Hobo Pixi 1 = Gets countered 2= miss 3= Hit 4= Crit His strike had brought him in a little too close to do anything when the younger boy made a swift counter. Shun grunted as he felt the knee hitting him in the chest, and in the next moment, he was knocked onto the ground with a loud thud. Landing flat on his back like that had knocked the wind from his lungs. Wheezing and trying to get air back into himself, he kicked out at the other's legs to try and bring him down, or at least keep him back, while he recovered.

Blade Kuroda 1 = Shun gets to counter 2 = Lip misses 3 = Lip get in a hit 4 = Lip got in a really good hit (crit) Oh good! Lip managed to get the other on the ground. He watched the other wheeze then go in for a kick, deciding to just dodge it. He grinned and extended his hand to the other as he panted slightly from his work out. "You're... Quite a worth.. Opponent.." He chuckled a bit. "Names Lip, it's a pleasure to have sparred with you."

Shun had expected another strike incoming, but instead a hand was just extended out to him. He stared up at the other, then took the hand and pulled himself up. "You've bested me today," he admitted, begrudgingly. He didn't necessarily like it, but there was no denying it. He coughed a few more times, still a little winded from the way he had landed. Rolling his shoulders, he lightly dusted himself off, then nodded curtly in turn to the other trainee. "Shun," he said, giving his name in turn.

Farvardin tilted her head when he flung out another name at first. Hassan? She thought his last name was Rose. She shrugged and then nodded. "Yep. I mean really why have ground rules? If we ever have to fight other people it's not like we're going to stand around for ten minutes discussing ground rules. We're going to fight people who fight dirty if we ever have to fight others." She said. She kept her defensive pose ready for him to start. However if he didn't start soon she would take the initiative and throw the first punch. Not that she would punch first. Who knows maybe she'll throw out a kick or something. "So yeah.... you going to start anytime soon?"

Alec looked worried at the younger as she was knocked back, but realized she still had fight in her and wasn't ready to call in the towel just yet. He smiled back at the girl as she did. His nerves were on edge, jittery but between them they were having a brawl that was well met. Each had landed a blow, and raising his hands into a fighting pose he encouraged him to take his turning rushing forward. Using his speed to his advantage, he pushed off the field’s ground running quickly for her. The momentum was well balanced, and as he rushed her he swung his fist aimed at her stomach to return the favor a closed fist, thumb held properly as not to break it. While he didn't want to hurt Zinnia he traded her, the same respect she'd shown him in dealing a blow. Now that they were this close, he waited to see how she would respond. His blue eyes gleaming with the thrill of the fun of their little sparring match. Adrenaline coursed through his veins, forgotten was the initial blow at least for now, doing his best to keep up with the equally agile opponent. Renekai 1: Zin gets to counter attack 2 Alec misses 3: Alec gets in a hit 4: Critical hit!

Hilda was excited to hear they were training in hand to hand combat, for no other reason than that she was usually good at everything she did. Surely combat would come as a natural talent. Walking out to the field, Hilda was already sizing up Preacher. Hilda figured she had at least 2 inches and 25 pounds on her partner. The navy-haired girl should be no serious challenge. Reaching out to shake hands before the spar, Hilda was caught off guard when Preacher kicked her in the shoulder. The blonde gritted her teeth. If she's going to play dirty I can too.Hilda grabbed a fist full of sod and attempted to throw it in Preacher's eyes only to have a gust of wind blow it back into her own eyes. Screaming, she fell to her knees. Staggering to her feet, dirt streaming down her face like muddy tears, Hilda squared her feet expecting a boxing match type of spar from only to be surprised again when Preacher lunged out and grabbed her hair. Hitting the ground hard Hilda realized this wasn't really a spar as much as it was a fight. Quickly regaining her footing this time, she stood up, straightened up her shoulders and threw a wild haymaker. Instantly Hilda was thrown off balance and the momentum of her fist carried her soaring right past her mark. Once again Hilda found herself face down on the ground. After doing a quick inventory check for anything broken, Hilda hopped right back to her feet and braced herself for Preacher's next attack.

