"Does he want me to? I am not even sure why he didn't come tell me himself?" He just let out a soft breath of air and just tilted his head back a little. "Was he scared I was gonna tease him again? I don't tease about this stuff..I don't hate him, never did."

Jude sort of reached up and gave Maebe a small shoulder pat, "I don't know if it'd make him happy or sad if he knew that Mom would have loved him and doted on him as much as she did me. Or if I let him know that he would have been her life..."

Otto was never known to have a cool character when it came to tempers. Jude's nose would attest to that.

"Being the one that was adopted out makes all that seem like bullshit, y'know? I mean I would like .. to talk to him but only if he wants to. On his terms." He chuckled slightly.

"He didn't come because he didn't know if you even wanted to know. So I decided to test out the waters, because if I had a sister, I guess I'd want to know about her - but I could bet you any amount of money that no one would think I would." Her smile matched the one he chuckled with, and she leaned her head against his. "And I think he was a little worried about why. Why him, why not you, that kind of thing. This is all pretty scary. But he's not scared of you, I think. Just of the past."

Her hand patted his hair again. "So yes. Personally, I think you guys should talk. But I also think it's going to be awkward as hell and I wanted you both to be prepared for it before you had to deal with each other. So I became your guardian angel." She fluttered her eyelashes. "And such a pretty one, too."

If Jude wanted this to be on Otto's terms, then.. "So should I go back and tell him?"

"I can't think of why I wouldn't, but I can't think of why I would I guess? I mean it isn't like I can take him to meet him or have him at my side when we talk to Dad and tell him what an a*****e he was and s**t," he frowned a little. "I guess it's kind of nice knowing that ... I have family around here? In a weird way."

He couldn't argue with her comment about no one knowing if he wanted to know or not. Chances are Jude would have stumbled onto it some how purely by accident, if not looking for it.

"I mean ... Don't get me wrong. I am pretty damned confused about why him and not me. Why not both of us...I mean she had a fresh new baby, she could have tossed me aside and kept him." He smirked a little. "I lost the fresh smell by the time I was two, I am sure."

Jude shrugged a bit, "Either you tell him and relay the message to him or you chloroform him and drag him to me and he wakes up for a brother-to-brother chat. Whatever you guys want. I just learned that cornering him isn't always going to put him in a cheery mood."

Maebe leaned in and sniffed Jude's neck. "Ew, yeah. You're definitely not fresh. I don't know why she kept you either."

She hopped off of his lap before he could swat her away, and then tipped a fake hat. "As you wish. And don't worry, I'll put him in a real good mood before he comes to see you."

Jude made an odd face at the feel of her sniffing his neck, "Weirdo," he grumbled under his breath as he rubbed his neck as if to try to get the sensation of tickling breath intake off of his skin. It was probably good she got off his lap just then otherwise he might have shoved her off for sure for that.

He looked her up and down for a moment, "...You look like a hobo. Just so you know."

"The less I think of his 'o' face the better, thanks." Jude rolled his eyes.

She did look like a hobo. And she was already walking to the door, still wearing his two shirts, one of them wrapped around her head. She was leaving as a hobo, and ready to go right upstairs, as a hobo.

"Mmmm, his O face. I'm going to go give him his O face right now. Dressed like this even. Thanks Jude!"

Maebe felt like skipping out the door - so she did.

"...Yeah you can keep those shirts and stuff by the way!" He called out after her, letting her skip on out the door.

Jude peered around his room and sighed a bit, "Even here one cannot escape the family skeleton closet," he got up and started to straighten out his room again.
