"I've got little kids in the house remember?" Sure, they could put it up, but little kids always got into EVERYTHING. Laine gave another startled squeak, her arm flying to wrap around his shoulders instantly as he actually picked her up. "I'm uh... sorry, about all that." She waved a hand listlessly in the counters direction as she ran her other hand through her bangs. "I can usually handle myself. I take some MMA classes every now and then so that ******** just lucky there was a counter in the way.. As for the other thing... Well, they were back at the table so... Laine seemed to shrink in her seat slightly as she looked at him out of the very top of her eyes, having the vaguest sense he had just figured it out. "There's a reason I said you could throw a few girls for a loop with your "Virgin Discounts" policy at work..." She muttered quietly, trying not to turn red, again.

"Right right, little siblings. I guess they're a bit of a pain?" He grinned and sat across from her before grinning again. "Yeah? Well, I wouldn't mind wrestling you some time. I could use a sparing partner to get back fighting shape." With a little noise, he took one of her hands and toyed with her fingers a little, playing with her nails, just looking them over. "Ooh? Do tell me.." He was cooking at her, grinning wide as he slowly leaned forward. Kor already had a feeling he knew, but he wanted her to say it. Assuming was a bad thing, as he learned from his experience with Kor and Krishna.

"Just a bit... I'll hafta drag you over to the house sometime so you can met them all." Laine said, grinning as she looked up at him. Then she laughed, louder then she had meant to but it didn't mean any less either way. "I'd bet you wouldn't mind... I think you wouldn't mind doing a lot with me..." "Oh my god, you're going to make me say it out loud aren't you? You suck." Laine groaned in defeat. "Fiiiiine. When you kept saying virgin discounts, I kept getting thrown for a serious loop because I am one.. There, happy?" Could she just, I don't know... die of blood rush to the face? Now? Please?

The fact she laughed while he picked her up made Kor grin a bit wide. That was good. That's what he'd been going for. Now as he settled, a hand came up to push through his hair and he just thumbed over her cheek after a moment, watching it seem to grow darker in color before she said it. Laughing again, Kor just thumbed her lips and nodded. "You know. I'm surprised. The way you talk, and move..." He looked at her, squinting lightly before looking her over. "Not to mention the way you dress? You sure? You're not like one of those weird half-virgins are you? What does that even mean?" He might be going off on tangent a little bit, but he was trying to put her in a laughing mood again. Some girls got really insecure and defensive about their virginity. Personally he could understand why, but he didn't... completely get it. "Eh, anyway, that's all good. We can take it slow, yeah?" He stuck his tongue out a little bit, giving her a wink.

Laine decided right then and there that Kor liked her hair more then she did. He'd probably keel over if she ever cut it... She seemed to focus just a little too hard on the thumb against her cheek, even more so when it brushed against her lips for a moment. "I've always been comfortable with myself..." Laine shrugged lightly. "The way I dress doesn't have anything to do with it. Some people instantly think that because I'm in something short and tight that I'm after one thing and one thing only." Laine couldn't count on both hands and feet about the number of times she had had that kind of a conversation with someone. "I've, ya know, had your typical make out sessions-," Lots of kissing and looooots of groping. "I've just never let it go that far. I may flirt with just about everyone, but that doesn't mean I'm going to give it to everyone." Laine raised a curious eyebrow as he asked more questions. "Yes I'm sure. I'm pretty sure I'd notice.." What the ******** was a half virgin? She had never even heard of it, let alone knew what it mean. "Slow works..." Though they might have to learn the definition of slow themselves, given the way they reacted last time. "Kor, if you keep sticking your tongue out like that I can not, and will not, be held responsible for what happens. So unless you want a repeat of work I suggest you put that away before you're left walking awkwardly for the rest of our date." Laine had enough sass in her to sip on her coffee while grinning like a cheshire cat.

"Being comfortable with yourself is actually a lot harder than some think. I'm kinda envious of you for getting a hang of it so earl on," he mused to himself, grinning as he listened and nodded. At least she didn't take too much offense. He sipped on his coffee when it came to them and just sighed comfortably. It was cold and delicious and just hit the perfect spot in him to cool him off. Then she made the comment about his tongue and he stuck it out at her childishly just to show that he didn't care and just grinned a bit more. Looking to his lap and then back up at Laine, he leaned forward and kissed her full on the lips and in a way that was almost too lewd for public. With a s**t-eating grin himself, he leaned back and licked his lips before sipping his iced coffee again. "You were saying?"

