She ran through the maze, exactly like what the voices had said.

They weren't real, they obviously weren't real.

She made her choices rationally, it wasn't stupid. It wasn't stupid to think they stood a chance.

Her hand slipped from the wall and she went crashing into the corner.

Just. The ghoul got back up and found her bearings once more.

Leave it.

She had to move on.

Maze Number: 7

The next area that he reached was quiet, there was nothing going on here. There were still voices that were echoing down the mazes to his right and left - all around he could hear voices and screams, but none nearby... none that could mock him. None that could threaten him. Still, he kept his guard up.

It was exhausting sometimes.

As he kept walking the voices changed. Changed into a single voice that made him freeze momentarily. He knew it. He knew it even after years of it not being there. It was haunting and worse yet, it was bitter to know he'd still could be forced to hesitate from the sound of their voice alone.

"John Windwalker-" She sounded so sweet at first, so kind even. Happy and innocent yet oddly someone he couldn't say no to. Because she had still been his superior, she'd still been nice to him, trickery aside. It wasn't bad like the others. She'd been relatively harmless compared to others.

Yet her voice's innocent tone turned mocking as she called his relationship to Dakota to question.
Why didn't Dakota back him up?
Why did Dakota always show up after the fact? Wasn't he a 'bro' wasn't he the man of honor?
Where was the honor of a man who flirted with his wife?

It was like a knife twisting in his gut. Dakota would never do that. Not really. Cass wouldn't betray him like that. She was devoted, she was loving and caring and-
"You're dead." The words came out angry, and Dis purred.
"You're ******** dead." In the darkness he could barely see, but she was dead. He was alone.

"You're dead..." Dis had begun to laugh, asking if he really had no reason to question loyalty-
"You're all dead."

Dis just kept mocking.

[ ROOM 17 ]

In the distance, Ever thought he could smell air that was different, perhaps a breeze that meant an open door, but before he could get there, voices spoke in either ear, dangerous and familiar enough to make him shudder.

His brothers -- the twins -- weren't as bad as the eldest, at least, but they still brought back memories of childhood terrors, their laughter associated with tumbles and spills and jokes that had gone too far. This was, it seemed, more of the same: telling him which way to go, and that they waited for him in the other direction, and he knew what would happen.

They were liars, though: if they told him to go back, he'd go forward. Slowly. One step at a time.

The voices got softer and softer until they were a sea of whispers once more.

Edel ran her hand through her hair, frustrated at being subject to the same mental torment again. She'd been through this. Wonderland was her fresh start. She'd graduate and be over and done with all this.

The ghoul fumed and she blindly followed wherever the walls led, moving down another corridor.

Maze Number: 10

Uru was content that he encountered another eventful area after turning around the corner and hitting another corner. He was perhaps half way through the maze at this point, making a mental map of the place. If he had remembered to do so, he could have scent marked the walls he had already passed along while he was progressing. Hindsight...

The maze itself wasn't that big of an issue. What was was dealing with Dis continuously feeding him doubts, worries, lies. "Shut up."

Yet he'd kept going. The vampire wanted to break him. His body was all that had to remain intact. But the further Dis could break Marcus's mind, even temporary, the better.

The voices had stopped and in a moment on annoyance, Marcus threw the vampire down the hall, mind suddenly quiet.

"..Just shut up..."

[Area 10]

Another corner. She stopped, hesitating for a moment before deciding to give in to the method she had chosen to begin with.

You were always so lonely the whispers called.

It was true. The ghoul began to doubt whether she really had any friends at the academy.

Or had any ones left.

You were just lonely.

Was she? Was it just loneliness and not affection she felt?

[ EXIT ]

As Ever stumbled down the corridor, the voices of his brothers followed him: increasing in noise and violence as he went, their threats becoming more creative. It would be like dropping into a pool of water when he finally emerged at the other end, breathless and relieved, eyes pressed closed, free of the room.

Only one more to go.

His knees felt like jelly, and he lingered for a moment before continuing on.

Maze Number: 12

Felt like he was going back the way he came, but his hand remained on the right wall... so he was definitely not going to be going back to the entrance, that is for sure. The logistics declared it so. Luckily, where he stood at the moment to gather himself and mentally map was cleared of any sort of ... tricks.

Space 4 (Event 6) -> Space 7 (nothing)

"Oh. Hello," he said with as much of a smile as he could muster under the circumstances, surprised to find her so near. For a second he wondered if she had something to do with the voices, but his vague suspicion didn't last. Why would she? There were plenty of others around here who seemed far more nefarious than the priestess. "We should move on. This place is horrible." He took a step forward, then another, and when he turned back to see if she had escaped the irritating sound as he had, she was gone. Maybe he should have held onto her somehow.

Maple could hear voices, mingled with more voices yet could not determine if they were real or part of the room she was currently in. There had been whispers when she had entered, there had some that sounded more real than others - like they were in actual conversation with one another, not directed at her in the least and not there to simply taunt her.

Finally, though, she moved with her hand pressed as hard as it could against the nearest wall. Slowly she navigated. Thankfully nothing happened.

"Damn this tower," Shun muttered to himself as he went on into the next corridor. The first thing he noticed was that it was very dark in here. He furrowed his brow and carefully stepped forward, feeling a wall nearby.

"At least we don't need to drink anything," he uttered towards the Reaper tailing him, though he didn't look back. Taking a breath, he went in. Carefully, he tried to navigate through the darkness, but it wasn't easy. At some point in time, he ended up getting turned around.

"s**t. This can't be right."
