Hehe, yes, Wishbone was one of my all time faves. <3 I love how it taught you stuff without being boring.

That was one of mine and my mother's shows that we watched together when I was younger. I also had a computer game for it, where he got sucked into a computer and was living the life of the character in The Odyssey. It was cool but I could never beat it.

Oh, wow. I never had a PC or access to one until I was like 15, so I totally missed that. I think tomorrow I'm gonna try and see if I can find it somewhere for free download, hehe. Could be fun, who cares if I'm old, lol.

Here is a link to what the disc looked like: http://www.amazon.com/Wishbone-And-The-Amazing-Odyssey-pc/dp/B0006BKN5A Seeing this again makes me want to play it but I know I don't have a computer old enough to have it work. sweatdrop

Sometimes you can get old games to run if you do some tricky stuff. I can't remember exactly how, but I know in the past I have found a way to run games in a compatibility mode. Like run it in Windows 96 when I had Vista. I found it on abondonware, I'll let you know what happens.

Okay so I got it from here and it's legit. I got it to run, but once I try to leave on the ship it keeps saying "Can't verify publisher" or some such bull, and it won't go any further. But can't find any way to get in a compatibility mode. It's an ISO file, so with Daemon tools it runs like a disc. I feel like if I keep messing with it I can figure it out. But that might just be wishful thinking. I have Windows 8.1 so if you have anything lower than that I'd say it's worth a shot. I have my Vista PC here now, so I will try it on there if I can set it up to the TV. Not sure if it has the right plugins but I'm really hoping. I'll try that Wednesday on my day off, or maybe tomorrow. I'm already exhausted today. I think if my old PC won't connect to the TV I might steal the Vista off it and install it on this PC. I really hate Windows 8 with a passion. But I also hate starting over again, haha. I'd have to redo all my music, games, pictures.... esh. Such a hassle but Windows 8 sucks. If I do decide to do that I may put it off for a long time, haha. Edit: I did just notice it says that game is for MAC. Maybe that's part of the problem. xD

Okay... so I have now quoted you 3 times in a row in this thread. xD So I stumbled on this thing. It's called virtual box. (https://www.virtualbox.org/) I downloaded it, tried to run it, and when my Windows 95 tries to boot it gives an error. I didn't read anything about it, I just "winged" it. xD But some guy in a forum was saying he'd give his firstborn to play the Wishbone game again, lolz.. and someone gave virtual box as a solution. It downloaded super quick, and is probably easy to figure out if I bothered reading. So I guess this is another thing you can try if the game doesn't just work as is. I'm too tired to do anything more with it, so I think this is me done with it for today. Let me know if you get anywhere with any of this before I do. If I come up with anything else I'll let you know. It sure was cool hearing that dogs voice again, haha. Even if the game didn't fully work. I think this virtual box could be awesome. All those old games I could play again! And with abandon ware all over the place for free I could have soo many games, haha.

In your previous posts about ISOs, I actually have used them before (I'm replaying FFVIII on my laptop and it's been working great). I have a Mac so I have to work with it to see what I can do, but if I can get the Virtual Box up and running to bring a Windows 95 interface on my computer, I should be all set. I'll look it up when I have a better connection because the one I have on this school campus is terrible.

Hey I'm 26, haha. Nothing wrong with kids games. I like being able to actually beat something. xD Another good "kiddie" game is "Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak". I used to have it on Gameboy but I found a free one somewhere online on my last PC. You have to have a Gameboy emulator though. I did everything on my old PC damnit. I miss that thing. xD

Probably why I could never go for an iPhone because you can't get emulators on that phone. It doesn't have the hardware to handle it.

Yeah me too! Bijou is my favorite. I used to have a plushie of her. The game is easy but not too easy, and it has a lot of content really. Besides the main story line you can collect gems to make jewelery and buy clothes that you can take pics in. You can't wear anything around but it's cute to dress up. They also have a dance contest thing you can do over and over to make better dances. I actually find myself getting stuck on that game a few times and then when I figure it out I feel dumb sometimes. xD But it's good when a game can do that because once you get it you feel such relief, haha.
