The voice of laughter was heard from the eyephone. "Glad yer all doin' well. Glad to hear your pretty voice, ghoulie. Y'all stay safe."
"AND here we planned to put ourselves in immediate danger." Kettil rolled his eyes a bit. "We'll check in again later. We love you, Dad."
Coyote snorted, "Love ya'll too." and then a click.
"We are the most checked in. Want to rest first or continue about our business so we get home faster?" And by faster he meant more like getting the time to pass quicker by staying busy.

"Wait, I has an idea." She shoved his leg off of her, and grabbed him by the collar to pull him down with her on the couch. "But I wouldn't call it rest!"

His leg was shoved off and he was about to argue but then she grabbed him by the collar and he understood the intent. One couldn't say he wasn't ever up for some experimentation and so he went down with Freya.
THe night passed as they entertained each other. Then there was time to do some work. Kettil unwound himself from Freya's warmth reluctantly, "We should do our work around here so we can get back to our Peder~. Plus it smells funny up here," he wrinkled his nose.

It did kind of smell funny. She wasn't sure what died in this house, but she hoped it didn't come back to claim dibs on it. "Okays. I thinks today, we tries teh does the blendings in. I've never done that before. Yeh up for it?" She had no idea how she was going to hide her wings, but she was up for trying anything.

"Sounds good," Kettil agreed readily, but then he didn't have wings to worry about so it was easy for him to dive right in. "I am sure it'll be pretty easy for us, rig--," he'd been looking at her and then realized...
Oh right. Wings.
It should be alright, "Maybe we should figure out our parts! Sort of like in a play? Like um... we're tourists from ahh...'Far away'...? It might help us blend in if we get in the mind frame, right?"

He was noticing the same thing that she was suddenly worried about. She flattened her wings behind her as tightly as she could, and then she let them go and tried something different. Her arms lifted and she wrapped them around her body, pressing against her thin form until they formed a fluffy second skin. "Ja, tourists would be easiest." Especially with her accent. "Plus that means we gets teh takes lots of pictures!" She was pulling her shirt out from underneath the wings, leaving her topless. The shirt then came back down, covering over the bulk of her wings. She did the same with her skirt, until finally she was covered.. sort of. She looked bulky. Lumpy. Fat. "Wait," She hedged nervously. "I don't wants teh does this anymore." 1698 words reached here

To his credit, Kettil did what every good husband did.
He didn't laugh, he also leaned and kissed his wife on the cheek, "You're beautiful no matter what, don't matter what other say. But y'look mighty uncomfortable like that."
Kettil fell quiet as he thought about it for a second or two, "Wait here." Then he went on a thankfully short search through couple of rooms in the home, pretty much putting it disarray until he came back with what looked like a backpack, "Get yer wings out of there, silly ghoul," he offered her the backpack after he dumped the contents to the ground. Old text books that look like they were for various classes.

"What," Freya picked up the backpack, and held it up in the air. "Am I goings teh does," She put it on her head. "With a backpack?" He'd squelched her rising thoughts of being heavyweighted, but he'd also distracted her from her confusion with a backpack that could no more hold her wings than it could the rest of her.

He rewarded her question with a sigh, "I'm not the one that works with fashion all day," he replied back at her.
Kettil tossed the backpack at her and then resumed tearing apart the home but this time going into the closets. One of the closet said something about 'OLD LARPING GEAR'. . .
"What the ******** is a LARP..." Kettil muttered as he began to pull out crappily made chain mail and ineffective weapons...And cloak.
"I FOUND CLOAKS...!" They'll totally blend in flawlessly with cloaks.

"Ach, cloaks!" Now he was talking! Freya lunged for one, picking out the deep midnight blue and throwing it over her shoulders. As far as she was concerned, this was absolutely normal fashion. In fact, it looked like it blended in well with the rest of her outfit, with its snaps and buckles and fancy gear. Yes, she was ready to blend in. "How does I look?" Her wings were still bunched up underneath her, but the cloak hid the bulk well.

He let her go in and pick out whatever she wanted. He was perfectly fine in what he had on. Kettil gave her a thumbs up, "Looks good!"
To him it looked absolutely normal and thus he had no concerns.
Perhaps it should have but it didn't. Plus it made Freya happy, so it was all aces.
"Ready to go try and blend in, then?" He offered her his arm.

"I am." She skipped across the room, and down to the back door. Before she opened it, she paused, and thought really hard about what she was going to do. Then she concentrated, squishing her face and groaning with intensity, as she forced every inch of her Fear to be visible to be humans. It started near her toes, and traveled all the way up to her hair, but there was no one there to see it since Kettil could already see her just fine. So she had no one to test it on. Yet. She grabbed the doorknob, and waited for Kettil to suit up.

Kettil moved to follow after her and then saw her face squish up oddly and it reminded him that ... No one could see them yet, though he was not sure why that face reminded him other than the fact that she followed that face up with an expectant look.
He took a moment to concentrate to use his fear to make him visible to humans. It was difficult since they didn't have a human to test it on yet.
"I think I'm ready!" Kettil announced, his face finally relaxing from his deep concentration.

Once Kettil announced that he was ready, Freya bolted outside. She hopped around the corner of the house, and then slowed down, hesitantly stepping onto the sidewalk. Visibly. She felt bold for surging forward like that, but as soon as she realized the humans could see her, she looked like a deer in headlights. This was already going so well!

Kettil was a few seconds after her and was soon directly behind her. His head rested on her shoulder for the time being, "Pssst. Go on, do it."
He was going to goad his wife into taking the steps she needed to move forward.
"I dare you to." He said with a bit of a grin. Most others would have nudged her forward, but he knew better than that.