"I guess having siblings kinda helped with that... We all learned quick what we liked and didn't like. What we could and couldn't handle." Laine shrugged. "It's never to late to start learning... The white haired girl just rolled her eyes as he did exactly what he told her not do. Though she should have seen it coming, the kiss caught her severely of guard and she seemed to stare in a haze for a moment before snapping too. "...That's it, I'm getting you a shock collar." She laughed as she dropped her head into her hand. "I swear you just do things sometimes because I mention them... "I was saying, Sugar, that it doesn't matter how old you are. As long as you are happy with yourself, then that's all that matters. If someone doesn't like how you do something, or how you act then that's their problem and they can just ******** off. You just need to be happy with you." Laine took another sip of her own coffee before taking the straw and effectively destroying the 'lovely art'. "Did you wanna try?"

At the promise of a shock collar Kor just laughed and leaned forward. "You threatening a shock collar or are you promising? I'm alright with either, mistress," He said teasingly low and then nodded. "You caught me." He listened to her words and then gave a little nod. "Well, yeah. Some people don't find that out till late in life." He grinned a little and watched her destroy her coffee art before poking her cheek with his finger and snatched her cup away, sipping lightly. It was... interesting, really. Clearing his throat, he made a face and just pushed it back in her direction before snatching up his own. "I like mine better. I mean it's not bad for frou-frou coffee, but it's not bad.." Kor laughed a little and gave a wink before stretching himself out again. "So, Laaaaine, got anymore questions for me? Trying to get to know each other on a personal level, you know."

"Haven't decided yet... You'll obviously know when I do." Laine was beginning to have the feeling that Kor would know a lot about what she'd be doing in the future. "It's never too late to start learning." Laine said again. If that meant some learned later then others, that was okay. She laughed when he made a face and slowly pushed it back. "It's not cold you mean..." It was adorable how he didn't like the heat. Did this mean he just froze every winter? She turned and glanced out the window as she heard a faint rumbling. A car? It sounded too low... Maybe it was going to rain. The weather hadn't reported anything about rain but then again, weather could change in the blink of an eye. "Huh??" She said blinking as she crashed back to reality. "Oh. Uhm... Typical stuff I guess? Favorite color, things you like and don't like, fears, dreams. That sort of stuff."

Kor snickered into his coffee before looking at her again, eyes shining slowly before humming. The rumbling caught his attention after a moment and he shrugged. Well, he didn't pack for rain, but the forecast hadn't called for it either. Maybe it wouldn't. ....Hopefully it wouldn't, dark didn't settle well with him. Rubbing the back of his neck, Kor hummed at her question. "It's not cold, but for hot coffee it's not bad. You should stay the night one night and I'll make you some amazing coffee the next morning." Well yes, Kor just invited her to his house overnight. Moving fast? A little, but he never said they had to do anything. "Ah, before you get the wrong idea.. I'd sleep on the sofa couch and you'd sleep in the bed. I only have one bedroom, so..." Then the questions were poised and Kor leaned back and hummed. "...My favorite color is green.. I don't like peppers. Red, green.. The only time I'll eat a pepper is if it's in Tabasco form. I... don't like confined places? It's not claustrophobia, exactly. It's more uncomfortable than me going into full blow panic mode. I hate trains. They're filthy and I used to live in one when I was homeless. ....It was while I was a kid, don't worry about it. Broken down subway car." He waved his hand a little and then hummed. "...Fears? ....Dying alone. Dreams? Being rich and famous off my tattoos. Finding a pretty little lady to settle down with, maybe a kid, maybe some cats if she doesn't want a kid. Who knows. But definitely rich and famous."

It was clouding over quickly and getting dark, she noted. Fortunately the clouds weren't too dark. The storm wouldn't be that bad, but it would be annoying. "Ah... maybe when it's colder I'll get you to try it again." Laine stared at him for a minute before shrugging lightly. "Okay. I'm holding you to that mister." She'd call em later and tell them that she wouldn't be home till sometime tomorrow. "I'm not gonna kick you out of your bed!" The white haired teen whined. "I can deal with the couch, seriously. I've slept on worse." The fact he liked green didn't surprise her one bit, she probably should have figured as such from his gauges. "Well, lucky for you, I can't stand peppers either." So that was just one more then they had in common. ...Minus the Tabasco form. Laine wasn't sure if she had ever had it before. She tucked away the info on confined places and trains, praying that she remembered for future reference down the road lest they want a really awkward situation. "You're not gonna die alone honey." Laine said as she pushed his bangs back again. She could atleast relate to this fear some... Powering up almost every night, she would occasionally have that brief moment of what if. What if she got hurt to the point she couldn't get help on her own. What if she couldn't call or reach anyone. Would she die alone and forgotten? Laine sighed and shook her head, trying to get the thoughts out of her head. "You'll be surrounded by people who love you." "Is that a short joke?" She teased. "Cause it sounds like a short joke. What are you gonna do one day, when I walk in to work and you're the short one?" The mental image alone made her laugh. It quickly died however, as another rumble sounded, this time much louder then the last sounded and the little cafe suddenly lit up as lightning shot across the sky. Laine stiffened, head wipping to the window. Of course. <********> It figured.. Great. "Uhm... You're turn... I think you need to ask more questions so we're evened out. I've asked way more then you have." She mumbled. Laine still hadn't turned from the window.

