Varuna is on the first/top floor!

When her attack it one of the corrupted senshi (Persephone), Varuna let out a small breath of relief that she hadn’t used the attack in vain. If she could stall just one Negaverser, that was good enough for her. Although the woman’s cursing senshi almost made her want to waste another attack, if only to have her completely covered in snow.

Luckily for the corrupted senshi, Varuna knew she only had a limited amount of energy, and the best thing to do right then was to save her attacks as long as she could. Varuna squared herself up to make a lunge towards the downed corrupted senshi, but before she could, a volley of trash and gunk was hurled her way by a senshi she did not know (Ate), and, as she did not at all fancy getting covered in slime, let out a shrill yelp of distress and dove out of the way.

Getting covered in toxic slime would just make her want to go home…

Liryn, on the other hand, had obviously not managed to get away from the sludge attack, and when he approached her, she couldn’t help but look him over guiltily. The box she’d dove behind had been partially ripped open, and she shoved her hand inside to pull out what looked like a baby blanket, ready to be shipped to whatever store had ordered it. Instead, she pulled it off its overly fancy hanger and reached out to try and pick up the cat to get him cleaned off.

Of course, his cat’s sense of smell was rather good, and she stared at him for a moment before realizing that he was right — she could smell smoke too. Why was it always fire??

Peering around the corner, it still seemed as though people were fighting, but she couldn’t see any flames… could that mean the floors below them were on fire? But why? Something was wrong with this picture and Varuna carefully set the cat back down, although she didn’t mind if he used her for a lift either. There wasn’t much she could do on her own… but if she caused enough of a distraction, then maybe that would give the others enough time to do what they needed to do.

Suddenly, the source of a perfect distraction caught her eye. A piece of machinery that she’d never used before, but how hard could it be?? It was inside the open freight elevator almost on the other side of where the action was taking place. But… The others seemed too busy in combat to notice…

With a small nod of her head towards the elevator, she gave Liryn a small look as if that would explain everything she was thinking. He was welcome (and would probably be needed as back up) to go along with her, but she wasn’t going to make him.

Jumping on top of the pallet of boxes closest to her, Varuna quickly sought out what might be a good path towards the elevator, and quickly made her way towards it, hopefully without anyone realizing her intent.

I guess this means the elevator's working. 8[a

Smoke. Again. Which obviously meant fire.

Ganymede came to an immediate halt in her search for a set of stairs to take them down, confused and wary as to what fate going any further would bring them. Common sense dictated that they leave right then and there. She'd had enough of fire for one evening, and the last warehouse venture had ended in a similar blaze. If they continued on their way down there seemed to be a very great possibility that they'd be trapped. Had the other floors been above them an escape via window would have been relatively simple, but she doubted there were many avenues for departure once one descended to lower floors.

The idea of dying was not one that sat well with her. At this rate she'd either asphyxiate, burn alive, or be buried beneath the rubble when the warehouse collapsed under the strain—and it was sure to with no way to put out the fire. Her death arising as a result of this war was not a fate Ganymede had resigned herself to even three years post awakening.

But strangely she wasn't afraid. Perhaps it was the adrenaline, or perhaps her successes over the course of the evening really had gone to her head, filled her with false courage. She'd always viewed fear as a healthy emotion; the absence of it, dangerous. Fear and self-preservation had kept her alive this long. It seemed foolish to rely on luck and bravery to do the same.

That was new to her—bravery. This surety, this acceptance. The thought that she might never walk out of this building; the response to it ******** it.

The smoke was rising, but Ganymede would not let that deter her. She grabbed her long red train and turned to Vallhalla, ordered, “Lift your knee,” and snagged the fabric on the sharp spoke of his armor until it tore. She ripped the train clean off until all that was left were minimal shreds at the base of her wings, and followed this action by tearing off sections wide enough to cover the nose and mouth, and long enough to tie at the back of the head. She tied a piece in place over the lower half of her face, then tossed a piece to Leda, Valhalla, and anyone who might be nearby.

“Cover your noses and mouths. It's not much, but it'll help.”

'Deja vu,' she thought.

“Turn back if you want,” she cautioned them. “But I'm going down. Look, there're stairs and an elevator over there.”

She made her way toward them, counting on the remainder of their allies to keep the assembled Negaversers occupied. She ran right into the other Senshi (Varuna) that arrived seconds before she did.

