He nodded, and finished, then stood again. "All right, go for it. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know." He wasn't sure how much he could do, but perhaps he could do SOMETHING. It seemed like it would be hard to wash on her own, certainly.

She thanked him, then waded into the water. It was cool, but not so cool that it was uncomfortable. The stream was fairly shallow too, and she had to lay down to get her wings close enough of the water to submerge them. The injured one was the only one which she did submurge though. Easing it down under the running water gently for a few minutes with a sigh. "Oh that feels nice..."

He stood quietly, watching in approval at her handling of the problem. He nodded a bit, and stepped back to settle down and graze some while she washed her wing. "I am glad. I hope the water is helping with the pain some?" He didn't wish the mare to feel more pain then necessary, of course.
As he watched, he pondered the situation, a small smile on his face. "I think you will find yourself welcome to stay in the area as long as it takes for your wing to heal. Certainly, you can stay in the glade I tend to rest in. It has plenty of grazing, and is quite comfortable."

"Thank you, for everything," she smiled, glancing up at Rosh. "I was on my way home to visit my mommy when this all happened, and I'm sure I wouldn't be doing so well if it wasn't for everything you've done for me today." Once most of the blood had been washed from the wound, she bent her neck to preen the surrounding area.

Rosh gave a warm smile at that, finding the way she spoke of her mother rather cute. "Well I am sure my friend can get you healed enough to see your mother soon. Perhaps I could escort you, just in case you were to encounter that unpleasant Stallion along your path again?" He tilted his head curiously when she began to preen, not quite at an angle to tell what she was doing, then saw what she was up to. He settled back, comfortable.

When she was satisfied that the wound was as clean as she would be able to get it, she stood, and waded back to the shore. "Thank you. I'm sure mommy will like to meet you. And after travelling alone for so long, I really wouldn't object to the company."

"Well then, it's settled. I'll accompany you, and meet your mother. I look forwards to the trip." He rose as well, and stretched. "Are you ready to go? We can stay by the river bank, there's more sun there to help you dry yourself." A cold on top of everything else would have been cruel irony and he was keen to avoid that. He suspected she'd feel the same, or more so.

She made sure she was still a few steps away from Rosh, thenshook, shedding most of the water in an instant. "How much further is it? Part of me just wants to get there and worry about drying then."

"Oh I'd say 5 to ten minutes at most. And of course, I can understand that... I just was thinking of catching a chill. Perhaps I am overly worried." He cast a gentle look over her and shrugs, then begins to lead the way.

"I think I'll be fine," she said with a soft smile. "The sun may not be bright here, but it's still warm and the water doesn't chill me as much as I would have thought."

"All right. As long as you are comfortable." He tossed his head a little, as one of his curls falls into his eyes. He crossed his eyes for a moment, giving his hair a mildly annoyed look, then shrugged and continued forwards. "We'll basically be there as we get to the other side of this bend in the river."

She giggled then hurried a few steps so she could walk next to him. Where before she was too tired to take a good look at her surroundings, now she was distracted by her new companion. He was a handsome stallion, for sure. There hadn't been much time to give him a good look when she'd landed, but now she saw how his wings were well kept and had a healthy sheen to them. She always appreciated a nice pair of wings. And his antlers! A fine rack. She had to bite her lip to keep herself from giggling again.

He glanced to the side, seeing the mare catch up. He smiled at her, sidelong, keeping an eye on her. She was certainly a lovely young Angeni. He wondered, vaguely, if she was one of those who preferred the company of their own kind, then shook his head a little. If she did, she probably wouldn't be all that thrilled to go with him, and she hadn't minded, so that was clearly a silly idea. She was an elegant girl, with her long neck and that lovely braid. He found himself thinking that he might like to get to know her better.

Her eyes flicked away from him as he turned his head toward her. It would be unlike a lady to be caught staring! She would never let her self be caught being anything but a lady. As she pretended to care about the scenery a little flower caught her eye. "Oh! Those flowers grew all over the place where I grew up!"

He turned his head forwards after looking at her for a long moment, and smiled as they moved along the curve. Almost there! Chane surely was close, and Zeldin could get the help she needed for that poor wing. At her words, he tilted his head thoughtfully. "Perhaps my friend does not live far from there, then. We might even be in walking distance of your home." His tone was light and innocent. "I don't recall seeing anyone who reminds me of you, in looks, but then I am not always good at spotting that."
