Matt's eyes rolled behind his aviators at the last comment Dion made, letting out a loud but sarcastic, "Yeah, thanks!" in response. The General Manager's body slumped backwards into his chair as his right hand raised to pinch the bridge of his nose. The House problem was one that was starting to simmer down, but he knew it could resurface in full force at any moment. Hopefully, Dion was right.

Andrew James Warner

Matthias snickers and lets go of Warner's shoulder, turning around and sitting on the box next to Warner, facing the other way. He looked up, smiling, almost laughing at sime cosmic joke, before looking down at the jumble of steel bolts in his palm, twirling them around, thinking how unnecessary they were now.

"Mmmm...not sure whatcha talkin' bout Warner...though I did appreciate the irony. Someone who trained my mother...going through exactly what she went through...wonder if she'll turn out the same way? Don't you think its funny? Warner? How the universe balances itself out...how people somehow always get whats owed to them?"

AJ would lie about it until the day he died, but a small change in mannerisms spoke the truth: he felt uneasy sitting next to Matthias. The hungriest dog ate the fastest, and it seemed like Matthias was rushing himself in his attempts to serve his personal definition of justice. But he had a young man he was growing familiar with watching over the injured body that was AJ Warner, and that was a blessing in disguise for the uncomfortable middle-aged man. But his confidence was going strong, knowing Aiden was there to keep an eye on the situation without being noticed by the second-generation Landry.

"No, I don't think it's funny. Ironic? Yes... but humorous? I'm not sure. Fate isn't equal or fair for anyone... and for some punk to insinuate that he's going to issue karma like it's some kind of subpoena he carries around in his back pocket... that is where I find the true humor. What's really funny... is that the bitter people like you in this world... are going to end up like the bitter man sitting right next to you, and I'm sure in twenty years from now, if you even make it that long, will look back on this moment and think... 'Damn, I really should've listened to AJ'. Some young guys around here understand, though. Isn't that right, Aiden?"

Aiden couldn't tell right now what was more hilarious. The fact that some cheapskate could make attempts to humiliate AJ while the guy was trying to relax. Or, the fact that the same guy had no idea that Aiden was behind him. Then again, Aiden's boots were padded and Aiden made no attempts to make himself known to the scene. Warner clearly knew Aiden was there from occasional glances over in Aiden's direction. But Aiden himself just kept a stationary, quiet form behind this guy as Warner spoke his responses. You gonna leave me streaking in Florida, too? Aiden didn't understand that reference, thus it must have been a personal history between the two. Regardless, the fact that the guy still held a hand on Warner's shoulder didn't seem to fly well with Aiden at the moment. Half of him wanted to make his presence known and take the guy's hand off of Warner himself. But the other half of him, liked the allure and mystery of not being seen yet. The suspense of it all and the unknowing of what's to come.

The guy seemed to now take his hand off of AJ's shoulder and round the room to a box that was close by AJ. The response that the guy had was one that was interesting enough and rose an eyebrow under Aiden's mask. Mmmm...not sure whatcha talkin' bout Warner...though I did appreciate the irony. Someone who trained my mother...going through exactly what she went through...wonder if she'll turn out the same way? Don't you think its funny? Warner? How the universe balances itself out...how people somehow always get whats owed to them? AJ trained this guys mother? Just how old was AJ again? Aiden forgot about the age difference, mostly because he never asked. Then again, that wasn't something you just toss around openly. Especially if the age would have others perceive you as 'weak' or 'frail'. Half of Aiden wondered what AJ would have been like if he upkept a straight edge lifestyle as Aiden had lived. One without drugs, smoking or alcohol. Sex on occasion, but not frequented. Clean eating and daily exercise routines.