“Which do we take?” she asked. “If we get trapped on the strairs there won't be any way out. At least if the elevator stops working we can climb out through the shaft, right?”

Right.

… maybe...

Regardless, she furiously pressed the button to get the elevator in gear.

“Got it!” she crowed as the large mesh door rose up with a loud grind of metal.

Cora is going straight to the bottom floor.

The cream-colored guardian cat had followed couple senshi towards the warehouse, suspicious about Negaverse's plans. Sure, the electricity was back up again but did it mean the danger was over? Cora doubt so. There is something bigger going on.... Senshi entered in the building from the front door and the guardian cat was going to do the same.... until suddenly, she got a better idea. Maybe there was another way in?!

"I think I'll look around," she said to no one particular before trotting in excited manner by side of the building, looking for anything that could be used as an entrance. After a little bit searching, she found an air conditioning pipe with open end, big enough she could fit in here in her feline form. "Perfect," she said with a light chuckle before diving inside the pipe.

It was really dark in there, inside the pipe. Even with her feline senses as her aid, it was really hard to navigate in this metallic maze. Cora found herself relying more and more to her Mauvian senses while she searched for the source of the massive Chaos energy. Eventually, she found her way in the AC pipe that located near the roof of the bottom floor, just above the gathering of the Guard team. She could feel them, their energy signatures. She could somehow hear them. She could not see them.

Oh dear. That was a problem. She needed to find a spot where she could see them. How else she was going to find out what was going on?

The cat inside the AC pipe took a step. Metallic material under her body creaked a little. Did they hear it? Would they find out she was here? Suddenly, Cora, the cream-colored Mauvian with a pretty lace collar found herself paralyzed, afraid to take any other step or even any other move.

Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe this was a really bad idea.

Leto is on the first floor.

Leto glanced at Avalon when she called out to her and nodded at her with a grin. The Senshi were coming, the Strike team below had been informed, and now it was time to play.

Except for the fact that the first Senshi through the doors was Acubens, and that had Leto just as frozen as the Senshi of Velociraptors. She cringed when Acubens called her name, her eyes practically pleading with the other girl for forgiveness for being there.

Then Andronicus, the brave Page that wanted to protect her at the ambush only a few short weeks before. She offered her a smile when she bowed to her and quickly turned her attention away from the two girls- the last thing she needed in that moment was any sort of distraction, when suddenly more Senshi and Knights began to pour in through the bay doors.

A rainbow lasso sailed past her by mere inches, and garbage was being thrown at the opposition as they came. One particular power signature almost made her feel sick to her stomach with how disgustingly pure it was.And then, as quickly as the Senshi and Knights had arrived, the smell of smoke invaded Leto's senses. The plan below was clearly going uninterrupted.

For now.

Seeing a small group sneak away while the others remained occupied in the fight, Leto cursed under her breath. She heard the grinding of metal and she knew that without a doubt, others would soon follow the small group. Pain or not, she needed to act quickly. Shifting into her Princess form, her wings burst through the bandaging on her back, tearing open the gaping wounds that Wolframite had inflicted upon her. She summoned her crystal into her left hand and focused all of her energy into it. "Crystal Power Concealment!" she called, and suddenly the illusion of a deep, dense jungle sprouted up into the warehouse's first floor.

She hoped that it would serve as a distraction to keep any more of the White Moon from getting to the stairs or the elevator before the smoke and fire had a chance to seep into the first floor.

[OOC Note: Any Chaos person within 150ft AOE is now camoflaged. The higher the rank, the more camoflaged they are. However, the higher the rank of Order people, the more easily they can see through the illusions.]

*Attack Info:

Action: Focusing on her crystal, Princess Leto can force the illusion of a jungle in an AOE within 150 ft of her on all sides. There area appears to be covered in tall, thick grasses with a light fog in the air, and jungle noises accompany the setting. This attack lasts for 90 seconds.

Effect: While in the area that the 'jungle' covers, allies (Chaos) and Leto are completely camouflaged and allows them to attack their enemies while they are preoccupied with the new setting. The higher the rank of the ally, the more camouflaged they are. White Moon Senshi and Knights have a difficult time seeing their opponents and can be easily distracted with the illusion of a jungle surrounding them (sights and sound). The higher the rank of the Order opponent, the more easily they can see through the illusion and are less easily distracted by it.

Cyllene is on the second floor.

