Yaholo stroked Rilind's hair as he spoke and gave a chuckle. He knew they had a job to do, but he still thought that they could slow down a little for his Rilind's sake. He was still in so much pain and needed rest, which was obviously far more important than whatever they had been doing before. Still, even if he were allowed to carry Rilind back to Andile with him tomorrow, he knew that he wouldn't be able to take care of him as well as these men had done thus far. Rilind was better suited with them for now, no matter how much it bothered Yaholo to accept that.
"Of course, Rilind, I'll be here the whole night." He said, soothingly. "I'll be right here if you need me. Just let me know..." He leaned forward and kissed Rilind's forehead. "Sleep well. I love you."

He'd be here the whole night? It was a reassuring promise, one that allowed the red head to slowly sink into sleep. Just knowing that Yaholo would be nearby if he needed him was really all that Rilind needed, especially after so long with the two of them being apart. It was like a dream really, he'd even believe that a dream was all that it was were it not for the fact that he was still in pain from his wounds. The pain was helpful, it let him know that he wasn't dreaming, that Yaholo was in fact nearby. As he slept the red haired halfbreed scooted that much closer to Yaholo, even going as far as to cling to him in his sleep with his good arm. Ril really wasn't the sort that was demanding of anything when he was awake, wanting to take care of himself whenever possible, but when he was asleep it would appear as though he was far different. He wanted to stick close to Yaholo, to hold onto him tightly, to keep him nearby. While he knew deep down it wasn't something that he could do, not when he Yaholo had children he had to get back, but that didn't stop the unconscious part of his mind from trying. Sticking close to Yaholo in such a manner seemed to have another, rather miraculous effect as well, that being the fact that Ril was able to make it through the night without any nightmares. There were no appearances by his father, no getting attacked by the Dretch, nothing was trying to chase him or kill him, it was just peaceful darkness. It was something that he couldn't help but to appreciate, feeling as though a good night's sleep was something that his still healing body really needed. Yet another thing he needed to thank Yaholo for. It was when morning came, along with the sounds of those outside the tent moving around, that Ril's eyes opened slowly and he realized where he was. He couldn't help but to flush a bit when he realized that he had wrapped himself around Yaholo like a serpent. Instantly he was debating if it were possible to retreat without being noticed... though at the same time he was kind of happy right where he was. After much thought he decided to just stay where he was, wanting to enjoy the closeness for just a little while longer before he was forced to let Yaholo go.

Yaholo looked nothing short of a beautiful painting when Rilind awoke. His hair had come out of it's pony tail and now lay strewn in all sorts ways across his face, while his mouth hung ajar in a low, but oddly quiet, snore. A few odd snorts would spring forth from his mouth as he breathed and his brows would furrow and relax, but to know if these things were a sign of dreaming, or vague awakening, would never be truly known. He kept his arms wrapped around Rilind, with one hand buried gently in his hair, and began to murmur as the sounds of the others outside filtered into his ears.
His eyes pulled open and fluttered, like curtains in the wind, and squinted shut against the morning light. Despite the tent flaps covering most of the light from the outside, the bit sun rays that passed through still managed to make his eyes twinge upon waking. It was a downside to living in Jauhar, where it was pretty much pitch black all day, but it was only a temporary problem. He blinked and extended himself in a stretch, a yawn rolling out like a wave, before smiling down to Rilind.
"Good morning, my love." He said, kissing Rilind upon his forehead. "How did you sleep?"

Rilind starred at Yaholo, remaining silent, as the man seemed to be coming to. His dark eyes opened up before giving a flutter to get used to the sun light, then a stretch and a yawn, all of which Rilind took in, noting every detail. Yaholo meant to leave soon and he sort of wanting to soak up every moment that the two of them had left together given he wasn't sure when they would meet again. He just wanted to remember him in detail, especially in the current mood and position he was in. It was all quite nice and inviting if you asked him, though perhaps a bit on the embarrassing side given the manner in which Yaholo referred to Ril as his love. Cheeks coloring a bit at both the greeting and the kiss he said, "I... slept surprisingly well." It was nice, to be able to sleep so deeply and find himself completely devoid of the normal things that haunted his dreams. Giving a ghost of a smile he said, "Perhaps we should do this more often, I could use more restful nights without nightmares." An open invitation to Yaholo for whenever he felt like coming back in a way, though said in a very Rilind manner where he didn't exactly invite him, it was just sort of implied.

