Serenno was knocked silly from the attack, to the point that he was actually standing faster than most people thought he might after an attack like that, but he looked completely and totally out of it for the moment, standing up in front of the steps.

Xavier got to both feet as well, able to get his breath completely. He raised the X up in the air to the crowd as they showed the X back towards him. After a bit of crowd pleasing, he turned around towards King.

As soon as Xavier turned around, Serenno's sight cleared, and it appeared that Xavier was poised to pay for all the punishment, as Reno ducked down low and tried to lift Xavier up and over for a back body drop, onto the steel steps behind Serenno!

Xavier was lifted up over King's head, landing back first flat on the bottom end of the steps! Xavier staring up at the lights, not moving as the shocking pain in his back kept him from trying any movement.

Serenno fell on his knees shortly after lifting the much lighter man over his head, just because of the pain that Xavier had put him through. Despite getting the upper hand just now, it was pretty clear that Xavier had gotten the best of Serenno thus far. Reno stood back up after a moment, walking over to one of the steel chairs laying at ringside. He closed it up and took it over to Xavier where he was resting on the steel steps, and made to swing it downward, hard, onto his opponent's chest as a wake up call.

Xavier saw the chair being swung at him, but the pain in his back was too much for him to even try to move, he was damn near crushed under the chair as he let out a faint yell as the air was driven out of him. At this point the pain in his back was gone as he was able to roll to his chest, clutching at it trying to regain his breath.

Serenno responded to this by heaving that chair up again, this time trying to bring it down on Xavier's back so hard that the chair might even bend.

Xavier started to get his wind back, JUST as he was crushed again with the chair, Xavier couldn't even make a sound, the only thing he could do was to slowly roll off the steps in total pain. He would stay on his side off the front of the steps with his arm on his back, unable to even think about getting up.

Serenno tossed the bent up chair away after that particular blow, and decided to help his opponent up to his feet by hooking his neck in a head lock. Then he grabbed Xavier by the back of the neck and tried to send him sailing over the barricade into the crowd at ringside to dispose of him.

Xavier was pulled up by his neck, and was send flying over the barricade, rolling down to his back to at least soften the landing as much as he could. He remained on the floor as the fans around him were yelling for him to get up.

Reno sucked in some deep breaths, not bothering to even look at his opponent's landing or check on him. He wasn't interested in going after Xavier anyway. Instead he turned his attention to that ladder that had been previously used against him, this time grabbing it and managing to slide it into the ring, following it as he did so.

Xavier rolled to his knees, crawling towards the barricade as fans near him were still yelling to him. He would grab the top of the barricade to start pulling himself up.

Serenno slid into the ring and took up that ladder, figuring it was already a good time to put this s**t to an end. He outstretched the ladder and locked it in place, positioning it in the middle of the ring. He looked up and realized that the belt was a little higher than he expected it might be, so he was a little slower to start climbing than was probably safe.

Xavier was pulling himself over the barricade wall, he looked up to see the ladder starting to be set up in the middle of the ring! Xavier rolled down the barricade to his feet, and made his way to the bottom part of the steps, using them to give himself extra height as he pulled himself to the apron slowly.

Serenno was still completely unaware of Xavier's recovery, as he was now halfway up the ladder in the middle of the ring, already trying to reach out for the quite out of reach championship belt.