Zin tried to block at Alec suddenly rushed at her, but she miscalculated a received a solid blow to the stomach; the air whooshed out of her lungs and she suddenly knew how Alec must have felt. But she tensed up and suddenly found that she could not breathe. She stumbled back and just barely managed to not fall on her bottom. She raised a hand to motion for a pause while her mouth dropped open and she wheezed in futile panic. A few agonizing seconds passed, and her lungs suddenly opened up again and she was able to catch her breath. "Urgh... Nice one," she panted, rubbing her stomach. "Okay, I'm okay," Her eyes narrowed; she wanted to prove that she was just as good as Alec. She wouldn't back down now, even if her stomach still hurt. She returned to her stance and closed the short distance between them in a single stride. She aimed a sweeping kick to Alec's legs in an attempt to knock him over. leon_a_darkangel 1: Alec gets to counter attack 2: Zin misses 3: Zin gets in a hit 4: Critical hit!

"I'm still getting the hang of these moves. Wouldn't want to do one wrong and hurt myself." Jeong-jae lied with ease, used to making up things for prancing or teasing. He usually lied to cover up a surprise, not usually to spare someone's feelings though. Part of him wondered if he should respect that she'd seen through it and fight for real. Then as she punched back he winced feeling bad for her. The force behind the punch was alright but definitely not as strong as it should be. She was so skinny she probably didn't have a lot of muscle mass in there.
"Okay I'll get more serious." He nodded, deciding to try a bit harder but not go completely all out. She'd earned more effort from him just from the fact that she was trying despite having an obvious weakness. This Hazel Snow was determined not to melt away!
"Bring it on!"

She just stared at him; it was hard to believe his words. He was a young man, she had seen many young men wrestle or play fight as she walked to work. But perhaps he was telling the truth and he was not one of those lads who used to fight. Slight color came to her cheeks when she noticed his wince and a look of pity flash in his eyes. Hazel was trying, but it did not seem to be enough.
“Good, I don’t want to impede you and I do not want you to do the same to me. I am here to learn.” She went back into the battle stance, with her legs staggered; her left leg was in front and her right foot in back. Her legs were a little over hip distance apart. She brought her fists up to protect her face. Hazel knew that if she just punched with her arm again, it would be a pitiful punch like the previous one. What if she used her hips to give her momentum as orchestrated a jab? Well it was worth a shot.
Hazel gave a slight nod to his words. The thin woman took a deep breath; on the exhale she implemented her plan and shot a jab toward her partner’s chest. She was not sure what would happen or if what she did with her hips would even help her generate enough force, but it was worth a shot. ((Aw thank you! :} ))

So Alister was one of his brother's roommates, huh? He'd been pleased with how stunned the taller boy had been just before crashing down like a fallen log but he hadn't expected him to roll him over and sock him in the face. Ouch, that had hurt quite a bit since his arms had been somewhat restrained thus Hwan had been unable to block. Still, this was shaping up to be a good fight and he hopped back up on his feet and wiped at his mouth.
"Oh it's on, pretty boy." Hwan-jae balled his fists up and fell back into stance. Okay maybe his original plan to grapple the guy had been a bad idea with Alister's annoyingly long limbs. That would make punching difficult as well but he'd use his speed as an advantage. The darker haired boy shuffled around the lanky purple guy, encircling him like some sort of dance, looking for an opening. After two circles, Hwan darted forward to aim a punch at the other's chest to knock him back but with two inexperienced fighters, who knew where this was gonna land?
"Take that, you overgrown tree!" Not much of an insult but he didn't know enough about his partner yet to verbally really hit him where it hurt. Immediately afterwards, he sucked his head down to preemptively avoid that mean return hook he'd gotten last time.
((Once again, feel free to have Hwan miss or hit as you like/need. I'm sorry if the post is short or disjointed but I tried to get something out for you! The wifi here is not that great but let me know if you need more to work with. Still on a semi-hiatus 8/1 - 8/5.))

