Noemi smiled because that was nice, and that was normal.
And she was making Jake nervous so maybe she changed the subject.
"D...Do you like sports?" Noemi jumped to the next panel, feeling something shift and rolled out of the way before the panel burst into flames again. That was....REALLY CLOSE.

Jake cringed as the flames nearly lit the mist trainee on fire.
"Be careful!"
Just one more step and she'd clear the course. He really hoped she'd be able to do it.
"Um... perhaps? I... didn't really have much of a chance to play much before... becoming a hunter, but if I had to pick one, I guess it'd be soccer."

"I like soccer too!" Noemi clenched a small fist, "Because it's fun to watch! When Fifa world cup comes on, we root for Spain! Mami really likes soccer. She gets really into. Papi likes American football better."
She nodded, "Much American football. Such Soccer."
She jumped to next the panel. When nothing happened she looked over at Jake.
"I...I...I did it." She whispered. "I DID IT!" She cleared the course. SHE CLEARED THE COURSE.

He didn't... really know what else to say.
When she completed the course, he grinned and went over to where she was, careful not to trigger any tiles as he did so, and lifted a hand for a hi-five.
"Good job! See, you can do it."

Noemi reached up and gave the older death hunter a high five.
"Th...Thank you for coming with me! You're...You're very nice." She smiled at him, albeit shyly. "O...Oh do you want anything for a thank you gift!??"

Well, the "nice" part was debatable, but he smiled back, regardless. He'd accept the compliment.
"Ah, no, it's fine! This was good training for me too."
Really, he was surprised he'd done so well. He really needed to do those other training courses again, to make sure he hadn't gone rusty.
"Was there anything else you wanted to try, or do you want a breather for now?"
He paused.
"Maybe we should get out of these golems first."

"I'm glad!" She laced the golems fingers together. "I'm glad we could help each other out." She made a small 'heh' sound before shaking her head.
"Not today! I might try some tomorrow though." She nodded, "Do...Do you want to get lunch...or something? I don't wanna bother you if you're busy though!"

Jake smiled and nodded. It worked out for both of them.
"Lunch sounds good."
Nothing like working up an appetite from being maimed and blown up.
"Well, if you ever need me for anything, feel free to call me up. Your phone should have numbers to most if not all the the hunters in there, and if not, you can find me in Room 290."
He hadn't moved in with Sherry. Yet.Nyxtsuki Moon We can probs wrap up soon/next post xD

Noemi smiled brightly at the death hunter.
His offer of calling him up earned a very nice 'o' shape of the mouth as she fumbled with her phone.
"Th...Thank you! Wow!" She made another friend, Shu. SHE DID IT MILO. OLIVER. ANOTHER FRIEND.
"Th...Thank you Jake! If I do, then yes! I will come to you for help!" Or just....come bother him...if she could later. "Th...Thank you again for helping me!" She degolem'd herself, grabbed the Jake and had some great lunch.
