The question remains, which rose will he meet next? It.. appears to be a normal rose. He paints it quickly, while keeping an eye out in all directions (he might look a bit twitchy to others). Are they just biding their time? Next must come the ambush, right? What had just happened here? IBB stared blankly at the paintbrush in her hand and then up at the roses before going back to the brush. The gardeners certainly had wasted no time in shanghai-ing her and vanishing. Still, after everything else she’d been through, painting roses shouldn’t be that hard, right? With a small sigh, she bent to dip her brush into the paint can. Once she figured that she had enough paint for a good coating she straightened and selected a rose.
Taking more care than was likely necessary, she carefully painted, making sure not to splash too much paint about. She found herself thinking about what she’d overheard about one of the gardeners being up for beheading. Yeah, if the people around here took their roses that seriously, she was going to be super careful.
After a few moments, she stood back to survey her handiwork and gave a satisfied nod. Sure, it still looked like a rose that some idiot had slapped paint on. “Oy!” a sneering voice called out as she began to move on to another rose, “you call that painting? My bud could do a better job than that!”
As IBB turned to try and locate the source of the voice (and possibly punch them in the face), a thorn laden tentacle snaked out from one of the roses and literally smacked her upside the head.

Shaking her head to clear the muzziness from the rose's tentacle slap, IBB swung out with her paintbrush, slapping the rose and keeping it at bay long enough for her to grab her pocket card.
"Needing some help here, gimme some options."
"You currently have a March Hare and a Lu..."
"Yes, great. That first one and let's make it snappy!"
Within seconds, a small, diamond patterned hare appeared and began to kick the rose with it's strong, hind legs. IBB followed this attack with one of her own, flailing and whacking at the rose with her paintbrush and a stream of invective. And just as quickly as it had started, the rose seemed to withdraw and fade.

Now watching the roses suspiciously, IBB took her now slightly battered brush and dipped it into the paint can, once again making sure she had enough paint to cover the rose. Though, she couldn't honestly say that she was being quite as careful now to do a good job. Those gardeners had left her here alone with angry, violent flora. And with two roses down and none of the rest looking like they were interested in starting up with her, IBB once again dipped the brush into the paint and began to work on the final rose.
Within moments of the last drop of paint touching the frail looking petals, the rose shuddered and a small treasure chest was dropped in front of her.
