mariah. "Aunt Mariah. What's going on?" she asked with an understandable curiosity of anyone. Mariah shushed her gently and shushed her six year old niece behind her, shielding her protectively from these men. Seira stepped forward bravely. "Why do you want his rifle back? Should he not be allowed to protect himself as well?" she asked folding her arms across her chest, nodding at Aiden whom she was speaking for. "Why should he give back the one thing that protects him from the dangers in this city?"

The older man began to slowly walk toward the cottage like home, carrying a boastful demeanor about him. It almost as if his pride could be seen in a physical form. He came to a halt, about 12 feet from the front porch and looked up toward the woman. "Listen here miss. One of two things is going to happen here... You're going to had over that rifle to me........ OR... My fellow companions and I are going to burn this cozy 'cottage home' of yours down to the ground and take that rifle by force." the cold man said with a grin. He looked over his shoulder shaking his head, then back toward the Seira and the others. Don't make this hard on yourself kid.... When resources grow scarce, it's all about survival of the fittest here.....and I damn well aint dying soon." Hans said as he rested his hand on his hip. Aiden took a deep breathe closing his eyes. He looked back into the eyes of Mariah in apologetic fashion. He didn't want what was to come, although he knew Seira and Mariah could handle this situation solely on their own. It was in Aiden's best wishes to keep there abilities a secret. He didn't want to lose their trust. Looking back toward Hans, he began to speak. He removed the long rifle from his back and presented it to Hans, his eyes narrow. "Take it.... and leave this place." Aiden said with a snarl. A soft rumble echoed from the ceiling of the dome, barely noticeable yet still attention grabbing. Hans snatched the rifle away with a menacing grin, examining it thoroughly with pleasure. "I knew you'd come around! Ha! I was thinking I'd have to put a few rounds into that skull of yours just to knock some sense into you." Hans said as he turned to walk away. Aiden was angered, but he knew, in letting him have the rifle, he may have saved their lives, AND kept Mariah and Seira's secret under the radar. Although still, his frustration was never more lively.

Seira glared in loathing at the man who stripped Aiden of his rifle and therefore, his most vital way of protecting himself. Stealing a glance at Aiden, she could see the emotion of anger in his face, the restraint he was putting himself through. Mariah's own eyes revealed her own anger at these men who had interrupted her peaceful afternoon and threatened her home and their lives, yet they also showed sympathy for Aiden and also gratefulness that hers and Seira's deepest secrets would not be revealed. She hugged Cadence to her as the little girl hid her face against her aunt's leg, as a way of shielding herself from these men. They all watched as Hans and his heavily armed men left the property, now with Aiden's rifle. Seira, not realizing that she had been holding her breath for so long, let it out in a loud whoosh. "Sorry, Aiden," she said. She wanted to touch him on the shoulder as a sign of comfort, but refrained when she saw how tense he was. "I actually really hope we see that guy again," she said glaring hatefully in the direction that Hans and his men had driven off in.
Mariah stepped up and cleared her throat, letting go of Cadence who now relaxed now that these horrible men were gone. "I wonder why they were so adamant in harassing Aiden though. Doesn't he deserve to be able to protect himself as well? What right do they have to take his weapon from him and then threaten all of us?" Mariah glanced at Seira. "Seira, I remember you used to carry around a rifle or two whenever you first started out as a Gate Keeper and your powers were still developing. Do you still have it?" Seira frowned, wondering what Mariah was talking about before her eyes widened in realization. "Oh, right! Aiden, I know it won't be the same as the rifle that was taken from you, but you're welcome to borrow my rifle for the time being," she offered with a shrug. "I don't really have the need for it anymore, so it's just gathering dust in my closet at home." It was the least she could do for him, and as a way of saying thank you for not revealing Mariah's and her secret.

