The werewolf had nearly made it to the door when Shun jumped at his back. He didn't have a lot of options at the time on where to go, while he was fast youth won over age, but he still managed to catch the reaper's wrists as they came around the blades stopping only centimeters from his throat. If the reaper really tried he might be able to do some damage but the werewolf seemed strong enough to hold him at bay.
With another sigh the man simply stepped out of the door with Shun in tow. The impending danger of having his throat slashed didn't seem to phase him. And then with one quick movement he slammed back against the door frame to squash Shun between it and his huge form.

While the larger man kept his blades at bay, Shun did what he could to try and cut him up. Anything that might slow him down. Then, with another grunt, pain flooded him once more as he ended up getting slammed into the door frame. The reaper dropped his blades, then fell to the ground in a crumpled heap.

"I'll give you one thing, you're fast." There was a bit of a limp as the man walked forward though he managed to keep his balance just fine. Apparently the blade to the foot had at least done something and his knee was aching something fierce but now wasn't the time to pay attention to his pains.
The werewolf didn't bother to kick away the blades because he knew the reaper would only summon them again but he did take the effort to give the kid a good swift kick in the side while he was down.

Shun was struggling to get back to his feet when he took a swift kick to his ribs. The force had been enough to send him several feet away. With a low groan, he rolled onto his back, breathing heavily. He was in a considerable amount of pain now, having been beaten down pretty good. Everything was going to be hurting for awhile too; he just knew that.

The lycan probably could have done a considerable amount of damage more but decided to leave the reaper where he was. Maybe he would get the hint this time and stay out of it. Without a word he headed out into the front lawn, grunting a bit with every step he made on his injured leg. When he was a couple of steps out he took a whiff of air trying to determine where his target was. After the direction was made clear the werewolf shifted to his true form, a swift action that took only seconds and produced a rather large feral looking black wolf with hints of gray in his coat. With that done he was off in search of the goblin to track him down.
The goblin, however, had come around the opposite side of the house and was peeking around the corner nervously. "Psst. Mr. Kuroda." Adam had gone off running through the neighborhood but had doubled back and circled his home. Now that the bounty hunter had left it might be the perfect opportunity to relocate elsewhere in the opposite direction.

It felt like ages had gone by before he heard the goblin's voice whispering to him. Turning his head to the side, he spotted Adam nearby. Oh. He came back. With a grunt, he slowly pushed himself up to his feet, then leaned against the wall. He forced himself to keep from nursing his ribs, and just looked down at the goblin.
"We need to move," he said after a few heavy breaths, "It probably won't be long before he gets back."
Shun couldn't really deal with the lycanthrope on his own like that, but if nothing else, he could keep him busy for awhile.

"R-right." Adam had ditched his car but he had another one in the garage. "I have another car." He fumbled until he managed to get his key out for it. "Should we take it or make a run for it?" The goblin could run fast when highly motivated and in this situation he was certainly motivated.

Shun considered their options. It'd take too long to call for a taxi to get here, so that option was out. If things got tough, he could give the two of them a very minor boost with the use of his artifact. Fifty feet wasn't really going to help that much in the long run, however. While he was quick on his feet, he wasn't so certain he could outrun a werewolf in their true form, though this one had an injured leg now. Unfortunately, he was pretty battered right now, which also hampered his ability to run.
"We'll start with your car, then hide it somewhere. A werewolf in its true form is probably faster than the two of us. Once we find a place for it, we'll continue on foot."

Adam nodded and headed for the garage in a hurry. "There is a place not far from my office that will probably be good to leave it." He unlocked the garage and headed inside, hitting the button to raise the door. Inside there was a rather large town car, it was kept in good shape but much like the goblin's suit it was terribly outdated.
Getting in Adam started the engine and waited for the reaper before he pulled out of his driveway and into the street. He would have gone at a normal speed but when he looked in the rear view mirror he could see what looked like a giant shadow of a wolf behind them. "AHHHH!" So he gunned it.

Yes, the car was a good call. Shun turned around, spotting the shadow of the wolf as well. Unfortunately, there wasn't really anything he could do about it from where he was. He had throwing blades, but those were next to useless to be throwing out from here.
So instead, he just watched their surroundings, hoping there wouldn't be any other surprises.

The wolf had started toward them but apparently with the leg injury he couldn't keep up the pace. It had looked like the wolf was going to catch them at first but he slowly fell further and further behind until he was finally no where in sight.
It was only after a long moment that Adam finally let out a breath, his hands easing from the death grip he had on the steering wheel. "Is he gone?"

"For now. Keep your guard up. I had injured one of his legs, so he shouldn't be able to keep up too well, but that doesn't mean he can't catch up at any point. Keep going a little longer, then we'll find a place to ditch the car."

Adam nodded and kept driving, nervous tension radiating off him in waves. That had been a close call, a really close call. He hadn't managed to grab anything at his house but hopefully he could grab what he needed at the office.
After driving for quite a while Adam diverted back into town and parked the car behind a few towering buildings in a small lot that no one used. The car itself was fairly concealed by a dumpster and it was the best he could do if he was going to leave it.
"My office is about two blocks away. I need to paperwork I have there and there are a few things I need to get rid of."

If nothing else, Shun was able to let his body recover a bit after the beating he had received. A bruise had formed in the side of his head, where he had been punched, and he didn't doubt that he had more around the rest of his body. Once they had reached their destination, he helped with concealing the car, then nodded to Adam.
"Alright. Let's make it quick. Your hunter might expect you to go to your office, as with returning to home."
Hopefully someone wasn't already waiting for them.

Adam had really been trying to not focus on the idea of people laying in wait for him but Shun just had to bring it up. He only managed a nod as he headed around the building to the sidewalk trying to walk as casually as possible.
Mitsu was just leaving work at the bookstore waving to the manager as she walked out, a new book tucked under her arm. The old man was nice enough to let her borrow books here and there since Mitsu was careful and brought them back in the same condition. She was just about to turn and make the long walk back to her apartment when she saw a familiar face.
The lycan had started to smile but that expression slowly turned to concern when she saw the bruise spreading on the side of Shun's face. "Shun? What happened?" She approached her reaper, a hand reaching toward his face to gently inspect the damage.