Kor stared at her when she said she was going to take him up on that offer and opened his mouth. What? He'd been joking! There wasn't a moment he expected her to really take him up on that. Christ, now he was really going to have to clean his house completely. Taking a deep breath, Kor just rubbed his eyes lightly and just grinned wide. "I am not above making a short joke... But.. uuuh... Are you coming home with me tonight? Is.. that what you're implying?" Kor was back to looking at her owlishly before rubbing a hand down his face, laughing to himself and just shook his head. "You're a firecracker, Laine. A real piece of work and you'd better watch out, because I will come at you hard and fast." He gripped her chin and then leaned in to kiss her lightly before toying with her bangs and then went back to his coffee. "Peppers are evil and I really don't understand them. It doesn't matter what color, I just.. want to vomit if I so much as taste a hint of them in my food." Fingers pained with chipped green nail polish drummed against the table top as it lightened and thundered around them and then blinked when she stiffened and seemed to get nervous. ...Was she afraid of thunder? He knew people who were, so he really couldn't joke about it. "....Well, I'm throwing your own questions back at you... and are you afraid of thunder?" Just then a loud crack of thunder and one of the brightest flashes of lightening happened, and that caused even Kor to jump a little. "Christ."

She grinned wide at him as he stared back at her. "...Maybe. Unless you don't want me too? You could always give me the run down on the shop?" It kinda made sense to her? Then again, Laine was always for off the wall ideas. "I can do it some other time if you want." "Is that a challenge or a threat Kor?" She asked lightly, knowing full well it wasn't the latter. "Because you know what I say to that? Bring it sweetheart." She smiled against the kiss, chuckling when he played with her hair. "They're just flat out nasty. I don't mind spice, I just don't like peppers at all. Laine jumped when another flash streaked across the side and she turned around and buried herself against Kor's arm. "Lightning." She mumbled. "I'm okay with rain and thunder, I just get really nervous and agitated with lightning." It was almost like it messed with her senses. It'll pass. She told herself. Just had to ignore it. Get distracted and don't focus on it. "Keep going. Ask me anything."

"I..." Kor's voice trailed off a minute before he laughed and just pushed his bangs up a bit, shaking his head in full amusement. "...You can come over yeah. I mean.. Well you already said you don't mind a dirty house. It's not like I'm a total pig or anything, but hey. Gotta impress future employees and... dates, right?" Kor really shouldn't be thinking about calling her his girlfriend. It was way too soon for that. "Feisty little thing. I dare you. I double dog dare you to give me your worst. ...Or best, whatever really. Show me how much of a hellion you are." Ah. Lightening was something to be terrified off. The story of how it struck the car right in front of his on a freeway wouldn't be the best story to tell her. She curled closer to him and Kor leaned down and kissed the top of her head. "...Hey it's alright. I got you, right? Just hold onto me. Drink your coffee and just pretend like it doesn't exist." She wanted more questions? Kor hummed to himself and looked down at her. "On a scale of one to jump me, how attracted are you to me?" Yep he might be preening, might be a little narcissistic, but he wanted to know.

"Sweetheart I am already beyond impressed. Believe me, you're good." If Kor wanted another date, he was gonna get it. "Seriously, if you were joking, we can do something another time. I'm not gonna break if you say no Kor." "Oh it is so on." She chuckled against his arm, relaxing a bit when he shifted closer to him. "I hope you know you have pretty much just sealed your fate. You've employed one hell of an imp." ....Crap. She just called herself short. Damn it. The girl raised a curious brow at the question, before seemingly staring off into space as she thought. "Hmm... Full on rugby tackle." She said as she played with her coffee some more before taking another drink.