Cyllene heard nor saw nothing and no one else on the floor. Her sole focus was on the General that was to give her orders to set the floor ablaze at any moment. She heard the message come over the crystal communicator that the Senshi and Knights had arrived, and so she stared intently at Mica for the go-ahead. As soon as the words came, Cyllene stooped to grab her canister and practically danced past a few people.

Stopping for a brief moment, Cyllene flashed a huge ridiculous grin at Kerberos. "I love that song!" she practically squealed with delight as she sang along to his humming, dumping her gasoline on the floor as she twirled.

"Light 'em up up up, I'm on fiiiirrrreeeeeeeeeee~"

She flicked her lighter, stared intently at the flame for a brief moment, and then dropped into the gasoline, setting her section of the second floor ablaze.

Benitoite is on the second floor and going down to the third..

He knew he was late in turning up but he'd wanted to stop the bleeding in his mouth, he'd really bitten down on the inside of his cheek hard, not to mention he'd waited till everyone else had left for the warehouse.

When he finally did teleport in he was licking at the inside of his cheek, as if to soothe the area, and glanced about the second floor to the others he would be working with. His communications crystal was pulled out and held in place as he spoke into it. "Sorry I'm late General Mica, but I'm here now."

But it seemed things had already gotten to the point of setting the floor on fire - how lovely. With the orders given he didn't hesitate in fulfilling it, Bischofite's plans made sense and would work; he was sure of it. He did worry though about the senshi, and knights, somehow pulling some sort of win from out of their asses. he worried about some magic helping them as magic had suddenly brought dead people back at the surrounding. Some unexpected thing that was unplanned for and would cost them this whole thing. Biting his bottom lip he shook his head quickly.

Grabbing up the nearby canister containing the accelerate he began to dump it on everything around him before pulling out the book of matches he'd carried with him all night. Striking a match he dropped it before taking off for the bottom third floor, not wanting to be caught in the blaze they'd just set.

His cape was removed and his coat as well as he took off for the stairs that led down to the bottom floor. Booted feet hit the stairs hard, a pounding sound, as the petite General made his way down to the bottom floor. he hadn't looked back, didn't think to, as he hoped everyone else in their team had made their way down as well. As he reached the bottom floor his slate eyes darted about seeking Bischofite, the brains behind this whole thing. Was the portal almost open? Did he know how much longer it would be. He wasn't a fan of having a fire above them and something having to be done here, like the portal being established.

Chewing on his bottom lip he continued to look around while attempting to keep himself calm, the problem was that he saw no portal yet and didn't know if it would be up and running before something happened with the fire above, not to mention the senshi and knights could pull off some magical s**t to gain them the win. He didn't like thinking of such things though but could it really be helped? No, he didn't think it could much be helped. He had to hope the portal would be open soon so they could leave and let the youma have a go at the senshi and knights, give them free reign with them, as he had faith in the plan and in Bischofite. He just wondered where he'd found out about this, he hadn't asked him in private or otherwise though he'd been curious about it.

A few deep, calming, breaths were taken as the auras of the senshi and knights above bounced off his senses and sent a thrill up him. If it weren't for the fire and the plan he'd certainly go back up there and attempt a slaughter of them all. He couldn't though because there was a plan and there was fire above him, how sad and unfortunate. Though he had a feeling that most of the ones above would come down here, it was just how they were - running into things without thinking due to doing the right thing. That in mind he did summon his weapon and held it tightly at his right side, in his left hand was the communications crystal still held tightly in his gloved hand.

gunn is on the first floor!

The damn captain had helped that lieutenant get away, so when the chaotic signatures began to disappear Gunn had proceeded to follow the biggest energy signature she could sense. It was either a massive youma or an absolute ******** ton of agents, and she knew exactly which she was putting her bets on. (It was the giant Nega congregation. Hands down.)

After a few detours, she finally located the site of the Negaverse plot. It was a warehouse, of course, because why not? And before her, before the group, stood Leto.

Europa had told her about the dark mirror whore's recent upgrade. The specifics of it did not matter. Princess, Eternal, or basic scout, everyone burned just the same. "Hey, b***h," Gunn shouted across the warehouse, pitching her voice to be heard over senshi incantations and Negaverse orders. It had been forever since she'd seen Leto and part of her was fiercely glad Leto was still alive for Gunn to kill. The rest of her hated what had become of a once-proud Blood Moon senshi. She was an abomination, fit only to be put down.