Aiden couldn't notice any change of facial expressions on AJ throughout this guy's response. But hearing AJ's response in kind was one that Aiden smirked about. Aiden could hear the fight underneath AJ's words and the fire of confidence that was hidden away, but was still alight. Aiden might have caused that flame to burn bright in EVO, but this was BBW. A new ballgame and a new territory. No, I don't think it's funny. Ironic? Yes... but humorous? I'm not sure. Fate isn't equal or fair for anyone... and for some punk to insinuate that he's going to issue karma like it's some kind of subpoena he carries around in his back pocket... that is where I find the true humor. What's really funny... is that the bitter people like you in this world... are going to end up like the bitter man sitting right next to you, and I'm sure in twenty years from now, if you even make it that long, will look back on this moment and think... 'Damn, I really should've listened to AJ'. Some young guys around here understand, though. Isn't that right, Aiden?

Showtime. Now that Aiden's name was brought up, Aiden would make his presence known by rounding the corner of the other side of the box AJ was sitting on. Simply standing a foot away from AJ and keeping his arms at his sides. Looking over at AJ, Aiden simply nodded and spoke his response in kind. "What I think is funny, is this kid thinking that he can uproot your personal problems to act all high and mighty. Just because you supposedly trained his mother, he thinks he can draw parallels between her personal problems and yours. Like you said, AJ. A bitter person now is going to be a bitter person down the line. I don't know who this kids mother is, and I couldn't give a damn about her personal problems. Or him to be honest. If he's gonna' get in your face and talk trash, he better have a good reason. If he's just bitching, just to b***h. Then he's exactly that. As for me, yeah. I get what you said AJ and I took that to heart from day one. I stepped into the ring and challenged you to a war of words. Look where that got me today".

Matthias couldn't believe this kid's ignorance. First dressing like his dad's alter ego Duality, to getting the identity of Gail Kim wrong, to trusting SJ Warner? It was absolutely hilarious. Matthias snickered and stood up again, sizing up the masked man. He found him wanting.

"First off...AJ couldnt outwrestle a paper bag, let alone my mother. We were talking about Gail Kim...secondly, I wasn't here to talk trash to anyone, let slone some Duality ripoff...and third..." Matthias paused and took a few steps closer to Aiden and smirked, "My 'reason' to do so...would be he, Summers, and Freakshow...ambushed me, poured gasoline on me and tried to set me on fire on live television...now I won't punish you fir your ignorance, but believe me...that one will," he said, gesturing to Warner, "and the only thing that you can possibly learn from him, in life, or in the ring, is that you can't...trust...anyone. Back him up at your own risk, because he'd just as soon stab you in yours."

Now, there was a confrontation. Aiden liked this. Thrived off of this. If it was any indication that he could hold his own against AJ Warner in a battle for mic supremacy, this guy would be a cake walk. This guy seemed to be quite annoyed, or irritated, with what Aiden had to say about him upfront. The guy made a statement at the end of his speech that stuck in Aiden's head. Would he remember it later on? Maybe. It would certainly not be forgotten and would most likely be tucked away some place in his head for future debate. But for now, his focus was on this Elmo red fire head that was running his mouth off in front of Aiden. First off...AJ couldn't out wrestle a paper bag, let alone my mother. We were talking about Gail Kim...secondly, I wasn't here to talk trash to anyone, let alone some Duality ripoff...and third My 'reason' to do so...would be he, Summers, and Freakshow...ambushed me, poured gasoline on me and tried to set me on fire on live television...now I won't punish you for your ignorance, but believe me...that one will.

Debatable. Aiden knew who Gail Kim was, of course. Former WWE Diva turned TNA Knockout. Took a slue of topless pictures for magazine articles just for the money. Women's champion more than once. So on and so forth. As for the comment about Duality? Who the hell was Duality and why should Aiden even give a s**t? Still, Aiden noted the comment about how this guy said that AJ couldn't even out wrestle this guys mother. Interesting. Another question to add to the lineup of responses Aiden would have for this clown. The guy didn't seem to be done, so Aiden simply kept his posture the same throughout and made no real change of pace or sign of offense just yet. The only thing that you can possibly learn from him, in life, or in the ring, is that you can't...trust...anyone. Back him up at your own risk, because he'd just as soon stab you in yours. It was good that Aiden was wearing a mask right now and no one could see through the liquid white eye holes at this time. Seeing as Aiden was interchanging looks between AJ and this guy simultaneously.