Aiden looked down at his feet, gritting his teeth behind his lips. Although the recent turn of events was very unfortunate on his behalf, Aiden rarely dwelled. Anger wasn't very productive and Aiden didn't want to entertain his any further. He stepped down from the porch, stretching out his arms and taking a deep, soothing breathe. His dual wielded pistols could be seen, underneath his long white and blue coat, in the holsters at his waist. Seira called out to him "Aiden, I know it won't be the same as the rifle that was taken from you, but you're welcome to borrow my rifle for the time being," she offered with a shrug. "I don't really have the need for it anymore, so it's just gathering dust in my closet at home. With his back turned to them, Aiden reached down within the collar of his shirt, grabbing the crystal fragment that hung from his neck. He pulled the fragment out into his view gazing at it for a brief moment with thanks that it too hadnt been taken from him. He said softly to himself. "This is all I need" the very gem fragment that had made him nearly immortal amongst man was more than enough in times like these. He tucked it away back into his shirt and faced Seira and Mariah."I'll take it off your hands if you don't mind. Demon breath isn't exactly a delicacy for me, so if I create some distance when the time comes, that would be just fantastic." Aiden said nodding at Seira. There was an another soft rumble in the near distance. Nothing to be too alarmed about. Hans and his crew had long since vanished.

Seira nodded in regards to Aiden's agreement to take the rifle off her hands. She had no more use for it and it was just gathering dust in her closet. "Right, I'll give it to you next time you come over," she said. "Just try not to get this one taken away as well." There was a brief moment of silence as they wondered what they should do before Cadence spoke up boldly. "I'm hungry! Can we eat now that those douche nozzles are gone?" Mariah looked down at her niece in surprise. "Cadence! You know better than to use that sort of language," she chastised firmly. Cadence frowned up at her aunt. "But, Aunt Mariah, you used to say it all the time." Mariah flushed slightly for a moment, but then regained her composure.
"That is because I am a grown woman and a grown person gets a free pass to say things like that. You, on the other hand, are only six years old and should not be saying such words. If you must insult someone, use the word jerkface or something like that." Cadence seemed to consider this before nodding. "Okay! Can we eat now? Mariah looked up at Aiden and Seira. "If you two would like, you're welcome to stay and eat. I know it's a long drive back to Seira's apartment. The least I can do is offer you a meal, Aiden for keeping those guys from burning down my house." Seira raised her hand. "You know I'm in. I haven't eaten anything since this morning." She looked at Aiden to include him in the conversation. "You don't have to worry, Mariah's cooking has actually gotten better over the years. Mariah rolled her eyes. "Wow, thanks a lot, Seira," she said sarcastically. "I'll go start dinner. Aiden, you can decide if you want to stay for dinner or not. If you need to leave, you can go ahead and I'll bring Seira home after she eats," she offered. Seira was mentally hoping that Aiden would stay. After all, she couldn't remember him mentioning if he had eaten or not.

Aiden looked down towards his stomach, resting his left hand near his bellybutton. He looked up towards the others. "I could go for some food. It's been a while since we've sat down for a meal." said Aiden as he walked back towards the house" "Cayena stole the only food I had brought along with me, so I'm sure a meal would be more than satisfying." said Aiden joking towards the young girl. He weaved past the others, making his way back inside and into the living room. It was beginning to grow dark, or rather, the officials of Zion were turning down the lights to simulate nightfall. Aiden turned on the TV mounted on the wall of Mariah's home and took a seat in a nearby chair. The news was playing and the demon horde threat before earlier that afternoon had passed over and things seemed to be much calmer outside. The cameras mounted outside the dome were part of its defense system, and kept an eye on everything happening outside."Well well well... Isn't that nice?" said Aiden in sarcastic fashion. The last thing he wanted was for his rifle to be snagged away just prior to the demon threat disappearing. How fortunate... He dropped his head back and pinched his forehead with his fingers. "What's on the menu tonight?" said Aiden, trying to disregard Hans and the stolen rifle.