Gunn was probably the only person who could take Leto down, at this point, and not have it be pure luck.

She barreled past the small cluster of other senshi, past Avalon and Persephone, and threw herself at Leto through the rising smoke. "Ironic, huh," she said. "Born in smoke and in smoke you'll die. Gunn Wildfire Propagation!" The fire below them roared in answer, the floor beneath them began slowly to heat, the materials melting together from the heat. Gunn's knees began to itch as the heat ate through the fabric of her leggings, but Leto, poor pinned Leto, would be feeling the heat much more keenly.

Leto is on the first floor.

The last time that Leto had seen Gunn, it was in the Surrounding where she was terrified of the Senshi of Wildfire.

Now, years later and a rank above her, that didn't change.

When Leto heard Gunn yelling through the crowd, she groaned and her subconscious forced her to take a step back. There wasn't a chance in hell that she wouldn't recognize that voice. "You've got to be ******** kidding me..."

She saw Gunn pushing through to get to her, throwing herself at her and she knew that if she stayed in her Princess form that her wings would be crushed and broken under her since her wounds hadn't healed yet. As Gunn made contact with Leto, she shifted back into her Eternal form and dropped to the ground under Gunn with a thud.

"You know as well as I do that I would die in smoke a hundred times over as long as it meant I was fighting with her," she quipped in return. "Once upon a time you felt the same way." She could feel the heat on her back as she struggled under Gunn, her shifting forms making her exhausted. Bending her legs at the knees so that the bare flesh didn't press into the ground, she thrust her hips repeatedly, trying to essentially buck Gunn off of her.

Doing so, however, forced her back and therefore bare shoulders into the searing concrete floor. She could feel her skin bubble with blisters as it burned.

Psyche is on the first floor.

Thetis is on the first floor.

Psyche wasn't too far behind Iris but the sound of Thetis crying out for her to slow down had caught her attention. Had she finally decided to care about the small guardian cat? No. Psyche looked to make sure Metis had made it here safely as well, who had been closer to the guardian cat than herself at the time, before heading in to back up her BFF Rainbowface.

The first thing she noticed was not her Captain but the smoke that was filling the area. It wasn't as concerning to her as it might have been someone with a little more memory to give them caution, but it definitely caught her attention. It wouldn't stop her though, nor her plans. She could feel it in the air, everywhere with the smoke.

Chaos.

Chaos pulsed through the air, sickening the senshi. The monsters were here, and she knew what must be done. She glanced around, her eyes spotting Iris just in time to see Ate's attack. Well, she was going to look around the party before joining in but that was enough of a cause than anything else.

"Breathless Agony!" She whispered, her eyes trying to fixate on her target as the building attempted to camouflage the Negaverse senshi in a jungle. She had to focus, she had to keep her eyes on the target, and soon she had to follow her feet as she ran to get closer to Ate so she could personally punch her in the face (or you know, try to, that was the real goal).

"b***h," she yelled, proclaiming her favourite English word.

Watching with horror, Thetis stood in the doorway of the building. He wanted to follow Psyche, he wanted to be useful but his legs fought with him. Why did this happen? He knew ********* would never let this stand in her way? Was this way Psyche loved her and not him? Was he simply too pathetic? Why did he let the fears control him? Why couldn't he be the strong, buff man he knew in his little heart he was? He didn't want to be this small, fragile guardian cat.

"Metis...? I could... I could use that ride now." He whimpered, an obvious fear in his tone.

That's HER RAINBOWFACE. This is her attack:

With a single whisper, the air around her opponent quickly becomes stale and then just as quickly the air around them seems to be stolen away, causing them to become unable to breathe for 40 seconds. It'll just be like holding your breath, except the opponent gets absolutely no say in the matter. It induces panic and after the 20 second mark, instead of dissipating, it begins to hurt prominently in the chest area.

Iris = FIRST FLOOR

"Snow slip!"

It was the main thing Iris could hear from one particular senshi (Varuna) amidst the growing chaos. Though she didn't see what such a magical attack entailed, the eternal senshi appreciated the assistance. Blindly flinging her attack into the group did yield some sort of result though. The rainbow snagged upon something that ended up screaming (Turquoise). There was briefly a grin before something black and goopy was flung in her direction. She only had a few seconds to decide whether to keep attached to her prey, or to detach and dodge the grossness that reminded her of Parthenope.