Since the guy seemed to take a step forward to close the gap, Aiden simply made sure there was no gap period and stared this guy down. He already had a ton of things he could say. But everything would be in succession accordingly. "Okay so, you guys are having some chat about a former Women's Champion who put her tits out for magazine articles just for the money. Nothing real redeeming there. Secondly. Some.. Duality guy? Who the hell is Duality and explain to me why I should give a damn about him. Let alone some chick you call your mother who you say can supposedly outwrestle Warner? Okay. I'll give you your shining moment to be your parents biggest fan and kiss a**. Do them the honor of defending their name while telling me just how much their gonna' come and find me and kick my a** and blah this and blah that. I don't give a damn who your parents are. I really don't. If you feel inspired to explain to me just who the hell they are, go for it. Otherwise, all you're doing is telling me something I already know about not trusting anyone".

It would appear by that point that Aiden had enough to day. Even taping a step back and turning. But son, he looked right back over to this guy and got right back in his face. "As far as anyone trusting anyone? You fail to realize this little 'team' I have with AJ. I never said he was a friend. I never said he was a best friend .I never even said he was close. Hell, I don't even see him outside of the arena or hangout with the guy. When I talk to him, it's strictly business. In the arena. Professional talk. I already know not to trust anyone. So what if he tried to set you on fire and gangbang you with friends of his. He told me enough about his past that I could harness that as a weapon. I've seen his lady friend before. I met her up close. I know her name. I don't think AJ is in the right place to be issuing any threats to me or thinking of taking me out when I'm far greater of a physical asset to him than an enemy. Like I always say. I don't forget, and I don't forgive. If anyone tries to take a cheap shot at me or assault me from behind? You bet your a** they're going to be on my hit list. Bank on it".

Matthias couldn't wipe that smile off of his face, the complete ignorance this rookie had was absolutely classic. He had no idea what they were really talking about, or who some of the legends of this business was, let alone how much his legendary hatred for his parents motivated him. As far as he was concerned, this Aiden kid was as clueless as you could get in this business, and he felt sorry for him. He wasn't going to HELP him, but he did feel bad for him. He couldn't wait for someone to take advantage of this naive kid for the first time and leave him in a puddle of his own blood. Oh, it was coming.

"I can't really tell which of you is less worthy of my time...This green as grass, clueless newbie..." he turned back to Warner, looking over his shoulder, "or this washed up, burnt out, has-been...? No...I do know..." Matthias turned his back on Aiden and leaned over in front of Warner, looking him in the eyes, not caring if Warner would return his gaze.

"You took everything from me...And I can see in your eyes, someone took that from you...so i'm going to wait...until you have something to lose...so I can take it from you...You, Summers, Freak, all of you need to find a hole to hide in, with all your money, and your drugs, and your strippers, and just weld the door shut...because once i'm ready...nothing less will keep you safe..."

Matthias spat at Warner's feet, then stood up and looked over his shoulder one more time at Aiden, shaking his head and laughing before walking away. He did have a match to prepare for, after all.

Matt sat backstage, well to be more accurate he was sitting at a plastic table on a cold steel chair in a rather large room that was being used for catering. Anyway, he leaned back in the chair and looked down at the open notebook he had on the table. It wasn't a work of art, but it was a pretty decent sketch of what appeared to be two people forever stuck in mid match. "Nothing better then relaxing before a match." he said out loud to himself as he stretched his arms out. It was rather nice to not have to focus on kicking somebody's a** for a moment or two you know? It's all peaceful like.