"Don't worry, you're doing fine." Jeong-jae shook his head as Hazel commented on their practice some more. She seemed to be a very serious person so he refrained from cracking a joke since this appeared to be important to her. Watching her shift into a specific position, he wondered what she was up to and waited for her strike. Then she flashed forward with a jan at his chest!
"Whoa!" It was a much stronger bit than her punch and definitely stung longer afterwards. Impressed that she was making progress after only a single hit, he wondered if he'd underestimated the girl. Rubbing the spot she'd struck, the boy grinned down and her with approval.
"Keep that up and I'll fight you for real!" Springing forward with a punch, he aimed for her abdomen, planning to wind the girl. His other arm followed to push her to the ground and straddle her with a hold. It wasn't the most elegant of attacks but it seemed like a good move to practice. Hazel didn't seem like she'd worry about the dirt either.
((Wow! Fast reply! Squeezing this out while I'm still at the wifi lodge!))

Preacher felt rather... disconnected from this fight. It was funny, in a way, to watch Hilda go down so easily. And the girl even knocked herself down! Was there no one in this walls-forsaken camp that knew how to fight? Well, Preacher imagined Shun knew exactly how to fight, although he was probably best with a knife in his hand. Tapping her foot, she waited for the girl to stagger upwards, mud streaked lightly down her cheeks. Gross. Alright, maybe the girl just needed extra time. Preacher had pulled a sneak attack on her, but she had expected at least the beginnings of a counter in retaliation. Instead, the navy-haired girl had gotten a wishy-washy bad luck attempt. Preacher could literally do nothing and Hilda would end up knocking herself out. She lunged forward again, feinting with her left fist. Hilda's aqua eyes fixed on that and she never saw the fist to her stomach. Preacher made a sound of disgust and danced back. Luckily for the blonde girl, Preacher had pulled her punch. It wouldn't leave a bruise. "Yer s**t awful at this. Hows come nobody in this ********' place knows how ta ********' fight?!" She looked at Hilda, and the smile faded from her eyes. Preacher needed a fight that was all bodies against bodies, bruised jaws, blackened eyes. She sighed and crooked a finger at Hilda. "This'un time, I want ya ta come at me, okay? Just try n' punch me any ol' where. ******** class="quote">The Sweet Llama

He had landed a hit! Maybe Alister could do this. Although, he didn't think he liked hitting people very much... While he was busy thinking, which he often spent a great amount of time doing, the other boy circled him. It was like being stalked by a smaller vulture. P-pretty boy? Alister flushed slightly. He supposed it was meant to be an insult, but he rather liked being thought of as pretty. Unfortunately, this meant he was ill-prepared for when Hwan stuck. The boy's fist glanced off of his chest to land a solid hit on his shoulder. Alister yelped in pain. "A t-tree?" Right, they were fighting. Right. He frowned and dropped into one of the stances the instructor had shown them. He swept his leg out, trying to knock the other boy down. If he did that, maybe it would hurt him less than punching him again.

"Lillian, then. It's nice to meet you." Larisa nodded, smile softening into something a little more genuine than nervous. At least it had, until she realized that her partner had paused at the admission of her inexperience. Ah, she'd disappointed her, hadn't she? Wincing a little, she fidgeted in place, but just managed to keep in stance rather than give in to the urge to fiddle with a sleeve or strand of hair. At least Lillian was being nice about it, offering her a chance to go first to get more comfortable. Eager to improve the impression she'd made, Larisa shook her head. "I-I'll go first, then, thank you, but...You don't have to just defend if you don't want. We're both supposed to be demonstrating our skills, right? So please feel free to counter."
She took a deep breath, then, gathering her courage and doing a quick mental review of what the instructor had shown them. If she just viewed this as just another job to be done, one more task to complete for the day, it wasn't all that scary, was it? It wasn't a fight, it was a chore to pick up and learn to the utmost efficiency. As nerves began to fade in the wake of a brief surge of confidence, she darted forward, pulling her fist back and launching it at her partner's chest in mimicry of the fist strike Ervette had demonstrated. "I'll adapt!"

Rose had little to say on anything, or, to ask. This was by far his weakest subject, and also to him, the most pointless. For him anyway. He was better a thinker, sure he should know, but he knew if he faced a titan it was the fast track to death. So, to learn to fight was a waste of time and resources. He'd be better learning how to read and write properly or how better plan attacks and map and do the more clerical sides of things. Even if his education was sub par none. "Uh-" He wasn't sure what to say. She knew who he was and would let him take first punch? "Um. Yes?" He held up his fists, looking at others to see how they were doing.