Opening up her fist, the rainbow vanished instantly, releasing the Negaverse Lieutenant back into the wild. With a push, she aimed to get out of the gunk-ball's way, only to find that the bottom of her skirt was soon enough splattered in tar.

"...And here I thought I was gettin' an evening off from Parthenope's bullsh*t..." she muttered out, barely glancing at her clothing. Magical outfits cleaned themselves well enough. At least there was something comforting about hearing Psyche's cursing nearby.

Iris' brief pause was enough for her to notice something.

With a couple undignified sniffs, she murmured "...smoke...?"

If smoke wasn't enough, soon enough a weird jungle seemed to explode about her.

"...well... sh*t..." With a groan, she seemed to whip out a cell phone to send a message out. With a quick message to a certain guardian cat, the eternal senshi seemed to banish the phone away into subspace before calling out "Iris Rainbow Ribbon!*"

With a newly tightened fist, another pastel rainbow lashed out in front of her, seeming to sweep the area in front of her before she resumed moving forward. Maybe she'd get lucky and catch something else to beat the snot out of.

* Iris Rainbow Ribbon - duller version of super attack. Lasso made of light, far less likely to burn, just being used as a light source for now.

Athene is on the first floor

Athene wasn't sure how to feel when he finally managed to make his way to where he sensed yet more Nega-auras and found a warehouse, after all he'd stumbled on the Negaverse trying to kill their former allies, the Dark Mirror Court, the last time he'd been in a warehouse and had subsequently ended up having to escape from the building after one of the Nega-officers set it alight.

Still even though the power had started to finally if slowly come back on after the Nega-group vanished from the plaza with the crystals they had been guarding in tow, Athene couldn't help but think that that wasn't the end of it all and although he had been unable to follow the teleport-capable officers he had done his best to track auras, figuring that he could try following some Lieutenant level auras.

Hence the warehouse. Which he was going to enter, despite not feeling keen on the whole thing. He could sense other Order auras around though and realised he wasn't the only person to have made his way here.

Inside it looked like attacks had been exchanged, with snow on the warehouse floor, along with what looked like rubbish - muck and junk of the type that Athene didn't want to look at too closely. Athene only knew of one senshi that used rubbish as part of their magic and that senshi was Atë.

Atë who had once been white moon just as much as he had. He had trained with her and Pomona back when Prince Castor had offered training sessions and patrolled a few times with her and had had awkward conversations with his cousin who had caught him scrubbing the mark left by her bright red lipstick when she'd kissed his temple as a parting gift that one time. But now she was working for the Negaverse - happily working for the Negaverse if her actions that night of the zoo was anything to go by.

And she was here, Athene had spotted her amongst the Nega-officers. Had spotted another corrupt eternal amongst them as well along with oddly enough a Dark Mirror senshi, which was odd only in that it hadn't been that long since the Negaverse had tried to kill off the Dark Mirror Court - or at least that was the way things had appeared to Athene - and so he personally would have thought that they would stay neutral.

And then she was shifting forms and Athene realised that she was more than just an eternal level senshi, just as a jungle suddenly appeared in the confines of the warehouse and hid both the Dark Mirror Princess and Nega-officers from sight. At least at first it did as both the sight and sounds about him distracted Athene for a few moments and then with loud 'plosh' he stepped into something wet, his eyes glancing automatically down. It was a puddle, a puddle of water intermixed with muck and totally out of place in the supposed jungle. A jungle, which after a good bit of frowned concentration, Athene realised wasn't real. The smoke he could smell however was real, real and coming from somewhere below.

Below? For a moment the thought had him pause. Why was smoke coming from below? And then Athene was moving, despite liking this whole thing less and less it appeared something was happening down below, mayhaps even with those crystals that the Nega-officers had been guarding back at the Plaza, which meant that he had to somehow find a way down.

Falias is on the first floor

Falias hadn't been particularly enthused to find the warehouse, especially since the last time that he'd been in a warehouse had ended up with him on said warehouse floor as the place burned and although he had somehow unlocked the strength to increase in power level to Squire and that pink-haired Dark Mirror senshi had helped him escape - it was an experience that Falias would rather not go through again.