Yaholo purred at the sound of Rilind's voice and gave him a tender nuzzle against the top of his head. His Ril, curled up next to him... It was the best thing he had woken up to in a long time. He blinked slowly, his body still taking it's time to wake up, and sighed when he remembered he'd have to leave the comfort of his lover's side. It was such a bother that Rilind was going to be so far away again...
"Perhaps?" Yaholo mused, giving Rilind a mock-pout. "If it makes you so comfortable, we should always sleep close together like this..."
He paused, gazing towards the tent flap.
"...I wish I didn't have to leave." He sighed. "I'm going to miss you so much."

Rilind glanced up at Yaholo when he mentioned always sleeping together like this. It was something that sounded really nice in theory... but he also knew that since Yaholo was leaving soon that it wasn't really meant to be. It was on the tip of his tongue to ask Yaholo to stay with him... but he forced the words down, knowing that saying something like that was beyond selfish. At least he had the memory of getting to sleep alongside him for a night as well as the memory of Yaholo saying that he wanted to always sleep like this. They were things that he would keep close to his heart. Sitting up, though slowly and a bit stiffly, he said, "I am glad to hear you don't want to go but I know that you need to." He had other responsibilities after all. It was something that he sort of envied, the fact that Yaholo had a family he wanted to return to. It was something Rilind wanted too, feeling that it was far superior to the idea of having a family that wanted to kill him instead. One day, perhaps, he thought to himself before turning to look over at Yaholo, reaching out brush a hand against his cheek, "I... probably shouldn't be happy about that but I kind of am. It's nice, knowing I will be missed." Again, selfish of him but he could count on one hand the people who would miss him if he were to vanish again with Yaholo being the one at the top of that list, "I understand though why you have to go. It's why I won't protest in anyway about it. I just... if you can, sometime, come see me again." He still couldn't quite find it in himself to demand that he return but at least asking him to come back was a start.

Yaholo let out a brief, but low whine as Rilind moved to sit up. He was far from ready to get up and go, he wanted to snuggle his Ril for just a little longer! He inched forward, almost pleadingly, and pressed his forehead against Rilind's. He wanted to steal him away, sneak him into Andile and keep him there forever, but it simply wasn't practical... And it brought tears to his eyes.
"I will come, I promise you." He said, giving Rilind an Eskimo kiss. "No matter the weather or the circumstance, I will come. I love you."
He sighed and bit back the urge to cry, before wiping his eyes dry with his sleeve.
"Well... I'd better find Yanenowi and... S-saddle up for the road." He muttered, forcing himself to smile. "...Maybe next time I'll bring the boys. They'd love to meet you, Ril."

Rilind watched Yaholo come in closer to him and he let his eyes close as the bigger man rested their foreheads against each other. He seemed to be trying to soak it in, the warmth and the closeness, so that he could recall it all later. He found that he was really enjoying this, finding that Yaholo was the one that he could trust most when it came to things like this. How he wanted to stay like this a little longer. His now green eyes popped open again when Yaholo spoke though, a hint of pink showing on his cheeks when Yaholo nuzzled against him, "I... ahh..." His blush seemed to get worse as Yaholo claimed that he loved him, words that he'd only ever heard from Yaholo, and therefore was always surprised by.
After a moment of though, and a rather huge internal struggle, he leaned in to press a kiss to Yaholo's forehead, "I... umm... I really miss you." He said, struggling to get the words out, but glad that he was able to do so. It was hard to speak his mind when it came to good things, his heart having been closed off a long time ago, but when Yaholo was around it was a lot easier to say nice things it would seem.
Giving a little smile and a nod he said, "I... yes, I would like to meet them." He wasn't sure what he would do around a couple kids but he meant to try his best. He wanted to meet more of Yaholo's family after all. It might be important, as well as unavoidable, if he was going to start hanging out with Yaholo more after all.

