Darcy rubbed the back of his neck tiredly as he walked into the kitchen to get him and Magni something to drink, mainly so he could wash the taste of fried oysters out of his mouth. How he let the larger man talk him into that he'd never know. He felt like if he moved his tongue around too much in his mouth he could still feel the slimy aftertaste and shuddered. Grabbing two butterbeers he walked back into the living room where his friend was lounging and passed on to him before flopping on the couch. As horrible as it may sound he hadn't wanted to hang out with Magni that night. He had only done so because after Jane had left that morning she had practically ordered him to have a night of revelry before the baby came. He should have felt relieved that she would think of such a sweet thing to do but in all honesty he would have rather be with her to make sure everything was going smoothly with her last few days of pregnancy. The baby was coming literally any day and he didn't want to miss it just because he needed to enjoy himself! But then again, the moment he and Magni had left he had begun to enjoy himself and felt tension he hadn't known he held leave his body. And now as he popped the top of his drink and took a long swig, he was grateful for her suggestion. He was just about to ask his friend what he wanted to do now when his cell phone began to ring. Curiously he looked at the caller ID and saw that it was coming from Jane and was a little curious about why she was calling so late. "Hello? What's wrong Jane?" he said into the mobile.

Jane held Aurora tightly in her arms and looked into her little eyes. She couldn't believe how beautiful she was and it seemed she was just barely born. She was just so tiny and tender, it was hard to believe. All that she had put up with these last nine months was completely worth it, she just didn't plan to get up off the couch anytime soon. Aurora's tiny hand reached out and wrapped around Jane's finger. A smile filled her entire face and she moved to kiss her soft cheek. She was so happy but golly, she was tired. What she needed right now was a long nap and someone to convince her to give the baby up for awhile. Her mother was supposedly coming soon to meet Aurora so hopefully the latter would happen so enough. Jane smiled as she thought about how her family had grown. For almost sixteen years of her life she was an only child but then the twins joined the family and then she'd met Darcy and all his family had been added into the mix and now little Aurora had come and she hoped more would be coming but not for a long, long while. Her body would not be prepared for that anytime soon. She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath feeling the warmth of the baby in her arms and she was positive this was bliss.

Darcy came from the upstairs where he was putting the finishing touches on nursery and saw Jane and tiny Aurora dozing on the couch. A bright loving smile came upon his face as he looked at both amazing girls in his life as he went over to them and gently sat down in the seat next to her and wrapped an arm tenderly around his wife being sure not to hold her too tightly since the woman had just given birth. He pressed a kiss to Jane's cheek and gingerly took the baby out of her arms softly cooing at her and looking into her beautiful eyes and marveled that he could help create something so utterly perfect. Ten perfectly adorable little fingers, ten perfectly adorable little toes, tiny wisps of dark hair, gods everything about her was perfect! "Not even a day old and you're already my little princess." he told her in awe.

Darcy apparated a few yards away from the house happy for the short walk especially because of the days he was having at the office. Ever since the incident with Balder and Luke he had been working with Magni in their spare time to figure out if what seemed like happened actually happened. Personally, he really hoped that his friend's brother was innocent and not the murdering psychopath the others were trying to paint him as. Although not to the face of his lawyer; for a young guy he was surprisingly scary when defending his friend. Even worse when he spoke in his horrible cockney accent and they couldn't understand a word. Unfortunately they hadn't been able to do much digging the last few days with their own assignments piling up, the most annoying one being the guy that was flashing people at the wall to Diagon. They had a suspect in mind, they just could never catch the perv! And the only reason he and Magni were even on the case was because their superiors were afraid Marina would inadvertently harm the poor b*****d if she actually caught him. He wouldn't exactly blame the redhead if she did, but he didn't want that to be one of her first cases as a fully fledged Auror. But still, he was home now and could leave all that baggage back at the office and just enjoy his time with his wife and adorable little princess. Merlin, she was getting so big so fast! It seemed like just yesterday Darcy had held her in his arms for the first time and now she was this toddling little miss. He put his key into the hold and swung open the door looking around for his family. "Hello? Daddy's home!" he called out with a grin. He really did get a extra kick out of saying that.

"Okay Roar, when daddy gets home your gonna run and give him a big hug okay?" Aurora nodded and giggled. "Daaaddy!" She squealed trying to wiggle out of her mommy's arms to go find him though he probably wasn't home yet. Mommy just laughed and let her go and she ran around the floor, having a great time of it then she heard the door open and her daddy's deep voice. She squealed and ran at him, making sure he could see the shirt she was wearing, just like mommy had said to.

She squealed and ran at him, making sure he could see the shirt she was wearing, just like mommy had said to.

Darcy grinned brightly as he spotted Aurora running full speed towards him, or really as fast as her tiny little legs could go. When she reached him he crouched low with his arms open to catch her and then raised her up in the air before swinging her back down to him for a hug and kiss. "Hello my little princess. How was your day? Where's your Mummy?" he asked the toddler with a fond grin before he noticed the brightly colored outfit she was wearing. He curiously read what was written and it took him a second read and all of five seconds to actually understand what it was he was reading. Holy Mother Mary, they were having another baby! In his joy he pressed another kiss to his daughters chubby little cheeks and went walking through their home looking for his wife to show her his full appreciation.

Jane waddled down the stairs, being careful not to trip and kill herself. She felt completely swollen and as though someone had kicked him where someone should not be kicked. Why she thought it was a good idea to host a dinner party in this condition she didn't know. She really wanted to just curl up in a ball on the floor, not that it was remotely possible. She could neither get on the ground or curl up in any sense of the word. She was completely unsure of how she had gotten so big so quickly, she was fairly certain she was bigger and more uncomfortable now than she had been at full term with Aurora. She was sure she could get through this. Probably anyway. She continued the rest of the way down the stairs and put her slippers on, very carefully. She'd long ago given up on shoes but it was winter time, she was allowed to wear whatever in the world she wanted. She had spent more than one day...less dressed than this if she was being completely honest. At the same time she was quite excited, she did love her parties. She wasn't sure who all would be coming but she was sure it would be enjoyable, as long as drama was avoided. As she moved into the kitchen she could smell the food that had spent the day cooking, though clearly not by her hand as nothing was on fire. Jane adjusted herself and relaxed into a chair, ready for this to happen so she could get it done with.