From outside Falias could sense four particularly strong chaotic auras in close proximity. Two corrupted senshi, a Nega-General and an eternal level Dark Mirror aura. He could sense strong aura on the Order side too, two or maybe three eternal strength auras and a Knight aura and on stepping into the warehouse he could see that it appeared that battle had already been joined, given that parts of the floor was covered with junk and muck and there was a bit that had what looked like snow on it.

He didn't get much more than that quick glance however as at that moment the Dark Mirror senshi's aura changed from the strong aura of an eternal to the blazing one of a royal.

Royal? But I thought the Princess died back in the ambush WP set up He had time for that quick thought as a female voice shouted an attack and then suddenly there was a jungle in the warehouse, an honest to goodness jungle with sight and sounds.

Falias had tried to move through it, as best he could with wand to hand when he started to smell smoke and the immediately thought of 'not again' slipped through his mind. The jungle was hiding the door though and Falias wasn't about to try and find his way back to it.

Then he heard a voice call out something about a rainbow, thought he could see a dim glow of light from up ahead and did his best to head in that direction.

Bischofite is on the third floor.

Drawing a slow breath, gold eyes diverted their gaze to the ceiling. "We may not haf' a chance..." He started, though Serpenine's approach soon drew his attention. The general approached in usual flair, righting the dregs of an oil slick rainbow to showcase his face. Conscious actions, conscious movements. If nothing else, Bischofite remembered Serpentine as a purposeful man - one with little need for accidents.

Everything's happened, Serpentine. I may have unraveled my own plans. Anyone conscious of structural integrity knows that if this building burns for long, it may collapse in on itself. Though the ceiling might hold above us, already it points to my intentions... As one with the foresight to retain this location for a portal standing open indefinitely would never compromise its housing. A fool's choice - or just another gesture toward ulterior motives. "Serpentine." But the man wasn't fishing for acknowledgement. His hardened gaze settled on his peer's stoic visage. "You can feel what's happened - ze approach of senshi. You were on ze front lines; you know how well plans are proceeding."

However, his mention of Malicious proved far more alarming. Surely they weren't far from surmising his true reasoning behind this vast charade... "Sink about it, Serpentine. We haf' Rift crystals here as a better messod of containing large amounts of energy. We seek to open a portal between zis domain and ze Rift, a home well-known to youma... Along wis' its crystals. Who better to construct a portal zan a youma wis' ze mental faculties to produce such results? Officers lack such an intimate knowledge of ze crystals or our destination. It would be unwise to rely on one of our own for it, but... Could you imagine our officers putting zeir lives on ze line to buy time for a youma? I can't."

Inwardly Bischofite hoped he dodged that bullet, but expected that defending himself against this fragment of the Negaverse alongside the White Moon may well be a possibility now.

"Malicious, if you'd hurry..." He cast over his shoulder, abstaining from projecting any worry.

"It helps if you don't bother me, General. These tasks require my concentration." The youma called energy at a quick clip about herself, though her mouth watered at the possibility of simply taking the lot of it in to prolong her stay. Soon, she reminded herself.

A creak in the ventilation shaft caused the general's lip to twitch. He recognized his nerves frayed with the palpable tension, though he still inwardly berated himself for reacting to the simple groans of a building under duress.

Leda is on the first floor.

"Oh..." Leda mumbled to herself, more than ready to follow Ganymede's lead. As an eternal, Leda surmised that she knew what she was doing - and if the blonde determined that circumventing the fray proved a far better idea than thrusting herself headfirst into it, then Leda had no qualms against it. If anything, it felt rather refreshing to avoid a fight, even if it only lasted a few minutes...

Yet those minutes felt like hours as Leda crept along the parallel aisle between large racks, with each gap between pallets offering a glimpse at the fray. She caught herself peering between boxes toward their enemies, particularly Persephone, who stood defiantly against those she once called ally. How could she? How many of them supported her in her days as a White Moon senshi, only for her to spit in their faces? And for what? No matter how often Leda tried to consider it, no clear answer surfaced from her ruminations. Soon afterward she caught herself lingering behind, and she hurried to keep up with Ganymede and Valhalla.

Valhalla's observation led Leda to sniff the air a bit, realizing the presence of smoke soon after he articulated it. But why? No one was in the lower levels, as far as senshi went... Right? She hadn't felt anyone of their alignment in the lower levels, but the Negaverse held hostages that were senshi or knights before, so it wasn't out of the question... "Do you think they're hurting people down there?" Even asking the question coaxed tears to her eyes, though inwardly she brushed them off as a product of the smoke.