The first sign of life other than the emotional pain previously worn over his face was an upbeat smile given from Aiden shooing away the dangerous basket-case that was Matthias Augustine-Landry. AJ extended his hand with the smile still stuck on his face, and he looked up to Aiden with proud eyes. "How could I stab someone in the back when they have as tough of skin as yours?"

Aiden silently listened to this guys reply, and held a signature smirk worn about his lips. To be called a 'green as grass, clueless newbie'? That was a new one. Yet, Aiden liked it. It displayed a sense of underestimation that the guy had for Aiden. An underestimation that Aiden thrived upon. Being the underdog or perceived as the 'weak link' in any situation caused Aiden to be much more motivated about his matches. Being given the cold shoulder because no one thought he could beat certain wrestlers or do certain things, made it that much greater when Aiden proved them wrong. This kid thought that Aiden was betting it all on the line when it came to having AJ as a manager. Yet Aiden was the kinda' guy that never needed one. If anything, AJ was just teaching him warnings and what to look out for in the 'big leagues' of wrestling. Nothing that Aiden couldn't handle, or wouldn't, for that matter. But Aiden would still keep a close attention on the words that the guy spoke to him about AJ having allies and what he did.

As the kid started walking away, Auden simply kept his eyes on the guy from behind his mask. Additionally hearing the sound of movement behind him and AJ's voice perk up. Not knowing that there was a winged spy above them perched on one of the light fixtures. As cool as Ravens and Crows were and as nice as it would be to see it come down and make it's presence known, Aiden didn't even knew BBW had a bird problem. How could I stab someone in the back when they have as tough of skin as yours? Hmmm. Aiden looked over as AJ offered Aiden his hand in a form of shaking it, most likely for thanks for defending him. Aiden gave him a quick handshake, but it wasn't one that was as lengthy or gripped as the one in EVO. "CM Punk thought the same way when it came to Paul Heyman. The Best in The World versus The Beast Incarnate. In two-thousand and five, people undermined Punk and told Heyman that he was not worth investing time in. Fast forward to two-thousand and thirteen, everyone was proved wrong".

Aiden at this point, let go of AJ's hand and simply walked back around to AJ's side that way the two could sit and talk. This time, facing towards any entrance way into this area that way Aiden could keep guard. Finding a folded up black chair and unfolding it for him to sit down on, Aiden would do just that and cross his arms over his chest. "Point of mentioning that, was not to say that I'm going to be the next CM Punk. I'm not The Best In The World. As much as I'd like to be and as much as I could draw a ton of parallels between Punk and I, there is still that fine line of how Heyman worked. Heyman was a manager to many people. Always had his friends. Always had his allies. Always had a backup plan. When Punk and Lesnar were put up against each other, Heyman ultimately chose Lesnar over Punk. Not only that, but the fact of the matter is this. Every manager has his allies or his 'best friends' they could could on to take care of business. After listening to this side of the story, consider me having a guard up" Aiden added.

AJ essentially took Aiden's message as a hesitant one, knowing Aiden was not comfortable always trusting Warner and his paranoia must've been at an all-time high due to the pairing being fairly new. The Shooter thought about taking out another cigarette, but remembering Covell's straight edge lifestyle, perhaps the endless hunger for nicotine and the quest for it to be quenched would wait. "You're not supposed to trust me a hundred percent. This whole pairing of you and me... it's new. Be reluctant when you think you should be, ask questions, test the waters before you jump right in. In time, I won't let you be as paranoid. That kid you just encountered? I never had any positive ties with him, other than running into him once or twice in a locker room when he waited for his dad. Only difference is, his dad was a hell of a guy. Take everything hid kid says with a grain of salt only to rub it in his wounds when the time comes."

Warner leaned his body more towards Covell, or at least shifted his hunched and tired position more in the direction of the wrestler under his wing. The omniscient bird keeping an eye on them was nowhere in AJ's sight, and despite being so paranoid from all the drug use, he didn't have any suspicions. "How you feeling? Anxious? Prepared?"