Yaholo's eyes further dampened as Rilind stated that he'd miss him. He turned his gaze away out of embarrassment and wiped at his eyes repeatedly, hoping that his tears could be overcome without too much fuss. He didn't want Rilind to see him crying, he wanted their parting to be remembered as warm and filled with love, not filled with tears and sadness. He allowed himself to relish in the closeness of Rilind's kiss before nudging himself to his feet, his back giving a slight tug of pain in retaliation.
"I almost wish my back would give way so I could stay." He thought, wiggling his sides a little, before turning towards Rilind again. "Where in the devil is Yanenowi? ...I hope she didn't get into any troub-"
"Gwaaaa?" Yanenowi called from beneath a pile of towels in the corner of the tent. She wiggled forward, a towel still covering the majority of her vision, and booped her nose against Yaho's ankle. "Gwaaarrraaa...?"
Yaholo couldn't help but laugh as his cloth blinded familiar fumbled over to him and bent down to pull the towel off of her face. Once it was removed, he gave her a slight push towards Rilind and smiled.
"Say bye-bye to Ril!" He said, his expression faltering. "...We'll be seeing him again soon."
Yanenowi paused and gave Yaholo a head tilt, before trotting up to Rilind and nuzzling at his side.
"Gwaa!" She cooed.

Rilind watched Yaholo closely, not sure if he should say anything since the dampness to Yaholo's eyes was something the bigger man seemed to be trying to hide. Instead of commenting he merely gave him a smile before struggling to his feet. It took some doing to follow after him but he didn't wanted to see him off even if it was causing a bit of an ache in his various wounds. At Yaholo's mention of wishing his back would go out so he could stay Rilind said, "No going to such extremes. Just come back after you find your boys, it would be easier." Not to mention the idea of Yaholo being in pain wasn't something that sat well with him. Rilind would rather take every wound for him if it meant keeping Yaholo safe, he was used to the pain after all.
When Yaholo asked about Yanenowi he found himself looking around, not really sure where the creature had gotten off to... only to see the thing suddenly emerge from the pile of things kept in the corner of his tent. He blinked a couple times, then gave a mental sigh, knowing those would need to be cleaned up. Later though, after Yaholo had gone on his way, he wasn't about to sacrifice any time with him for cleaning after all. As Yaholo told his pet to say 'bye-bye' to him Rilind did his best to keep from showing any outwards signs of the pain he felt in his chest. He was really going now he thought to himself sadly before he forced a smile, "Yes, you will see me soon." He said, not wanting Yaholo to feel any worse then he already looked.
Turning his attention to the creature that was suddenly coming over to nuzzle him he hesitated, starred a moment, then reached out to pet Yanenowi. He wasn't really used to pets but this one wasn't too bad he supposed, at least it wasn't trying to bite or scratch which was a bonus, "You take good care of him for me, alright?" He murmured to the creature before moving over toward Yaholo, his movements a bit slow. It was something that was driving him crazy, how bad his wounds were. They were what was keeping him from being able to leave with Yaholo... but it was something he'd have to deal with. Once he was better he'd seek the dark skinned man out, for now he'd see him off with the best smile he could muster.

Yaholo faced Rilind with his best smile, though it was far more obvious that he wasn't exactly happy that he was leaving. With his eyes wet with tears and his face flushed, he looked about as ready to leave as Rilind was, and it was taking all of the emotional strength he had not to break down and find a way to stay just one more night. But, he knew that if he got one more night, he'd want another, and another, and that was something he couldn't do. His babies needed him back at home.
He gave Yanenowi and pat upon the head as she affixed herself to his shoulder, her usual perch of choice, and moved to pull Rilind into a hug again.
"Please, rest well and don't do anything crazy while I'm gone." He whispered. "I don't want to see you in a heap when I return, please pace yourself... Healing takes patience and time..."
He bit his lip at the end of his sentence and planted a kiss upon Rilind's lips, before he let him go and inched himself towards the entrance to the tent. The Massif kept his eyes upon Rilind as he parted the flaps and forced himself to smile through the tears as he left.
"Until next time, my Rilind. I love you." He said, his final goodbye before he lowered the flaps again and shuffled himself away. His steps felt like they were being weighted down by boulders that dragged along behind him, but, as he turned his head back to look at the campground one last time, he felt as though his heart wasn't as broken as it had been before. It was just a little bruised.