For this, a piece of Ganymede's train was gladly received. She pinned the red fabric to her face in hopes of staunching the smoke inhalation.

"Either way they'll hear us coming..." She mumbled through the fabric. "But if we get in the elevator, we have a little protection, right?" Stairs offered nothing to deter the weapons of the Negaverse, but the mesh door might just work for a bit... Certainly enough to hold the enemy at bay in case they needed to go back up. Leda followed the pair into the elevator, flashing Varuna a quick smile before she realized that the entire lower half of her face was obscured by the strip of train.

"Three floors... Which do we pick? I mean, which floor is on fire? Maybe they both are..." Maybe this entire warehouse is just another distraction.

Sarras is on the top floor.

It seemed that part of taking up the role of knight in this city meant that one should never assume their work was done. He just managed to survive one ordeal, only to be thrust into another, and now, as if listening to Buddingtonite's rambling and facing off an angered equestrian youma wasn't bad enough, he found himself drawn into the warehouse, and not content to just leave the Cosmos page with the knowledge that something big was happening down below, fate seemed to think he was ready for smoke and fire. <******** great... as if the last firestorm wasn't enough!"

At least this one seemed to have been started by the Negaverse and not one of their own. Not that it brought him any comfort- fire was fire, wild, uncontrollable and last he checked, every single person here was susceptible to its wrath. Though it wasn't just the flames they'd have to worry about, as the smoke that pillowed through beneath them gave them, yet, another obstacle to overcome, but at least it seemed as though they wouldn't suffer for long. The one that challenged Buddingtonite--Ganymede-- had managed to get the lift going, and Sarras might not have known exactly what waited for them below, but there was little use in roasting alive here. Best to be under the flames than on top, he thought to himself.

So he was making his way towards the lift when he spotted the lieutenant caught sneaking away from Jade's apartment, and the sight of other senshi already upon her offered some relief. If she fell here, then at least Jade's identity might have been safe, and Richard wouldn't have to wake up to news of her death... he moved to assist them instead, just as it appeared that several officers disappeared out of thin air, thanks to the senshi with the strong Mirror aura. He kept going forward with his charge, not spotting another lieutenant in the corner of his eyes until he had nearly bumped into him. He caught the movement and lashed out, not once looking at who he threw his fist at!

Canopus is on the top floor.

Somewhere amongst the Chaos, Canopus had lost track of Astarte and Auriga, as well as the Rainbow senshi that had likely saved them. Everything was happening to fast, so quickly that she couldn't quite recall exactly what had happened after the rainbow whip sent the bull youma crashing to the ground, nor how she ended up here. It was all a blur... a dream, a nightmare...

She was never meant for combat, she told herself time and time again as she found herself in the warehouse, Order and Chaos signatures of various strengths and potency surrounding her. There was smoke, coming from the flames below, and she tried so hard not to remember that night weeks ago. When they were ambushed, attacked, betrayed! There was smoke then too- she tried not to let her mind retreat into that memory because once she chased the rabbit in she wasn't sure she'd make it back out. "No, don't think about that night. Don't... it's not the same... it's not..."

Suddenly, she felt it. A strong ping of Chaos energy, familiar, comforting, alluring to her. She had felt it in so few individuals and she felt her fears leave her body. It was that of a royalty. She moved towards and when she saw her, she wondered how she could even miss her! "Princess Leto!"

Though her wings retreated and she fell back into her Eternal state, she still held authority over Canopus, and the senshi rushed towards her, regardless of the danger that the other Senshi and knights may have posed to both of them. Why was Leto here? Was she helping the Negaverse, after what they had done?! Whatever her reasoning, she couldn't strike against her Princess... but she would not fight for the Negaverse either. There was only one thing to do, and that was to protect Leto, even with her life! Her loyalty remained with her court... regardless of where her court stood.

"Princess!" Canopus shouted, running forward and too desperate to save her princess to notice how the concrete burned her toes, and when she was close to the Wildfire senshi, she went to bull rush her off of her. She had to save her princess, not matter the cost. "Stay away from her!"

Canopus is on the way, princess!

Don't mess her up too badly? She's just a widdle baby mirror senshi XD

Tsui is on her way to the second floor.