You're not supposed to trust me a hundred percent. This whole pairing of you and me... it's new. I never had any positive ties with him, other than running into him once or twice in a locker room when he waited for his dad. Only difference is, his dad was a hell of a guy. Take everything hid kid says with a grain of salt only to rub it in his wounds when the time comes. Listening to that response rendered a few questions Aiden could easily bring up to further him asking questions and getting in AJ's head. He noticed AJ attempt to pull out another cigarette, but hesitate. Most likely due to having respect for Aiden's lifestyle. Aiden appreciated that. Sure, Aiden could admit that the guy did render Aiden a bit paranoid about the partnership he had with AJ as Mentor and Student. But Aiden would simply take it as what it was and not allow himself to think on it further.

"No offense, but I don't ever trust anyone one-hundred percent. The way I live live, I make do with every opportunity I get and don't waste anytime dealing with the drama that comes with it. People can s**t on me all they want about me being straight edge. But hell, just means I'm much more healthy then they are,. I bust my a** in the gym. I take care of my body. I stretch out before every match. I don't go to bars or anyplace where I could catch any harmful secondhand effects. Wrestling is my addiction. Wrestling is my anti-drug. Wrestling is where I live, breathe and give it my all. As far as questions go, I have plenty. But I'll pick at your brain when the time is right and I don't have a match to focus on tonight. Plus, I can tell the situation with Elmo a few minutes later got you all flustered and craving a cigarette so, I'll avoid slamming you with the hard questions" Aiden spoke from behind his mask with a slight smirk on his face. AJ followed up with asking the question about how Aiden felt about his match. Aiden had to think this one thorough.

"Facing some guy that I've faced before in the past. Wasn't a common thing for him and I to face each other but. It earned us a debut, Best of Five series from the get go. That must mean something, right? He's a tough competitor and he knows what the hell he's doing in the ring. His ring psychology is spot on. He's quick. He's agile. He hammers in moves when the opportunity presents itself. He can pop up on your six when you don't see it coming and take you out if you aren't careful. I know who I'm dealing with. But I don't know what bag of tricks he added to his arsenal. Thus, tonight is going to be one hell of a match. I don't do what's convenient for the fans, I do what's convenient for me. If they don't like it, tough s**t. If they cheer for him and boo me? Awesome. Criticism is an asset. The people who shutdown when given harsh criticism are the cowards that will never get anywhere in life. You want to see a guy who's prided himself on his work ethic and doesn't care about any adversity? Watch me tonight against this guy. It's going to be worth watching".

AJ enjoyed the enthusiastic words Aiden had covered about tonight; he seemed ready to go and despite his words, the excitement was written all over him. Warner entered his teacher from and gave a few words of advice while he could. "Don't be afraid to mat wrestle with this kid... use it to your advantage even. Slide around, show him that you could be at all four turnbuckles for all he knows. Just don't try to outmuscle him; swiftness is what strikes first."

Ever so short and sweet, AJ gave Aiden the advice that Aiden wanted to hear. Advice that would work well the Aiden's moveset if any opportune momentum was presented to him. Mat wrestling with this guy wasn't something Aiden was foreign to doing. Then again, Mat wrestling wasn't part of Aiden's common maneuvering regime. However, Aiden always meshed whatever styles he could together to get a win. Or, what he thought would pick up a win. In this case, it would be simply mat work, quickness and skill. Aiden could do that. "That, I can do. Let's see if he can handle me in the air while I handle him on the mat. Submissions. Lock ups. Kicks. Punches. We'll see how this goes. Got a television anywhere close? You're gonna' need one. I'll be comin' backstage after my match to hear your criticism and opinions. I think it's about time for me to head to the Trainers Room to get stretched out and prepped for the match. Don't smoke to many of those things, alright? Lung cancer ain't something to ******** with" Aiden replied jokingly.