Already suffering a wound, the Eternal senshi of Tigers kept after her prey, even when he disappeared from sight. This night had been one disaster after the other, but it was easy to forget the betrayal of Persephone as Tsui kept after Benitoite. The two had only begun to fought and the tiger had only a taste of his blood, so to speak, when he made a hasty retreat. Tsui wasn't fooled into thinking she had chased him away- she knew from experience that it'd take a lot more to that to send Benitoite packing. It simply meant that they had succeeded in their plan, and one look back and seeing an empty spot where the crystal was confirmed it.

Now Tsui was still in pursuit, using the bow at her collar to make a makeshift bandage for the cut at her shoulder and moving towards the warehouse. Of course they'd be hiding in the warehouse! There were times like this that Tsui wished she had the insight to think that far in advance, but now was not the time nor place. She had to find Benitoite! She was going to knock his teeth in for what he did to Bazzite!

She came in late, and the only thing she noticed beyond the flames and Leto was that there was a lift working, and that there were people on it. And if there were people on it, then she'd be on it too. After falling for two distractions, Tsui knew that whatever was happening on the top floor was nothing more than a decoy, and she didn't feel Benitoite or see him. Meaning wherever the General was, it was below.

"HOLD THAT ELEVATOR, I'M COMING!" Tsui shouted with a growl, running right for it and giving little thought or care to the chaos going on around her. She was going to find Benitoite, one way or another! They were going to finish their fight!

Astarte is on the first floor.

With Megrez now occupied with throwing plates, Astarte hoped that bought her enough time to wipe some of the sticky sludge off her uniform, and more importantly, scrape it out of the gash she sustained from that general... Thus far, simply scraping at it with her hands offered little remedy, and peeling one glove off to wipe it out amounted to the same effect. Muttered cursing accompanied her attempts before she finally gave up on the idea of cleanliness altogether.

And soon, she realized that her state of dress was the least of her worries.

A familiar, almost sweet smell accosted her senses, and Astarte recognized it almost immediately: fire. More accurately, smoke. But where was it? Astarte spotted no signs of fire yet, nor did she feel a rising heat beyond what was expected of battle. Still, she found it prudent to keep on her toes, especially in this mess.

All she needed was for a cat (Liryn) to confirm it. "Shite, they're smoking us out aren't they?" But with the bay doors rolling shut behind them, Astarte figured they weren't intended to go anywhere.

Suffocation tactics.

"Hey," she called to the egg senshi she bossed around earlier. Afterward she stumbled toward the pallet and caught the girl's arm. "We can't stick around here. Smell that? We've got to get out of here, or to lower ground." Luckily she paid attention through all those fire safety courses as a child... When smoke stemmed from fires, one had to drop to the ground. Perhaps the same held true in a smoky warehouse...

But could the others buy enough time for them to escape?

Astarte doubted it. Out of nowhere, an immense jungle sprung up in the midst of the building. What in blazes is this? However, Astarte suspected she had little time to marvel at the magic of it. Between the sweeping blades of thick jungle grass clawing toward her waist, she lost sight of their attackers.

This didn't bode well.

Buddingtonite is on the bottom floor...

'We may not haf' a chance...'

Not something Buddingtonite wanted to hear, especially coming out of the mouth of the one that organized this whole thing! As the flames started on the second floor and the tingling of Order aura's tickled his senses, Buddingtonite dared not take his gaze off Bischofite, listening to him as intently as one could, given the sheer amount of pain medication he was on.

Thus far, Bischofite's reasoning was sound, but there was still something that Buddingtonite knew he was missing. In silence, a surprising feat for any that knew the rose-clad general, he struggled to piece together what was going on and it had little to do with the pain meds. There was something off, something he didn't like, something he wasn't understanding about this situation, or Bischofite, or Malicious...

Malicious. That's a stupid name. That's basically warranting disaster... that's like trusting someone with the name Deception...

"Bischofite... you... you were ordered by our superiors to do this mission... right? This is their idea... right?"

Finally he tore his gaze away from Bischofite, but it wasn't to look at the youma that spoke up. There was an electric hum, and the sound of shifting gears alerted him to the lift. That wasn't suppose to be working, was it? He produced his boomerang and held it at his side, and just like that, any fear or apprehension he had in regards to Bischofite's scheme was gone from his brain. He gave a shout to the rest of the team, reeling his weapon back and ready to let it fly the moment the doors opened.

"Apparently one of them must be the Senshi of Repairing Broken Elevators! Get ready, ladies and gentlemen!"
